Valeria Marie López Morelli

Her ears had tuned out for most of the LoL and DOTA discussion, not being a fan of MOBA titles herself, though they had no issue picking up Nico being a lil’ shit as usual. A dramatic roll of her eyes was given before she turned towards the pinkette.

"Look, I’m just looking out for a friend." She winked at the older woman, impish smirk on full display as she continued. "But if you wanna sound like an idiot speaking like that don’t let me top ya girl."

A quick wave was given before the blonde finally stepped out to pick up their food and, fortunate for Nico at least, was unable to hear the pinkette’s verbal jab attempt—being mindful enough to close the recording room’s door when she left.

Moments passed before the blonde finally returned, the vivid example of “we do this in one trip” as she balanced the cup holder with their drinks on her left hand while her right forearm had been looped through the handles of the plastic bag containing their food. It left her right hand free to unlock the door and let herself in on her return, well aware that neither woman would hear her inside the recording room.

"There, should be fixed....? Maybe?"
"Already…? Damn, that was fast."

The tray of drinks was placed to one side of the available table, three of them identical with an unexpected 4th companion. "Wanted to see if it was homemade or store bought." She explained before Nico had a chance to question it. The two-inch piece of lemongrass she could spy floating among the ice hinted that it was the later, and Valeria couldn’t wait to try it out… but first, food.

"Alright, two orders of skewers here." Those had been simple enough to find inside the bag, layed out for the others to start digging in as Valeria continued to identify the other containers inside. "And these are probably your pekpek things…?"

The to-go box was handed over towards her unnie before Valeria dug out a few plastic containers of varying sizes. "And these are all part of that curry you ordered, Nico." The largest one contained all tha various toppings and protein from the melayu, with a medium sized one contained a healthy dose of steamed rice, and the last slightly smaller one a looot of curry sauce.

"And this one’s mine~" The last large bowl was placed in her lap as Valeria sat down, her borneo packed all together after everything had been cooked and combined inside a hot wok.

"Oh yeah, that flows a lot better now Dee~" She listened to the revised version when Dayeon played it, her head nodding along now that the unexpected clash between the violin and the idol’s voice had been removed. "Y’know... the style reminds me of FLASH/PYRO a bit now that I think about it."

As the blonde waved her way out, Nico replied over with a middle finger, biting down her comebacks, least her stomach protests a little louder than earlier about it.

"No?! I stopped watching after Season 2 had a lot of filler episodes with the eating-at-school thing. Focused more on streaming than watching stuff and It kinda just poofed outta my mind." A regular occurrence for her hobbies, not worth more than a shrug out of the pinkette, "Katya's always been the big brain slime so I guess it checks out, I can't play that game either." DOTA was an entirely different beast to league with what felt like the most vertical learning curve out of all MOBAs in the market.

It wasn't long that their waitress came back, more like a clown at this point with all the juggling she's doing with their meals, prompting the pinkette to quickly close the distance just in case an accident were to happen the likes of final destination movies.

She finally breathes in the moment Val sets down the cups on the table, piercing eyes set over Dayeon once the idol dropped a mention worth fanning the fires of her passion "Don't even mention these fuckboys. Fuck 'em." Finger wagged firmly so in her direction, "Even if you start doing some Beethoven vibe I'll still pick you over PYRO. They are a buncha' fangirl bait and nothing more."

The only thing holding back her ranting was her inability to multi-task while doing so, taking a seat as soon as her steamed rice was set down along all the rest of the containers which, quite frankly, eluded her understanding entirely.

"Talking about these guys is making me hungry. Didn't think Val here would know about 'em though," A lack of surprise in her voice, absent-minded being the right word as Nico only had food plastered over her thoughts, turning coherency into mush, "...You know what, at least these other dudes can sing it live. You know the ones I'm talking about, right?" She paused to lick one finger clean from the curry, interlocking her fingers together as she stretches her arms forward,

"The 'Alo, alo'-" Her arms then move over her head, holding the same pose on a half-accurate portrayal, at least until she has to do the rest of the choreography which, even for her standards, felt more like doing gang signs with her whole body. "Being able to actually sing and not do playback is one of the things I like about SLIME GIRLS, y'know? It takes skill to dance, sure, but to dance and sing without missing the tune? That's impressive."

"The school stuff's great, I actually get to experience high school for the first time." She shrugged at Nico. It was not long before Val came back hauling an amount of food and drink almost impossible to carry in one go, but she did it.

The idol helped to set those on the table before taking the plastic container containing her food. "Yeah, the pempek. Let's see if it tastes anything like I had over there." Spotting the mysterious 4th drink on the other side of the table, Dayeon went for a sip before raising her brows at the blonde. "Wait... This is just Lipton."

"Y’know... the style reminds me of FLASH/PYRO a bit now that I think about it."

"The EDM beats? Yeah, it has that gen 2-ish feeling to it like their usual songs." She nodded while pouring the warm spicy-sweet-sour sauce/stock into her assortment of deep-fried fish cakes and noodles.

"Didn't think Val here would know about 'em though,"

"At this point, who doesn't? They're like the number one group since last year."

The idol caught Nico's criticism as she brought up another boy group that the pinkette actually liked. She wagged her finger at her as the Italian was trying to replicate a choreography that ended up looking like something out of a rap music MV.

"Oh no no no, give them some credit. They worked really hard to deserve that title. Shame I never got to meet them though, 'cause they debuted after we disbanded. Would really like to see the vocal monster and the dance machine."

Dayeon lowered her head and joined her hands together for a silent, short prayer. Grabbing the utensils, she then turned toward the other two and nodded.

"Let's eat."

She clocked the concerned look from Nico a mile away, and it doesn’t go unnoticed how the pinkeye doesn’t lift a single finger to help despite watching her—or rather the food—like a hawk. "Chill, this ain’t my first rodeo." Hard to argue with the results, all the food was present and accounted for, with zero spills or accidents.

Val had been eyeing the skewers since before she sat down, though the blonde had the decency to let her unnie do the usual silent prayer before reaching for one. "Damn, why all the hate?" The pinkette’s immediate reaction to the boy band is unexpected, earning a raised eyebrow before her gaze shifted towards Dee.

Was there some K-pop drama she’d missed out on lately?

"Look, I don’t know all of them by heart like someone here, but I still know a few okay?" She pointed the skewer at Nico accusingly, a piece of it already gone. "Spotify does a good job of trickling them into my playlists, and I do have a direct line to the source."

Don’t ask Val to name bands or singers, she’d always been terrible at it, but the blonde could recognize a wide enough variety of K-pop songs whenever they played “out in the wild” inside stores and whatnot.

Her unnie was the first one to brave trying the mystery fourth drink, and her reaction had Val reaching for it soon after to confirm. "There’s something else too…" A grassy undertone with a spicy tinge of fresh ginger, though it was hard to properly appreciate it against all the sugary tea.

"Yeah, I think they tried to ‘water it down’—maybe too many people complained about the taste before?" After all, when it came to food and spices, there was an ocean’s worth of jokes when the English and Americans were concerned. "Bit of a bummer, would’ve liked to taste the homemade batch before they mixed them."

Still, she could understand why; better for the restaurant to keep a familiar taste and avoid one star reviews and drama on their business page.

Nico’s attempt to imitate SEVENTEEN’s choreography earned a chuckle from the blonde, though she had to give Nico a point where it was due."Yeah, people underestimate the effort it takes to sing and dance at the same time." Add to that a live stage with props and a million things that could go wrong if you were unlucky?

"You sure picked a hell of a career, Dee~"

"You didn't miss much believe me, highschool's worse than the damn game. I'm sure Val can back me up on that one." She waved off towards the blonde before setting her hand down on the table as she continues, "By the way I don't hate em, I just feel like throwing up when I hear about 'em. They are just the next popular thing and that's about it, dunno why all the fuss for a bunch of farts." It wasn't manners but the inability to spill hate and eat at the same time what spared both the embarassment, as Nico took turns to do one and the other.

Her hand went forth to give a light smack at the skewer Val pointed on her direction, "Excuse you, they just didn't sound like the kind of music you would listen to. I kinda imagined like..." She paused, gaze flickered between both of them as she leaned back on her seat, "Like full of spanish lyrics!" Her voice took a leap just then, choice of words shifted in a split of a second, buried beneath a cough and a half-smirk.

"You are right though, at this point everyone knows 'em." Husky tone tagging through her words, her discontent over Dayeon being right all the more evident, "But they ain't getting shit from me, I ain't betraying the slime for some cheap generic group even AI could come up with." She rolled her eyes, attention caught the moment their idol decided to pull some type of prayer, "Yeah let's E-A-T-A-S-A-P."

Almost almost enough to make her curiosity spark, yet table manners were probably something even a highschool-less idol would know about. Unfortunately, not enough to keep her hands off her curry to do the same.

A few munches later had Nico lift a hand and snap her fingers, hasty to chug it down and call both of their attention, but not enough so to speak with her mouth full. "Val's got a good point-" Index and thumb over her lips, doing her best to keep the curry in her mouth and out of their view, "Why did you pick this of all things? I got forced into it, Val probably enjoys the bonjourno thing so it makes sense why she does it." Mockery being the comedy relief before slapping the question onto the table.

"But what's YOUR reason? the real reason."
Not the interviews, not the 'camera flashing in my face' answer, no- She let her voice acknowledge that much.

"Don't dismiss them easily. People said that too about Slime Girls five years ago." She went to just agree to disagree, while reminiscing about the old days when people thought that no way a K-pop group filled with international members was going to be the storm that was approaching the music world.

"Like full of spanish lyrics!"

As they started to just try and enjoy their food, the conversation turned into more of a light, playful banter. "That's kinda... racist?" She turned to Valeria, raising her brows with a chuckle of uncertainty. "Is it?"

"Yeah, I think they tried to ‘water it down’—maybe too many people complained about the taste before?"

"Well, it's wedang. It is supposed to kick you with the spices." The idol kinda remembered that the drink was a 'what if you drink spices', which would give the English some allergies. "We once went to this hawker stall after we landed in Indonesia to try some of those hot drinks because it was cold at midnight."

As soon as Nico tried to spell the letters like it was part of a song, Dayeon did nothing and completely ignored it because she was feeling all the secondhand embarrassment deep into her bones, and instead just enjoyed the pempek and the skewer. "Mm, the peanut sauce is flavorful. Their fishcake is pretty nice, too. Is the curry good?" She wished the gravy-sauce-soup thingy were a bit more spicy, though.

"But what's YOUR reason? the real reason."

"Didn't you watch Girls Derby Infinite? They turned me into the main focus of episode 4."
She moved her attention to the pinkette again. For someone who kept insisting that she was a big fan, Nico seemed to skip through the important lore: the survival show that started it all. "That one bit about dropping out of middle school to work part-time in restaurants, stadiums, and cafes just to save some pennies? That wasn't a sob storyline invented on the spot. Jumping into this industry was a gamble."

The short-haired idol was sipping her milk tea as the background music shifted into a mellow one. After a few seconds, she realized something and stood up to walk to the computer.

"Wait, no, this one is for the k-drama, not a sample."

"Oh, absolutely." She was quick to back up the pinkette on that statement. "High school is sooo overrated."

It wasn’t long before their conversation shifted away from one topic to another, and this time Val chimed in to back up her unnie. "Being the next popular thing isn’t a bad thing on its own tho, if anything it’s an advantage for groups when it comes to developing… if their label doesn’t fuck them over, that is." A story that happened too often, to the detriment of the industry and the talented people involved with it.

"Wha—how is liking their music betraying the Slime Girls?" A blonde eyebrow rose questioningly, her gaze shifting away from Nico and towards her unnie as if trying to confirm she wasn’t the crazy one here. "You can like both... they’re not a mutually exclusive thing, Nico."

An offended look crossed her face as Nico revealed the type of music the pinkette thought Val enjoyed, before nodding in agreement as Dayeon turned towards her. "Extremely so, that’s like me saying it’s weird Nico doesn’t say mamma mia whenever she’s caught off-guard." A light frown came over her as she listened to Dee’s reasoning for the different taste profile in this tea, upset to be robbed of a culinary tasting opportunity just ‘cause a portion of the demographic here couldn’t handle it.

"Maybe one day I’ll get to try the real thing then."

She almost choked on her tea as the pinkette actually agreed with her on something, before her eyes rolled over at the bonjourno part. "Boudoir Nico… Buongiorno is ‘good morning’ in Italian." A light chuckle escaped her as Nico asked her question next, though she kept herself from saying anything until after the idol answered.

"Man, it’s been a while since I’ve heard the name of that show." She’d happened to come across it as the second episode aired and, for a while, it had remained in her rotation. "What season are they up to now, or have they gotten replaced by something else?"

Her body had started to sway softly as the next sample drifted in, the mellow tones calm and soothing. She’d been about to ask more about it when Dee suddenly stood up, the idol quickly walking to her computer as she dropped a lore bomb that even Val wasn’t aware of.

"I’m sorry, did you just say k-drama...?" An unspoken question lingered in the air, was her unnie in charge of the music components… or would she be starring in it as well?

"Racist? Come on it just... You know what I mean. It ain't racist! It's just that Val looks like the kinda gal to listen to despacito more than anything else y'know?" Matter-of-factly, a hand lifted in promise, "Not racist. Just culturally aware." A newfound excuse worth a smile out of her.

Nico put her fork down, giving a sideglance to Dayeon then back at Val as the blonde's lack of loyalty hit through, her expression turning a little sour, then pouty, a hand scratching away at her temples as she tried to rake an answer that could put these feelings into words.

"You wouldn't get it. I do like other kpop artists, but these new kiddos feel like just random brainrot that will pass in a few weeks - It's just cheap! Just a quick spark of gasolina on their candles, they ain't gonna survive the test of time." A pinch of pride coating her words, feeling justified just by hearing herself coming out about it, the momentum shut off as the food conversation begun.

Quite fascinating on it's own, but it was hard to keep track of their back and forth, other than Dayeon having quite the trained palette. None she could pick up on her own, like most of her own cuisine. Were they not here, she would be thriving off from deliveries and poor choices for her diet.

"H-hey come on don't look at me like that okay?" It was difficult enough to find Val in a bad mood, and twice as hard to word out an apology between her grinding teeth. "I'll make it up to you. Someday. I'll go pay for your- Yeah, that, the boudoir. Sounds fair?" The correction came in handy to funnel her shame through a snap of her fingers and a bold promise affirmed through a pearly smile. "Sounds fair."

"Didn't you watch Girls Derby Infinite? They turned me into the main focus of episode 4."

Eyes rolling, arms thrown in the air, Nico made her answer clear in the most offended way possible.

"Look, I didn't watch all that but I did google stuff, but you can't trust the kpoppedia about this kind of stuff. Sometimes you need to go straight to the source." Fork pointed over to the idol, seconds before she used it to stuff her mouth full.

She adds, one loud swallow and a sip after, "-But that sucks. I mean it ain't no surprise but, I half hoped your life wouldn't be dogshit like ninety percent of the girls in that industry. I guess it makes sense considering our particular gaming addiction." She snorted derisively, having forgotten entirely of the samples as the melodies simply blended back, like birds chirping in the morning or the many masses walking down the streets on a thuesday morning.

It was there, until one brought attention to it or the filler noise turned white, the former happening and getting a raise out of the idol, and in turn, of her own brows in a questioning manner.

"Drama song?" A quick look over to Valeria confirmed she didn't misheard just now, "Oh nono let's hear it, give us the tea. I don't watch the shows, I just like to see you wear pretty outfits and sing, so I'm missing all 'dat if you don't spill the beans now."

"Mmm-hmm," She had this smug smile on her face as she looked at Val, nodding. "Definitely not racist." Dayeon did make it clear that it was just a joke with her tone, because the pinkette was a very easy target.

"What season are they up to now, or have they gotten replaced by something else?"

Finishing the rest of her fried fishcakes, she put the plate aside, leaving the gravy-sauce-thingy. The idol then picked up one more chicken skewer to enjoy. "Uh, six months ago, Boys Derby Cosmosverse. That's how we got FLASH/PYRO from the five finalists." It was a great feat, producing top K-pop groups back to back. Hope that their agency would treat the boys well, unlike how they treated her back in the day.

"I half hoped your life wouldn't be dogshit like ninety percent of the girls in that industry."

"Funnily, the rest of the Slime Girls are probably as rich as Ari or more, every single one of them."
And one particular girl has more money than she could ever spend in her lifetime. "Me being broke is kinda an outlier." She shrugged, chuckling.

It was probably too late, as the other two seemed eager to hear what was supposed to be the OST to the K-drama currently in pre-production. "Uhh..." She just decided to turn back and sit back down, letting them listen to the track as her vocal kicks in. "...This one needs to stay secret for now. They haven't found the right actor to play the male lead yet, so nothing has been announced."

The mellowness of the melody and the surprisingly sweet voice were something that was unheard of before from Dayeon. "It's a romance k-drama, I provide one of the opening tracks..." She explained, pausing between the verses of the song. "...And also play the female lead."

"No script yet, but the premise is that a female tech company CEO, wishing her life could be different, somehow got transported twenty years into the past. I'm supposed to play the younger version of her."

"Riiight…" Her face told Nico everything the blonde didn’t put into words, a quiet chuckle escaping once she caught sight of the smirk Dee was sporting.

The last few bites of her food kept her mouth busy long enough for the topics to shift, a content sigh escaping Val as she placed her now empty container on the table. Two chicken skewers remained after Dayeon had picked one, and Val decided to indulge one last time—the last one left for Nico to take.

Surely she wasn’t gonna bitch about chicken skewers too, right?

"Aaah, so that’s where they popped out of…" Well, it’s not like the agency had a bad track record when it came to artists… it’d be interesting to see if, in time, their popularity might reach that of the Slime Girls.

"W-Wait." That Dee was broke wasn’t news for anyone in the room, in fact it wasn’t uncommon for idols in the industry to be broke, but her unnie was somehow the outlier in this case? "Watcha mean everyone else is loaded… the fuck did you do, Dee?"

Baffling really, and the blonde couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of her nose. The now empty skewer was dropped among her stuff when Val reached for her drink, quietly finishing the rest of the tea as she listened.

"They haven't found the right actor to play the male lead yet, so nothing has been announced."
"That isn’t a no on you being the female MC though."

A sly smile slipped onto her lips as Dayeon started beating around the bush, and it didn’t take long for Nico to join her in prodding the idol for the juicy and unreleased bits about the k-drama in the works. She had to admit the song was something different for her unnie, but her vocals had no issue hitting dulcet tones.

"Look at you, branching into new ventures~" It’d be interesting to see her unnie on the screen not as mostly]- herself for concerts, but portraying fictional characters for a story. instead "Mmm, so they’re going for a kind of regression type of storyline?"

The genre was quite common in webtoons and manwha, though she couldn’t remember if it’d been used often when it came to k-drama—although one example did pop to mind. "Tangerines set the bar high on that type of story telling POV... do you think the crew has it in them to match that type of quality?"

Nico clicked her tongue, hands reaching into her pockets, stretching her legs out under the table like one would on their couch on an evening sunday, "Can't ever win with you two..." She protests, slipping a hand to rest on her tummy, far too spent than usual when it came to a good meal.

She stretched her hand forward as if her laziness could pay off, wiggling her fingers in the chicken skewer's direction. She reaches out, only to stop once her glutton's instincts die off.

"What Val here's tryin' to say is that from all the slime girls we met the best one." She smirks, hands casually drumming away at her abdomen as she spoke, "Ain't got one buck in her name but still puts maximum effort, all for the love of it. See that's why you are my favourite, my guts knew it." A gleeful cheer in her tone as her instincts were validated once more, "Still, ain't all these stupid shows paying anything for you to show up or does it all end in your producer's pocket or what-have-you as a boss?" Straightening herself, arms resting over the table, carefully nudging the empty plates to the side as she does.

"They haven't found the right actor to play the male lead yet, so nothing has been announced."
"That isn't a no on you being the female MC though."
"I know a guy who could play the male lead..."
There was a grin, a flash between her eyes set dead on Val, then back to Dayeon, then on Val once more, wiggling her brows as if the punchline couldn't be any more obvious, "Would be the perfect drama, we'll just pick another fruit for the name, like 'Peach in the past'."

Valeria was right to call it a new venture, the whole vibe of the song could almost put her to sleep compared to what she is used to from the slimes. As a 'fan', that meant supporting it, as a friend? She had a limit on how long she could bore her mind out with the sample for a soup opera of a romance show, enough so to force herself up to her feet.

"This song's killin' me, let's change the track. I can barely feel my legs." She gave a few close-handed smacks to her right leg as to prove her point. "See? Dayeon: put the woman cheats song. You know the one." Eyes set back on Val just then, eager to predict the blonde's bullying and deflect it with a: "That's not what the lyrics are okay? I promise it's cool, I just can't pronounce it right." Making sure to put a straight face in the process, at least until the absurdity of the lie won over and got her looking away to keep her impish smile from view.

"Watcha mean everyone else is loaded… the fuck did you do, Dee?"

"What did I do? I think it's called not being born rich." She let out a small giggle while shrugging, because it's not actually a joke. The industry was just that predatory. "Everyone was loaded with cash from the start; it didn't matter even if they never got a penny. But I basically exited with just enough." The emphasis on just enough.

"Ain't got one buck in her name but still puts maximum effort, all for the love of it. See that's why you are my favourite, my guts knew it."

"Well, thank you for that."
She took the compliment to heart, appreciating the praise.

"Still, ain't all these stupid shows paying anything for you to show up or does it all end in your producer's pocket or what-have-you as a boss?"

"Just like everyone who works on this earth, we get wages. Sometimes bonus."
The idol sighed before emptying the milk tea with one big gulp. She slammed the cup on the table as if it were a beer mug. "And then subtract survival show cost, training cost, dorm cost, production cost, etc. All in the contract."

Probably unfair to blame anyone. Life is just like that, and she should have known better. Zero regrets, though.

The talk quickly turned into an interrogation of her upcoming drama, which doesn't even have a finalized cast yet. Nico was the first one to spout nonsense.

"Would be the perfect drama, we'll just pick another fruit for the name, like 'Peach in the past'."

She just looked at her, deadpanning before shaking her head. "No, I don't think I know who you are talking about." And she just left it at that.

"Mmm, so they’re going for a kind of regression type of storyline?"

"Yeah, I think it's a pretty widespread trope in Korean media." Dayeon stacked the empty plastic plates while nodding, "Apparently, the script was already done, but I haven't seen it, so I don't know anything more." Val then referenced the legendary K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, which starred none other than her idol figure. "Don't know if I just become the main lead from that point after the intro, or if we jump between POVs. We'll see, because that one would be hard to do."

It seemed like a mellow, romantic melody wasn't quite Nico's forte. It checks out, the girl looked like a walking domestic violence. "That's all the tracks I have," Carrying all the plates with one hand, she displayed the skill she learned years ago as a restaurant worker. "No, Nico. I don't know that song. Is that supposed to be Chinese? Why would I know Chinese?"

As she walked away to the door to throw away the trash, she turned back to the pair. "You two can chill here for a while, but I'm heading out in thirty minutes. Need to bring my motorcycle to the mechanic for maintenance."

"Aah, that makes sens—wait, all four of them are loaded loaded?" The look on her face confirmed this was the first time Val was hearing about it. Aside from Katya and Xialong, the two figures that screamed old money to her ears, she had assumed the other two had a similar background to Dayeon’s.

"Whoa, since when do you ass kiss this hard?" Nico’s words were a far cry from what the pinkette often delivered, an eyebrow raised questioningly at her friend as she wondered if Nico’s drink had been laced with some unknown substance. "You’d make Ronja jealous if she was here."

"Honestly, that industry is bullshit…" It was baffling that it still managed to exist as it was, though the blonde could somewhat understand how it had managed for so long. Adeal with the devil was a necessity for most people that wished to live the dream Dayeon had succeeded in reaching and, while some producers weren’t actual assholes to their talent, it was hard to change the course of such a gigantic industry.

Not impossible, but certainly the steepest of uphill battles to be found.

Her own tea was quietly finished as the conversation shifted towards the kdrama in the making, the empty cup quietly placed on the table next to her empty containers and the lone chicken skewer. "Seriously? Neither of you is gonna eat it?" She barely waited for an answer as a hand reached for it, having zero issues with finishing off something so delicious…

At least it would’ve been, had Nico not decided to open her mouth while Valeria was mid-chew to deliver the worst take in history to assault their ears.

". . ." Her face displayed the absolute disgust that Val was currently unable to put into words, the silence stretching between them as she carefully resumed chewing. Had this bitch already forgotten that Ari and Dayeon were siblings?

Maybe all the pink of Nico’s hair was her brain matter escaping through the pores…

"Damn, they’re really keeping it under wraps. Feels like one of those no in-between ideas that become unforgettable… " And just like that the original topic resumed, Nico’s comment ignored as Dee revealed the few things she did know so far. "Yknow, the ones that are a fifty-fifty ‘cause they’re an irreplaceable masterpiece, or because it crashed into a glorious bang of fire and ashes."

She hoped it’d be the former, after all Val wanted to see her unnie succeed in whatever role Dayeon decided to step into next.

"Lucky you, III am still stuck with this sentient sack of spuds for the next couple of hours tho." A thumb pointed towards Nico, the last of her skewer already finished as the blonde stood up. "If I leave her alone she’ll take ninety business days to finish unpacking all her shit."

"Is the baby jealous? Does she want a compliment too?" Her tone sugary, infantilizing, offering a practiced pout and the fakest apologetic look she had to offer back at the blonde, "Once you do something worth complimentin' I'll give you some don't you worry."

As Dayeon put in perspective the predatory costs that supposedly justified the emptiness in her pockets, a hand reached out to her own in search of a smoke, holding it between her fingers. Only getting a feeling for it at the moment, knowing full well this room wasn't suited for smoking, let alone while in their presence, content with simply fidgeting with it.

"Most jobs don't expose you publicly like being an idol does. That kind of stuff wears you down real fast." Dayeon was an example that hit right at home, keeping her sincere for a brief moment.

One that she didn't wait around to fill in with distasteful humour, knowing what kind of reaction it would foster on these two, with a proud smile on her lips as the topic came to a halt and switched back to a lighter tune.

"It used to be a pretty good song. Made a comeback as a meme and all." Absentminded, she reached out to the cigarette and put it between her lips, holding it by the edge, "Eh whatever, let's just wrap this up-" She wasn't even done talking that the puerto-idiot here elaborated it for her instead.

Eyes on Dayeon now, a hand stretched in the general direction of the gremlin, "See how she gets? I give you a compliment and her goblin greed kicks in." Though she didn't deny the truth: It would take a long time to unpack, if anything, because most of it could wait until she had her gaming setup first, and because there is no Ronja around to mom her about it.
