"Oh my god, Dayeon, I'm so sorry,"

"Mm, the green-headed idiot,"
Her memories of him came back crashing as the older woman went closer to embrace her "...He was still thinking about his promise up until his demise." It's been so long, that she didn't even feel that sad anymore. But the pain remained, especially when the steel shard in her chest reminded her every time. The songstress tried to create a little space so that FORTUNE didn't get hurt by it.

"That must've been so hard. When did this all happen?"

"Around last month. I'm fine now, unnie."
Moonsong slowly backed away from the tight hug after a while, both of her hands gripping into a ball. "I can't let other people suffer the same fate, now that I know the truth." Her hands wandered to the insides of her own pocket, feeling the gem in her palm. "That's why I need more power. I need to always be prepared..."

She stared at FORTUNE's eyes sharply.

"... Just don't get involved in dangerous things, okay? What we're out there, it's worth a million times than in here."

Moonsong slowly separated herself from FORTUNE's embrace, stepping away from her elder. FORTUNE's hands lingered on the woman's shoulders for just a moment, long enough to give them another comforting squeeze before the woman let them fall away. She crossed her arms over her chest, nails anxiously biting into her porcelain skin as she listened.

"I can't let other people suffer the same fate, now that I know the truth."
"You always were the kind to worry over others,"
FORTUNE murmured softly.

Fierce eyes bored into FORTUNE's, as much a warning as it was a request to not get herself into too much trouble. A little too late for that, but there was no going back now. No need to trouble Dayeon over such things though. "And what about you though?" the older woman countered, "you can't possibly think you can take down every single bad guy that pops in existence. There's either gonna be too many, or one day they'll be too strong. What then? Please tell me you have someone backing you up."

It felt weird to have someone you only knew just now worry over and embraced you, even if she knew that behind that person was the Almira she shared a dorm for five years. There's a relief in knowing that somewhere out there was still thinking of her.

"There's either gonna be too many, or one day they'll be too strong. What then? Please tell me you have someone backing you up."

"Don't worry,"
She winked at Fortune, but the way she did it with eyes full of hatred just made it grim and weird. "I have plans."

"Anyway,"
Moonsong quickly derailed the topic to something more lighthearted but pressing; their rivalry. "End of the year is coming soon, and so will the music awards." A sassy smile appeared on the corner of her lips, trying to rile Fortune up. "Judging by how Red performed in the charts, it seems like I will be wearing this year's crown easily, won't I?"

The woman cheekily put her hands near her ears, acting like she was trying really hard to hear something. "L-MIRA? Who? When? Where?" She giggled.

The way Dayeon attempted to reassure Almira was unsettling. Not in that she was attempting to do so at all, that was normal, it was that dark glint in her eye, the inhuman determination that shown behind the glassy surface. Determination was not uncommon in the girl, they'd work in the harrowing industry of music, after all, but this was something else entirely. Unfettered, reckless, and relentless. It gave the woman pause, stopped her train of thought, dead in it's track as an instinctual fear crawled up her spine.

"Anyway," Dayeon went on as if nothing was amiss. "End of the year is coming soon, and so will the music awards," she flashed her an impish smile, "Judging by how Red performed in the charts, it seems like I will be wearing this year's crown easily, won't I? L-MIRA? Who? When? Where?"

FORTUNE's lips drew themselves into a thin frown as she stared at the girl. Hands quickly went up and lightly clapped together, not loud enough to burst Moonsong's eardrums, but enough to give her quite the start. "Hardy har har, don't forget, there's always next year, Dayeon." The woman's hands propped themselves on her hips, "I'm just letting you build up your confidence, but don't get too cocky."

"Anyways, I should get going,"
FORTUNE sighed. "Gotta get to the studio early tomorrow, so I'm gonna log out and head to sleep. Add me and we can go do...whatever it is that you do in here sometime."
