As he then found out that his friend @Hanno Futaba had survived the blast, he felt so relieved that he passed out from his own wounds. But when he woke up again, he found himself in a pandemonium caused by the incessant attacks of the magia, that he instantly awoke from wherever he was lying at the moment even when his body was still beaten up. As he then moved around the area to know the current situation, he then saw a woman (@Alcea) who was trying to help defend other people from harm even though she was injured herself. But, as he then took a second look at her, he then remembered that person: she was also there during the blast, and he did not even acknowledged her presence there.

Realizing that he should do something so that he could repay her for what she had done, he then cast a wide-area healing spell so that she as well as everyone else within that area could heal her wounds. But as he then saw that the spell was not healing that much, he then concentrated more into his spell so that he could heal a lot more people by as much as he could. The situation here was really dire; he hoped by doing this, every person within reach could fight more effectively.

"Alright," The hare cracked her neck, stretching out her limbs as she prepared for combat, before an excited glint crossed Toko’s eyes as she gazed back at @Chrys with a grin. "Let’s get this party started, shall we?"

A forceful stomp caused the ground beneath their feet to quake and crumble as jagged pillars of stone sprouted from its depths. They cracked and crumbled, their surfaces shimmering lightly before the pieces began hovering around them—defying the laws of physics as their range expanded, causing their robotic opponents to begin falling backwards or be slammed and crushed against the whirling weight of the objects.

"Yaroohdomo, junbi ii!!!"
Taunting (696)

Her voice rang loud and clear through the spacious arena, a full blown and toothy smirk pulling at the fighter’s lips as her eyes roved over their opponents. Muscles tensed as Toko prepared to launch herself against the milling throng of droids, determined to forcefully carve a way out of this arena as she’d promised her fellow Starcalled, before faint vibrations under her feet caused the hare to pause and look downwards. The earth crumbled as it gave way for a burrow-like entrance, a tiny nose quivering in the air before the small head of a white rabbit poked out of it.

"Go on, Usagi-chan, this isn’t a place you want to be at—oh! " Her initial reaction had been to try and shoo the @Inari little critter away, not wishing to see any harm befall it for being at the wrong place and time, until it tapped her finger with its nose and resonated with the dormant spirit inside of the fighter’s mind. "Sooh ka..."

This wasn’t just a cute and lost lil’ bunny, no… this familiar was a force to be reckoned with. A now was given to the small creature as the rest of its small body finally surfaced, the glint in its red eyes mirroring the one in Toko’s own crimson gaze. "Ikooh yo, Usagi-chan!" Her fists pounded together just as a burst of pale golden aura enveloped the hare and its small companion, feeling the restless stirring of the spirit within her, as a pair of antlers with silver inlay sprouted on the lepus’ forehead.

She rushed forth then, zero hesitation found in Toko’s steps as the hare tore right through the mass of steel bodies head on. Anything standing in her way was quickly shoved away with steady punches and sweeping kicks, and when a droid attempted to flank the fighter it was met with a swift and deadly surprise as the small rabbit leapt right for its neck.

A burning sensation began to spread across her arms and legs, the familiar signs of exhaustion beginning to settle in, before Toko forced them out of her mind as she focused on the multitude of enemies her eyes could see instead. A burst of ki and spiritual energy escaped the hare then, pushing back her opponents and giving Toko some breathing room, before a wild grin was tossed at her opponents as she beckoned them to step forth.

"Kakatte koi yoh!!!"

Even in the heat of battle, her mind wandered elsewhere. It's during the calm before the storm as they prepare to go out. A pink-haired elf she knew as @Rael unwittingly grabbed her hand tightly, before she looked at the blue-haired woman and realized she didn't know her. She actually did, but not in this form.

"Ah… Oh, goodness, forgive me. I thought you were… Someone else."

"No worries."
It's natural, people are dying. Be it landers or players, they have their own lives. But there was also something different in the elf's eyes. Uncertainty? Something about the magia?

Weird.

The alliance had made significant progress pushing through, and Lune remained unscathed. The weapon known as God Searing Light already fired several times, wiping out the majority of their assault team, forcing the others to proceed carefully.

Among the survivors currently continuing to advance and help others, she stumbled on one familiar faerin who taught her a lot about protection and defense. Of course, he was still risking himself protecting others in this situation.

Corvella would be proud.

"Hey, watch your back, hero," She created a wall of graviton force to block the attacks from the front, while @Hanno Futaba was busy preventing more casualties.

"...Mrow..."

Harper let out a uncharateristic sound as @Luthien headpat her head, the tigress shaking her head as she moved away from the dark elf, her ears flopping sideways. "T-Thanks for the healing, but drop the petting. It feels weird." She couldn't deny that it didn't feel bad by any means, but she still didn't really feel that comfortable with the concept of purring like a house cat. She was a goddamn tiger, dammit!

Thankfully Harper wouldn't have to dwell on those feelings for long as the God-Searing Light rained hellfire down upon them. And even though she was on the luckier side as she didn't get hit by it, the heat she felt was more than enough to leave her on edge. That thing was trouble. To add to it, now Szofrid herself was messing with their already messy UI, giving the tigress a bonafide headache from all the glitching and shifting visuals.

"Ugh, I swear to god I'm gonna shove my claws so far up her ar-!"

And then, the golden child appeared in her sight, calling for their help. Someone she was very familiar with from her brawl against The Calculator. And while her bond with her wasn't nearly as deep as with Ronja, it was still someone she knew that the Magia Leader was hurting. And that needed to stop. It was clear that playing catchup to the dissonant queen wasn't a working strategy, so they needed to go into the offensive.

Harper needed to go into the offensive.

Looking back at Luthien, @Yugam and @Ash Vargold , she walked towards two large pieces of metallic debris from a fallen siege weapon, both quite a bit larger than the beastkin.
"Dunno about you guys, but I'm beyond tired of waiting to see who that bitch hurt next so I can be mad about it." Unsheathing her claws, she pressed her hands at the debris for a moment before the pair could hear the sound of hard metal crunching and twisting as the tiger dig her claws into them, lifting them up afterwards as the debris now looked like a pair of makeshift riot shields in her hands.

"I'm not gonna wait a single more second. I'm carving a path straight through to Queen Bitch herself, like I'm a goddamn bulldozer! There ain't a damn thing out there that can face me head-on, so all you guys need to do is keep anyone from trying to get a piece of my furry arse and we'll get there in no time. Okay? OKAY!"

Harper shouted in a commanding tone, before turning towards the enemy forces as she kept a small space between the two debris she was carrying so she could see where she was going. There was no need for complicated planning. She was going to charge forward, and woe be upon those in the way of the Tigress.

Tick wanted to see this until the end, and so be it. Eva turned to both @Rael and @Asher, who helped her snap the white-haired magia back out of this Szofrit's control. "Thank you, but we are still far from finished, yet."

She then referenced the phenomenon happening to all player magia, and the earlier message about the possibility that the enemy leader was actually also controlled beyond her will. "If we truly want to know what actually happened, there's no other way than to push forward."

The inventor was healed back a bit, to the point that she was almost back to normal, albeit without the function of her right eye, rendering her unable to aim. "I can help cover for our people while they push, and we should move forward, too." Her pistols merged into one weapon, highly reminiscent of a modern revolver grenade launcher. "Let's go," Eva nodded.

Moving out of her cover, the woman quickly fired multiple grenades all over the vast battlefield, deploying smoke and chaff grenades meant to block enemy vision, sentries, and weaponry from locking into the forward team's position.

Just as him and @Attia Patal were finishing recovering from the wolf attack, a horde of constructs charged in, forcing Hanno to raise his shield protectively to try and recover a stance-- But thankfully, @Lune stepped in, being quick to shield them from harm.

"Hey there, thank ya, buddy! Even heroes needs heroes to themselves sometimes." Hanno smirked, pausing for a moment as he kept his eyes on her, lingering for a moment.

Strange, she felt so familiar.

He shook his head, forcing his attention forward, at the horde of enemies they still had to face until they got to Szofrit, to open path to the true final battle of that chaos, only for him to be interrupted by a flickering figure appearing in his faulty UI Menu.

[ Hh--\\ Hh \\--Hh--elp--!! ]

"... Help..?" He muttered, frowning his lips.

"I don't know who you are, but hang in there, buddy." Hanno spoke, scowling at the distorted sight of the Golden Egg, while Ghast approached him and swayed her tentacles. "Who is this~?" She inquired, peering into Hanno's UI.

"What are you..." Hanno blinked, widening his eyes for a moment. Ghast... She could see it? She could notice his UI? Strange... But it didn't matter now. "... It is someone that needs help. And we are going to help." He said, resolute as he marched forward, lifting his shield as he forced his path through, trampling any obstacle, animated or not, in his path.

"Attia, things are going to get really serious now!" Hanno said, doing everything within his reach to shield the spearwoman. He was going to be her shield, and he expected her to be his spear, as they were already used to, by now.

Finally meeting the front line, he casted a glance at @Ash Vargold and @Ueno Mizuki- Speeding up, and trying to drag the enemy's attention with a threatening roar and aura, hoping to give them the opening and protection they needed to keep attacking the magia's army.

"...Mrow..." The unexpected purr from the tigress had caused Lúthien’s eyes to widen, a soft chuckle escaping the girl once she noticed the adorable and flustered look on @Harper‘s face, before the ranger nodded softly in response. "Alright alright, won't do it again… unless you ask for it~"

It was a small but welcomed break from all the chaos that reigned around them, and soon enough the small party began to move around the outskirts of the battlefield, looking for an advantageous position that wouldn’t overwhelm the mental network that Lúthien worked so hard to keep active. A persistent humming had kept the ranger on edge and alert—Ronja’s surprises having left a lasting impression on the elf—and when it suddenly halted Lúthien wasted no time to toss a protective astral barrier around them just as a blinding light engulfed the space.

The heat buffeted against it before shattering the thin cover, but it had been enough to mitigate any incoming damage for the small group. "The fuck was thatSzofrit!" She had a few choice words for the magia that hacked into their UI, though that was soon forgotten when a familiar voice echoed within her mind.

"Emm?!" A quick look was given to @Yugam and @Harper as the blonde recognized the brief visual of the golden key child, before the emotions of a certain caenis seeped into her mind as @Vargold stepped into Lúthien’s network range. He also remembered M&M from the unexpected simulation they had been treated to in Vintergard, but any talks on the matter were abruptly halted as an unexpected UI message intruded their conversations before being swiftly dealt with.

"Harper, wait!" It was clear the tigress was itching to go, and while Lúthien admired the woman’s confidence she couldn’t help but worry over the felis’ safety… not to mention that simply bulldozing headlong into such a massive throng of allies and enemies alike would undoubtedly strain her network to the limit… if it didn’t broke it off entirely. "Maybe we can find another point of entry, one that won’t be as obvious and give us the surprise drop on Szofrit?"

"...You are a good mother. Keep close, and keep each other safe."

Only in Terrasphere would mother and daughter reunite like this. Or so it seemed to an outsider's eye.

In the wake of the team's efforts to restore Tick Tock to her senses, Asher and Rael had retreated behind the pair in order to safeguard them, should they wish to leave. However, the two of them, with renewed strength and perhaps a renewed spirit, decided against the safer idea of the two, daring to place their chances upon the spinning roulette of fate.

[ Hh--\\ Hh \\--Hh--elp--!! ]

A vision flashed right before her eyes as she clung onto Asher, who had offered to carry her. The corner of her mouth twitched, but to one that had become indifferent, numb to the emotions of the collective in order to reach her goal, it spoke of their urgency to act.

"We don't have much time... We'll see you on the other side!" Rael let his spirit envelop her as it had done the Magia they just rescued, and together they ran off further into this hell of their own making, desperately seeking those who might be in need of their help.

Her one consolation, perhaps, was just how he kept talking to her throughout it all.

"You should become a Lion."

"If your Commander were to hear you speak, he would have you demoted. Have I told you that story?"

"You'd make a good Lion."

"...Wouldn't that be funny if it were true. But it remains to be seen if I'll even be welcomed anywhere once this is all..."

"Ah!"
Her world erupted in mixtures of odd odors and shards of glass as they collided against the side of her head, knocking her right out of Asher's grasp and flat on her arse before she could continue what she was saying.

But she never fully reached the ground, her fall prevented by the fluttering of hundreds upon hundreds of white, glimmering butterflies. Instead, she looked around to see who might've been responsible for the accident, and in doing so, her eyes met those of Imoogi.

Regardless of their previous experiences with one another, Rael rushed forward, merely stopped by the broken vials and shards which surrounded her, vials the girl on the floor reached for, seeking a cure for her ailments. A butterfly flew over Imoogi then, landing on the bridge of her nose where its glow disassembled into its purest form of energy and merged with her skin, granting her reprieve from what was afflicting her.

"Can you move?"

The swarm of butterflies took flight, dispersing across the corruption-laden skies in their search of another in equal need of help, landing on the shoulder of the wind stride of @Aerial, her visage close to a redheaded figure she swore she knew...

We can't get through this without getting hurt. (She answered @Fina Drago's words.) But that doesn't mean we can't walk away from this alive! I can't stop you, but try to come back so I can heal you~

The feline armsmaster was too strong-headed to be deterred, so the only thing Vina could do was be ready to heal and support her friend all the way, making sure that the silver-haired warrior survived her own courage. As such, she was left watching Fina from behind, making sure never to lose sight of her friend.

As Vina played her violin, attempting to invigorate all those who fought against the unending tied of corrupted machines, it was only pure chance that saved her from getting interrupted by a bottle of mysterious liquid that was flying towards her. If things had remained as they were the vixen's performance would have been halted by her getting conked in the head by the glass container, but as she stepped backwards to better align her movements with the winds around her the bottle flew overhead and struck the ground instead, through some miracle left whole despite being embedded into the soft loam.

Curious as Vina was about this sudden apparition, she couldn't afford to stop playing. And while she was quite skilled in moving her tail she couldn't actually use it as another hand. Fortunately, she had other tools available to her.

As she kept playing a soft green glow travelled down her spine, spiralling around one leg before disappearing into the ground. After several seconds a single green vine sprouted from the ground, pushing the bottle up and wrapping around it to lift it into the air. Vina frowned in concentration as she tried to dexterously control the vine at the same time that her hands kept working the violin, finally managing to use the plant's assistance to drink @Imoogi's strange concoction.

The effect was immediate, the vixen blinking and faltering. The potion had such a fresh taste that it stung her tongue, but even as she coughed an alertness filled her that made her fingers move with increased sharpness, the brief pause followed up by a smooth melody without the slightest tremor.

The light that wrapped around her was unfamiliar, but as Vina turned her head to follow the brilliant glow to its source she recognised it as belonging to another feline friend of hers. She hadn't known that Luna was here, but she was quite grateful that the tigress was taking part: another person who knew the importance of making sure as many people made it out of here alive as possible. With some difficulty she conjured another wind whisper, sending it to the woman with the striped hair.

I wish you didn't have to risk yourself here, but I'm glad that you're helping us. Do try to be careful, okay~?

Hope Never Dies (Help)

Critical Success

Another consciousness slipped into her network then, her attention suddenly dragged away from her friends and the conversation at hand as a presence made itself known. The voice that echoed within her mind, although broken and strained, was unmistakable for her senses and it caused Lúthien’s eyes to snap towards the frontline… and further beyond. "Emm…!"

That single connection suddenly cleared the dense and heavy fog inside her brain as the ranger realized she no longer strained to keep the mental comms up and running—or struggled to keep the emotions of others from overwhelming her own—as the headache assaulting her senses dissipated in a single breath. They called out to her once more, the words distorted and hard to make out, but their plea for help and the emotions behind their message were clear as day for the dreamwalker.

"There’s a path…?" She whispered, as if uttering the words out loud would help her mind understand, before a wide grin suddenly spread on Lúthien’s lips as she turned to look at the assembled party. "Guys, there’s a path! We can reach Szofrit… we can reach Emm!!!"

Her eyes scanned over the clashing ocean of flesh and steel as Starcalled and Landers alike warred against the machines, her chest tightening as Lúthien sought out a particular blue-haired woman but failed to find her. ... you better stay safe, Dee! Hands balled into tight fists, the blunt ends of her nails managing to pressure her palm even through the leather gloves Lúthien wore, before the ranger steeled her resolve as she turned to the others.

"There’s no time to explain," She said as her gaze swept through each of those present, starting with @Yugam and @Ash Vargold before shifting to @Rael and @Asher. A part of her wouldn’t blame any of them if they suddenly thought the elven girl had finally snapped and lost her mind, she could only hope they were willing enough to listen and entertain this reckless plan.

"You’ll have to trust me—us—but there’s a way across this warzone!" Her gaze settled on @Harper then, offering the tigress a grin as a hand reached out to firmly grasp the eager felis’ on her shoulder. "And if anyone tries to block our path you’ll give them hell, right Harper~?"

Another laser seared into the starcalled's ranks. Morale faltered further. Despair eagerly awaited its moment to strike. They needed to press forward, gaining some sort of positive momentum, before the entire army shattered.

From the hellscape, an ethereal swarm of butterflies emerged. Little beacons of light - of hope. A few of the shimmering butterflies landed on her shoulder. Their gentle touch healed wounds and exhaustion. The brief respite allowed Aerial to focus forward without aches and pains slowing her down or hindering her movements.

Lance still wedged into the earth, Aerial used the pole like an acrobatic gymnast. Air currents and gravity manipulation helped to keep her afloat as she gained an eagle's eye view of the field. Which target would provide the most value? The woman could only make an educated guess before pulling a Zeus on her target.

Damn. She wished she could target the actual God-Searing Light: the foul machine that claimed her first life and nearly killed her rowdy but loyal magisteed.

"You want to what?

Ash turned away from @Luthien and her attempts to get a message out and gave @Harper a look of disbelief. "Wait, we should be careful about pushing too far ahead-"

"Guys, there's a path! We can reach Szofrit… we can reach Emm!!!"

Ash frowned, one ear turned towards Luthien while he kept his attention on the battlefield. "What do you mean, Luthien?" He knew she'd picked up information from unusual sources before - the situation at Camp Hope had proved that. But she wasn't asleep now, and things were way more dire.

"There's no time to explain. You'll have to trust me—us—but there's a way across this warzone!"

Did he trust her?
Would he be here if he didn't?

Ash stiffened, then spun away from Luthien. Standing still like this made them a tempting target, and someone had taken notice. A stab of soul-deep pain scraped through his thoughts as he lashed out at the attacking magia, tangling it with spectral arms that sought out its core.

He was flagging, unused to dealing with exhaustion on such a visceral level, and every drop of power he borrowed sapped his strength as much as his opponents. They needed to finish this, one way or another.

"...how about you explain on the way?" he finally said, drawing his sword with a sharp inhale. "I'll watch our backs."

The second strike from the God Searing Light was less severe than the first, but still it caused men and women alike to falter in the face of such annihilating power. However, enough people were still standing that the assault had yet to come to an end.

Amusingly enough, Mizuki being all the way in the front meant that she was barely affected by the blast. Surrounded by machines the divine weapon had higher priorities, larger groups of Travelers and allies to evaporate. The luna wolf was forging her own path forward, ducking and weaving as she struck with fangs and claws to break the machines without killing them. How many of them could still be saved she didn't know, but now that she'd set herself upon the path of the altruist she might as well keep as many opportunities open.

Not to mention, that voice that had briefly resounded after Szofrit's taunting... Mizuki had been curious about the Golden Child back when that Calculator business was taken care of, but it seemed the real deal was requiring their assistance. A snarl adorned her expression as she jumped over a magia and kicked it against the ground. One more person she'd have to do her best to protect in all of this.

During a brief respite she looked back, seeing that others were also furiously pushing themselves forward, endangering themselves in the process. A silver-haired feline was using a veritable forest of arcane weapons to cut, stab, and smash everything in her path in an erratic dance. Zelrius, as usual, was unleashing sword and flame, wielding humanity's weapons to tear apart their enemies. Further in the back a golden-haired human was pouring every ounce of his stamina into healing the wounded, leaving himself exposed in the process.

The fact that the God Searing Light had killed and injured so many of their allies was unfortunate, but Mizuki could at least see a way to make use of that misfortune.

Hanno's roar kept the magia busy for now, turning their eyes away from the luna wolf. Raising one hand she narrowed her mismatched eyes as she focused, feeling her own heart pounding in her chest as she called upon the blood of the fallen. The red puddles and streaks that dirtied the ground stirred, then began to move, forming tendrils that slithered across the ground like countless sanguine snakes. Reaching Mizuki's targets they wrapped themselves around their limbs and torsos, expanding into protective layers of crimson bark. Even if their recklessness resulted in them being attacked, the wood of trees nourished with the dead would guard them.

Ayna winced as the steel fangs of the bear trap dug deep into her legs. It was so painful, she stumbled for a bit and had to stop moving, and stay still, on the ground next to the contraption. Enraged at being caught like a weak animal, she tried to free herself but to no avail. She was too annoyed, too cluttered in the head, and the pain was an effective distraction, to make any progress. Fortunately for her, as was always the case when they were together, @Kamala Graham had her back.

"Thank you, Kamala... Are you all right?"

Turning toward @Chrys, she gave him a nod of gratitude, though no words were spared. A second burst of that horrifying light interrupted the moment, and Ayna knew she had to run back into the fray. Brandishing her spear despite the lingering pain, a souvenir from the trap, She gave both of her friends one final look before rushing into battle, using her spear to deliver her lightning's wrath, though with Kamala watching, she could only shock their enemies into submission, into unconsciousness. Perhaps her finite rage was already and only reserved for Szofrit. Perhaps this was just all she could muster now.

Protected by Asher, Vulnerable

Harper wasn't entirely surprised that both Ash and Luthien had some reservation with her plan, even she knew it was definitely on the crazier side. But she couldn't deny herself any longer. Her heart had already been set ablaze due to what happened to Ronja, Emmy also being in danger was just further fuel to the pire. And she couldn't possibly just wait for Szofrid to show up anymore, nor could she just hope someone would eventually break through the hell in the frontlines and open a path for them.

It was up to them to do it. To her.

She was ready to just keep insisting on her idea, watching as @Asher and @Rael joined up with them, before the dark elf who was just now trying to advocate for another course of action seemed to suddenly change her mind, now shouting that there was indeed a way through the magia forces. And while Harper was happy that she had come around to it, she was a bit confused by what @Luthien really was seeing.

To the tigress, the battlefield really hadn't changed at all since she picked up those debris. Then again, she was peeping through a pretty small peephole between those things, so what did she really know. And having someone to guide her through danger when her visibility was compromised was very welcome.

And there wouldn't be a better time either, the tigress knowing it was prudent to rush through before the God Searing Light fired upon them again. As she put a hand on her shoulder, Harper looked back at her with a grin, showing off her fangs. "Ever watched a rally race, Luthien? 'Cause you sound like you want to be a navigator right now."

Banging the bottom of the debris on the ground a few times, she let out a hearty laugh. "Well, its better than going in blind for sure! So just keep telling me what path you have in that pretty little head of yours, and I'll carve it upon the battlefield!" Turning towards the battlefield, she would take another deep breath to help herself focus, before lifting the debris she was carrying and shouting to anyone who could hear.

"LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

And thus, the Tigress's March started. Putting the debris in front of her, she would start to rush forwards, only willing to change direction if prompted so by the dark elf. If not, there wasn't anything that would deviate her from her path. Magia would get trampled, siege weapons would get overran. And those behind her would be kept safe from harm, Harper making sure to throw herself in front of anything that might threaten them.
Nothing short of godly intervention would stop the beastkin, or at least she thought that to be the case. And if it depended on her will, this charge wouldn't end until they arrived at their destination.

Szofrid. Harper wouldn't forgive herself if she didn't get to personally smash her face in.

Lilith quickly realized how agonizing getting struck in Terrasphere truly felt. Without a limiter, just a few cuts had her sweating and crying her eyes out. It wasn't a new experience, but she forgot how bad pain really is.

It froze her on spot hard enough that @Aalam Abungu had no problem to keep her still, despite how her bloody hand trembled at the loss of 4 fingers with only her thumb left intact. She wanted to lash out as soon as he begun to pour that sap onto the flesh wounds, and her fingers attached themselves, kept on spot with the makeshift glove made out of nature itself.

"FUCK!" She gasped under her breath, the burning sensation didn't give up on her, but the death knight managed a smile back to the archer himself. "I'm lucky to have handsome musketeers ready for a damsel in distress." She weakly replied, lacking in her charms of usual, but with confidence enough to let the man know she would pull her weight.

Lilith switched grips for her sword and instead rushed deeper into the fray. Left-handed she was not, but she made do with brutal magic aiding her edge alignment, in her chase to reach after @Inari herself, who seemed to be having a very hot experience with the game, only not the kind she wanted to be part of any time soon.

"Inny!" She called out. Droplets begun to rain down her arm, the liquid reached down her fingertips...

Droplets?

Blood. Her own hemomancy begun to bleed her out as her emotions begun to pile up. The excitement of the battle, and the misuse of adrenaline inducement...

She was not skilled enough, and forbidden magic, when misused, proved most lethal.

Lilith pressed the tip of her blade against the ground, using it to balance herself. Dizzyness took over, and she could swear something piled up within her throat and wished to push past her lips.

Blood...

"Ugh, Inny, I changed my-my mind... leave richboy for a moment." Her voice died off, her powers had gone rampart, and she had lost control on their effects. The harder she tried to, the more her spellcasting slipped, the more she panicked.

Vulnerable Negated by Ludmilla's Protect

He didn't have an arm. He didn't have an arm.

Somehow he registered no pain. Though he knew that strips of tattered flesh dangled from his shoulder and blood poured from it like a waterfall, he felt nothing. Not the mangling of his bones, the rending of his flesh as the creature that (was? is? used to be?) @Ludmilla Orphys's feasted.

At this moment he did not feel as though any part of his body belonged to him. Least of all the wriggling strand of flesh that oozed into the open socket of his shoulder, sending jolts of heat and nameless sensation running through his chest. The flesh coiled and braided into a hand, and fingers, and fingers, and fingers. Dazedly, he tried to move it; it bent at some unseen elbow that was a few inches too high up, and the sinewy seven-fingered hand rotated almost 360 degrees on whatever wrist it was attached to.

The outside began to harden, as if being coated in plaster. Bone, chitin, cartilage, and keratin marbled together. By the time the process had completed, the arm was a mottled bone-white and black and red--the same color as his horns--rough to the touch in some places and unnervingly smooth in others.

It moved. Without Langley's say-so, his new arm darted up in front of his face, catching a bullet that would have pierced him through the temple. He heard a noise not unlike shattering glass, and saw a hole in the palm where the twisted metal sat in a burbling mass of non-bleeding flesh. After a few seconds the reforming flesh pushed the remnants of the bullet out, and the bony plating reformed over the hole. He felt no pain.

But the arm was not done. An enemy magia had fired the bullet at him, and suddenly Langley felt an insistent pulling, as if the arm was a leash tugging him towards the magia. He didn't manage to resist, and so his halting steps led him closer and closer again. Though the magia fired at him again and again, the arm swatted them all away. And when he at last reached the magia, the fingers of that arm spiraled around each other to a deadly sharp point, aimed right for the magia's chest.

The arm knew there was something fleshy and organic-warm within the magia's artificial exterior. Like seeks like.

And so without regard for the rest of him, or anything else that might have been happening around him, Langley drove the arm into magia's chest. And again. And again.

Attia flailed futily, fury rising in her chest. This was the absolute worst kind of situation. Was she expected to just lay down and die here? The jostling sent her head spinning and her frankly pathetic armor did little to protect her from each movement. She cried out in pain and tried to push against the jaws of the creature only for it to stumble. She gasped, that clearly wasn't caused by her efforts. She whipped her head towards the rear of the beast and was shocked to see Hanno rushing in her direction. Her lips thinned for just a moment, this idiot. Now she owed him twice over. She swore inwardly only for her body to be jostled again as the wolf was slowed even further by the tentacles.

Just as she was about to try to pry herself free again, Hanno leaped onto the side of the wolf and with a titanic effort wrenched the jaws of the creature open, tearing the frame, and yanking her out of the creature's maw. She gasped as she hit the ground on her hands and knees, panting as Hanno started delivering blows. She stared at the ground and the flecks of blood from her gut. Her rage built to a fever pitch. These damn abominations, first they sully her paradise and now they sullied her?! The gall! She glanced over at her starter spear and with a feverish movement swapped it out from her inventory for a different weapon.

[Bandit Captain's Bardiche]
Weapon Grade: D

She fixed her pained expression into one of ruthless serenity. She didn't have enough control to put up the mask of pleasant calm anymore. Instead, even as her hair flowed around her and her expression was relaxed, her eyes blazed with implacable purpose. Killing intent boiling in her beastfolk blood roiled out in a wave as the wings on her shoulders flared, she whipped her arm up and back, driving a long gash across the throat of the magitech horror. It collapsed in a heap and she let her weapon relax at her side, her breath coming in heaves.

"I don't now... whether to... thank you... or scold you... you reckless..." She gasped, and then smiled, this time not even forcing it, "Thank you Hanno."

Maybe there were some people out there that deserved better than her games. She exhaled and looked away just as a flare of light from an unseen healer washed over her. She gasped and looked down at her fingers and gut. That tore it, she needed a party of her own.

When Hanno resumed his focus she moved alongside him, slashing at enemies while he kept their defenses up. Just as he did so he paused and seemed to get some kind of message. Her eyes narrowed when he heard him speak with his strange little companion. Her lips thinned. Were they going to go help someone else in all this chaos? Shouldn't they be focusing on the objective? Having already set aside Hanno's rescue of her as a matter of course, she had no intention of putting her own life at risk for someone-

Then he shouted his intent, throwing his everything into shielding her. She blinked at him like he was insane. This... moron! Fine! She'd play along a little longer! This counted as paying him back for the rescue though, she consoled herself, and rushed to keep up with him, occasionally having to flap her wings to shorten the gap. It was getting easier to use them for speed. As she did so she dug deep once more, drawing out the power of [Hymn No.3 Minor Restoration] and casting it wide, targeting the soul that had helped her earlier, herself, and Hanno. When she did so, her [Hymnal Endowment] passive triggered, enabling an overheal effect.

She threw herself into the battle, if she was going to do this, she was going all in damn it!

While the others focused on the pair, Valmont had quietly slipped away into the chaos of the battlefield in pursuit of his instructions to, “Get on damage control.” At least those were the excuses he gave. The reality of the situation was that the girl’s cries for her mother struck him at his core and he couldn’t stand to be near them any longer. Dark visions played across his mind as he departed. At first it was a simple walk but before long he was scrambling and tripping over every hazard in his way. His heart beat like a drum in his ears. His breath came in short gasps. It was everything he could do to maintain a semblance of self control.

He hated it. This world, that did these things to just normal people. This world that twisted and tainted every relationship. This world, that ruined his life. But there were people here that needed him. Maybe not him specifically, but those like him. Those who would focus more on helping others, and keeping people alive, rather than themselves. Killing is easy, it’s living that’s hard.

The blinding force of the God Searing light struck once more, pushing him down to his hands and knees. He cried out in pain as it pushed through his defenses without even struggling.

Stopping, he pulled out the large core he’d acquired at the Armory. A device meant to be a force of death and destruction. Now it would be repurposed. With a liberal application of Arcanamancy he reformed the device into a new order of Octahedron. He would have to come up with a name for this new category of construct, but for now he didn’t have time. O-Mk II would have to suffice.

Along his new path he came across another band of combatants. There he saw one faltering, blood cascading down her frame. He didn’t know enough about magic or medicine to know what was wrong, but he knew how to fix it. A thought. A call of power. He pulled on the energy humming within the core and sent the beach-ball sized construct off to hover near Lillith.

Valmont approached a moment later. “Be at ease.” He said, reassuringly, a heartbeat before throwing the brunt of his new power at her. The green light of the magitech core turned first blue, then orange. Arcs of light firing out of the lens and washing over the woman. They healed her wounds, before it turned and redirected the second source of energy to drape a Shield over Jin.

"♫ ♫ ♯𝅘𝅥𝅮"

Cadmean hummed as she strolled through the battlefield. She kept her head angled high, her galaxy-dotted gaze piercing through the clouded sky to fixate on the distant light of the stars beyond. Starlight traced out paths invisible to the naked eye, and simply following along the road led to safe passage through an increasingly chaotic battlefield. Thus Cadmean remained untouched and unsullied even as devastation blossomed around her.

Few people had the benefit of such guidance. All around her, she could see people straying from the path of the stars, leaving themselves in precarious or even actively dangerous positions. The stars were merciful, however, and thus so was she. She would illuminate for them a path to safety.

Standing back, well away from the thick of the fighting, Cadmean extended her gaze further. The stars illuminated three individuals in particular: a pale-haired woman hovering off the ground (@Aerial), another woman with furry ears who had the brilliant glow of fresh magic still hovering around her (@Inari), and a speeding blur of a man racing to strike (@Schilva Flasch).

Raising her hands to the sky, Cadmean called down the stars. Near the feet of her three targets, a bright golden spark drifted to the ground, emitting no heat. A few steps away another would fall, and a third, and a fourth. Golden light connected the fallen stars, drawing a path that would lead each person to a safer area of the battlefield.

As Cadmean worked, she herself began to glow as well, bright enough that her own eyes began to water. She kept them open, even as she burned even brighter still. The searing radiance was enough to blind anything that looked her way, sending a stabbing pain through their eyes.
