As the situation in the camp got awry real quick, Moonsong abandoned her undercover investigation for now as she prepared to defend Camp Hope IV against DEAD.naught, if only she had the slightest idea what that thing is. "Time to go." Finished suiting up in her dark armor, the brunette jumped into the fray, setting up preparations for the assault.

Setting gravitational pull fields along the ground, she made sure that the magical trap would only trigger on the enemy, and not her allies. "Okay, that should be enough." Gazing back at the gates, it seems that many travelers have also arrived to defend the camp. One of which is @Hanno Futaba who came to their spot to provide cover. "Knight Hanno Futaba, I reckon? Moonsong." She introduced herself. They were not formally acquainted before but she knew his reputation.

By the way, when she was setting up traps, there was a familiar-looking green-headed man @Quinn making a commotion talking about Djinns and striking Jojo pose on the zone to the left. There was only one idiot that she knew doing that kind of thing constantly. "... Kenji?" Nah, it couldn't be.

"We need some more reinforcement on that part of the wall, please!"

There were times where song was what people needed. There was a lot of power behind motivating words and soothing melodies.

But this wasn't the time for it - this was a time for cooperation, and that meant taking charge. Her aerial perspective made it easy to spot where the walls were thin, and her ability to project her voice meant that she could make herself heard. Just like back during the expedition north.

"There are additional plates coming in soon! Please be ready to move them to the appropriate locations!

Harmonic magic wasn't always song and dance, after all, and the clear cadence of her words were more than enough to carry its motivating magic to the rest.

For the pretty much cold-blooded tigress, her second non-grinding trip to the Vintergard area had two distinct differences. The first being that she actually shelled out the money for a nice thick winter coat, a scarf, fleece tights, and some thick weather-proof boots. The second being that instead of hunting for magitech parts for a meager quest, she was here to participate in her first ever Terrasphere raid.

"LIONS PRIDE! TO ME!"

Yeah, that sounded like the start of things. By the time she had made her way onto the battlefield, people began to charge forth, and she was no exception, if only otherwise in how she delayed just a bit to see what everyone was doing.

It was on her way forward to follow the apparent Raid Leader that she crossed paths with a duo who her UI could only distinguish as not being tanks: @Fiora Di Angelo and @Ronja Bubblyfoot who were both laying out some traps. She decided to pause her charge towards imminent death to check up on them. "Hey!"

She slowed her jog to a strut once she neared them, crossing her arms as she tried not to shiver. "Sorry to stop you, but this is... my first raid, and..." She zoned out as she looked upon the traps that had been laid, and some seeming to use bits and pieces of salvage from the enemies she'd become a bit more familiar with in her time. She stepped a bit closer and leaned down without bending her legs. Honestly these things were pretty neat.

"You need help spreading them around?"

Vina looked up at the clouded skies with a frown as she tried to take her mind away from the impending battle. It was easy to forget that in those four years that Terrasphere had been unaccessible the world hadn't been static. While she and everyone else (excluding the UI-locked) had lived their lives on Earth, the people here had tried to reclaim Vintergard only to find it too heavily defended by those strange machines. And even this camp, set up to survey Vintergard from a distance, apparently had been attacked and destroyed several times already.

What for her was a completely new scenario, the people who lived here had already experienced this three times.

It also looked like they were determined to make this the last time that they had to deal with the DEAD.naught, the curious and rather ominous name given to the machine that kept trying to destroy Camp Hope. The ballistae on the walls looked like they packed a punch, and even as Vina had arrived she'd already seen people heading into the fields that separated the camp from Vintergard to prepare for the upcoming battle. The vixen idly drummed her fingers on her staff as she wondered if there was anybody she could help right now... but she'd come here alone, and everyone was already busy with their own tasks.

Well, best she takes their example and does her best to prepare as well. Up on the walls, she felt safe, but the actual fight would happen down in the fields. Following the other Travelers onto the fields Vina watched as they prepared various traps to make the DEAD.naught's advance as unpleasant and difficult as possible, each person creatively utilising their own skills to turn the land in front of Camp Hope into a minefield. So far most of the work was being done to the north and the east, which left the druidess to make her way to the western side.

Now, what shall I do...

She wasn't a mechanic, so traditional traps were out of the question. She prodded the ground with the butt of her staff, wondering if maybe she should try spawning some vines to trap the DEAD.naught, but against something that could threaten the entire camp that would be pointless. Gazing upwards once more she blinked as she thought of something better, smiling to herself.

Magic or not, machines don't like lightning, do they?

Humming happily to herself upon getting a good idea she drove her staff into the ground so it would remain standing, then reached out her hands towards the clouded skies. She usually worked with wind instead of lightning, but she was proficient with electricity when the need arose.

Drawing in the electric charge that was building beneath the clouds she tried to weave a web that would give a nasty shock to any machines that stepped into this part of the battlefield. Blue sparks danced between her fingertips, but as she worked Vina realised that if she wasn't careful she might accidentally cause a lightning bolt to come slamming down before the battle had even started.

The vixen bit her lower lip as she furrowed her brow and focused, trying to find a balance between creating a lightning trap of sufficient power that it would hinder the DEAD.naught without accidentally causing the storm waiting above to break loose. The air around her began to develop the taste of ozone, thick and coppery on the tongue, before she finally relented.

...Maybe it's better to not taunt nature too much~

With a sigh she dispersed the trap she'd been trying to weave, releasing the electric charge that had been building up so it wouldn't accidentally shock anyone. She was sweating from the amount of energy and focus she'd poured into the task, leaving her with little option but to sit down and try to catch her breath before the battle began. She'd have to make up for her inability to help prepare for the fight by keeping everyone standing once the DEAD.naught arrived.

Protect Aura (@Hanno Futaba)

"Ugh, how did I wrap myself in another large-scale battle..." The girl muttered those words through her clattering teeth as she rubbed her hands against the opposing arm. The weather was anything but pleasant, even looking like a downpour would begin any moment. And the cold - her outfit was anything but prepared for temperatures this low! But even as she was just trying to warm herself up, she was swept away by other players headed for the 'front lines'. The whole reason why Fina was here was that she heard that the camp needed some help, but she didn't hear anything about a full-scale assault!

"First a bunch of monkeys with exposed brains, now murder-bots... isn't this escalating a bit too fast..?" But no matter how much she would complain, those words were meant for no one but herself. At least the people around her were enthusiastic(?), one of them even extending some kind of protection over them all. "Aren't you chipper." Hopefully @Hanno Futaba didn't take that the wrong way. But the tentacles he was preparing were quite gross, so the feline kept some distance. And since everyone else was doing it, she figured it was probably best to do the same.

She had no means of creating traditional traps, so she had to rely on the one thing she always relied on - Arcanamancy. The only problem was that it did not allow her to create anything complex. And as she didn't even know what exactly they were going up against, all she could reasonably create were small spiked 'triangles' that were scattered all around the place. No guarantee they could pierce mental of any incoming machines, but it was better than nothing... right?

The first he learned about the whole situation, was a message from the beautiful elven maiden that he cleaned the MIT-battered mushroom house. It was a somewhat foreboding message. Something bad happening to the Camp Hope was NOT a good thing. The coordinates were – well sadly bit of a problem. He was not that good with using the coordinates in this game's map…

Because it lacked the map function that any normal game should have!

Hyakin was lucky enough that he was nearby the Hope Camp – because he was stationed to be one of the PC's patrolling it today.

Which… brought him here.

It was amidst a miserable, which made it a somewhat grim and miserable situation and atmosphere. But Hyakin would be one of the heroes today. He will help stop the enemy, stop over-running of the camp! Of the very important camp.

There was a gaggle of Players and NPC's and it was bit hectic. Hyakin noticed some people kneeling on the area, doing something… Others were repairing the wall and yet others were casting spells.

But there was not much Hyakin could do.. Aside from listening to the Commander and going forward, onward to meet the enemy, to follow after the red-haired devil.

Hyakin felt excited, he could shine as a knight again. No he could shine even better. His armour was better now, he got more used to fighting and unlocked more skills and abilities. He was a better version of himself, a more visible example of a knight. He towered over almost everybody and so he had a clearer view of the front.

He marched, eyes shining, sure of victory.

Man, what a way to be spending her day. Aroda had just wanted to find a few more parts today, having been treating Vintergard's abundance of wreckage like a Radioshack recently...but here she was now, getting armed and ready to defend this little camp from some kind of big robot invasion. The whole thing sounded pretty important, but what she was most concerned with, was that in the aftermath, there should be so many parts to scavenge...

And so Aroda had trudged out to the front lines, a gratuitous amount of ordnance and tech in her inventory, ready to put it all to use in what was basically a giant firing range. She'd been making good use of mines and such recently, so when she arrived on the spot where another person was struggling with getting one going, she smiled confidently.

"Let me help out, here."

With that declaration, she fills her hands with various magitech devices that pretty clearly look like large, anti-tank mines, and a bunch of batteries. Aeromancy and magitech sure did do a lot for being pretty...out of place in the setting.

She starts to toss her things around and eagerly set things up, as best she can anyways, burying a few parts beneath the tough earth and running some fantasy electrical wiring around...

"Gotta put this here, then this goes theee-

Strangely though, she stops moving, her words hanging, audio skipping like a source game struggling to load, and her grip tightens a bit too much over one of the devices she's moving, which cracks open while she freezes in place. Sparks idly emit from the now-broken piece...and also from her mechanical elbow joint. Whatever she was doing, she'd definitely messed it up by breaking this bit of tech...

Or so it would seem anyhow, as soon, she seems to recover, her voice quieting while she gets back to work, fully snapping her device in half and...performing some sort of strange hotwiring scheme, while charging the jury-rigged parts with a pretty unstable amount of magic. But still...it looks like it worked, and she confirms as much as her voice resumes.

"-eere. That all looks good...

She pauses to admire her work, wiping her metal forearm across her forehead. Not that she was sweating, but her head did feel pretty hot, for some reason.

It was always areas like these, full of people both player and lander alike, with everyone ready to face a common threat like it was the end of the world, that Azykia found herself most able to see. And smell. And this time as well, taste. It was like putting too many flavor syrups over your ice cream. Nauseating to say the least, but pretty to look at, at the very least.

Last time, she had opted to sliding on rails to get anywhere. This time she... also slid on rails, but different. With her right side forward, she held a bright light in her palm facing downwards and had to thank the weather for its increasing gloominess as it would allow her to see much more than she had already planned for.

She wasn't up to date on everything that was happening, but she'd done this before. She was pretty much heading to the front to do a little of everything again. Instead of the polite smile on her face, there was a cold look of neutrality. Considering how it ended last time, could one blame her?

As she moved forward, she took a moment of pause to do as she did best and sent out a few buffs to people both near and slightly less near, in the form of three bright blue origami butterflies made of magic. One fluttered over to @Moonsong and popped into an array of colorful sparkles that listed towards the ground as they dissipated.

Two flew off to the right to give a nice "long time no see" to @Toko as one did the same thing to her and another to someone else nearby, @Erick Styker .

It was supposed to be a quiet day. Go for a walk. Explore some new regions. A sound idea in concept, almost pleasent in hindsight. But it turns out Terrasphere had ideas of its own. He still didn't like that; A world with a motive. His lovely afternoon stroll, cut short by emergency support requests, looming doom, trials, and maybe a few bodies.<br>He did not want to see bodies.

So he ran. Sprinting pell-mell through fields, going off of rough landmarks and descriptions to find his way to this camp. At least his body had better cardio. So it didn't take him too long to thread his way through the camp, get directions to the wall, and head for somewhere near the center. There he popped up next to @Cain Darlite, boots and shins sticky with mud, hands on his knees while he gasped for breath. Around him a swarm of octahedron hovered, spinning this way and that in a ring-orbit. The small devices, each about the size of a ping-pong ball, were constructed of wood and brass; Their internal mechanisms briefly visible as each of the eight panels expanded, contracted, or twisted to show thin lines of blue circuitry.

Valmont stood, swallowing deep breaths and turned to give his long-coat wearing white counterpart a nod. "Hey, not too late am I? Anybody hurt?" He scanned the fields below, trying to assess the situation with an inexperienced eye. "Still early, OK. I am... Way out of my element here." He half spoke to himself before returning his eyes to his wall companion. "You look like you know what you're doing. Here." He furled his brow in concentration and the octahedron shifted their orbit to snap into positions around @Cain Darlite. Opening like flowers they showered him with a wash of blue light, leaving a faint hexagonal pattern on his clothes that faded by the time the octahedron returned to their orbit around Valmont. "You'll probably get more use out of that than I would. Oh, uh, I'm Valmont by the way." He extended a friendly hand to the stranger.

Rael watched as both of her former teammates moved to take positions of their own upon the battlefield, left behind to wonder what to busy herself with other than relaying messages through the Comms' Channel as was needed. In fact, that is precisely what the pink-haired girl was doing - sending out a warning to everyone who could use their UI to keep them in the light regarding a previous encounter with a man intent on ending her life.

Wounds once magically mended began to reopen, staining her garments in her life essence as it seeped through her clothing and dripped down where she stood. An uncomfortable feeling, yet one she had been struggling with ever since she had gained those wounds on the previous day. Now, with a threat so great looming on the horizon, there was little time to consider her own well-being when so many things remained. So many preparations...

Wait, were those people setting up bombs?

Rael tore three pages of her grimoire, an incantation held within those pages that shone brightly as she went through the motions that defined her magic, touching her brush to the scripture so the form would mend and adequate itself to her ideal. From two of the pages, two miniature versions of the storyteller herself would appear, darting with purpose over to both @Aroda and @Ludmilla Orphys' side, intent on helping the women with their tasks.

Blood and metal.

To most, these did not mix. But Ludmilla begged to differ; she had been teasing the inkling that magical nourishment could theoretically be drawn from inorganic sources for a while now, experimenting with broken machinery around this region, but this...

The chaos, the terror, the bloodshed even before combat was joined, and the army of live machines waiting to raze Camp Hope into another graveyard. It was the perfect opportunity to slip in unnoticed and take her chance at proving that theory with functioning subjects.

If it worked, if Ludmilla could manage an effective extraction of magical essence from a magitech machine and have it satisfy her Origin Sin, then that meant a whole new world of possibilities would open to her. This experiment could change her life and living in Terrasphere entirely. Was it any wonder she was excited?

Darting about and gathering information on the particulars of the situation that she hadn't heard from the distress calls being sent all around the region, Ludmilla decided that it would indeed be prudent to incapacitate the prey before digging in. Somehow, this felt familiar.

Destroy. Consume. Rejoice.

As she marches onto the field, looking for an optimal space to deploy her own trapping spell, Ludmilla notices that several people are congregating around an area already and preparing the terrain. Heading over, she would find herself accompanied at the halfway mark by a self-proclaimed 'assistant' formed of pure magic. Some backline support, evidently.

Ambient lightning (@Vina Skysong) and buried explosives (@Aroda) in a single area. That gives Ludmilla an idea. Beckoning to the ephemeral 'assistant', Ludmilla points to where the other two Travelers are setting up their own traps, her other hand drawing out arcane symbols in the air and glimmering with astral light.

Hi miss! Can you stand over here for a bit?

She reaches out towards the magical facsimile, imprinting a spell upon @Rael's likeness on contact. The clashing fonts of magic produce a small ripple that quickly dissipates, but it is all Ludmilla needs to know that it was a success.

Yes! Okay, now go there. With those people. Just like that...and wait. When the big bad tank rolls over you...

Jumping about with perhaps a worrying amount of excitement at the fate she had consigned her 'assistant' to, Ludmilla breaks out in a self-satisfied bout of laughter. That spell had never been tested in the field before, but from Ludmilla's brimming eagerness...

You're going to go BOOM! BANG! HAHAHAHA!

...it would seem she had quite a lot to look forward to.

Hope in Danger!
Cycle 1

The red-headed knight stood alone in the horizon, casting his fluttering cape behind him as the camp defenders put their minds and muscles together to rig the battlefield with traps in preparation for the rumbling force that was heading toward with a singular objective. Elimination.
Levi’s finger wrapped firmly around the handle of his trusty sword and drew it one swift motion holding the pommel against his heart as he recited a spell.

Tyldr, patron of knighthood, grant me your sword and the strength to protect those under my charge. DEUS GLADIUS!

When Levi assumed a battle stance with his sword pointed at the approaching enemy, swords began to manifest around him, all spinning in place while pointing in the same direction. After his summoning, Levi turned his head around and shouted his command across the dusty battlefield.

Stick together, watch each other’s back! Taunters, push forward with me, my blades are with you!

· WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING ·

S K Y · L A N C E ❱

Before anyone had a chance to react and carry out their next move, the sky grew dark as the air turned rancid from the sudden charge of magic as a massive energy beam ripped across the battlefield and beelined toward the wall. The moment the beam smashed into the wall reinforced with Dragonship platings, a roaring magical flame exploded up, down, and sideways, which would have burned the wall-defenders with metal-melting heat had it not been for the wall shielding them. Where the beam struck still resulted in a massive explosion that dealt an unimaginable amount of damage.

Meriam, who was caught off-guard by the beam hitting near her, would have been incinerated had it not been for one of her pre-summoned companions generating a shield to protect her and the people around her before it was dusted in the blinding light.

Alistair!!!

The faerin could only mutter a half-scream before the explosion threw her off the wall. Fortunately for her, Meri’s somehow managed to grab onto a ledge at the front wall B7 amid her flailing.
The source of the Tank Buster then ascended from the horizon, towering over Levi and the other defenders as it approached them at full speed on six massive legs carrying that which was heavy enough to break the earth each time it stepped down. The Dragonship tank approached the group at top speed and with guns blazing. The sounds of bullets raining down on the obstacle in the path of the death machine was loud enough to deafen anyone standing in the field.

Meanwhile, the DEAD.naught was turning its side and the areas behind it into a burning hellscape like a cape fluttering in the winds behind it as if to signify that there was nowhere to run, that the death machine would crush hope once and for all.

Elevated Terrains (Yellow Area)

Yellow squares are elevated roughly 40 feet above the gray squares
  • Starting Area. All new players may start anywhere in rows 6 or 7 this cycle.
  • Movement. Moving from yellow to gray costs 1 movement and 10 HP (fall damage). Spend 2 movements to negate the damage.
  • Difficult Movement. Moving from gray to yellow costs 2 movements due to the vertical elevation.

Scorched (Pink)

All areas to the side and behind the DEAD.naught is burning with great intensity.
  • Burning. You may move into these areas, but it costs 10 HP per space you enter. Protect and Vulnerability applies to this damage.
  • Difficult Movement. It costs 2 movements to go through this super-heated area.

Wall (Orange Area)

This is where the majority of players can be found.
  • Starting Area. All new players may start anywhere in rows 6 or 7 this cycle.
  • Mounted Defense. There are 5 ballistae mounted along the stretch of the wall: A7, B7, C7, D7, E7
  • Defeat Condition. If the DEAD.naught reaches any of the orange area, the wall will be blown, the enemy forces will be deployed and will immediately capture the camp

Cycle 0's Damage Phase

Bullet Storm
  • Anyone who is in 2 rows directly in front of the DEAD.naught takes 30 damage.
Sky Lance
  • The wall takes 363+32 (explosion) = 395 damage (505/900).
  • With Taunters, Sky Lance will do less damage to the wall in the future as the enemy has to split its attacks a bit more.
  • Splash damage was negated due to the wall's defensive cover.
  • This splash damage is always applied before damage is done to the wall/gate.

  • This enemy gains extra movement based on its SP (see the DEAD.naught battle objective)
  • This enemy will always enter a space that has at least 2 Taunts, otherwise, the DM may choose where it moves to. After the required single movement, if the enemy has extra movements left, the DM may choose where it will go next.

Battle Objectives

Wall [ 505 / 900 ]

The wall represents a place of safety for defenders, granting perks depending on its health. Higher tier perks only apply after maintenance posts successfully increase its tier. Players don't lose when the wall HP goes to zero, but the wall will be irreparable and defenders will permanently lose access to the ballistae.

Perk Tiers.
  • T3 / 600-900 / 30 damage reduction / +30 heal bonus
  • T2 / 300 - 599 / 20 damage reduction / +20 heal bonus
  • T1 / 1 - 299 / 10 damage reduction / +10 heal bonus
  • T0 / 0 / 0 damage reduction / +0 heal bonus
(Perk) Cover.
  • The wall provides cover. While in the orange area, you take less damage for the cycle.
(Perk) Field Hospital.
  • Supports are focusing on healing the wounded. While in the orange area, you gain a bonus to Heal and Power Heal.
(DM Action) Wall Maintenance.
  • The wall is more than salvaged Dragonship platings slapped together to fortify the camp. It goes without saying that maintaining the wall involves more than just fixing the broken areas.
  • You must be in an orange space to do this action.
  • Make a Contribution Check (Expertise or Mastery - Any) and add that amount to the wall maintenance count. You're free to come up with how you're maintaining the wall or its personnel with your expertise or mastery.
  • Add | Wall Maintenance at the end of your rollcode.

Ballistae [ 0 / 5 used ]

There are 5 ballistae mounted on the wall, which can target the DEAD.naught regardless of its location.
  • You must be on A7, B7, C7, D7, or E7 to use them.
  • Each ballista may only be used once per cycle.
  • Ballistae cannot Taunt.
  • If the Wall goes down to 0 HP, you will permanently lose access to these weapons.

Traps

The purpose of the battle is to kill the DEAD.naught before it reaches the wall and finishes its invasion. It's a no-brainer that Levi and Norn would call for traps to be set up on the battlefield to slow the enemy down.

(DM Action) Prepare Trap.
  • This is a small group check to set up traps on any gray space on the map.
  • When the DEAD.naught enters a trapped area, it will immediately lose 650 SP.
  • Make a Mastery Check (Any - DC 50) OR Expertise Check (Any - DC 70) to help your group prepare a trap. You must be on a space to prepare the trap for it.
  • [ 3 ] Successes are needed to trap a specific gray space.

As she lent her hand in making for a miserable battlefield for the enemy, said enemy trampled forth and let loose a blast so awe-inspiring that the tigress's irises became mere dots in its wake as it collided with the wall of Camp Hope.

Welp, no time to make friends in the middle of a raid, right? After a moment of indecision on whether or not to keep her pain receptors on or not, she decided that given a secret facet of her build, she might be better off keeping them on. With an awkward wave goodbye to everyone nearby, she began to charge forth. Beneath her winter gear, her arms and legs morphed to consider her muscle somewhere between human and feline--though definitely more of the latter--as she began sprinting forward on all fours. She was going to be the first one to join up with the Lions Pride leader, even though she wasn't actually a lion or a Lion. Crazy, right?

As she finally got within pouncing range, she ran just a little closer on two legs now. Her claws sharpened, stiffened, and extended to become more like thick, black foot-long blades protruding from her fingertips. Then she finally leapt right at its footing and slammed into it as hard as she could with her claws. A loud reverberation of metal marked the force of her pounce as she pressed her boots against it and backflipped further away.

Taunting (762)

She landed on her feet as any respectable feline would and held her claws out, calling up to the metal menace. "DOWN HERE, ya oversized scratchin' post!"

Even as she examined all the blinding beam of magic flowing through the air at the magitech monster's arrival, and even as she felt bullets tear through her magic armor, she did little aside from wrinkle her nose just a bit and begin to gesture with her hands. A very simple conjuration: one more butterfly that was slightly bigger than those she'd crafted previously. With a firm toss, she sent the winged blast of magic forward, where after a long glide it exploded against the front of the DEAD.naught.

"And now we wait. Surely it won't be long now." She leaned back onto a summoned chair made of Arcanamancy, which floated just off the ground. She was going to get smacked one way or another. Might as well make herself easier to see for the thing she couldn't actually see in turn. Kind of ironic the more she thought about it.

Hanno glanced at @Moonsong, flashing a grin. "You got it right. Futaba, Hanno Futaba!" He introduced himself, despite her already knowing his name. "So your name is Moonsong? It is a pleasure to meet'cha. I didn't know your name, but I know some of your feats. You were there against the giant bug, right?" He asked.

"Thank you for being there. You helped me to save a dear friend." Hanno beamed before averting his sight to look forward to see the enemies approaching.

The incoming attack blowing the wall and sending bullets to their path, clashing against the group made the faerin take a more serious stance and expression, raising his shield protectively, as he winced at every impact he had to endure.

The general strategy seemed to be halting the enemy, and hurrying alongside with others, Hanno passed near Levi (@Raid Boss), "And so is my shield!" Hanno exclaimed, beaming a protective aura around his allies, before halting in front of the elevated terrain.

"Ghast!" Hanno called, and the shield rumbled with wide open eyes. "Let's groundbreak!" He said, slamming his shield on the ground with as much strength as he could muster.

The shield crackled, stretching its tentacles out underground and forcing part of it to open, trying to create ground obstacles on the path of the enemy.

Ronja rose her eyebrow at @Fiora Di Angelo's words. "You call near death experiences a date?" Ronja asked, finishing to set the last trap and letting out a sigh before starting to move on.

"Ronja supposes that time was a date then? Is that your kind of thing?" She asked, rushing to go to the next area, this time holding her rifle with both of her hands, being in a more combative stance.

The barrage of bullets caught her off guard for a moment, and she tried to force her magnetism to try and repel as many bullets as she could, scowling when some seemed to slip through her defenses.

"Ow! God, why!" She winced, rushing to roll behind a cover and resting a back behind it, watching a few scraps on her skin tight suit, along with some damage on her rifle. "Okay, Ronja won't stand for this!" Ronja pouted, and her suit shifted, with her more realistic features being taken over by more robotic ones.

❰ ULTRA MAGIA ❱

With her new form, Ronja's neck opened with a wire that plugged on her gun, and as soon as she took aim behind the cover, she began overcharging it.

The aim locked, triggering a sequence of high pitched bleeps before a bullet erupted from the gun's barrel, causing a recoil that sent Ronja rolling backwards.

Familiar faces and not so familiar faces had shown up either to help as they moved by or stick around for a bit longer, such as the woman who draped shadows upon Ronja's traps. Serviceable, despite how thin they had turned out to be given the space. When the beastfolk nodded at them, Fiora hit her back with a wink before turning her attention over to @Ronja Bubblyfoot once again.

"Near death would imply we barely made it out, and as far as I know I chopped robots into confetti." Confidence blooming from her smirk, only for Ronja to completely shatter it with one question that almost labelled her as a weirdo for her little joke, getting her cheeks flustered as she dropped a hand over her blade's hilt, still kept on it's sheath. "Hell no, you making it sound like I'm some freak whose into that kind of stuff." She retorted. "We could go for a picnic and still count it as a near death experience in Terrasphere, everything is out to kill you for some reason."

Pulling her blade out in one quick motion just as bullets begun to fly on their way, she focused on cutting down as many as she could on their path, but that just didn't stop them comin', and fragments were still just as dangerous if not worse. With each she got rid of, another one threatened to pierce through, and inevitably they did, forcing her to roll on Ronja's direction once the magia took cover from the hellspray infront of them.

"Just a few scratches, Hey Ron- Woah wait!" Her voice turned into breathless mumbles that scalated soon as she noticed; Eyes going wide open at the last lines before Ronja charged in, usually the kind she spits right before utterly annihilating whatever's infront of their path, and if her shift back into that strange android form wasn't enough of a tell, then the loud pitched bleeps would be, enough to get her back on her feet despite the bleeding.

Yet before she could react to it, a certain ashen warrioress showed up to safeguard them, and in exchange, @Moonsong would end right behind her as Fiora sprinted infront of her, blade pulled out entirely to deflect the next blow towards their designated tank. Except... Why is this uchigatana full of cracks? As if the steel were exchanged for glass instead, faulty equipment showing it's light on terrible craftsmanship from the smith she bought this from.

"Did you just dent my sword?"

Chrys just stared calmly as the enemy finally arrived, bombarding the wall with TONS OF DAMAGE. Hmm. He gave @Kamala Graham and @Ayna Nietzsche a knowing look before once again activating his Auric Geomancy to protect them both. Once he was satisfied with the thought that they would have a helping hand in their respective endeavors, he started to make his way forward, dropping to one knee at the end of the elevation closer to the enemy's direction, farther from the wall, and began setting up the trap. Easy.

Chrys was no genius when it came to traps and the like, but he found it surprisingly easy to set one up. Now all he needs are others who can help him do the rest of the work, though he found himself staring back out into the battlefield where Ayna would have most likely run into. Crazy girl. He smirked at the thought before suddenly wondering if maybe it was time for him to retire from this crap.

Ayna nodded back at Chrys before giving @Kamala Graham one final look. Here they were, all three of them, in the fight of their lives. The last time they tried to do this, the rest of their team was nowhere to be found and Kamala died. She loved her the most, but she one-upped her by dying first. Ayna can't have that.

"I'll catch you on the other side, loves!"

Like a flash of lightning, she was gone from their immediate company, already zooming straight into the battlefield, right at hell's gates. Catching sight of Levi, she smiled. So this is where heroes go to die, eh? She turned to @Hanno Futaba and @Ronja Bubblyfoot, greeting them with a playful smirk and an overly confident wink, a perfect combination for the final portrait of a dead woman.

"Hey! Love the weapons!"

With lightning coursing through her veins, she unleashed every spark that she could, becoming one with the element itself, before sending it toward the enemy while laughing maniacally. I should get my own show after this. Arcan- No, that's been done before, I think.
