Sam's Apartment, Los Angeles, California

"And that's why you're boring, Sam," Huifang shook her head, with the devil in the bottle having already possessed her somewhat. Chugging a hundred energy drinks has been more of her style recently. Drinking alcohol, even a few drops, was never something she was great at. But tis the season, right? She took another swig of her bottle, wiping her lips with her arm. "Team names are cool! Team names make you cool! Guys, we need a really cool name, something that would strike fear in the hearts of our enemies and make the NPCs love us as soon as we're mentioned!"

Turning to Song, she grinned from ear to ear, her beauty a seductive cure for her non-sober state, even though the lovely lady's back was turned to all of them. "I do get very filthy at times if you know what I mean. Hehehe," Huifang chuckled to herself for an awkward amount of time before shifting her gaze to sweet, sweet Meera. She winked at her once, took a final sip of her drink, and winked at her again as she deposited her bottle on the table, almost dropping it on the floor. Luckily for her, and her hosts as well, she was quicker and more agile, managing to catch it before she could make a mess. "Oops! I think I need to dip."

Sam's Apartment

Sam simply nodded at Meera's argument and then subsequent agreement to his statement, the one he had thought would be offensive. To be fair, Sam didn't really think it was an offensive point, only that someone else might take it as such. He was a lawyer with clients all over the goddamn world. Someone was bound to take something inoffensive to him as offensive to them. Just different points of view. Nothing else to it. It wasn't the time or place to start a war of words anyway.

"Well, I can't argue with that," Sam raised his cup toward Huifang, agreeing that he was boring af. At least at that moment, he felt like it. Meera and Huifang both traveled seas and skies to spend the holidays with two complete strangers, even if they were online friends. He could've done the same, but the main reason why he suggested his place was because he didn't want to, because he was too boring to make that decision. After working with different people all over the world, it just felt too much, too like his work, if he traveled elsewhere for the holidays. Sometimes, boring can be good. "Those are also very good points, but I agree. Maybe you should take a rest. Been a great night so far, but it's time to head in, girls. Sweet dreams."

He raised his cup toward them again before taking a long sip. Once they were gone, he'd finally have some alone time with Song, and that would be the best holiday gift of all. If ever.

"Mm-hm," Meera threw Huifang a bone of support while flashing Sam an apologetic look. It seemed that their friend wasn't doing well with all the alcohol that she'd been pumping into her system throughout, but Meera didn't judge her for it. She was free, she felt free, and Kamala knew that freedom meant a lot for Huifang, all things considered. Putting an arm around Huifang's neck, Kamala looked into her eyes with a warm smile. "I think you're both right: It's time to get some rest."

Meera helped Huifang off of her seat. She gave Sam and Song brief nods, a gesture of gratitude for having them over and for such a great time. "Come now, sweetie," Meera purred into Huifang's ear as she began to lead her to their room. "Let's get you in bed." As someone who wasn't a stranger to being the sober one in such gatherings, Meera has had a lot of practice taming the sort and making sure they wouldn't get themselves into trouble.

Huifang was most accommodating to her attempt, and with relative ease, she managed to get her in bed. "There we go," she grinned as she carefully placed her friend in the bed, wrapping her body with a blanket for warmth. "We had a fun day, didn't we? We'll have a couple more fun days while we're here, but for now, let's have a good night's rest, Huifang."

"Okay, mommy," Huifang quipped at Meera after raising her bottle toward Sam, having agreed with his agreement. She tried to get herself off her seat to follow Meera as she lead her toward their room, leaving her bottle and everything else with Sam and Song. The engineer almost fell limp, but when she remembered it would only weigh her down and trouble Meera who was just helping her get to bed, she tried her best, mustering every ounce of strength she could to not do just that.

That would be an a-hole move not unlike calling your ex when she was just about to move on after you ghosted her for three months. Damn, that's personal.

Once they were in their room, Huifang stretched her arms and yawned, feeling good enough to finally sleep thanks to that bed and the blanket. With a smile on her face, she turned to Meera and patted her side of her bed, inviting her to join the two-person slumber party. "We had... Join me?" She yawned again, and as soon as Meera would join her, she'd cuddle with her, the clear big spoon in this friendship. Their vacation wasn't over, only the day was, but Huifang can only smile as she looked forward to better days ahead while the sleepiness overcame her. Tomorrow's gonna be a good day, yeah...

Sam's Apartment

Sam smiled as he watched the girls head in. Song was just finishing up with cleaning up, too. Well, the cleaning up by the sink at least. Sam was the one who ended up tidying the table while Sally the Beagle made sure to keep the floor free of any crumbs or remains of food. Sally the Beagle was still the woman of the house, after all. Sorry, Song.

Once the girls were gone, Sam turned to Song, a playful smirk on his face. "Honey," he purred, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "The kids are asleep." At his touch, Song let out a long sigh, relishing the warmth between their skin. She rested her head on his shoulder and grinned. "You know what means, right?" The lovebirds stared at each other with their adult imagination before the camera faded to black.
