Days if not week after the event of Red Fever, the Astorean government is enlisting help to get Camp Nisus operational again now that the threat is gone. There's a lot of work to do, but as they always say: "teamwork makes the dreamwork."
If this is your first time participating in a Story Quest, it is essentially a way to build on the official story content.
Anyone is welcome to tackle this content even if they have never participated in the story event!

Pick a quest that interests you from the list below and form a team to tackle it. You may use the quest as a prompt for your roleplay, or use the optional mechanics attached to a few of the quests. If you're looking for an extra oomph, you can head over to the Spice My Thread service and request for a DM's touch or some extra mechanics to wrestle with.
When the quest wraps up, Camp Nisus will become available as a point-of-interest in the Wiki!
Important
At the time of this post, two quests are available. A bounty list will be up in the next couple of days for the more combat-oriented among you.
Each character can tackle a max of two story quests
When your thread is done, you may post in this thread with a brief summary of your thread and jot down any mechanical result that came about from the thread.
The source of the Red Fever may have been vanquished, but its emotional damage still remains for some. It is not always easy to let bygones be bygones or to forgive a knife to the throat from someone you once trusted. This can't stand if Astorea and its four factions are to remain a strong and unified force.
As such, the MIT council members and the Lions have reached out to those with the skills to council and restore the bonds that are in disarray so they may be able to move on from the emotional turmoil they had suffered.
It is imperative that faction members remain unified and do not hold any grudges after this traumatic event.
You and a few others are now in charge of guiding the fever-afflicted victims toward the path of reconciliation with others. Good luck!
Party Size: 2-4 Completion: Minimum 3 posts per person
Objectives
Figure out what beef people have with one another and try to resolve it
Help them make up
Optional Mechanics: You may use this mechanics or ignore it and use the quest as a roleplay prompt!
Each person has 2 attempts at patching things up
Make an Expertise Check (Any) on cycle 2 (or later if you have a longer lead up) to set yourself up for success. How the expertise is used to fulfill the objective is up to you!
If you don't like your result, you may push your luck and try again on a later cycle. However, you must stick with the second result. If you are content with your roll the first time, you may help one other party member narratively to give them an advantage on their attempt.
Results
Fail (0-29 / -1) You somehow made the situation worse...
Partial Success (30-49 / +0) The people you are helping agree to shake hands, but it feels as though there are still some deep-seated feelings or things left to be said. It's not the worst.
Success (50-99 / +1) You managed to help people patch up.
Great Success (100-150 / +2) The people you are helping to reconcile.
End Score
2P: min +1 to succeed, +3 to overachieve your goal
3P: min +2 to succeed, +4 to overachieve your goal
4P: min +3 to succeed, +5 to overachieve your goal
Camp Nisus was already in disarray before the expedition's arrival. After the apes' assault, the camp became even more wrecked. As the majority of the expedition were preparing to depart, a message came from the Astorean capital, enlisting your help to get the outpost operational again. It could use some major repair and improvement.
The camp itself is built next to a tall hill with wooden wall encircling the interior. Within the walls, the camp is split into a tented area where each tent is pitched on top of a platform held up by stilts to deal with flood. Most of it was broken by the time the dangers passed.
Near the center of the enclosed area is the massive mushroom, which had been converted into the MIT's workspace. The inside of the mushroom house is a complete mess from the rushed R&D of the Serenity Mist. The mushroom's exterior also seems to be rotting from the lack of maintenance.

Although the threat of the Red Fever is gone, there are still great dangers that lurk beyond the walls of Camp Nisus. Ensuring the safety of those who are working to rebuild it is essential, and the demands of new clients are pilling up rather quickly.
[The Adventurers Guild] has pinned a number of bounties to the bulletin board at the entrance of the camp. Anyone is free to grab a bounty sheet for themselves and head into the wilds to earn their coin.
My babies! Congratulations on a job well done. I understand that some of you must be going through a tough time right now, and for that, I am sorry. It's my belief, my babies, that we should've been better prepared.
Both me and my babycat are grateful for being saved by you. Thank you.
In any case, the bounties have been issued and it looks like there are a bunch of babymonsters everywhere. That's where we're coming in. Times are tough, but even so, we've gotta earn our coins. You know what to do.

(✦) Jade Jaguars
The [Explorer's League] has reported that these territorial [elementals] have moved back into their territory around the lost city now that the fever bugs are gone. These apex predators are ambush hunters with an empty stomach, so take care not to become their bounty.
More importantly, their unique jade body parts can fetch a hefty price because it is in high demand in the high-fashion market currently.

(✦✦) Myconid Caval
Just as the rebuild was in progress, with supplies and personnel were being delivered, the Myconid Kingdom sent their regards. The [Lions] patrolling the camp's perimeter have noticed Myconids activity shimmering not far from camp.
This bounty should prevent those [funguys] from getting the way of the building efforts. What's not fun is the fact that some of them have mutated and grew eyes on their body. The MIT is looking to acquire some of these creatures, dead or alive. Twice the fun, twice the guys!

Spore Cloud. After attacking this enemy, make an Expertise Check (Fitness or Knack - 45) to physically build some distance between your team and the Caval to avoid the myconid dispersing a cloud of spores upon being hit, which will hinder your team. The person posting after a failed spore cloud check takes an extra 15 damage and reduce their main action roll result by 15 (both of which are before modifiers).

The person posting after a failed spore cloud check takes an extra 30 damage and reduce their main action roll result by 30 (both of which are before modifiers).
(✦✦✦) Slimodiles
The [Magical Institute of Theory] has noted that remnants of old stone-like magitech are scattered all throughout the slime swamp. Strangely enough, the swamp can be seen slowly receding into a gigantic chasm. Regardless of the dangers, they are highly interested in researching the ancient technology.
There's a catch for the researchers, however. With the slime drying out, massive creatures known as [Slimodiles] have awakened from their slumber, snapping their huge jaws at anything in sight. It's unlikely they are part of the natural fauna so put an end to them and get the magitech remnants.

Gore Twister. After attacking this enemy, make a Save (Reflex - 60) to avoid getting a limb or two snapped up by the Slimodile, which will try to spin to twist your limbs out of their socket. If you fail, you can consider yourself narratively held by this enemy. Take 70 damage (before modifier) instead of 40 the next time you attack and the DC increases to 90 (it's just so much more difficult to hit them when they have taken ahold of you).

If you fail, you can consider yourself narratively held by this enemy. Wrangling Up Some FunnyGuys Bounty: Elite Myconid Caval
A ragtag party of players reaches Camp Nisus after a very uncomfortable wagon ride, having been recruited by the Lion Arms Pride to check out the unusual activity of some funguys lingering too close to camp for comfort. They stumble upon a stronger than usual variety, but to their surprise—and thanks to their amazing support imouto—they manage to clear the cluster out in record time before any real casualties could ensue. Out of the creatures two are selected—a deceased heavy variant along with a live and very tightly wound sage fungus with a big eye in its chest—and are delivered to the MIT group for further analyzing and needle poking.
Surely nothing bad will come from fungusnapping live specimen from the clusters and prodding them in the name of science... ne?
. . "Uuugh, we need better traveling options to reach this place... or at least better padding inside those wagons." There was a groan from the Lepus as she stepped out of the wagon, before her attention turned back to her companions for the trip. A hand was extended towards the smaller...
Let Champignons be Bygones Bounty: Myconid Caval + Elite Myconid Caval
A party sets out to seek out the myconids lurking beyond the borders of Camp Nisus and handily knocks out the one they find. However, what seems to be an easy fight quickly escalates as the Caval grows back stronger than ever. Its poisonous spores and powerful attacks drive the group to the brink, but determination, strategy, and the timely arrival of an additional fighter leads to the party's ultimate victory. The "fruiting" Caval falls, seemingly dead for real this time.
One can only guess what the MIT will do with this information...
215 Protected! -25 12 hp due to Retal (reduced by 10 by Countering!) Somewhere in the depths of the jungle... Ugh. You can definitely tell those myconids were here. This place reeks. Ash covered his mouth and nose with a grimace. There were plenty of unpleasant smells in the jungle, ones that...
All The Tenderness of a Seasick Slimeodile Bounty: Mega Slimeodile
Zelrius finds the quest and struggles to put together a party until he does some searching. An excited Toko, willing Kyra, and Reluctant but worried Moonsong form up into a four man party and discuss their experience during the Kurungaar mother while sneaking up to the home of the Mega Slimeodile. After a four-way sneak attack, the party finds itself gravely injured, and Kyra is grabbed and Gore Twistered by the creature. Through perseverance, luck, and an extreme amount of teamwork, the four manage to bring down the creature. While Moonsong had played it safe and smart, Toko and Zelrius hadn't and were mortally wounded. The latter of the two being healed by Kyra, using what was left of her own energy to do it through spirit magic. After chopping the creature up, and an uneventful walk back to camp in which the foxgirl was rejuvenated by the prepared Moonsong, the party split ways with their loot. Toko taking Kyra to the medical tent, and Zelrius and Moonsong taking a moment to catch up after the day's events. The way is now clear for MIT to gather the artifacts in the surrounding area.
The Red Weeding: Hear Me Spore Bounty: Myconid Caval
After failing to survive the events of Red Fever as a trio, Team ACK! (Ayna/Chrys/Kamala) finally got around to doing something with just the three of them, and it involved the Myconid Caval bounty. Although clearly much stronger now than they were before, taking down their bounty with relative ease due to some pretty decent teamwork, they all settled with the comforting idea that they seemed to be getting back to their feet after the Death of Kamala Graham not just as a party of adventurers but as a group of friends.

ZELRIUS'S TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY
Jade Jaguars
An interesting encounter leads to a group of extraordinary individuals making their way beyond the relative safety of the camp, determined to make themselves useful and clear away some of the jaguars that have begun to harass the locals. Through folly, good companionship, and general good-natured fun, they managed to not only make a bond of friendship to last forever, but also ensure that their specific hunt won't ever be a problem again.
Violence is sudden and swift within the shade of the Tangleweave's jungles. When faced with immediate danger, all people may do is brace themselves and react.
In which an ambush is laid against THE GUY, who in turn receives timely reinforcements.
THE GUY 215 In danger, needs reinforcements! Joseph descended into the depths of the Tangleweaves. He took a route that he had oft taken in the past, having come here before to cool off his head in a familiar environment. He was entering the depths with purpose this time, however-new monsters...
THE GUY's journey further into the forest takes him to the hunt he had been seeking to undertake. He had come across three others on his way, but it was of no matter. By Duuhm's will, this great hunt shall be undertaken, and the beast taken under.
The sun began to rise upon the swampside. THE GUY's hunt against the Jade Jaguars had come and gone, and now he was left to continue his search for the great prey. Notably, he'd found others along the trail of his journey- @Toko , who he knew, and others whom he did not. A quick and simple...
Through the coordinated efforts of four girls, and under Cidney's careful guidance, the quartet manage to tackle various necessary tasks and jobs required to to restore Camp Nisus' mushroom house and its surrounding areas to their former glory.
For the first time in just about ever, Cidney had gone and taken a job in Terrasphere that reflected her own work out of the game. She had no shame in that-experience was something to apply where one could apply it for the better. The setup had looked... frankly, it looked as daunting as any...
