Well, well, well! What a most interesting question INDEED. What makes you THINK Dissonance is solely contained THERE of all places? Is a FLU only COMMON in Astorea?! A virus is a virus, it infects, spreads, AND multiplies! Can't you see? Can't you FEEL? Vintergard is FULL of it! Quite an unfortunate happenstance, I'd say. They were ALL supposed to be your ALLIES.

As for these most PRECIOUS eggs. The Magia Woman you speak of is called Sz-Szno... Snort... Szofrit! Szofrit. Yes! She will be the oh-so CLIMATIC BOSS BATTLE of your little adventure! Although... unpredictable as you are, you may very well alter the course of fate towards an unknown chapter!

The confusion on her face only grew, whatever questions she had about M&M's existence forgotten as a result, as her attention remained solely on the conversation Vargold and ❰ Null ❱ were currently engaged in.

"Dissonance...? What's that?"

She'd never heard of the term before, not until now at least, and the elf couldn't help but tilt her head sideways in confusion. Szofrit...? That's one hell of a name. And they were supposed to have a battle with her?

"Are we even gonna be able to reach Robomama, let alone battle with her? She turned a tent into a house of horrors wirelessly with our blood..."

"Dissonance is... complicated. Best way to describe it is a corrupting force. One that usually ends up being purple and having too many tentacles."

"It even messes with your UI, if you noticed that was acting odd..."

Ash scratched nervously at his arm. No matter how many times...

"Szofrit... wonder if that's a reference to something. I wonder if the others have learned a way to deal with that."

His attention turns towards the chibi magia. He's vaguely able to peer through the crowd of Legia...

"What about our... hitchhiker, here? Do you have a name, little one?"

AS your awoooing-friend said. Dissonance is complicated! But believe me when I tell you: YOU don't want anything to do with it! As for beating Snortfrid to an INCH of her life, this is EXACTLY why you've been practicing! You just have to believe in yourself!... And have OVER-WHELMING numbers!

Urm... Mama called me M&M... Emmy? I-I'm not sure. Parents give children their names, yes?

She responded to @Ash Vargold before walking over to @Luthien and failing at an attempt to pat her on her head.

Don't worry, big sis! I'm sure you'll manage to beat up all the bad people! You also defeated the scary-looking skeleton man!

What SHE is doing HERE is quite the mystery, indeed. Why don't YOU tell me where this Magia came from?! I have NEVER seen her before!

Was it her, or did the name of the magia woman Time EX had scryed up on kept changing whenever ❰ Null ❱ spoke it? I guess it doesn't really matter that much... If anything this magia seemed to have quite a bit of faith in the Star Called, though that was quite the burden to saddle onto anyone's shoulders.

"Right, so was this dissonance thing always in Vintergard... or was it brought here by that dragonship when it crash-landed?"

As little M&M walked over in the direction the elf was more than happy to crouch down and be at eye level with the miracle child that @Legion hatched, letting M&M pat the top of her head before pinching the small magia's cheek softly.

"Our cute lil' sis is right, Snotfritz won't be able to stop us~"

"...confirmation - Does this mean the ship that landed on the city became contaminated with Dissonance on its way here, turning all, or most, aboard hostile toward life?"

"Additional query - How did unit Null manage to not be affected? Are there more Magia that are like the unit Null?"

The news that Dissonance was infecting magia and that was the reason why Vintergard was such a dangerous place at the moment was certainly important, but Mizuki's attention was drawn when Null tried to name the specific magia that the others had mentioned before and who was responsible for the bloody incident at Camp Hope. Her ears twitched and her brow furrowed before she spoke up.

...I'm guessing it's just a coincidence, but is it possible that her name is actually Snefrid? Because there was someone with that name who died near Vintergard before all this magia stuff started happening.

She was probably just being paranoid, given that Snefrid's body had been thoroughly destroyed. Still...

We've already learned that the magia in Vintergard have the means to turn animals and people into more magia, and corpses could still serve as materials.

Such VILE accusations! Now, I wouldn't want to spoil ALL of the surprises, but the Ship was NOT the cause of your local Dissonance infection! Just like I, we're all here to just help you! That said, I can not deny the possibility that without the ship, NONE of this would have EVER happened! But SUCH is life, is it not? A small decision, altering the course of ALL of history.

She then tilted her head upon MAI's second inquiry, giving her a bright smile.

By keeping my distance and STAYING safe, of course! Maybe I should wear a mask, too? Either way, I am ABSOLUTELY certain I won't be the only Magia friendly to your cause!

My my, quite the imagination you got there! I am glad to say, however, that that's NOT the case.

The chibi Magia, in the meantime, was giving off some sort of squish noises as @Luthien squished her cheeks. Though clearly enjoying the treatment as she responded as best as she could:

Having said that, she flexed her tiny arms while trying to emit an aura of confidence. All that, combined with her small statue and Luthien's treatment, made her look rather silly.

It should be a criminal offense how cute this chibi magia was, and not for the first time the blonde found she was happy the team had managed to hatch the golden egg... and that she'd also been able to escape the simulation with them all.

"Mmm, that's something only Mama Legion can answer for you lil' M&M~"

A final pinch was given to her cheeks before Lúthien looked in the direction of @Legion, considering it had been their efforts at the end that had managed to bring M&M forth it only seemed right to leave that decision to them too. Instead her gaze turned back to ❰ Null ❱ with a new question.

"You keep saying that y'all came out here to help us... but help us with what exactly?"

After all, it sounded like the dragonship and the magia within had come from really far away... the elf couldn't help but wonder what exactly had drawn them towards Vintergard in the first place.

"Actually... where did you all come from, anyways?"
