Arcia. The world felt familiar, although Kyra couldn't say why. Somehow, this world felt like somewhere she had once been, somewhere that she had once called home. Weird...I don't ever remember coming here before. But it's definitely a déjà vu like moment...past life, maybe? It didn't really matter - she was here now, after receiving the code in an email. She had logged into the account - Weird that it already had an account somewhat ready to go - and dropped into a world that...well, had felt familiar. She had chosen an avatar - a beastfolk, it was called. A fox, with pointed ears and long fluffy tail, which felt...well, right. She'd skipped over the masteries - abilities and skills, from the looks of it. She figured she would obtain those later on. She'd also left all the system assists off, at a quick glance. It had just felt...right, somehow.

So...I'm here now, wherever here was.

She had no idea where she was, to be honest. It looked like a crater where a city had once stood - the ruins spreading as far as her eyes could see, into the distance and beyond. Somehow, this place felt like somewhere she'd been before, not that she could remember the name of it. Nor why she had ever been here to begin with.

Still...it feels so...well, standing here won't solve anything. I should...probably look around. There must be a quest giver, or an NPC around here somewhere who can help.

Or maybe other players. Those would help, too. If I could find them. She glanced around her again, wondering which way she should go to begin with. The open area stretched and stretched, leaving no real guidance to her. She had considered her options - right now she had no weapons, no real armour...in fact, she was wearing what appeared to be a pretty simple white, grey and red sweater with some dark pants. Hardly combat-clothing for a fantasy game. Or maybe it is? I mean some games do that, make ordinary clothing look combaty...

So far, this game was far from what she had expected. Everything she'd heard about Terrasphere had led her to believe that it would be filled with dangers, ever-present fighting, and well...chaos. What she had found, however... Is an open ruin, with no one around. I would say disappointing, but...considering people die in this game, maybe it's not disappointing after all.

His breath needed a moment to catch. Heavy cycles back and forth, as the final opponent fell with two halves, sparking and wires exposed, collapsing into an inanimate hunk of spare parts to the ground. That was the last of the Robots and Magia in this immediate area. Only a few minor burns from their lazers, and stray hits remained, marking his clothing. Volcanic swords found their sheaths on either side of his hip, taking a moment to peel off the coat to his 'armor' in an attempt to cooldown.

Even after the battle with Szofrit, and the efforts of other starcalled had managed to quell some of the dissonant mechanical beings' presence in the area. But it wasn't gone entirely. Though, it was quite a bit safer now, such that Zelrius felt confident travelling here alone now. Wandering the streets. Less concerned with being ripped apart and turned into Magia than he had when looking for Jester. Maybe Jin would like to come out here sometime, see the experiments and what the robots left behind. Understand the scope of this dragonfall event, and the transformation of Vintergard from average Fantasy city to Magia-Ruin Hellscape.

He finally managed to swing his overcoat over his arms and shoulders again, adjusting his clothing underneath and prepared to continue on. The man stepped forward, hearing... something else close at hand. Walking, moving around. Another enemy? Maybe. He was still, taking calm, measured breaths through his nostrils. Letting the heat of his fire build once again. Before springing around the corner with weapons drawn.

Only to see not a magia but... a beastfolk woman? His eyes drew to the foxears as their first observation of that fact. And then down to her. She seemed... lost? Or maybe she was an enemy. Or just another starcalled exploring. His stance softened, no longer so ready for combat, but instead, a bit apologetic.

"Oh, whoops, uh sorry." He started out. How was it that you even begin to explain these things? "Thought you were an enemy or a robot or whatever. It is important to be ready to throw down, not let them get the jump..." As good as an explanation as any. His voice trailed off, not really having much more to say on that subject. "Not meaning to interrupt your stroll." Perfect. That wasn't odd or presumptive at all. Just a good clean apology and explanation, yep.

The man who jumped out from behind the ruins - a redhaired individual wielding weapons at the ready - had startled Kyra slightly. Enough so that she had let out a small yip in surprise, which reminded her of a fox's cry. Well, I did pick a fox as the main parent of this character, so no surprise there... She cocked her head as the man apologised for surprising her, explaining that he had thought she was an enemy robot of some sort. Her head tilt only continued as he explained about needing to be ready to throw down - she assumed he meant fight - before once again giving what sounded like an apology.

Erm...stroll? This doesn't really look like the place one would simply stroll through, does it? I mean...I guess I'm not super familiar with this world, but...this doesn't seem like somewhere that someone would just...walk through, does it? Or is this what the entire world is like? I had heard that it was fantastical in a sense. I didn't expect...

She waved a hand around her, as if trying to signify the destruction and ruin that surrounded them. Her eyes darted around at the same time, suddenly realising that he had explained that there were enemies here. She was lucky that she hadn't managed to stumble into any of those yet, at least.

...this. I mean, it's not exactly the most welcoming spot to drop into when you first start, is it? You'd think they'd drop you in like...a nice little village, or maybe a forest, or a field or something. Not the destroyed-and-vacant-ruins-of-a-civilisation-now-gone.

She shrugged as she finished her commentary, glancing up and down over the man once more. Somehow, he felt familiar to her - not that that was possible in any way. She was sure she'd never seen him before, but there was that pull in her mind, regardless.

Speaking of...where am I, anyways? I'm...new here. Well, new to this world, actually. To this game entirely. It all feels...oh, right, I never got your name. My name's Kyra. Kyra Vashtana - or at least, that's the name I've chosen for this game. Obviously.
