@Erick Styker and Levi gain save roll advantage (Protect Aura)

It was nominally different than anticipated.

When Erick thought of Siege Engines, he did not consider multipedal warmachines that moved at intense and blinding speeds. Generally, they were slow moving and heavy hitting. It was a deadly reminder that this world was not the same as he was used to. When the monstrosity came hurtling into view and unleashed its hellish payload, he could only watch with jaw agape as it was rebuffed by the wall.

Anything standing in the way of that death ray wouldn't be standing for long. Scratch that- they wouldn't exist for long. The sheer heat of the blast could be felt from across the battlefield, and in the behemoth's wake, the world was burning. "Jesus Christ," Erick cursed as he looked to the other two members of his trapping group. They did what they could to prepare the battlefield, but the only way to truly stop this unrelenting death was going to be with equivalent, opposed force.

Erick surged forward with purpose, dimly aware of the words coming from the NPC at the forefront of the charge. He wasn't outfitted for the work that Levi extolled in his speech, but he was Frontline support. Drawing his temporal magicks around himself, glyphic symbols etched in the air around the Lion, drawing a thin veil of gilded light that faded rapidly, but left a sensation of warmth around the man even as the fabric of reality around them shifted.

Flickering, fading, repeating. They phased in and out of the timeline as Erick dipped into it, focused on the DEAD.naught. The sands of time rolled spiraled down around it, rapidly degrading the metal, aging the joints, seeking to expose it to their allies to enhance their damage dealt. They needed to slow it down. Manipulating the timeline as Erick could was uniquely suited to that kind of task.

"I'm with you," he told Levi as the others taunted the boss. The man's passion had not gone unwitnessed. He would not go without a champion.

The thing that came over the horizon was something beyond what Kyra had expected. Large, overbearing, destructive. Those were all things she'd pictured. The giant crab-tank however, wasn't anything like Kyra had pictured - much less the bullets whizzing all around it as it burned and blew away the grounds around it.

"What in the hells...shit!"

Kyra went from standing still, to rushing along the wall as she made her way across to the nearby ballistae. She could see a few others around her beginning to move, reacting to the thing. She had gotten a few steps when the explosion struck the wall, causing Kyra to stumble for a moment as the concussive wave washed over her.

"Ohshitwhatthefuck..."

Righting herself, she pushed forward, moving towards the ballistae again. She slid to a stop behind it, her gaze running over it as she looked at the complex mechanism that held the large bolt.

"Ohfuckme...what is this thing...ugh...alright firing lever...firing lever...where is the firing...there!"

She ducked underneath some sort of guard, finding what looked like a lever designed to release the bolt. Reaching forward, she tried to pull on the piece, unable to get a grasp on it. Unable to grasp it, she growled loudly to herself, before giving her tail a hard swish.

A gust of strong wind suddenly slammed into the lever, forcing it backwards and releasing the locking mechanism, allowing the bolt to suddenly launch. Kyra stood in time to watch it sail through the air towards the giant thing, before spinning on the spot and looking for another bolt.

"Should be on the frontlines...need to heal...should be on the front..."

She repeated the lines over and over, cursing herself for cowering at the rear, for not being up front with those who were in danger. She continued to reload the bolt even as she swore at herself for her stupidity, knowing that she was letting people down.

Hope In Danger!: Walls

Chelsea lost her balance and nearly fell off of the walls. Everything shook and the sound of burning metal filled the air. The sight of the laser made her think of the one used by the big bug from before.

Yeesh, does everything in this cursed game shoot massive laser beams?

Luckily her pinpointing of the many present weaknesses in the gates paid off. Besides a bit of a shake-up she had taken no damage and the gate was still in a good position considering how far the literal sentient kill tank was.

That didn't really make her think of her suit at all. Maybe this was a mistake but she decided to get started now. That was just one big tank but didn't the reports mention an army? She crossed the wall and pulled up her sleeve where her bracelet was firmly attached to her skin.

Once she did this, she would be lost to whatever that suit was doing to her in short order. Still, it was her means to deal with everything right now. Until she understood what the errors the suit gave her meant and how to resolve them, she was stuck.

This time, however, she decided to take precautions.

"I see you @Cain Darlite . ...At this point I expect you whenever stupids gather to throw their lives away."

The tsun gave a small notepad that she had filled with more information on the wall's issues and updated damage reports to a member of the maintenance crew that immediately set to work. Rubbing her bracelet she offered a slightly lighter look.

"From a fest into this mess. Perhaps you are just crazy rather than stupid... tsk."

For Chelsea, it was her job, a chosen job but still!
Shaking her head she raised her bracelet up to him.

"Which leads me to this. You saw me fighting that slime lizard amalgamation or whatever right?"

Hopefully, it wasn't just a bad dream; she sounded even crazier than him.

"Something has happened where my suit impacts my emotional and mental state. I... well..."

Damn it why was this always so difficult? Didn't he understand without her having to say it?!
She pressed the bracelet with two fingers and the usual vector lines formed around her.

"...I... might have some issues here at some point."

She uttered the words before turning away from the muse and looking out at the approaching mech. It wouldn't take long for her to reach it but there were already many out there... why join them? Why the hell did she keep doing this?

Right, collect data, collect some parts... do something!

ERROR

Chelsea closed the screen and sighed. yes, she already knew that...

"Likewise." She nodded at him. It's comforting being in the presence of another protector. Not a second after they acknowledged each other, deafening stomping sounds quickly echoed through the battlefields; DEAD.naught has entered the fray, guns blazing and firing towards its front. "GET DOWN!" She shouted, towards everyone around her.

Hiding behind the raised ground in front of her, she quickly darted behind covers to dodge the relentless bullets spewed by the war machine. "Gotta go to the front." Creating a massive blade to block the bullets, she jumped straight diagonally into the opposing side, joining her comrade Hanno. Along the way, she stumbled upon a familiar blonde who she haven't seen lately. "Fiora!" Moonsong called out, creating massive swords falling down from the sky for the people on the frontline. "Get behind cover!"

As he was driving again to Vintergard to do some surveillance on the ruins and its new inhabitants, Tetsunosuke then saw a colossal thing on the horizon approaching Camp Hope. Alarmed at what he saw, he then drove towards the direction of Camp Hope to see what was going on, and maybe, to stop that thing from attacking the human bastion. He was also interested on the capabilities of that thing and so he would want to dismantle it anyway so that he would know more about the intricacies of magitech. But with that thing being much larger than any tank that he saw in the real world, as well as the devastation its main weapon dealt on the walls of Camp Hope, he could not afford to be less careful about it. A plan had to be made, and it seemed that there were other people who were there before him that had set up some traps at the front of Camp Hope. But as it turned out, the western portion had no traps, and that machine could turn towards that direction and throw up all of their plans. And so he then stomped onto the accelerator really hard and moved towards that area.

The vehicle that looked like an armored personnel carrier then rode down and then, as its speed was still fast, as it entered the cliff, the vehicle then flew off of it, and after some seconds, landed on the ground below safely and on the position that he aimed to set up the traps. He then set out to work, creating several land mines that will emit an inordinate and dense amount of magic on anything that trampled over them. As he knew that that tank-spider abomination should be really heavy, he really had no problem making them explode on contact with an object heavier than his own vehicle. He then set up the traps in every nook and cranny of that area, hoping that the abomination would hit some of the mines.

The DEAD.naught loomed at last, a colossus of battle-forged steel that stank of blood and fat, eschewing any illusion of aerodynamism or futuretech for the grime of grimdark. Its angular plates indeflected incoming attacks, its long guns outranged the most potent mages, and its treads alone scorched the earth. A monster of a tank, a truly Heavy Object.

And it too, possessed a weapon of mass destruction. The world itself dimmed in the advent of that sky-piercing lance, blue flame melting salvaged plate to slag. Cain braced himself against the aftershock, one hand on his hat, the other grasping his battle-banner, and even then, the rush of heat from the veritable inferno almost sent him skidding off the rampart. Heck, someone did in fact fall off, the dimunitive Faerin holding desperately onto the ledge.

And as for himself?

In the aftermath of the devastating cannon-blast, Cain breathed in the stench of ozone and vaporized metals, feeling the sting down in his lungs, the aching of his beating heart, the tremoring of his deafened eardrums. Ah, how quiet his mind was!

"You've a good eye for men," Cain laughed, turning back to face the equally-disheveled man behind him. He clasped the man's hand in a warrior's grasp, giving it a quick squeeze. "They call me Cain Darlite, my mechanist friend. Flagbearer of Miracles, Bearer of Hylia's Score, and, above all, someone most known for his mastery of Harmonics Magic. Magic that, by nature, supports and empowers one's ally." His thick eyebrows danced in merriment, allowing that to sink in just a bit, before continuing, "But I suppose I do hold the record for strongest singular attack in Terrasphere so far."

A second shockwave sounded through the battlefield, @Ronja Bubblyfoot's electromagnetic rifle punching a hole through seven layers of anti-ballistic armor in a single go.

"Though perhaps that won't be the case by the time this battle ends. This one's for you and yours though, @Valmont."

The midnight-haired muse swung his hand behind him, flipping the trigger of the ballista without even bothering to aim. The bolt streaked through the air, and rather than bouncing off slanted plate or striking ineffectually against the central chassis, it…slipped down the barrel of one of the DEAD.naught's cannon. Two seconds of jamming later, and that cannon exploded, rendering one piece of its arsenal ineffective.

A truly ridiculous trick shot, one that even surprised Cain himself. Maybe if he looked where he aimed, it could've been a crit? Oh well.

"Be seeing you, mate. The frontlines call."

A two-fingered salute, and the Flagbearer stepped off the wall, Astramantic manipulations seeing him drop down with the explosive dynamism of a falling star, replete with celestial sparkles.

A searing light soared overhead, followed by an unending barrage of bullets, as if spewed out from fully automatic machine guns. No. On reflection, Nai could see that it really was just machine guns. With no eye for aesthetics, the DEAD.naught had seemingly decided that the best way to take down the camp was to weld as many guns as it could onto its body, then march forward with all the grace of a lumbering toad. Even siege machinery from the Song Dynasty had more grace than this, had some principles, some intellectual design.

But this? It was just a machine meant to facilitate slaughter, razing the ground that it treaded upon, the heat from its engine ensuring that wherever it marched, only a desert would remain.

It felt like a waste, expending any emotions upon a machine, but on reflection, the motherfucker still hurt. Blood trickled down one hand, a bullet scoring deeply into her shoulder, which cracked and groaned painlessly whenever Nai moved it. Too far off yet for traps to bear fruit, but there were plenty others who would launch themselves into the fray regardless.

Golden eyes caught two up on the high ground, eager adventurers with brighter dreams. Them, then. As for the last one…

Drawing out three poison-laced needles from her bandolier, she threw the first two towards the cat-faced…cat and her pink-haired companion, the pin-thin projectiles pierce seamlessly into the fabric of their clothing, before a surge of electrifying energy coursed into their bodies. It was just an adrenal supplement, of course, one that in large enough doses would end up inducing a heart attack instead. An assassination tool on one hand, but an accelerator on the other.

As for the last one…

A familiar face in unfamiliar armor caught her eye, and she patted him on the back, slipping the needle's point where the plates joined each other.

"Stay frosty, Hyakin," Nai spoke. "It burns the ground beneath it. Anyone who approaches carelessly will be crushed by the treads and then find themselves in flames."

And as for Nai herself? The beastwoman, even with pain negated, had no interest in losing any more blood. She retreated as well, her grappling hook snaking out from her sleeve in preparation for the climb ahead.

-30HP Bullet Storm
Vulnerable

It appeared. A grandiose vehicle that looked like a gun enthusiast slapping things together on an enlarged, ancient-type of a tank. It would have looked ridiculous, it looked like a somewhat patch job, with barrels sticking out of places they should not.

It was not ridiculous. Its size was greater than that of the bug queen, it already towered over them and it was some distance from him.

The Commander spoke, loudly enough that as far away as Hyakin was he could hear him. He continued his march onwards, only to be stopped for a moment as the beam of light flew over their head and the sound of an explosion behind them made him swiftly glance back.

Molten metals dripped off the wall, but the wall stood.

Hyakin turned to face the tank-like enemy, the HUD blinking and shifting as he focused on it, its health-bar, its name.

Hail of bullets was shot from every barrel, hitting everyone. Some pinged off his armour, others dug into its weak points. The power behind the bullets dented his armour in few places and transmitted the impact. It made him gasp and grit his teeth.

He was still sure - this metal junk was going down. The question was only how. He was marching on, deciding to CC it and slow down its movement. As he was getting closer to the group, a face he recognised, called to him.

"Lady Nai."
Hyakin greeted the goat beastwoman with a small nod and then amended his plan as she gave the warning. His body felt full of energy thanks to that drug. "Many thanks. Good luck!" He yelled the last as she left. And then, he eyed the enemy once more, before with fleet movement he weaved past other adventures and took off his shield from his shoulder.

Each step was faster than another and his form almost blurred as he ran onward, slipping a bit past Commander Levi – not too far off but still past him.

Clicking mentally the skill he decided on, Hyakin took a deep breath as his muscles tensed and energy concentrated on his hands, on the shield. Automatically, his body moved, following the system prompt. One foot dug into the ground as his momentum was shifted, to go to his arms.

The middle of his shield glowed. The gentle silvery light wrapped over the huge shield. He hefted.

"TAKE THAT! SHIELD IMMOBILUS!" He yelled, throwing the shield with great momentum, far above other people. He lost his balance and footing.

The shield arched, like a silver bullet, spinning it flew and flew until it hit between the huge links in it tracks, like a silvery thorn in its side.

If Kamala could have screamed, if she had the demeanor to scream whenever she liked, she would have, but what kind of mother would she be—I'm not her mom!—what kind of friend would she be if she did that so tactlessly and in their current situation? @Ayna Nietzsche had a mind of her own, though chaotic it might be sometimes, most of the times, and she was free to do whatever she wanted, felt right. All Kamala could do was make sure she could come back to them. She hoped.

"Stay safe please!"

She called out to her as she zipped away, a worried expression on her face as she held herself tightly. Come back to me safe. She would have lingered on that feeling, that sadness, longer if she hadn't seen @Chrys rush forward as well.

"Oh, no, you don't! Not without me, you're not...doing whatever it is you're doing!"

Chrys was a little slower than Ayna, if not just as slow as her, so Kamala was able to catch up to him. It helped that he didn't really move that far away. She was quickly able to notice what he seemed he was planning to do and kneeled right beside him, helping him with his task at hand.

"Is this trap actually going to work?"

Kamala was known for being a bundle of hope, for being able to see the light past the darkness, but sometimes, this world just tests her to her limits. Kamala almost botched her trap but managed to surge forward to a success. Whew. What's another death, right? She's already died once. What's a second time?

Just after thinking he was getting a semblance of a grasp on the situation his world changed. A bright flash. The sound of air disintegrating. The Sky Lance rocked the wall, and he watched people get swept up in the aftermath. He was no exception. He didn’t have time to prepare, to brace, to react. His coat caught the gust of wind like a sail and jerked him back by the shoulders. His feet slipped out from under him as the wall shuddered under the force of the blow. Even with the pain sensors turned to safe he felt the hard click as skull met ground that sent stars sparking before his eyes.

Starting to get back up he took @Cain Darlite proffered hand, to finish the handshake from before, and graciously accepted the aid to rise. ”Cain is it? A pleasure to meet someone so prestigious so early.” He groaned, rubbing the back of his head. He had barely enough time to grasp the titles before his companion flipped the latch on the ballista. He saw the bolt fly. A smooth, clean, arc. His range-trained brain automatically hummed away on intense calculations long since dedicated to intuition. He traced ahead of it, to its inevitable goal. ”No-” Two octahedron flicked up in front of him, the tops opening and a pair of transparent lenses hummed into existence. They scoped out, the vision of his right eye zooming in on the DEAD.naught. He watched the bolt slide home in the barrel, and the resulting explosion. ”-way.” He completed the thought, astonished.

Turning away from his scope he attempted to gape at Cain, but only caught coat tails and banner as his erstwhile companion practically flew across the battlefield. ”A bloody demi-god, that one.” Coming to his senses he clapped his hands, walking to the edge of the wall. Stick to what you know. Alright boys! Time to get to carry our fare share.” With a flick of his wrist and a wave of his hands the swarm of octahedron departed from him, flying down the face of the wall and along the section of devastated red-hot slag. One by one faceted blue panels began to appear, slipping into place and shoring up the molten metal into a more cohesive slab. He wished he had time for something more comprehensive, but a quick patch would have to do.

The blast pressed up against the wall and the ensuing force did manage to stagger the magia a bit. She wasn't standing too close, but the force of the attack still shook the entirety of the wall they were standing on. She couldn't even see what was attacking them from where she was. All she could reliably register was how @Kyra Vashtana, who was next to Mai, stumbled off to somewhere else without saying a single thing, not acknowledging Mai's presence or help in any way. Not something the girl was happy about, but oh well.

The clearly affected many more people as well. Specifically, the magia spotted a faerin who was completely thrown away, holding onto the wall with all of her might. With the help of her own masteries, Mai hopped forward, and as if weightless, floated all the way to where Meriam (@Raid Boss) was. Combining Magitech, astramancy, and even a bit of aeromancy, the girl was able to construct a bit of an anti-gravity module for herself prior to the fight that allowed for limited flight. Grabbing the faerin, she did her best to pull her up back to safety - hopefully a better alternative than falling down the wall if the fae's hand slipped.

"So this is what those people meant when they said this world could be really dangerous. Hmm... how to help from here... front lines are probably not it."

Sure, it seemed like the wall in the back was no better after the blast, but still better than engaging the tank head-on. Thankfully there were the ballistae. Eyeing one on the far-side of the wall, the magia would nod to herself and float over to it, mounting the large weapon. It wasn't too difficult, all things considered. Everything was already set up, so she just had to aim and fire. It was then that she finally spotted what exactly they were up against. A hulking mass of metal leaving behind a carpet of flames like some abominable slug. There was no hesitation in firing the ballista.

As, Nyancy sprinted forward on the elevated ground she suddenly felt a surge of energy pushing her onward. Looking down, Nyancy saw the needle embedded in her.

"Normally, I'd be pretty worried about bein stuck by ah needle an all, but it looks like this one's lit ah fiyah in Nyancy's pants!"

Waving downwards towards Nai, Nyancy continued on her way slowing down only momentarily to turn backwards over her shoulder towards Glamdark.

"I'm gonna go on ahead! Catch up when ya cayn, I'm gonna need ya aftah I hit that tank monstah ova thea."

With the power of the embedded needle, Nyancy pushed off with all her little might carrying her forward. Reaching the end of the elevated terrain, Nyancy jumped off without hesitation.

"THE CAT'S OUTTA THA BAG!"

Hitting the ground, the small Felis rolled to absorb the shock.

"Nyancy roll!"

Picking up seamlessly, the would-be hero charged forward past a group of adventurers. (@Vina Skysong, @Ludmilla Orphys , @Aroda )

"S'cuse me, comin' through ova hea! Hero Nyancy is headin' to tha front! Chin up and good luck to ya's!"

Giving a brief greeting as moved onward, Nyancy continued until she reached Levi (@Raid Boss , @Asch )

Standing next to the red-haired man.

"Don't worry theyah, champ. Ya ain't alone. Ya got an army behind ya, and Nyancy at ya side. Whaddya ya say, time tah be heroes eh?"

Nice looked forward at the DEAD.naught full on.

"Not gonna lie though, this ain't gonna be easy, is it?"

Chuckling, Nyancy took a low stance as if she were about to draw a sword. Suddenly sparks of electricity began to flash in the palm.

"Nevah is if ya gonna be ah hero though..."

From the sparks, a sword manifested arcing with electricity.

"Let's see what this thing's made ah! BEAST LORD CHAMPION!"

All at once an orange aura of power erupted from Nyancy then quickly squeezed down into a tight aura around her.

"HEA WE GO! LET'S GET THIS STAHTED, HERO'S DRAW! NEKO MO SHAKUSHI MO!"

Uttering the phrase, Nyancy drew the blade upwards in a slashing motion unleashing a bolt of lightning from the blade that barreled into the DEAD.naught.

Explorer's League: Red Whistle

Bluebird squeaked, dropping behind the wall as the DEAD.naught fired. The reinforcement she had helped coordinate had melted and shattered in the blast, and people had scattered - but for now, it held.

"Just like with the Mother, then..."

She slapped the sides of her face and twittered back to the top of the wall. A ballista lay unmanned before her - she didn't much about its function, but it seemed it only needed to be aimed and fired. Just like a bow, or a rifle. She shifted the ballista and released its payload - it wasn't well aimed, but enough hit to pepper the machine's surface.

"Yes...!"

She took a deep breath, looking forward. With a song, she summoned the wind to uplift those who had been knocked into precarious positions - she took extra care with a young woman danging precariously from a ledge. Another deep breath, and then she launched herself off the wall, her long leaps taking her towards the front line.

As Vina tried to think of a way to better utilise her abilities to create a trap that would work against a giant death machine she heard approaching footsteps, distracting her from her thoughts. The vixen turned around to watch @Aroda approach, the druidess smiling gratefully as the blonde offered her assistance.

Of course! Just tell me how I can help and I'll do my best~

Compared to herself, who'd arrived here with nothing but the clothes on her back and the staff in her hand, it seemed like her new friend was a lot better prepared. The white-haired vixen watched with curiosity as Aroda produced several objects which looked a lot like the kind of mines she'd expect Earth military to use. It was a jarring contrast with the fantasy setting that Terrasphere was supposed to be, although Vina supposed that the fact they were fighting a giant death machine meant that other mechanical gadgets were now fair game.

Huh. These are charged with Aeromancy, aren't they? (As she spoke Vina inspected the mines Aroda was planting, keeping a safe distance.) I don't know much about technology, but I can help you charge these if you want~

Her own attempts at preparing the battlefield hadn't gone so well, but if she could assist Aroda's methods that would still mean that she was doing her part. She was caught off-guard when Aroda suddenly seemed to... glitch out, but before she could do anything to assist the magia she already recovered on her own. Was it possible to glitch like that in Terrasphere? Vina had never noticed anyone having connection issues with the servers before.

Are you all right?

Although the two of them were interrupted when some figure made of energy suddenly approached them, looking vaguely like someone Vina thought she should be able to recognise but being unable to put a face to the name. Her azure eyes moved from the energetic figure to the one who created it, raising a hand and waving it as she greeted @Ludmilla Orphys.

They wouldn't have much time to get familiar, however, as the attack began. The massive death ray that flew overhead and smashed into the barricade had Vina yelp in surprise, the bright glare forcing her to close her eyes and shield them with her free hand. The aftermath of the attack was clearly visible, with the fortifications glowing from the intense heat they'd been subjected to.

Turning towards where the beam had come from Vina blinked several times. Rather than a tank, what was approaching them was a huge crab-like monstrosity, racing across the ground and leaving nothing but scorched earth behind. With the size and ferocity with which it moved Vina wouldn't be surprised if it'd smash straight through the wall upon reaching it, especially if it kept firing those beams.

With everyone else already charging forward Vina tried to think of how she could best help. None of her own attacks would leave a dent in the DEATH.naught, so she'd have to find someone else to empower. As luck would have it, in the distance she saw that one of her beloved friends was also in the fight.

Keeping a tight grip on her staff, Vina ran towards where she'd spotted @Fina Drago, calling upon the wind to try and deflect some of the bullets that the DEATH.naught was liberally spraying everywhere. Unfortunately the velocity of the bullets surpassed the deflective properties of her protective wind, biting into her skin and flesh and leaving Vina biting her lower lip as tears formed in her eyes. Being struck by hot metal was far from a pleasant experience.

She didn't slow down, however, and quickly arrived where Fina and several others were still gearing up to attack the DEATH.naught, which was approaching quickly.

Hey there~ I'll back you all up, so don't hold back!

Holding her staff out in front of her Vina tried to ignore the bullets raining down all around them as she concentrated. She began to whistle, at first a simple tune before the whistle rose in pitch until most people would be unable to hear it. Combining her Aeromancy and her Harmonic Magic she harnessed the vibrations, channelling them towards the three people she'd do her best to support.

Fina, Ash, and Azykia would hear a faint humming sound, and once they used either martial or magical means to attack the DEATH.naught a high frequency vibration would augment their attacks, weakening the DEATH.naught's frame upon contact to ensure their attacks would have devastating results.

Traps were planted, and death beams were fired. The entrance by DEAD.naught was truly a sight to behold if it wasn't so damn terrifying. The beam of death immediately drew memories of a certain insectoid matron that used a very similar laser to evaporate several members of a party in an instant. Thankfully, the attack was aimed at an inanimate wall this time. Fina could only hope that there were no casualties since she was a bit too far into the front lines at this point. The area where she was seemed to be in the same general state of mild panic, however. There was even someone already running back in a state of panic! Wait, is that- "Vina? Wait, what the-"

Without much explanation, magic was cast, and the feline's body was empowered. A familiar feeling by this point, actually. "Um, I guess this means there is no time to ask questions and I should just blindly charge ahead, huh..?" That would probably bode well. Letting out a sigh, she would do just that, doing her best to weave through the storm of bullets (unsuccessfully) and get closer to the boss. It... certainly looked different from what the girl imagined. Must have been the mechanical legs. "Alright, step number one would be bringing it down to its... knees..?"

Foregoing any weapons for now, Fina would instead go ahead and try to get almost directly beneath the machine. A dumb idea to be sure. There was a good chance one of those legs would land directly on her. But before that could happen, she did her best to use as much arcanamancy as she could to bring forth chains from the ground, wrapping along all six of the metallic legs. She could only hope that would be enough to at least slow the damn thing down since she doubted she'd actually manage to bring it all the way down.

"Oh... that is a big tank."
+1 haste from Nai

Feeling a rumble, Glamdark turned around with a curious expression to see a big ol massive bad news tank. Her jaw was slack as she saw the monstrosity of a thing just generally making a nuisance of anything which had been rude enough to decide to exist within its presence.

"Ahahaha... what...?"

Glamdark continued to be in disbelief until a needle poked her in the back of the neck.

"Woah... WOAH! Okay! I feel better, now, thanks Hunter x Hunter girl! I owe you one!" @Nai

Twirling her broom, Glamdark mounted it and sped down the canyon following after Nyancy.

"Hell or high water I want that thing on my mantle!"

She grinned. She hadn't realized it, but she was now on the tippy-front of the front lines, and gradually the energy-drink high of the needle dissipated. There was just the tumble ol rumble and a lot of shouting.

"Hm... this is actually vaguely terrifying."

When Nyancy let off her attack, however, Glamdark remembered her part of the job and swooped over to place the her-meow on the back of her broom.

"We'll see if we can't get around it! The fire's probably just a nuisance compared to the fireworks right?"

Gathering her energies, Glamdark cast a heal.

She was thankful for the boost that @Erick Styker’s chrono magic provided, taking a task that would’ve been arduous and EN intensive before cutting the time and cost of it in half at the very least. The pit was soon dug out, and with @Quinn’s own special touch it was soon disguised out of sight from any unsuspecting enemies that could stumble upon it.

Already the hare could hear the rumbling of the tank as it approached, ears twitching in response when the redhead at the front began his own chanting. She loosely remembered Levi from her earlier days within the game, and while the Lions Pride hadn’t left the best impression then on Toko she couldn’t deny the man had spirit—and a pair of steel to be standing where he currently was.

The hare been about to move when the sudden change in the air caused Toko to stop, a rancid stench suddenly building up and assaulting her nostrils, before the fighter watched with a shocked expression as a massive energy beam shot from the behemoth of a unit and smacked right into the recently reinforced wall of the camp.

"Kusoh!"

A part of the Lepus was faintly aware of familiar faces among the battlefield. She was sure her eyes had spotted @Kyra Vashtana and @Cain Darlite over by the camo wall as she’d headed out onto the field, and even the familiar visage of @Moonsong and @Azykia hadn’t escaped the fighter—the latter invigorating the hare who shouted a thanks back as Toko sped through the space the young girl was occupying. @Fiora Di Angelo however went unnoticed, the Lepus unaware of the recent aesthetical changes that Nico had undergone for her IG avatar not long ago.

It seemed she wasn’t the only one with similar ideas, surprised to see Erick also move in the same direction as herself as they both reached Levi. The blue-haired man took the defensive approach for the redheaded Lord Commander (@Raid Boss), earning a nod from the fighter as her crimson eyes turned instead towards the advancing Dead.naught. "We’re not letting you through without a fight!" Toko crouched low onto the ground as her palms pressed against the soil, the Lepus allowed her will to flow onto the earth and mold it. Once more the focus on her ear glowed brightly, channeling her efforts, before various random pits opened up under some of the massive legs that carried the weight of the machinery to hinder its progress.

Aroda gave a weird look to the one (@Vina Skysong) who was concerned about whether she was okay or not. Considering she was perfectly fine, she was a bit confused why the girl had asked...but they didn't have much time to start a discussion over it, as a giant laser shone through and blasted the wall, followed by a tank rolling through, blasting shots all over the place.

"Ah, hell! Oh, sh-"

She staggers back to standing up from her position planting mines, shielding her face with her metal arm - which a single shot does bounce off. With a grimace, she resolves herself - the real fight's started now, so...she's gonna have to get in there!

The best weapon she's got at the moment, huge metallic device that would be hard to identify as a firearm if it didn't have four sets of four barrels sticking out the front, appears in her hands from its place in her inventory. She marches forward with it, the thing being a bit too unwieldy to run with easily, until she reaches the area where other players had started gathering to fight off the giant tank. Far as she could tell, this area would leave her out of the thing's path, while still able to fire on it, so it was as optimal a firing position as she could get, for now.

So she sets up, planting her feet, tightening her magnetic hold on the weapon's forward grip and...firing handle. Her form, along with the weapon, start to glow with the electricity that she channels to power it, before soon being funneled out into a spray of rapid fire shots, each of the countless bullets trailing streaks of the electricity that they were charged with. She holds this position, continuing to fire as long as she can...

As Bradwynne was moving towards Camp Hope as he had heard of a horde of robots about to attack it again, he then saw a beam hurtling through the air and making contact on the camp's walls. He wanted to rush towards the wall, but steeled himself not to: Although Camp Hope might be devastated by that atttack, he was also in danger of being instantly obliterated by an attack that he did not know. Fortunately, except for some bits of metal sloughing off the makeshift walls, it was still intact, and as soon as the beam's effects had subsided, he then moved towards the nearest edge of the wall to find out what was happening.

As he clambered atop the walls to see what sort of a machine fired that devastating beam that had even melted metal, he was then reminded of Corvella again. Was her eventual defeat at the hands of something that was similar to that robot? When even the power of one the greatest Traveler stalwarts ended up useless in the face of such a threat? As he then finally situated himself on the wall, he then viewed what was on the front, and saw what seemed to be a colossal version of that typical walking turret that he had seen before in Vintergard, slowly but steadily moving towards the walls of the camp. He then also saw some more Travelers and Landers constantly sally out of the camp to lay traps and engage in fighting that turret: he also saw the figures of @Hanno Futaba and @Kamala Graham among them. As he was too far to support them in times of need, he could only offer a tacit prayer that if they ended up injured, they would just retreat back behind the walls for treatment. But for now, as no one behind the walls still needed healing, he then set his eyes on what looked like a really large crossbow. It was loaded with ammunition that looked more like a really long and heavy spear, but it seemed to be still unengaged. Bradwynne then pulled the string of the weapon so that it would reach the end of the spear, but as soon as he had done that, he lost grip of the string as it then propelled the spear towards the large moving turret. As he then saw the spear lodge on the turret's body but only making a pitiful dent on it, he then thought that the weapon might not even suffice to defeat that thing. But still, that was the only thing that was closest to a ranged weapon that he could use, and so he could only use it to its fullest while no one needed healing yet.
