Yu sighed as it seemed that literally no one else was concerned about the random house surfing around on the water like it was possessed. Yeah, this was about par for the course as far as horror movies went. Tack on the fact that Kyra seemed to hesitate for no more than a moment before heading into the house, and Yu was pretty sure they'd all be dead before nightfall.

"I need to get a swimsuit too," Yu admitted, turning to Toko and Brutus. "Imma go with her and see if I can get one. And hey, if we end up getting trapped and chased by some evil spirit who wants to embalm us, or turn us into Frankenstein's mermaids, two people is better than one. Wish us luck," the man said as he turned and walked towards the house, waving a 'good-bye' over his shoulder as he went.

Stepping into the house a minute or two after Kyra, the man breathed a sigh of relief to see that the girl had in fact not been beheaded, gutted, salted and smoked for winter ration like a fish or something. "Yo," he greeted the woman again. "I need to get a swimsuit too. Figured we could look around together, if that's cool with you."

"Eh, what's that?" Yu asked, finally noticing the other two people in the building, and pointing at the strange stone the one was carrying.

Ruffling the Hare's hair, the Felis' eye's narrowed into slits in anticipation as the rabbit namedropped two of his favorite landers. Any treats acquired from them were sure to be delicious. The Lion's tail swished idly in excitement as he found a nice spot and then laid out a comically large blanket for those in attendance to set up on, setting his basket down, which didn't actually have anything in it but Brutus made a show of pulling a couple of bottles of Sake and wine out, along with some cups and...a small table to set everything on.

"Shoot me a message if things get Dicey." Brutus would call out to @Yugam and @Kyra Vashtana

As he went about his work he looked to @Hanno Futaba "Hey, where's your big ass shield? I was thinking we could use it like a big wok to cook things on." Raising an eyebrow he would look up from the basket to the group. "If not I just happen to keep a wide assortment of collective junk including kitchenware in my UI for a rainy day."

 

[Lune]

After the rumors of a get-together spread quickly around the travellers, the platinum-ranked girl was sent by the Adventurers Guild to investigate and keep the peace should things go somehow wrong.

Instead, Moonsong showed up with the only intent to have fun and nothing else. Wearing a cute pair of swimwear and none of that zombie skin make-up, she looked just like a normal girl on a vacation except for the scary eyes.

Wow, yeoreumidaaa!

The enthusiastic opening shout of the classic korean summertime anthem came high up from the roof of the lakelodge, where a girl is holding a conjured microphone and having a blast singing by herself, her voice heard across the lake amplified by the usage of Harmonic Magic.

While the singing continues, she waved at the people below; few faces are familiar to her, @Toko and @Kyra Vashtana being two of them. "Owner!" The girl shouted at Lala, the owner of the lakelodge below with booming voice, to ensure that she heard the singer. "Bring us fresh, cool drinks! It's on me." She then continued to sing at the top.

After the gigantic slimodile shenanigans, Moonsong found herself with so much money than she could possibly spend on herself. So there's no hurting in making the party more livelier with drinks.

"Oho~ Good work my love."

The sudden words caused the hare’s cheeks to instantly color up, a deep rosy shade covering them before Toko felt a familiar hand ruffle her hair. "I-It’s not a big deal… I’m sure plenty of people thought of bringing stuff too!" She was still relatively new to the whole dating idea, the pair having decided to give the relationship a try barely about two weeks ago if she was counting correctly.

"Ah, wakatta! Hope you both find nice ones~!"

She called out to both Yugam and Kyra as the pair disappeared into the floating lake house, before her long ears twitched as they picked a new sound and caused Toko to look up. "Hey, Moon-saaan!" The hare called up at the brunette while Brutus had gone off to prepare a large area for those gathering, excitedly waving back at the woman once she caught her attention.

From the water the previously nameless Faerin finally solved that riddle for Toko, an eyebrow raising ever so slightly at the very similar names the cousins shared, though the rabbit spared Hanno of any questions—instead making a familiar hand motion to bring her palm UI up before scrolling towards the inventory. From the air a large picnic basket materialized, the design one that Brutus was also pretty familiar with as the hare had gotten Esther to lend her the basket once more.

As usual it was filled until it could hold no more with various freshly baked rolls and goods from the Honeyhome bakery, and Toko was surprised to find that they still felt somewhat warm despite being inside her inventory for a few hours. "Yeah, let us know how we can help Hanno-san!" With the massive blanket now set Toko would walk over before depositing the basket carefully on a corner, watching as the lion kept the charade of popping out more and more absurd things from his “basket” as he no doubt fiddled with the UI inventory.

"A-Ah? My shield... It is... Uh- It is fixing!" Hanno grinned at @Brutus Dahlgren , rubbing the back of his head and doing his very best to not glance at Hanna, who would probably give things away instantly. While it wasn't all bad, Hanno would rather not try to explain that his shield happens to become some little sister version of himself every once in a while.

"Y'know, that fight was really tough, and my shield got a handful of damage, so I left it with my trusted blacksmith to take good care of it." He said, trying to pull a good excuse, though-- "Well buddy, you ain't the only one. I also happen to have my own cooking utensils, so if we get together, I'm sure we can have a whole set ready." Hanno nodded eagerly, preparing to reach for his enormous backpack to pull the utensils out of it.

His attention then shifted to @Toko, flashing a grin. "Well, I think if everyone get together, we could set up a camp at least? I mean, it would be fun if we extended everything all the way to night and have a camp night. One without the smell of fungi annoying us, at least." He chuckled.

Before @Kyra Vashtana could even respond, @Yugam showed up, revealing the intentions of the girl at the same time he pointed out the power stone.

"Oh, this? This is a power-" The girl started explaining, soon getting her words cut short-

"It is a rock!" The faerin interrupted, quickly and glared at the girl while mouthing a 'shoo shoo' at her. After the girl was gone, she turned to the two customers, beaming a smile. "Oooh so the cute and lovely couple want swimsuits?? But I happen to have something the two of you will love!" Lala hurried to take a huge pile of swimsuits and trunks, waiting for no explanation.

"Here~ I personally think the two of you would look lovely in purple, but taste is taste~" the faerin showed a two-piece swimsuit and trunks, both of them purple with violet hearts all over them, matching in the most embarrassing way possible. "Oooor, something more like this, if you are more reserved?" She offered a yellow piece swimsuit with black strips and a set with trunks and boardshorts following the same aspect.

"Oh really, you can choose anything! There is a big selection~" She gestured to the pile, that went from extremely suggestive to eccentric and fairly plain swimsuits and trunks... But all of them had one thing in common: They matched each other.

"Huff, huff- Okay boss, I'm done with the power-" The girl returned, quickly being interrupted again.

"PERFECT, MARY! NOW PLEASE GO TAKE SOME DRINKS TO THAT SINGING CUSTOMER OUT THERE!"

"But... It is lunch time..?" Mary asked, having an obento on her hands.

"Go now or you won't have money for lunch anytime soon." The faerin's smile faded immediately, staring at Mary with a serious expression.

"Geez..." Mary pouted, going to the kitchen and shuffling in there for a while before leaving the lakelodge with a hilariously large platter covered by drinks of all types. Juices, water, sodas, coconuts with straws, a suspicious black bottle with a white skull printed on its label, ale, rum, everything, really!

"Here you go, dear customer." She said, looking at @Moonsong.

Kyra

At first, she'd been surprised when the door had opened behind her - half expecting to turn and find the hare-woman having joined her. Instead, she found herself face to face with Yugam, his expression as calm and collected as ever.

Her face flushed as the store's owner began pulling out suit after suit, each meant to be an obvious pairing for couples. She felt her eyes slide towards @Yugam, before turning back to the shopkeeper - a slight look of fear, mixed with embarrassment on her face as she stuttered out a response.

"Oh! Uhm...we're not...together. I mean we're friends, but not [/i]friends friends[/i]. He's definitely nice and all but uh...well...I don't really know him that well, and well...and...uhm...you know, he's just...a friend."

She rushed forward, grabbing a set and tossing the required payment at the shopkeeper, before looking for somewhere to change. She rushed into the changeroom once she had found it, before sighing heavily. That was...awkward. Well done, Kyra. Now he's probably never going to want to speak to you again.

Figuring she might as well change, she took a moment to switch into the suit - realising at the last minute what she had bought. She'd grabbed the first one she'd seen, but the suit was far from her normal styling. Designed as a two piece, the purple suit contained a bottom skirt, and a far thinner top than she was used to - all accented with red stripes and white flowers that reminded her of snowflakes, in a way.

Sighing, realising she was stuck with it now, she quickly changed, taking another deep breath before stepping back into the shop, and then quickly making her way through to the front door - her face on fire as she fought back the embarrassment.

Embarrassment that only grew tenfold as she stepped out the store's front door, and realised that there were more people outside, than there were inside. A single word slipped out her lips as she stopped mere arm's length away from the singing party that appeared to be occurring, her face a dark red colour, and her eyes wide.

"Shit."

While Kyra might have appeared embarrassed by the shop owner's assumption, Yu simply stood there in silence with an amused look on his face, one that only grew as Kyra tried to explain that they were not in fact a couple. Chuckling as the poor woman walked away, the man turned to the shopkeeper saying, "Thanks, I'll have a look around."

Spending a few minutes looking at the swim trunks that were on offer, Yu wound up picking out a blue-green pair, with...were those Kewpie Mayo bottles as the print? It seemed so. Finding the pair amusing, the man decided to purchase those, before going to the counter and paying, then going to change in the fitting room.

Coming out only a little bit after Kyra, with a towel in hand, the man saw the woman standing around awkwardly. "Uh, you okay there?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow in equal parts confusion and concern.

"Oooh, that's a really good idea Hanno-san!" A loosely balled hand met her open palm to accentuate her words, the Lepus now brightly looking at the Faerin. "We could even set up a really nice bonfire~!"

With that idea in mind the rabbit soon set off to work, the first thing on the list making sure that wherever they lit up said monster of a fire wasn't unsecure enough to start a natural disaster due to poor planning. After some consideration the hare finally found a nice plain area that seemed fitting enough, not too far from where they were setting up their blankets and cooking stations but far enough that the smoke from the future bonfire wouldn't bother anyone hanging out in the vicinity.

"Alright, first thing is to make this smooth and leveled..."

With that Toko knelt down, her hands softly pressing onto the grass covered soil, before she allowed her magic to quickly spread throughout the area. The dirt shifted and churned, eventually gobbling up any wild grass and flowers that had once laid upon it on a ten by ten feet square area. Once any possible flammable material had been removed she began to work on compacting the soil as best she could with geomancy, trying to keep things as leveled as possible as the hare eyeballed her progress of things.

"... then the containment area for the bonfire."

With a final boost of Geomancy the Lepus caused some large stones and small boulders to erect around the middle of the grounds she had prepared, creating a five by five foot square right in the middle where logs and other kindling objects would later be added as the bonfire was slowly brought to life.

Brutus would nod along. "Yeah the fight was pretty tough, I melted my canon killing the Kurungar, so I've been feelin kinda naked without it recently." @Hanno Futaba 's excuse made excellent sense, after all the only other alternative would be something crazy like it was suddenly sentient and capable of turning into some lolita...

That would be absurd.

"Between you and I Hanno, we'll grill a legendary feast!" Frankly he was a little worried he would singe something, but his power over fire would hopefully help keep him from letting the heat get away from him. They would move to set up a new spot, he would scoop the blanket up wordlessly and follow to watch @Toko work her geomancy with a level of precision he'd never seen from her.

"God damn Honey Bun." He would let out a soft whistle. "That's got to be some of the cleanest and most precise use of your magic I've ever seen." If she'd turned back to him she would see he was clearly impressed, not a sign of a smirk or taunt to be found on his face. Once she was done, he'd drop the blanket again and trot over to begin gathering some firewood, dragging several large downed logs over towards the newly minted firepit. As a pyromancer, he was obligated to oversee the creation and ignition of this excellent fire.

"Also, where did Yu and that Kyra woman go? They were buying bathing suits right? Shouldn't they be back soonish? Maybe they did get like...got."

 

[Lune]

Moonsong did a backflip as she jumps off the roof to the lodge below, landing dramatically like a certain armored superhero. She proceeded to take the platter from Mary and looked at the black bottle with a white skull logo with raised eyebrows. The girl said nothing though, and instead tossed the poor lodge worker a bag of money that was easily twice the value of the drinks.

"Keep the change for yourself."

She walked to the newly created bonfire zone, which is very neat considering it was created with Geomancy. As the brunette made it near, a big fire was suddenly ignited by a large man. Pretty nice. Looks like they're staying until the night, or even through it. There's always the lakelodge if she wants to crash.

"Guys, I brought drinks!" Moonsong proclaimed, bringing the platter full of drinks to the group outside, offering the drink first to @Toko whom she had known, before going to the others. "You must be Brutus. Nice to meet you! I'm Moonsong."

She proceeded to introduce herself to @Brutus Dahlgren and @Harveste, offering (non-suspicious) drinks "Hiya! Here, drinks!" She then looked at a pair of green haired faerins with intrigue, which prompted her to ask @Hanno Futaba.

"How cute. Are you guys siblings?"

Kyra stepped up to the now busy campfire, her hands fidgeting around her as she tried to fight back the embarrassment of the situation. She could see that the others had already begun the party - clearly not willing to wait, not that Kyra could blame them for that.

She caught the tail end of the question regarding @Yugam and herself, piping up with a wavering voice as she tried to make her presence known.

"Oh...uhm. I'm here! They actually had something. Well, a lot of something. I think Yugam may still be getting changed...err...or, hi. Uhm, yeah I'm fine...I think..uhm...nice outfit?"

She quickly glanced towards the suit Yugam was wearing, before her face lit up red at the consideration of what she was doing. Trying to force down the embarrassment, she turned her attention back to the group before them, trying desperately do think up anything that would change the topic.

"So uh...anyone feel up to hitting the beach? Trying out the water? I heard a rumour that the water is super refresing, and absolutely beautiful beneath the surface. Besides, you can't come to a beach without trying out the water, right?"

She gave her typical beaming smile, hoping that she wasn't appearing anywhere near as awkward as she felt.

"Thanks," the man responded with a chuckle, looking down at the odd pair of swim trunks he'd picked out. "You too." With how shifty Kyra was, it didn't take more than a moment for Yu to realize that she was still feeling embarrassed about what the shopkeeper had said. And so the change of topic hadn't been much of a surprise.

Yu looked over at Brutus as he started approaching the group. "You brought a board. Gonna hit the water?" the man asked as he looked up at the massive bonfire that they'd been setting up. Geez, he hadn't been gone for more than like...five minutes. "You guys have been busy," he said, mostly to Toko, whose geomancy he recognized.

"O-Of course it is... Geomancy is the one I've used the most since I started playing after all."

Probably the only mastery that hadn't ever gotten out of control too... so long as the rabbit didn't go mixing it with Astramancy too much. "Oh, I almost forgot...!" The appearance of the brunette by the firepit as Moonsong decided to join the group managed to refresh the hare's memory.

"I saved a super big and super good quality chunk of slimodile meat just for today~!"

She'd wait for the Faerin to finish getting ready before fishing it out of her UI inventory, but so far the other cuts Toko had prepared on her down time had been quite delicious so the hare felt confident enough in thinking those present would enjoy the treat. A smile was given as the Lepus accepted the offered drink Moonsong handed over, taking a sip before she turned over to Brutus.

"Yeah, they were gonna buy swimwear... and please, I'm sure it's fine. It's just a lake lodge, Moonsong's been there for a while now it seems and she's fine after all."

Sure enough the familiar voice of the vixen caught their ears, the rabbit giving a thumbs up in response to the swimsuit Kyra had picked out... before her eyes fell on Yugam and his pair of trunks, a loud chuckle escaping Toko in response before she finally managed to utter a few words.

"No way, she had a kewpie mayo pair?! That's honestly amazing, best pair of trunks around so far~"

One such man who enjoyed the scenery was upon the lakeside, fishing rod in his hands. It was a poorly crafted one that he made himself, though he was of the opinion that he was getting better at it. A cigarette sat in his teeth, a floppy hat upon his head and a half-eaten sandwich on the quilt that he had laid out by the lakeside.

"Another Astorean Walleye..."

He had been fishing out here for hours now, his goal to catalogue the different kinds of fish that can be caught by rods within the lake waters. He'd tried many different places, most embarrassingly of all at the Deathrush Falls. No, there had not been any fish there.
Fishing was a calming past-time. He'd found it to be relaxing, and never stopped after he began by justifying it with the duty of needing to catalogue the fish in every area. He was making a Wikipedia, after all...

He had yet to even notice that other people he knew were even so much as in the same region as him, this was how invested in the hunt for fish he was.

 

[Brutus Dahlgren]

"All I can muster is big rock movements, nothing so precise. You'll have to teach me sometime again, perhaps another round of throwing hands and training? You are the best sensei after all~"

"Congrats on not getting got." Brutus would give @Yugam a clap on the shoulder and a beaming grin. "And I was hoping to find some waves out here but..." looking to the lake he would gesture to some rather pitiful looking waves. "I mean, I might be able to catch something...but it won't be anything to write home about. Were you tryna catch some waves? We could go out there and dick around a bit after I get some sunscreen on and stuff." His eyes would flit between the flustered @Kyra Vashtana and Yu, raising an eyebrow. Was there something there?

@Moonsong would introduce herself and he would shake her hand. "Ah, pleased to me-" he paused. "Actually, you were there when we fought that golem thing right? I'm positive we've met but never got to talk. Hi, I'm Brutus, nice to see you again under better circumstances." He was idly curious how she had learned his name, she seemed to know @Toko ? Had she been talking about him?

Curious.

The mention of slimeodile meat made the scars from the right proper death rolling he'd received earlier throb, but the idea of biting it back made him grin a bit. If @Hanno Futaba was half the chef he hoped he was, this could be delicious. "Slimeodile meat? Sounds tasty! What are we gonna do first I guess? Are we eating? Are we swimming? What's the plan eh?"

The bigger man was watching her, a moment of gaze upon her frame that somehow felt like an eternity. Kyra felt herself shift in place, her tail swishing behind her slowly, and her ears drooping slightly atop her head. She looked anywhere but at the man - Brutus, if she'd heard the introductions correctly earlier.

She was about to say something, anything that would break the awkward interest in her - and was he eyeing Yugam as well? Before she could, though, his gaze had moved on, and someone had produced something that Kyra had hoped never to see again; a portion of the slimeodile that had caused her so much pain.

"I was really hoping everyone had just tossed that whole damned thing into the swamp, or burned it to ashes..."

Her comment slipped through tightly pressed lips as she stared at the piece, her gaze a mixture of pain and sorrow, as well as something akin to anger. She wanted nothing to do with it, but also knew she couldn't stop the others from enjoying it.

Straight-backed and stiffened, she grabbed Yu's arm, pulling on it gently before heading towards the beach. She called softly over her shoulder as she went, before skipping down the small decline to the waterfront.

"Come on Yu...let's go hit the water. Or, you can have a snack and then join after, if you want. Although they do say you should wait a while after eating before trying to swim."

Her tail stuck out behind her as she finished her sentence, the fur on it standing on end in a way that gave away her emotions more than her words did. Not that she entirely cared; that thing had done more damage to her friends than she cared to remember. She just wanted it gone from her life - and preferably theirs as well.

A pair exited the lodge, one of which she instantly recognized. There's just something unique about that purple hair that she would recognize @Kyra Vashtana anywhere. "Oh, it's Kyra. Have a drink!" Moonsong tossed her a canned, cold drink. Guess magitech is now pretty advanced for them to mass produce canned drinks.

"Also, you. Here's the last drink. I'm Moonsong, you?" She tossed the last drink, which is coincidentally the black-bottled drink with a white skull symbol on it at @Yugam unknowingly. The brunette turned back to @Brutus Dahlgren "Of course. Your cannon action was iconic. You're quite famous, if you don't know."

Her expression changed at the mention of the menu though. "Slimodile.. meat? I'll pass on that." After seeing firsthand on how yucky that thing was, there's no way she'll be eating that for a few weeks. "Alternatively, we can also fish here for the food! Like, look at that guy!" She pointed at @Askera Question, who currently sits pretty far at the lakeside. "Is he part of your group?"

@Toko mentioned something about the lakelodge and her being fine after going out of it. "Oh, it's a pretty normal lodge, not a serial killer's den or something. I even planned to stay there if I get too lazy to go home."

"You fucking bet they did!" Yu replied to Toko with a cheesy smile, striking some exaggerated poses. "Pretty damn stylish, eh?" No, it looked fucking stupid, and Yu knew that. But that was also why he bought this pair.

Turning to Brutus, the black-haired man shrugged, not noticing the appraising gaze the giant cast over Yu and Kyra. "Eh, I'm down for anything. I'm just here," he said before an ashen-skinned woman, the one who'd been singing from the cabin's rooftop. "Yu," he introduced himself, taking the drink from her. "Thank you, pleasure to meet you," he said with a smile, just before he felt something tugging on his arm.

Yu's brows furrowed in concern as he watched Kyra walk towards the water before looking back at Brutus and Toko. "Uh, I'll be right back," he said, before going and chasing after the purple haired beastfolk.

"Hey, you okay?" the man asked as he finally caught up with the woman, a concerned look on his face.

Brutus would grin to Yu as he left, shooting him finger guns. "Ay, have fun man, I'll be over here vibing for the moment." Clearly the purple haired woman was perturbed by the meat being proffered by @Toko , but the exact reasoning eluded him.

Hypersense could only pick up on body language, not peer into the past.

Unsure of what was going on with her, he would let @Yugam handle it since he seemed to know her better. Perhaps some frolicking in the water would put her at ease?

Turning back to @Moonsong he would raise an eyebrow. "Famous? I mean, I know I'm a platinum rank and all but I wouldn't say famous unless we're in Honeyhome." Shrugging, he would turn to watch where she would point and squint.

"Is that..." his tail would swish. "Askera?"

The silver haired man was living the perfect portrait of an angler, floppy hat and everything as he went about studying the most recent catch of the day, turning back to Moon he would nod. "Yeah I know him, I don't think he's here with us, but he's definitely a friend and I'm willing to bet he's currently on catch and release, but if we ask him he might set aside some of the bigger catches to cook later on."

The voice from behind her caused her left ear to twitch backwards, giving away her awareness of the individual before she could stop it. Sometimes these beastly apendages give away far more than one would like... She mumbled to herself, her frown deepening as she continued moving towards the beach.

"Yeah...fine. Just...don't like the slimeodile thing. Had some bad encounters with it. Very, very bad..."

She stopped suddenly, wondering why it had affected her now, of all times. She'd not really been that bothered at the time of, or any event after it - in fact she'd returned to the field shortly afterwards, unphased. Although one could argue that doing that is a sign of concern.

"I guess it's just...I don't know, for a moment I remembered the pain of being caught in its jaws. Bad memories, and such."

She glanced at Yugam as she spoke, before wincing suddenly, her tail drooping behind her.

"Oh...sorry, I completely forget that...err...sorry..."

Well done, super social worker...mention memories to the one person in the game who's missing a few. Brilliant. Face suddenly flushing slightly, she turned back to the water, watching the sunlight sparkling off it. She tried to shake the negativity, wondering where it had come from, anyways.

"The water looks so nice...wanna come for a swim? I mean, you can come a bit later if you want. I know they're having fun up there, and I wouldn't want to keep you from it - seriously, not guilt tripping here."

She gave a large grin before turning and making her way towards the water, sticking a foot in carefully before squeaking and jumping back.

"Holy fuck that's cold! Alright, uh...need to get...used to it a bit..."

A quick, deep breath and then she rushed forward and jumped, diving into the water in possibly the worst form that had ever been seen in the game, submersing herself completely. A moment later, she surfaced, sputtering water and curses as she forced herself further out.
