Personality
Elise is one of the first people to jump into action if a friend is seemingly in danger. Whether that be emotional or physical, and it's gotten her in trouble on more than one occasion. But she'd never stop even if she wanted. She's the type of girl that when she gets knocked on her ass, she'll get back up as many times as it takes. Though she doesn't defend herself as fiercely as she does others. And she's liable to denying compliments, even when they are repeatedly given.
She tries to be careful, thinking things through, but she's also one to improvise quite quickly when things don't go to plan. Which leads to many, many, many mistakes being made if at the wrong time.

Background
Elise had a simple child hood up until she was 7, when her mother died of a disease that seemingly had no cure. They lived what little time they had left caring as much as they could for one another. When mother finally passed, Elise's father did his best to teach her to look for the good in life, to push on and pursue her passions. He was the one who taught her of the world of gaming, even got her some basic gaming things. A computer that would run an MMO that he played alongside her.
But even he was not spared. As three years after her mother died, Elise's father would die as well, seemingly of natural causes.
Now Elise was thrown to the foster system. Where she would remain to be tossed from family who didn't want her to family that wanted nothing to do with her. Families that wished for nothing but the paycheck at the end of the day. Elise retreated into her father's hobby. For 5 years of her life, she was in foster care, being tossed around the system over and over. Never having a consistent home for more than a year.
Until one day, a foster family had taken her in, and they were apparently nice. But she was withdrawn and closed off to them for a time. She hid in her internet chat rooms with friends away from the world that had taken her parents from her, and then treated her so poorly. But as she stayed with this family, she began to warm up to them. She wasn't blamed for any financial failings. Or any messes made by other kids. She was encouraged to chase her passions once again, instead of being told to be quiet. New technology was bought for her and others. She began to expand beyond just gaming and into art and history, researching and getting lost in worlds she explored in her dreams. Though her art skill was lacking she'd still try it here and there while her writing slowly improved over time.
As she aged, she ended up having a group of friends that she stuck with time and time again as they moved from game to game. Though her father's MMO had long since shut down, she still enjoyed playing with these people from across the world. She even began to pick up on their writing quirks and other such things.
Of course, one day she'd run across a blog that felt quite familiar in writing style, about a game she knew nothing about. It almost sounded fake with the laws of this land and whatnot. Nothing but a fanfiction, yeah? Well, she can probably write to her friend about it at some point. Of course, not long after she found the blog, she also got an email regarding that same game. But... She'd best not click on that just yet. Maybe wait a bit. But, it was quite tempting, and she was the curious sort.
