"You have to remember, this world basically ceased to exist for four or so years," Harveste began, laughing nervously. "I've never had the best memory. In our world, especially. To be honest, when I came back, the only person I remembered was Kaede. And I barely remembered what she looked like, so when I saw her, I was pretty stumped..." A sad smile was now present on her face. She was embarrassed, but also a bit down remembering how off she felt when she saw Kaede for the first time in four years. "I'm sorry though... I don't remember anyone like that in particular. If I did know her, I have no memories of her that stand out."

She hopped over a rock in her way before continuing to walk briskly. She had many questions she wanted to ask- for example, why was Yu looking for this woman in the first place? Was this a UI-locked person, or not? Her mind rushed with curiosity- but she didn't share it with him. She felt it wrong to pry in this case. So, she kept her somewhat sad smile to herself. It wasn't her place to ask. Not yet, anyway.

The muscles of Yu's jaw tightened, the tension visible as he gave a sad smile. "That's alright. It was a long shot anyways," the man said, rubbing the back of his neck as they walked. "I heard about that though," he said trying to smile, "that the game got shut down for a while. And that the VRSA has it blacklisted." Though the why was pretty clear to Yu now. The threat of UI-Lock more than justified the game being banned from most, if not all countries. Of course, that didn't stop players like them.

"Are you and...Kaede? Still friends?" the man asked, filling this new silence with something as they pushed further up the mountainside. It was a surprisingly easy trek. Yu could only feel the slightest bit of strain as the two pressed forward. Or maybe this body was just in better shape than his IRL body.
