Longfall Bridge - Afternoon | Weather: Clear
The bridge was alive with the bustle of travelers. Horse drawn carts and various adventurers wandered toward and away from Stonespikes. A young girl sat alone on the side of the road. Barefoot and hungry, none who passes dare to return her gaze. Save for one man.
"What're you doing here alone?" Creature asked the girl. She couldn't have been more than 10 or so and hardly looked equipped to survive outside of any settlement for too long.
"I was going to Stonespikes but… I'm scared."
Tears welled in the girl's eyes as she spoke. The sight tugged on Creature's heart. He always did change the channel when those sad kid and animal commercials came on tv.
"Can you help me?" She pleaded. Though she wondered if one person would be enough to get her to town. Thankfully a blonde giant of a man happened to be walking by.
"Excuse me sir! May we travel to town with you?" A small cough escaped her lips soon after. Creature was kicking himself for not packing some food or water. With folded arms, he too would turn his attention to the man.
"What do ya say? We're headed that way anyway. Don't think I could sleep if we just left her here." He said.
