It was rare for Ruby to visit Redchron, but with her options of travels being narrowed after the incoming political conflicts between Astorea and Falderen, she couldn't help but take her time to explore the territories of Astorea a bit further, along with the towns that she had barely, if ever, met before. Of course, new towns and places meant new audiences and eyes. Not that she minded performing for the same group of people, but when it came to new ones, it allowed her to have an even greater repertoire to play with, considering that everything was news to them, for most of part, at least.

Through the day, and to the most varied patrons, Ruby performed in every way. Be it playing with her Liuqin, singing, or dancing, she tried to show her art, using her skills from real life that were only enhanced by a body that wielded supernatural abilities.

Her current dance, in particular, used of her harmonic magic to echo the sounds of her bells, coins and bracelets clanking on each other, creating a rhythm that brought life to the tavern, along with the illusions that danced across all of the room, reflecting battles and adventures that Ruby had witnesses or heard of, telling stories through music and dance.

His goal was to visit everywhere he could, and he would get there. He got his hands on any type of information he could and well he memorized it. Any little bit of information would do him good, information was the best source to have. Camus was good at many things, mostly using his silver tongue to get things he wished. He was great at storyteling, it was what made up a fake persona and helped him get away from having to indulge other things. A trait that he held both in game and from real life. Though didn't everyone somehow include something from themselves?

He had ended up in Redchron, who knew what he would find here. Would he end up making chaos somehow? A play toy perhaps? Sticking to a party could work and all, though sometimes waiting around was boring and he wanted to see all of this place that he could. So currently he was alone and had found himself going to a tavern. Music rang through it, much more festive already then a lot of places he had been lately. Typically it was idle chatter here or there, maybe he would witness some drunken moments-- but music oddly ever found him. Not that he hated music, it just never seemed to be around. No performances either. Perhaps he just always found the dull moments or came at the wrong time to catch them. Yet this one was all of them in one. A true performance.

Crimson eyes watched as the other worked the stage. Illusion magic used to make retelling of stories through music and dance. He couldn't take his eyes off of the little red .. what were they called... beasties? Oh well, it didn't matter really to him. More likely then not he would end up calling her other things -- even if he learned her name. It was a trait he had , nicknaming those he ended up tormenting. He took a drink from his mug. Now what was the best way to do this. People were clearly watching -- but the question was would they get in his way if he went towards her? Alright, he didn't care if they did or not. He finished his drink and headed towards the stage to catch the girl when her set ended.

He could not play any instruments and singing-- eh it wasn't his thing. Okay correction, he hadn't build Camus to be like that. He rather keep certain things hidden. Yet he would hum, it was the most he did honestly. It helped to clear out the little demon inside his head. "Nice show~" He had a smile on his lips. The words were honestly genuine oddly enough. Then again no one knew what he was truly thinking at all. He was unpredictable. "Care to sit and have a drink with me? Ya surely must be thirsty after that performance."

The illusions continued to sway in the room, and even if she was busy dancing and releasing her music with her body and the percussion instruments attached to her clothes, she could notice a more piercing gaze, one that went a bit beyond just a spectator.

Her ears twitched, and her eyes gave a brief glance at the man before she continued the finale of her dance, with the rhythm reacing one last crescendo, for a climax before an abrupt end, where the illusions suddenly faintened, falling as if life was reaped out of them... Which perhaps was part of the message of the story, that concluded in a not so happy ending.

There were a few applauses, and Ruby, after spending so much energy and dancing for so long in a hot weather like Redchron provided, was a bit breathless, with her chest heaving as she tried to recover.

The invitation, coming from the same man's which gaze caught her attention, made her ears twitch, taking approaching steps and nearing him, a bit sheepish, but she kept her composture. "Yes, dancing is a bit tiring." Her double-tails swayed with a faint smile, and she took a seat. "All the tables are full too, so... Thank you."

He couldn't imagine this type of life style, especially not for him. He was sure some would love to see him try to put on such an act, but he was a type of storyteller in his own right. He had a silver tongue, a silky way of saying things that could create stories. Though he could never do this type of performance art. The girl was good at what she did. It was rare that Camus actually would pay anyone too much attention-- unless he deemed them a target that was. Perhaps he could make this girl a toy of his. There were different type of toys-- all different purposes of course. She seemed a bit sheepish in how she acted-- almost like she might be afraid that he would bite her. The thought only made him want to chuckle, he held it back though.

"I can only imagine just how tiring it was. Shame I didn't get to see the full show, but what I did-- I truly enjoyed. Of course, of course." He waved down one of the girls going around and ordered them two ales. It was also very rare for him to purchase anything for anyone except himself , and that went for the people who of course was like his general party he ended up with a lot. He would sooner have people pay for him rather than the other way around. Not like he couldn't pay for himself, he just believed others should think of him as something to be cherished. He was higher than anyone around and people needed to know that. Yet he never straight up said these things out loud--- his actions and aura spoke for him -- typically.

A soft smile formed on his face as the ale finally was set in front of them. "Drink up." He took a drink of his own. "Sometimes the best drinks are with company. So I don't mind one bit the company. I couldn't imagine myself doing the art that you do. Must mean you're a special person to be able to do such." Camus so far hadn't shown anything bad about him, though one should never let their guard down around him. He tended to go from this to his normal Camus likeness in seconds. Was this girl going to be his next victim though? Or perhaps he was being genuine, perhaps she just caught his eye and he was truly wishing to just talk.

"I don't think I caught your name either. Mine's Camus." There was a hum in his head "Oh look at you. Aren't we just being sooo trusting. Giving your name without her begging for it. Actually paying. You're going soft." He didn't need to have the little demon inside of his head giving him any form of anything. He would just ignore it. He wasn't going soft. He was allowed to act however he pleased.

Ruby's ears twitched, with one lowering at the man's lamenting. Her double-tails swayed as he ordered some ale, and her gaze set on his soft smile, offering a smaller one of her own while taking the ale with both of her hands. "So you couldn't watch all of it..." Ruby muttered. "I don't doubt you enjoyed it, I could feel your eyes on me." She said. As one with Primal Aura, it wasn't hard for her to feel this kind of thing in a more palpable and instinctive way.

She took a sip of the ale, letting it burn her tongue and throat for a bit, letting out a sigh with her ears perked up energetically at the feeling, before lowering as her system warmed up to it. "It really is the best with a company. But I wouldn't say I'm a special person for being able to dance and sing, it was a lot of practice, and each person learns and is skilled at what they like to do." Ruby said, with her lips tugging in a smile when he had introduced himself.

"Ah, right! I only introduced myself at the start of the performance." She rested the mug on the table, offering her hands. "I'm Crimson Ruby. It is a pleasure to meet you, Camus." Ruby said, locking her eyes on his.

Her Primal Aura ran through her gaze, with her gratefulness for the kind words and warmth for the invitation touching his senses.

Ears slightly twitched as she muttered, most likely to herself rather than to him. Perhaps it was out of pity that he didn't get to enjoy the full show. Though , without a doubt, the next part was truly for him to hear. She could feel his eyes on her-- an interesting trait truly. Though he could only imagine that it came in handy. "Are we regretting what ya made yaself here?" He pushed that annoying little demon's voice out of his mind once more. It was best to let himself run the show rather than allow it to control the strings, so to speak. Right now he gave no ill intentions or anything, he was capable of actually being a civil person and not always like he acted with others. Would she be able to feel the slightest changes in him though? He had to actually test the theory.

Crimson eyes watched her as she took a sip of the ale, it seemed to be exactly what she wanted. "No I would disagree with that honestly. It takes a special person, you need to see yourself as more. You put in all the practice to be able to do such, and I can tell you do so out of the love for the art." Odd words for him to use. Oddly they sounded truly nice with no slyness in them whatsoever. Camus was one who could be quite dangerous if he ever really wanted to be. It was that silver tongue of his that could truly cause so much. Though he saw no real need to do anything against Ruby. He took her hand and actually softly lifted it up to his lips. A soft kiss upon the top of her hand.

"It is truly a pleasure to meet you as well, Ruby." No nickname left his lips, but surely enough that would come the longer he was with her. Who knew what might come of this meeting. Camus wasn't always an asshole to people, he had a special way about him-- but he was capable of behaving and not acting out against every person he met. If he did that, well he would make a lot of enemies. The person behind Camus actually was a kind soul, he just had a lot going on for him-- both in the original days of Terrasphere and especially now. He didn't need a place full of enemies. He slowly let go of her hand after the soft kiss.

"I do hope that I didn't overstep~" Yes, someone might think that he had been replaced if they saw how he acted now. It just showed he wasn't actually a terrible person , there was just more going on than anyone could ever realize. "I still would have to say I'm still trying to learn what it is that I'm truly skilled at. I know I could never do what you do." There was a snort inside his mind. "Please. I'm sure if ya wanted to twirl around and all like that-- it would be no doubt easy for ya, champ. Be it here ---where anything is possible. Or even back there. Wouldn't be the first time you performed." Oh he hated the tone to that voice. He took a nice long drink of the ale, he just wanted it to shut up. This wasn't the time nor the company to act up in.

Ruby's ears twitched at the man's disagreement, that came along with more compliments that made the crimson cat more confident, albeit still sheepish. "Thank you, that's really kind of you." She smiled a bit, with her hand still offered- However, what she didn't expect was that her intended handshake suddenly turned into a kiss on the back of her hand.

Her face colored at the gesture, with a faint giggle slipping her lips. "You didn't, it is fine." Ruby said, taking a hold of the kissed hand and swaying her tails. "A gentleman, aren't you?" She asked, then adding: "A handsome one at that." Ruby winked, even with the rosy colors of her cheeks.

Reaching for her ale, Ruby took it and had a sip, letting out a brief sigh at the scorching feeling running down her throat and perking an ear while another fell in confusion.

"I am sure you could. With enough practice... Your movements are elegant, and you do so making it look natural. I can only imagine if you give your all." Her tails swayed.

"If you think you haven't found a skill you are truly good at, what do you do then?" She wondered.

He could be a gentleman, he could have manners-- he just typically chose to keep that mask up for the world. The sly and a tad too proud one who was a sarcastic ass. Though one had to remember he had a way with his silver tongue. He knew how to charm others-- it was just another way that most might see as true and utter kindness. At least those who didn't know him and how he had acted prior. He did take note of the way her cheeks seemed to gain colour and the faintest giggle slipped from her parted lips. He did have to say it was an oddly nice little noise. He gave a small chuckle of his own "oh do you think?~" He half purred the words. "Are ya sure ya didn't choose the wrong type of character here. Think of what ya would like with ears and a tail~"

Now the little demon was just trying to taunt him. Though he refused to let it do such, he would just have fun and actually try to enjoy company who didn't try to verbally spar with him. Yes, he enjoyed that--- but this was oddly nice to. A bold little kitten was Ruby. Yes, he was already compiling a list of possible little nicknames for her. After all she was a crimson cat-- some names were gonna be hard to ignore the chance to use. Would he do it in a mean or sarcastic way? He had no reason to-- some people just got different interactions out of him. He took note of the newest expression from her. She seemed confused perhaps.

"See even the kitten believes. Though she doesn't even know just how well ya could prefer." He easily hid the annoyance of the little demon by a slight bitting of his lip. It was a small trait he had picked up in the real world, some might even say it came about when someone was nervous or thinking. Though what was it when Camus did such? He didn't chew upon his lip, just a simple small bite. It was such a small movement. In this case, well he was doing so to stop himself from saying something out loud that wasn't directed at Ruby , but to the little demon. When he had no problem seemingly talking to himself , or rather known as musing to himself-- he didn't think it would go as well in such a place and in company. The other might become even more confused if he spoke like such-- as she was the only one there with him. No one else could see nor hear the little demon in his head-- only he could.

"You are kind, Ruby. Truly kind in such words. I sometimes believe it comes from partly from my race. I might not be as elegant should I have chosen a different one. Or perhaps I could have been more so. Who knows truly~ Though I suppose it could have something to do with me taking some of the masteries that I did. My primarily decent skill I have is swordfighting. Truly nothing of a performance like yours. I do not sing nor can I play an instrument. I believe the term most might refer to me as is hmm.." he paused as he actually thought. "Brash.. one who always goes into action, hot headed-- a fighter not a performer in such ways." Oddly enough he wasn't using some fake persona with skills that he couldn't do.

His silver tongue he typically used to manipulate and spin stores of his own. Were sometimes the lies not as beliable to others? Probably only the ones who had spent the longest time with him and were able to see through his bull shittery. He sometimes got called out on it, and sometimes the games continued for too long-- much like a drawn out chess match. Yet sometimes he was able to fool others just fine, he was his own type of storyteller. Yet, he wasn't doing so here with Ruby. "Though, honestly-- I'm sure if I could consider that a skill in such senses. I know it sounds weird. Doesn't it?" He slightly chuckled and finished his ale. He made sure to flag the waitress over. "Want another?" He asked her?

Ruby nodded, "Of course I do." She reassured, twitching her ears while looking at the man that sometimes seemed to make brief expressions she couldn't quite understand. And for not quite understanding it, she decided to simply finish her drink and resting her mug on the table after letting out a sigh.

"So you are a swordman, huh? I'm a blade dancer, so we have some similarities." Ruby said, rubbing her chin. "I suppose your art is the art of fighting then." She hummed, considering as she was offered another ale, which made her perk up.

"Of course, just make sure you aren't going too far." Ruby winked, looking at the incoming ale and then peering at the man with a bit of curiosity. "Being brash is a talent, you need to know when to take risks and when to go all out." She said, pausing and then resting her arms on the table.

"Say..."
Her double-tails swayed, leaning in. "You probably didn't just invite me to talk, did you?" Ruby traced her finger on the edge of her mug, tilting her head while locking her gaze on him. "Did you want something from me..? Or with me?" She wondered.

"A blade dancer, hmm. That we do seem to have some similarities than." He shrugged slightly "I suppose you could say it is then." Though was it exactly something he was truly good at? He wasn't an idiot, he knew when it comes to constructing a character-- most might take masteries that worked together. Though he was a little bit of an odd case. Though Ruby's words did strike a note within him a way. The art of fighting. One could fight in plenty of ways. Just like some might take the art of performing, in Ruby's case, or even the art of helping. Though that last one he could never see himself ever doing. Not like this. He couldn't see himself as support , not really. In the real, maybe he would be more support -- well he might have before. Though things have changed and Terrasphere allowed one to make their character into however they wished.

He chuckled "alright alright" she winked again at him and he went about flagging down the waitress for another two ales. He listened to her, her words seemed to have a lead to something bigger into them. Crimson eyes took as she went to pause and rested her arms on the table. Oh the little brave kitty cat here. He couldn't help but have such a smile as their eyes met. "Oh my you truly are a bold one. Coming right out and asking~ Though I do enjoy the straight approach-- it is refreshing sometimes." The waitress came back with new fresh mugs for them and quickly was back to serving other tables.

"Can't someone be enchanted by someone and wish to strike conversation and wish for even companionship without thinking of bolder things. Though should I have those bold thoughts~ What would you think of such? Hmm." He couldn't help but shift a little closer himself to her , slowly going to slowly stroke under her chin with a single finger. "Would I be too bold or just bold enough?" His words were like liquid honey , so sweet-- but not in a slimy sense. He was truly a charmer when he wished to be. He slowly went to retract his hand and went to take a sip of his ale.

"Besides I truly was enchanted by your performance, I did simply wish the need to speak to you. What comes out of this-- hmm would be more on time." His real life self would never be like this, only in came was he able to be so much of a dick and yet still so utterly smooth at the same time. He was smooth in his own way, but he was shy in the real world. He could never be so blunt and feed compliments like this. Though good thing they weren't in the real world. He wouldn't actually mind companionship with her. She did after all say the right words to him-- which only won in her favour.

Ruby's smirk widened when Camus commented her boldness, though she couldn't take it with as much pride as she wanted, considering her boldness was only existant in one on one interactions. "Time is too precious for formalities, Camus." She giggled, watching him approaching, and leaning in with a faint purr when a stroke under her chin teased her.

When questioned, her double-tails swayed, looking up at him. "With enough confidence, you are always as bold as you need to be." Ruby said, humming and scooting closer when the finger was drawn out.

"I see, so it is all thanks to it..." Her eyes trailed around, trying to build up some courage before adding: "Maybe I could make a performance just to you, if you ever want to." Ruby said, tilting her head.

"That would compensate how much you have missed for coming late, which now that I know you did, I can't help but feel a little upset." A feigned ear drop made her look a bit melodramatic as she hid her mouth with a lingering sip of her ale mug, averting her face and waving her tail.

Oh time was too precious for formalities. Alright, he wouldn't say she was wrong in her words at all. That faint purr when he stroked under her chin-- he couldn't help but enjoy the sound. It wouldn't be a sound he would be opposed to hearing more of. Oh her words only seemed to grow bolder, though he could tell that perhaps she was needing to pick up said courage somehow. He smiled at her words. "I suppose you have a point. One is always as bold as needed to be, as long as confidence is involved."

She was rather cute, company he wouldn't mind having. "I would love if you could perform just for me. I would hate to make you continue to feel upset over it. I would follow you where ever you believe would be the ideal stage for your performance. All of course after we finish our drink." He took another sip of his own mug. Seemed like they both might have quite a dramatic side to them. Though when his made people think of him as an ass--hers was something cute. She could use that cuteness as a weapon in fact.

Come to think of it, Ruby had some assets that could be beneficial for him as well. Besides she wasn't hard on the eyes and thus any companionship with her , any journey with her-- it would be quite a beneficial one for all. In fact, he might even be able to help her somehow. What was that saying, something about scratching someone's back or something. He couldn't think of it at the moment. "I do not mind spending time with you , even outside of this drink. If I am not being so bold as to state."

If anyone ever truly took the time to analyze how he spoke, one might find out a great deal about him. Camus wasn't always an ass, just certain people seemed to bring it out of him. Ruby, well she seemed to only bring out the honey. Though the why--- that might be the dangerous part of it all. He took another sip of ale. Those crimson eyes of her looking over her. "I would be at your mercy should we switch locations. Though I would not mind. Something tells me you know more of this area than I. After all, I came by pure chance and wish for adventure and exploring. It is my goal, you see."

Ruby shrugged. "You can choose my stage, Camus." She said, with her eyes wandering on his, and a small smirk crossing her lips. "You choose the stage. I choose the dance." It sounded fair to her, as far as she knew. She once again hid her lips behind her mug, only parting when he admitted he wouldn't mind spending time with her.

"You aren't being so bold." Ruby said, twitching her ears and resting her head on her hand.

"At my mercy, huh..." Ruby giggled. "You are making me sound a bit evil like that. I promise I don't bite or scratch... at least, not to hurt." She said, with the smirk on her lips only widening as he revealed the intentions he had in this town.

"I'm an explorer myself." Ruby said, tugging the violet whistle out of her dress, allowing it to dangle on her neck, exposed.

"And I must say, there are very few things that are as satisfying as seeing what no one else has ever seen."

He could choose the stage for her, and she would choose the dance. Now that could be dangerous. No , what was dangerous were her words. He couldn't help a smirk of his own. "Oh , I wouldn't say you sound evil, per say. Though hearing you say something like that. Now that sounds kinky." He couldn't help himself, he spoke what he thought in this case. When it came to biting and scratching, it didn't remind him of animal like instincts -- beastie and all. No, to him it sounded like a damn good time. "And here we are once more thinking-- maybe you chose the wrong race." There was that damn little demon again. Okay, so maybe he did choose the wrong race. Though it wasn't like he was going to think of redoing things.

Those crimson eyes watched as she tugged a violet whistle out and allowed it to dangle exposed on her neck. "I do believe such myself, actually. There is something about that feeling when you are exploring. The need and want to go further and see just what is there." He couldn't help himself "I have heard talk of whistles around, but not truly what they are for. You stated you were explorer, what does the whistle mean." When it was true, he would probably be interested in whatever dealt with exploring-- he himself held no whistle.

"As for the stage, I suppose it will be time for us to look for the ideal stage for such a dance. Perhaps by traveling together, per chance. Anything that might strike your fancy. I would love to keep your company." He smiled before taking another drink. Who knew what type of adventure they would find themselves having.

Ruby simply smiled with lips parted, allowing her fangs to shimmer with the light's reflection on it as a response to Camus statement. "I am glad, because I'm not evil. I'm a kind one, I promise." She said, even adjusting her posture on her chair as an emphasis, as if she suddenly was very well behaved despite everything she had done and said so far.

When Camus continued to speak about exploring and his feelings for it made her smug and teasing expressions soften into something more dreamy.

A gentle sigh slipped her lips, and a hand rested on her chest, above her whistle.

"It truly is. To uncover the secrets of the world. To see what no one has ever seen. To know the unknown." She spoke, fondly.

"These whistle are what represents the rank of an explorer from the Explorers League. The more you go for expeditions, you will be allowed to craft newer whistles to reflect your experience." Ruby explained.

"Every whistle makes the vow of death, where we vow to never fear it, but to face it. To acknowledge as a possibility, and maybe even a certainty." Her gaze turned to Camus', locking on his eyes. "It is fairly dangerous, after all. To unfold the unknown." Ruby then hummed, releasing her grasp from her chest and whistle.

"A company to fare that would be great. But you need to be aware of the dangers, Camus." She said, with a slightly concerned expression.

The way her fangs seemed to shimmer in the light at his statement-- it seemed almost as if she was a mischievous little feline-- her words stating that she was a kind one. He couldn't stop the small snort from leaving him. She was pretending to suddenly be very well behaved. She wasn't fooling him, but hey it made this even better for him. As he continued to speak of exploring, her smug and teasing expression soften and was more dreamy. It seemed he had found the way into her heart, per say. It seemed the whistle was important, as it hung over her heart. So he listened.

Crimson eyes watched her as she spoke fondly over things. The unknown, he couldn't help but want to see it as well, She might just be an interesting companion to have with him. She could help him see all this world had to offer. It would truly make this world even more interesting. The thought of exploring more lands and making a mental mapping in his head. Sure he could use the UI-- but being the way he was, he would much rather explore and make his own mental notes on each place he happened to visit. He doubted the UI could do such things. The more she spoke, the more his crimson eyes actually seemed to twinkle. The thought of going to new places and this vow of death.

"Sometimes the most dangerous is the most benefical. I'm aware of dangers plenty~ I'm more than willing to explore these unknown. Hey, Ruby-- this Explore's League. How does one even join it and gain one of these whistles? I wouldn't mind getting involved in it. I'll be more than happy to make some vow of death."

He couldn't help but be excited about what lay in the unknown. It was something that only made him want to embrace it more. Danger meant nothing to him-- this world was thrilling after all. Even more so than perhaps it had been last time he had set foot here. It made him want to see more. No. He needed to see more, to embrace more. He went to take another drink from his ale. He smiled at her.

"I'm not afraid of death, dangers nor the unknown. So allow me to accompany you~"

Her ears perked up at the interest of the man, with a grin showing on her lips as she responded with swaying, perky tails. "To join it is very easy...
