6:00 PM - Starcalled's Homeward

'The Homeward'. A name popularized for it's homely displays and familiar architecture. Granted, it was a novelty for many of the landers who visited Finweald, an exchange of culture that proved one of the first establishments to be fully adopted by players themselves. Some UI-locked, retired as the flames of adventure had simply worn out, or new blazes were lit in the face of a tragedy. All the same, The Homeward provides an anchor to the outside world, a heaven for the UI-locked to remind themselves they were not stuck here alone, wearing a face that is not their own in all except a video game. A video game that is now their lives.

The rustic interior bears reminiscence to 21th century designs mixed with customs from the landers. Magitech wasn't at everyone's reach, so this little inn (like the majority) worked solely through lamp oils and the phosphorescent martinis they are so well known for. Both lander and Traveler alike had poured their fair share of love into the inn that still held a great variety and quantity of customers. Some far more lively than others, and motives were as colorful as alcohol is plenty. Some seek rest, some looked for a bed to drop and log out. Others wished for a meal and some music from the center stage illuminated by blue flame candles. While it didn't hold a light compared to the outside world, it certainly gave a place for people to restock, sleep, eat and laugh. Most patrons were spread across the square-ish room, with some on the first floor, gazing down to the crowds past the iron chandeliers that blocked sight from certain angles. Empty mugs weren't a shocker, found usually across the rather wide wooden rails that served both as 'counters' for the loners who liked the solitude of the narrow corridors that lead to a tight entrance leading towards the plentiful of occupied rooms, or simply to hold back any drunkard from an inevitable fall.

For an ilegal game to have gambling with no form of regulation wasn't nothing new, and the least of anyone's concerns in this addictive deathtrap. What's more surprising is the lack of any in-game systems set on place for any form of gambling...

Really, after the fiasco that was her game with Yu & Luth at the dark parlor, card games in general were now a product of her disdain. It didn't help that this time the outcome did not change: A winning hand, a great headstart, a leap down to the abyss and fucking beyond once the other only lady of the group proved to be blessed by lady fortune herself...

...On how to cheat like a champ. Mid-play, she knew the option to call her out was possible, but that would imply to reveal her own trump: Hyper sense, the sole means for her to keep track of almost every card in the game in most inconspicious of ways. Did this bitch know exactly what she's been doing, or is it just her luck kickin' in right when she wanted it?

The music returned to her deafened world, elven ears flickering once a loud snap reminded her of the rest of the miserable rats sharing her table, all but the winner who had trotted about and left them to their own games.

"I'm going for a drink, start without me." Half of an excuse escaped her pursed lips once her eyes set themselves on her target for the night and made her way over to the counter, pushing past the masses on her way, giving herself a quick look over- The black gambeson when unstrapped like this made for a pretty cool looking coat, so all things considered she's still presentable and just as ready to jump into true battle as she is for a confrontation with what she could assume is a socialite. Or just another gambler in search of a thrill.

"Well played." She called out, seconds before taking a seat on the stool nearest to the bitch who took coin out of her pockets moments earlier in a simple card game. Her ears were all on this stranger, and yet eyes only tracked the activity behind the counter, and the man manning the drinks. "One madras." She said, with one gesture from her right hand to come over. With her priorities on check, she turned over to the criminal of the night and regarded her with a quiet little smile "Didn't thought I could get outwitted like that, I'll give ya' props for that. I figured nobody could play that good in Terrasphere. All people know how to do is kill mobs." Breaking the ice with icecold confidence. Something even she had to pay note of, given how difficult that usually is to her in all but Terrasphere...

Almira hadn't known what to expect the first time she stepped into the world of Terrasphere. Magic? Fantasy? Deadly combat, romantic dramas? Certainly not the reality, falling from the sky at deadly speeds only to be met with nothing but forest upon somehow safely landing. The woman had sworn off the game right then and there, and logged out.

And yet, the next day, she'd logged back in in spite of herself. She didn't know why she did it. Maybe she'd felt it was worth giving the game another chance, or maybe the drone of the day's work had reminded her that she needed something, anything, new to entertain her and pull her mind away from the real world.

Whatever the case, when Almira, or rather FORTUNE, had re-entered Terrasphere, she resolved to look at it with unbiased eyes. And to her surprise, she'd found it rather enjoyable, despite not knowing where on God's green earth she was going. There was a simple pleasure in wandering. The soft rustle of the wind passing through the trees, the occasional birdsong to inspire her once more. The pleasantries didn't last very long though, and FORTUNE quickly grew bored once more.

She didn't give the game up this time around though. She kept logging in, walking from place to place, discovering brand new things that would entertain her for a few hours, only to bore her soon after. Save magic. The discovery of Illusions, Shadow Arts, those were new, exciting, and endlessly creative, the perfect new outlet for the new persona FORTUNE was slowly developing. That of a charming seductress and unscrupulous gambler who used her magic to tilt the odds in her favor at the very last second. Even singing, which she had long since grown bored with, had begun to give her new joys with all the new magic she could weave into her voice, which she could use to talk herself out of trouble when she got caught cheating. It was like she was an entirely different person in Terrasphere, free of the shackles of industrialized music, of real life as a whole.

She was becoming a master of her craft. So when she'd sat down at a gambling table, she knew exactly how to play to make it seem like she was just another clueless young woman, unconcerned with the losses of her virtual currency, and more than willing to overplay her hand for cheap thrills. Right up until the end when she'd pushed all her coin into the pot on a hand that seemed to be beat by almost every other hand in the game. Save the ace up her sleeve. Or in her stocking, as happenstance would have it.

It'd only taken a little bit of Illusion magic, a little bit of a shadowy hand to swap the cards, and suddenly she earned herself the whole pot at the expense of all the other losers at the table. "Ha, see boys? Sometimes you just need to have a little bit of luck on your side," the woman said with a mischievous smirk as she raked in her winnings, only to stand from the table. "And knowing when yours has run out. I doubt I'll be getting so lucky again, so I'm going to call it a night. Have fun," she said, waving at the before striding away to the bar counter.

She sat down in one of the raised seats, and ordered herself one of the pretty glowing blue cocktails she'd slowly been sipping on the whole night, thanking the bartender with an enticing smile before she felt the presence of another take the seat beside her.

"Thank you. You played well yourself," FORTUNE said, swiveling in her seat and crossing one leg over the other, cocktail in hand and bearing a self-satisfied smile. "Some people forget that they can't just play the game, they have to play the players as well."

Grey eyes gave a shameless look to this lady, up and down. Impassive beyond the quirky smile she wore under her sleeve. She was quick to realize she had no need for Hyper Sense to appreciate a well-designed avatar, despite being done so in complete silence.

Yet again, it's not like the elf tried too hard to keep that a secret.

"I agree." A momentary pause to take a sip from her freshly acquired cocktail, hers glowing in a noisy orange. "It's all about the lies. Lie too hard and they'll see it coming. Lie too little and they will see through you like a book. You played us all-" She led on with a tone that subtly hinted at an incomplete sentence. "With legs like these though, I really don't mind being toyed with." Salacious voice rang from her throat, suggestive words remarked with eagerness, the hunger within her gaze set dead-eye on Fortune's, and hopefully she could tell.

It's not of the sexual kind, and neither is it a nice plate what she's after.

"But they ain't worth losing my coin over. Tell you what, I bet you I'll guess the next card you got between your legs. Or well, in your clothes is a bit more accurate." The glitter of a challenge sparked like shooting stars across her eyes. Fiora took a moment to chug down a quarter of her cocktail, placing the drink down on the counter and turning her whole body to face the lady properly. "If I lose I get my fair share back. If you win, I won't tell the 'boys' that someone's a coy rat dressed in silk. I'm sure they would love to take you for a chat. Sounds good to you, girl?"

FORTUNE watched as the other woman's eyes wandered over her body. 'Shameless,' she thought as a secret smile formed on her lips, hidden behind the glass of her cocktail as she too sipped at her drink, the warm sensation of alcohol quickly spreading from her toned stomach into her extremities.

The woman laughed at the other's flirtatious remark, finding how forward she was being rather amusing. For a moment, FORTUNE entertained the idea of taking her to bed. She certainly found women attractive, but rarely in such a way that she desired to touch them. For this one though, she might have to make an exception, she amused her.

"But they ain't worth losing my coin over."

Ah, but there it was. The catch.

"Tell you what."
"Mhmm?"
FORTUNE hummed through pursed lips as she set her cocktail glass back down on the bar counter.
"I bet you I'll guess the next card you got between your legs..."

The smile on FORTUNE's face became evident, even as the woman continued, attempting to barter or strike some deal with FORTUNE and get her money back. FORTUNE wasn't even upset that she'd been found out, or with the underlined threat the other woman had only thinly concealed. No, in fact, this made her all the more interested. This was fun.

"A little bit of a game. Why not?" the woman said with a coy smile. "But, you only get your coin back if you win. In fact," FORTUNE wore a coy smile as she picked up her glass again, and swirled it gently. "Let's make it a little more fun. Raise the stakes. If you win, you'll walk away with all the winnings. You can even tell our poor friends if you'd like. If I win, you keep those pretty lips of yours sealed, and you help me out with a quest. You seem capable, after all." The woman paused to take a sip of her drink, eyes peering at the elf over the edge of her glass. "So? How does that sound?"

Despite the reveal, the woman didn't flinch. She didn't even so much as pout. There was only an harmonic hum and a coy smile once the offer was dropped. Usually it's the overconfident ones that fall first, and earlier it felt like she knew exactly who it was. Now she just ain't too sure about it.

"But, you only get your coin back if you win. In fact,"

All hopes for an easy win just whacked away, a mischievous smile on her features practically pleaded her guilty, but only because Fortune caught her in the first place. Taking a reserved sip from her glass, piercing gaze set over the woman the swirling drink from her peer, switching immediately to her eyes once the terms were spiced up. "Oh?" Putting the glass down, Fiora reached into her undershirt to pull out the platinum dogtags and flash them at the gambler with all the whimsical energy fitting for a fairy. "Is this capable enough for you?" She tooted. "Can't seal my pretty lips by yourself? Guess I got the wrong impression. Welp, I'm in." With that, Fiora crossed her arms, straightening her posture one last time before dusting off her pants, angling her eyes from her own body all the way to Fortune's to give her one last look.

Of course she didn't need to activate every single sense to hyper, nor did it need to be so prominent eitherway, the flash on her eyes just playfully complimented how she bit her lower lips, lascivious to a fault- She hated it, but might aswell take any advantage she can.

Faking interest just so happens to be what needy travelers are most susceptible to.

No sooner had FORTUNE called the elf out on her rigged game had she smiled. This one reminded FORTUNE of herself. Or at least the person she was trying to be. It made her all the more interesting, and FORTUNE all the more eager to toy with her ever so slightly.

The woman reached into her shirt and produced two gleaming dog tags. Frankly, they held little meaning for FORTUNE as a whole. Sure, she'd heard all about the four major factions the Starcalled like herself so often liked to join, but as far as FORTUNE knew she'd never met members of any of the four factions (well, there was that one dark-haired boy who'd lost so badly to her, his girlfriend had scolded him for playing at all), nor did the platinum tags indicate anything more than membership to one of them before. But, the woman was seemed proud, so FORTUNE kept smiling and nodded in agreement with her. Sure, she was capable.

In any case, the elf chose not to fold, and now it was her turn to play. Fortune kept one hand on the bar counter, gently holding her glass, while the other lay quietly in her lap as she waited for the elf to make her guess. Her hands in view, no movement save the soft rise and fall of her chest, there wasn't even a magical trace for the elf to sense or give away how FORTUNE was cheating. Because she wasn't. This was a game where she won either way. Lose, and she got to toy with the idiots still playing cards at the table, watch them make utter fools of themselves as her illusions tricked their minds, win and she'd finally have that much needed help. A win-win scenario for her.

"Five of Spades," the elf finally guessed, and FORTUNE's lips curled upwards into a wry smile. She didn't answer immediately, instead lifting her glass to her lips and taking a long, slow sip. As she set the glass back down on the counter, she uncrossed her legs, her eyes locked on the elf's. Slowly, she parted them, gently pulling up the edge her skirt ever so slightly. "Well, why don't you come here and find out for yourself," she dared the elf with a sultry voice.

"Loving the suspense?" Smug, half-lidded eyes watched when the lady took one long sip at snail pace, as if to add some dramatics of her own with a pause before her legs spread, and Fiora quickly tracked down her waistline to notice just how her clothes lifted ever so slightly. Enough to leave room for imagination rather than give away the full picture, and most importantly, to keep her guessing.

"Well, why don't you come here and find out for yourself," She dared...

A loud 'tsk' from the elf, who didn't hesitate to grasp Fortune's leg by the back of her knee, right as she lifted it up and rested it on her shoulder, as if that leg belonged to her and she had no one to oppose her on that claim.

"You got some nerve." A bit of snark on her tone, but that's as much as it would leak as payback followed in the form of calloused hands that started to trace their way from her knee, a rough kind of appraising a lady's finest assets. "I should be throughful though. Whose to say you ain't hiding the last card elsewhere..." Fiora toyed with the idea for a moment, stopping her advances only to give bedroom eyes back to Fortune, then to the room around them, just as a whistle came from the table of players they were just having a match with. "Maybe for the next time." Her eyes dropped once again, the elf finally pulled down the stocking, revealing the set of cards she dug her fingers into before she pulled them out, slid the last card out, then left the rest of the deck where it belonged, before the entire process repeated itself, slithering fingers tracked bare skin as her fingernails practically dragged along the way, ticklish at best, pulling the garment back where it belonged, and finally dropped Fortune's leg off her shoulder.

Only now did she turn around the card, for the gambler to see first, and then back at herself...

FORTUNE let out a sharp gasp, surprised at how forward and forceful the elf was, despite having baited her directly into it. The small 'o' of her mouth quickly spread into a very pleased smile, accented by half-lidded eyes as she looked up at the elf.

Fingers began to trail up FORTUNE's thigh, drawing out a quiet purr of delight as she felt the other woman stop just short of her intimates. The warmth of excitement was beginning to spread through the woman's body just as the elf drew her attention to the others watching them with eager eyes, and FORTUNE couldn't help but let out an almost girlish giggle. "So you like putting on a show, don't you?" she asked as she felt the elf pull back her stocking and draw a card out of the hidden band around her thigh. "What a shame you stopped before the main event," she teased, looking back up to her, hitting the elf with her own amorous stare.

The elf showed the card first to FORTUNE, then turned it to herself, and FORTUNE couldn't help but let out a wry chuckle as she'd already known the outcome the moment she'd stated her card. "Queen of Hearts," FORTUNE said with a sensual voice. "How apropos." She swung her leg off the elf's shoulder and settled back in her seat, leaving her legs slightly parted quite intentionally. "Looks like I win, hmm?"

Fiora remains unamused for the most, or rather, her ears barely twitched to that reaction, or to the odd looks some were giving them, or the whistling others had. Obviously, for a traveler, this was quite the strange sight being a game. For a lander? Quite the opposite, so long as it's kept brief. Neither were in her mind at the moment, she just had a woman to work on and that's what she did.

Work on that pristine, silky skin this glamber meticulously crafted for herself. If it weren't just an avatar, then this might be the looks of a lady who never worked once in her life, a noble of the highest rank, and some might just assume that if they saw her walk with a proper elven knight like they were bodyguard and employer.

Between giggles and lustful stares, this lady just teased her when her administrations came to a stop, and something like that urged her to shut the woman up, just not with words exactly. Alas...

"If you do win, and you do have a quest that is not paying for a room in this inn, then we'll get nothing done tonight if I have my way with you." Sincerity at it's finest, the elf met these glittering eyes with a thin line across her lips. "I do better after a good challenge anyways." She claimed, finally turning the card back to herself and-

Well, didn't that turn out the most interesting way possible..? Fiora blinked twice, not in disbelief, but to make sure she could check the card right and this wasn't just some trick on her vision. Nope, not a single trace of magic for her to pick up on, the woman won fair and square. "Well then, a deal's a deal, Queen of Hearts." She repeated just the same words going through her head, gently sliding the card against the stool, right between the gap FORTUNE just so salaciously left when parting her legs before standing up to the side, offering a hand to get the woman out of her seat.

"Let's discuss the details outside. I don't like how noisy this place is..." Fiora offered to take the lead right there, adjusting the strap that holstered her sword and strolling out of the inn.

"Go do that shit outside of the game you two!" One of the men at their table called, as the trio laughed and got themselves back to their card game.

It's a shame murder's ilegal.

The elf was attentive. Very attentive. The lithe, slender fingers grazing along FORTUNE's pale milky skin sent a shiver down her spine. Of course, they could only last so long, their audience to their little game slowly becoming more and more worked up as the pair put on their little show.

The elf certainly talked a big game. In every sense of the word, as it would seem. Sadly, she was evidently the kind who was all bark and no bite, for no sooner had the card been revealed did the woman suggest a quick exit from the tavern. "Aw, not renting a room them?" FORTUNE said as she took the other woman's hand and stood, swiping the card from the stool as she did so. "Tsk," she clicked her tongue disappointedly, "you shouldn't lead a woman on like that."

Nonetheless, FORTUNE followed the elf out the door, and soon after began to take the lead, leading her towards a darkening alley, dimming further as the sunset below the horizon. "Well then miss...?" FORTUNE trailed off, waiting for her new friend to introduce herself.

She let that slip: The little pout out of this woman when her suggestion didn't seem to be exactly what she had in mind. Yet to that she just kept quiet and let her hold her hand, get lead back on to her feet. What set the fuse off had to be that click of her tongue that almost challenged. Because of course the bluenette had to win somewhere, and that is by acting dissapointed.

"you shouldn't lead a woman on like that."

Fiora let go of that delicate hand and instead positioned it behind, pressing her index finger against FORTUNE's back. Moments later, it begun to slide down. Assertive yet passive, rough yet tender, just hard enough to be an answer on it's own.

"Who said I'm done?" She smiled, stopping right when she reached the base of her spine before giving her a gentle nudge forth with one finger alone.

With the mysterious gambler at the lead, Fiora just kept a relatively fair distance between the both, not enough to be suspicious, but just what she needs to get a fighting chance should a knife come for her gut, at least to lessen the blow. While this woman didn't look like the kind that gets her hands dirty, one never knows.

It's not often a pretty lady drags her to a dark alley on a death game.

"Fiora. No 'miss'. I'm not that old yet." A little smirk came from that jest, stretching a hand back at her, a swift gesture, but she supported it with a: "And you are..?" She waited, the elf turning on her heels to glance over her shoulder once something tickled her back and- No one.

Strange...

"If we talkin' about who leads who, I would say we are even, but you got my attention. What's the job?" She asked, folding her arms under her bust, as a far less playful and much more business stance coveted her voice and mannerisms alike now, all that left behind at the cozy inn.

"You can call me FORTUNE," the woman said with a slight smile, one that almost crossed the line into haughty smirk, as if to say that Fiora was fortunate to meet her.

"Well, I won't require your services immediately, but I suppose it would be best to inform you of exactly what I intend to do," FORTUNE began to explain as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"There is a less than reputable gambling ring here in Finweald," she said, taking on a serious tone. The playful, teasing tone from before completely gone. "They rig the odds in their favor in order to wrack up debts against their patrons. Naturally, the house always wins, but this particular house likes to tip the odds a little more in their favor than usual." The woman paused as if to allow Fiora a moment to think about what she was saying. Being a gambler, the odds were never truly in your favor, sure the patrons knew this, but when the game is rigged so that you lose, well, that's simply unfair.

"I intend to remove them from Finweald, and take all their business."

When the woman finally introduced herself, and even toyed about with mere expressions, Fiora folded her arms under her bust, playing along with a coy look of her own. "Luck's on my side for once? What a surprise."

The details on this little operation found her from idle to shocked just ten seconds in, at least her eyes were wide and FORTUNE could tell something rings a bell in the elf's head, and that awe turned to resent quick enough, aimed at none and everyone all the same.

"So you are telling me I got scammed, more than what I usually would when playing stupid games." And that had to be the nail in the coffin for her. It all but shifted her priorities, her anger surfaced for a few seconds until she sighed, hot breath coming out as a means to cool off. "Alright. Officially? You don't know I'm from the Adventurer's Guild." Of course, it's not like she's some superstar among them, but this kind of 'quests' tend to have layers on top of layers, and law enforcement is in a different group's list of to-do's.

"With that set aside, what's the plan. I don't suppose you just want to go, knock on their doors and kick them out like you own the place, right?" Incredulous, but her own smile just proves how much she wanted FORTUNE to just say 'yes, just that'. "I would say cut the smaller ties then aim for the root." That very much could work, but everything has a consequence as far as she learned. "Gather some attention along the way. I doubt people are going to stand up when they know their pockets are getting drained like that."

FORTUNE had truthfully half expected for the elf to back out and march away from her when she'd explained what it was that she was hoping do. FORTUNE wouldn't have even blamed her, though she would've certainly tried to stop her. Instead, the elf had (after complaining a bit) asked for more details, drawing out a pleased smile from the woman.

"Officially or not is your decision," she answered the elf's first question. Which one it was didn't matter, she just needed someone to help her get the ball rolling. "And yes, I have a plan. No, it does not involve kick doors down. Something like what I intend requires more subtlety than that," she said matter-of-factly. "If we just beat them around and then tossed them out, they'd come back eventually. And frankly, the people are sheep. Even if they knew, what could they do against armed men while drunk off their asses? Besides, they're all feeling the pressure from being under mountains of debt, and they don't want the loan sharks to start coming after their families."

FORTUNE pulled a small cigarette case from a hidden pocket, alongside a match, which she used to light the thin tube of tobacco. Nicotine began to flood her system, a pleasure she wasn't permitted in the real world. The woman exhaled the smoke slowly before continuing. "I understand if you don't want to take part in this whole affair, beginning to end. Besides, I did say I was only hiring you for one job. I want you to help me find, capture, and turn one particular individual into my inside man."

"Officially or not is your decision,"
"Oh I'm not asking, I'm just letting you know. It's better for both this way, and for the Guild."

Fiora smiled, falling quiet if only to give FORTUNE time to explain, each piece digested one pace at a time. Eventually mid-way through it, the wall became her support to firmly lean against, arms crossed, ears flickering momentarily at the distinctive sound of a match turning to fire to lit the equivalent of a cigarette in this era. Her senses took them kindly, the smoke reaching into her own lungs by mere proximity, but it didn't have close to the same effect as it would do to get it straight from the source.

"Ain't sharin' with your business partner?" A cheeky smile fitting for such brazen words. "Listen, I lost a bet and I hold my word true. You need me for one job, so one job it is. If I'm still interested in helping you or not I'll let you know once that's done, and with the appropiate payment." That had to be cleared first and foremost. She doesn't mind helping a bully take another's place if that's what FORTUNE planned, but never for free.

"With that said, you seem to have done your homework about this. Do you have anything on the target though? We gonna need some big time information, I doubt one of them will play snitch to two random chicks like us with just a few broken fingers."

"Oh, we're partners now?" FORTUNE replied wryly before tilting the cigarette case towards the elf in offering. "That's a fair deal," the woman said with a nod before putting the cigarette to her lips again and taking a drag.

"The man we're going to be accosting is named Ivan. He's a uh...what do you call them...Lander!" Adjusting to all this new gamer mumbo-jumbo was taking Almira some time. Things like 'DPS', 'AoE' and 'aggro' had all taken longer than she'd have liked to admit to figure out, and now she had to learn the lingo of the land too? The poor girl was a singer, not a linguist.

"He's greedy, likes money, but he's also a coward," the woman went on, tapping some ash from the smoldering end. "Which happens to make him the perfect guy to snitch for us." Or at least, FORTUNE hoped so. "He's not exactly high up the food chain, but he hears things. So, we're gonna make him an offer he can't refuse, and then we threaten to break his fingers if he doesn't take it. Easy enough, right?"

"Oh, we're partners now?"
"When you have something I want..."
She added, wiggling her fingers once as she took hold of one cigarette out of her pack. Fiora leaned closer however, almost too close to FORTUNE, locking her eyes as the unlit tip of her own smoke almost brushed against the gambler's. It took a few seconds, ones where her silver gaze never left the other's, but finally she managed to ignite it without the need of a lighter.

Of course a blatant excuse to put some playful tension between the both of them. Always ready to tease this human but never bite, despite how she kept flashing these canines of hers, like a knife lingering at arm's reach.

"You seem to have scouted this guy from long before I came by." Fiora merely mentioned, letting a puff out of her lips, the smoke rolling to the left between her lips. "It does sound easy, a bit too easy but I'm not complaining. I'm just the muscle on this." The knightess finally let her legs move a bit, side-stepping FORTUNE as she gestured out of the dark creepy alley they were standing at. "It shouldn't be too difficult to lure an idiot like that, not with your curves. Once he's got the bait, we just need to get him somewhere no one can hear, and we'll work out the rest. The inn ain't a bad idea, if you have the masteries to muffle the noise." She shrugged, illusion could work, but she's no expert in what kind of power could create a sound-proof room in the first place.

FORTUNE's eyes locked with Fiora's as the elf leaned in close, lighting her cigarette with the end of FORTUNE's. The woman couldn't help but stare into the elf's steel grey eyes, the cold, confident gleam behind them more than enough to draw the woman in.

The sizzling orange glow of the cigarette being lit drew FORTUNE's sea-green eyes back to the present as she pulled back from the woman.

"You seem to have scouted this guy from long before I came by."

Straight back to business. "Can't work a job without all the right info."

It seemed that Fiora had worked out a bit of plan all on her own already, and one that wasn't half bad either. "I'll make my approach while he's at the inn. Guy likes to drink in the afternoon, after they've closed up for the day. It'll be easier to get him into the room, and fewer eyes will be on us," FORTUNE added, seeing no issues thus far. "You can follow us up and lock the door, and I can handle the soundproofing. No one will ever be the wiser." And if FORTUNE was lucky, she wouldn't even have to touch the ugly bastard. Illusions might keep him busy until Fiora decided to join them.

And that much was true. A job without the right amount of info was either a dead end, or a death trap. Sometimes worse, specially to those who get snooping about other people's business. Yet the risk was what she played Terrasphere for.

"Resourceful." She dropped the word, salacious voice adding to her pleased smile- Love a woman like that, capable of figuring things out on her own. "Tomorrow would be a good day for it. There's a festival coming, something organized by new players here in Astorea. It sounds like a good day as ever. Noisy, busy, full of crowds. Less suspicion and eyes on us to-" She caught her words just then, rising an eyebrow while her lips twisted into half a smirk. "Speaking the obvious, aren't I?" Of course, this probably was already under FORTUNE's plans, or she guessed as much they would.

"We are set then. I'll hit you up tomorrow, sending ya' a friend request real quick. Keep in touch, others can't see the palm menu, so you can text me without rising too much suspicion." Rolling her smoke between her fingers, Fiora broke their distance once again. Slow, casual, gentle. It wouldn't take a genius to predict where she aimed for, yet inconspiciously so she averted her face and to plant a smooch on FORTUNE's cheek. "Play nice until then, queen. No gambling."
