Her alarm went off in the hotel playing a loud ringtone to wake her up. She rolled over in the bed and reached out to her cell phone and turned off the alarm. She moved on to her back and wiped at her eyes getting any gunk out of the corners. She leaned up against the headboard and pulled her phone off the charger. The time was 5:30pm. She stretched her arms up and got out of the bed and went into the bathroom. She went to the bathroom and took a shower. Getting lost in the hot water that ran over her body she was thinking about what awaited her. Yesterday she had flown out from Virginia Beach to Chicago for a paranormal investigation. This was the job she chose to do. Katherina had dropped out of college finding it majorly difficult to continue. Her grades were failing and she was always getting threatened to get kicked out of classes. So one day she didn't attend college and decided to officially drop out. However, she still had student loans to pay off. So she made up a job for herself as a paranormal investigator. She had a small website with her services and what she offered. Although she was still trying to get herself into the business and her name out there, she took whatever she could get her hands on.

Stepping out of the shower, she put a towel around her body and rung out her long brown hair. Taking another towel, she wrapped it up in that towel and went out to the small kitchenette that was in the hotel room. Thankfully there was a small stove. She cooked up an egg omelet with some toast and bacon. Setting up the table with some orange juice and water, she sat down to eat her meal. Although it was technically dinner time, she loved breakfast food. While the rest of the world was probably eating dinner of some sort here she was trying to seem like she was getting up for the day. She ate as much as she could. What seemed like a lot to her was still alot left on her plate. She got up to get dressed into some jeans and a plain shirt with a hooded sweatshirt over her. Going into the bathroom, she brushed her teeth and put on her makeup and brushed out her brown hair and put it up into some type of ponytail. When she was done in the bathroom, she walked over to all of her equipment and checked to see if it was working properly.

Any college funds that was given to help her pay for classes went to helping her pay for an EMF Detector, Spirit Box, Night vision Camera, Digital Camera, Rem Pod and an EVP Device. This just seemed like the basics of starting out in the job she wanted to do. She didn't charge too much but enough to help her get through the week. Sometimes she did some side quick little jobs to help her until someone else reached out to her. That was the only thing that made her other job not all that reliable. Not everyone believed in ghosts. There were skeptics that wanted nothing to do with what she did for a nighttime job. Of course, people thought she was often crazy for locking herself in a building overnight just to capture evidence of spirits. Putting all her devices in their cases and into her bag, she continued getting ready for the night. Looking at the time it was now 6:45pm. She had to get over to the location before it got too dark.

Grabbing her room key and her bag and phone, she was heading towards the elevator to go to the lobby floor. She reserved herself a taxi to go to an abandoned theater. Waiting a few minutes, she quickly read over the case file. There were ghostly encounters in the seating area. Other investigation teams had gone to look up the site to see if they could catch anything. Some had reported feelings of being touched or hair being played with. Some have seen apparitions of figures up on the stage. The whole theater was a major hot spot for paranormal activity. Although the big problem was it was abandoned and hence people constantly trespassed on to the premises. Teenagers looking to be adventurous or drug dealers happening in secret. Homeless going to find shelter in the building to criminals hiding out from the police or others they had altercations with. All she had to do was spend a night there and investigate any hauntings that might go on.

When the car pulled up to the building, she nodded and thanked him before stepping out with all of her belongings. She met with the owner who unlocked the main entrance and let her inside. Katherina was given a guided tour while stories were being told. She took out a pen and her notebook to take down notes on where to check and set up one of her cameras. Because she had one camera, she couldn't see everything that went on. Most of it would have to go by her eyes and her encounters. Her goal was to save up for more camera to record while she did her nightly investigations. When the owner left, it was time for Katherina to go to work for the night. Some people might think that she would be scared for doing such a profession alone. Her life in the past was anything but nice. She wasn't scared of something she couldn't see. Perhaps she may get nervous and spooked but never all that frightened.

The lights went off after she got all set up and it was time to officially start her investigation. The time was now 9:00pm and she had a few hours to herself in this abandoned theater filled with history and memories. She took out her EMF Detector and began looking around for any abnormal spikes she may come across. "If there are any spirits here with me tonight, please let me know. I wish to communicate with you."

Just a typical day. Yeah typical for him but for anyone else-- they would say this wasn't just some typical Thursday. He had been given a job and he fully intended to keep it -- no matter the cost. He had spent a while running, avoiding that man-- he was good at finding people who didn't want to be found. His jobs was as mundane as finding some runaway-- the irony there-- to having hits put out for people. He didn't flinch when he ended a life, the fucked up thing was he was so good at making them think he was on their side. Then BAM. He kept a gun with him here, well a gun and a knife. This was Chicago, it wasn't all too odd to have multiple weapons on a person at a given time. The nightlife could be quite the issue

He had tracked this guy for two fucking days now, and it was over. He was done with it-- he was actually looking forward to stabbing the bastard. Maybe listen to him beg for his life. To give him some lie of how he didn't mean to do How he could change, to let him live. He really wasn't who he once had been years ago. Hell he wasn't who he had been before that bastard, Rudger, took him as some slave from yet another bastard, his father. He did from time to time wonder about his little sister. Though he had no reason to be thinking of her, she deserved a better older brother than him. He was just a fucked up with tons of mental issues from all the hell that had been thrown at him. He was only twenty eight and he had lived enough hell to fill more then twice the time of his actual age.

The thing about his job was he did things behind the scenes, he got paid to do things that weren't exactly legal. It paid well and he didn't care if he had to get his hands dirty. This was also the only job that didn't care if he was crazy or not. Hell the crazier the better probably in most of his client's minds-- they just ordered the hits and he delivered. He was one person , yet he could easily do shit that wasn't easily pulled off by one party. It might just help that he had little demons inside of him-- he wasn't technically alone after all. He smirked as he went to hop the back fence of the theater. "Oh come onnnnnn why not just waltz up to the front door and go in like that." He hissed as he leap down and landed in a crouch.

This time he chose to ignore the little demon inside of his mind. That plan was borderline stupid, the guy would run and he might not ever catch him. He had trailed him and here he would corner him. Fitting the guy chose a theater as his final resting place. This place had been out of commission for a good ten years at least, abandoned due to some deaths or something. Suicides during performances, mysterious fires behind the stage, injuries , deaths. Now it was just a den for the scum of the Earth... well he supposed the homeless that tried to just hold up there to stay out of the elements weren't scum per say. Nah-- they were. He was no different from that scum though. Yet now he hunted them for money. Irony was a bitch sometimes in a lot of things.

The place was decently sized, a two story theater not some grand oprah or anything-- but sitll decently sized enough. Red-brown eyes took in the outside of the building first. Graffeti littered the brick walls , ivy had already started to creep up the siding and try to take over. He shifted to check the window that he could tell had been used to enter. He went to climb in and jump down into the old interior. It had seen better days for sure. "Where are ya bastard" he muttered out loud to himself as he let his eyes adjust first before slowly shifting forward. That was when he heard a voice. Seriously there was no fucking way. The voices needed to stop fucking with his head. Maybe he needed to get some sleep after this too. Maybe force himself to pass out with several drinks. Yeah that sounded about right. It didn't even make fucking sense.

Why the hell would Katherina even be here? First this was Chicago. Second the words made no sense. Spirits. The fuck was she a ghost buster now? It was actually laughable. He saw the glint and heard the near crash close enough. "There ya are bastard" he said and went off running after the murderer hiding out in this abandoned theater. His gun was out , ready to shot if he needed to. This would end here, no more games. He would kill the other and then get his money and go home to the shitty apartment he had here. It wasn't a pretty life, but it worked. He actually was in more professional attire. He did look off with the red and black collar that was still around his neck. He couldn't take it off no matter what, even if he was free technically from that man, he couldn't take it off. Aside from that he wore a white button down dress shirt, black slacks and aside from that well he wore combat boots. It was like he couldn't decide on being professional or emo.

"Don't move" he spoke pointing the gun at the man. He looked spooked and he ran screaming away from him. "Don't shot man! I ain't done shit to you." He took after the man, he couldn't fully identify him, but even if the man was his bastard or not. The guy was guilty of something and when it wasn't his job to uphold some law or some shit. He might just like a good chase. So he went after. Katherina would hear plenty of noise-- but it couldn't exactly be all to said spirits that she was trying to communicate with. In fact aside from Damien and the murderer he was chasing, other human uninvited guests were in this abandoned theater. It was about to be one hell of a show too.

At first the inside of the theater was spooky and a bit unsettling. This was a common feeling Katherina battled with. Stepping into a possible haunted place could be both frightening and nerve racking. She didn't know what was in store for her. There was always the possibility of others being at the same location she was at. In the end she reminded herself that she was considered a professional and had the permission to be in the place from the owners. Looking down at her device, it hadn't changed any colors to detect something was in front of her. She kept looking around moving this way and that way trying to get a good reading. She had to check every possible place. It could also be that the haunting itself hadn't started yet. Sometimes it took awhile for the restless spirits to gain enough energy to interact with the living. If the place was very, very haunted then the spirits wouldn't waste a minute in showing themselves to her and making different things happen.

That was when she started hearing voices but they weren't disembodied. Katherina stopped and looked around hearing the echoing noises through the air. She was surely the only one present wasn't she? Abandon places always attracted visitors rather it be the fun of trespassing and doing something illegal or immature ghost hunters wanting to discover a real ghosts. There was to much noise going on. There were others inside the theater along with her. Katherina quickly put away her device and took out a flashlight and went towards the sounds. Some people might think that was a dumb thing to do, but how else would she figure out what was going on. Even if she wasn't initially tracking down the living, if she heard a noise from a spirit she would still get close and debunk or confirm what she had heard. Then she heard a man screaming which even startled her.

The female took off running into the direction which was kind of hard. There was debris all over the floor. Loose papers, trash, nails and syringes, empty pill bottles. Mixed in the darkness and the low glow of the moon illuminating the darkness through the windows. Even with her flashlight she had to play somewhat of a guessing game to see where she could step as to not hurt herself or give herself away. Her flashlight was bright but it wasn't really all that bright. It was a small flashlight that could be turned on by gently twisting the top of it. She often used it as another way of communicating with spirits by having them turn it on and off. Aside from the spirit box, it was her favorite form of communication. Gently turning the flash light on just enough that a small tap could turn it on or off. Some people who were true skeptics would look over that method and say she had set it up or someone was nearby pressing the button to the flashlight. She had learned to ignore those people. You couldn't make someone believe in something if they never planned to believe in it the first time.

Now she was running through the aisle of the seats and heading to a door that headed down a long hallway. She had to stop and catch her breath panting heavily. As she turned a corner and shined the flashlight in a corner she saw someone sleeping in a corner. An audible gasp escaped her as she quickly covered her mouth. Then she turned to the left and ran down again this time bumping into a couple of homeless men eating something together. Her heart almost leaving her chest as if she had actually seen a ghost. Although the living were way more scary than the deceased. Sure possession was a thing and even entity attachments but it wasn't all that bad. These potential people could harm her and possibly send her to join the after life. She made a mental note to tell the owners that were people living inside the abandoned theater.

It was crucial for a building to be completely empty of any people so that they didn't interfere with the investigation. For example she could hear a sound that may sound intelligent but in fact it may not be a ghost at all. She could easily debunk footsteps or movements from people that might have been previously made by the living. Katherina would still continue to investigate the location because either way she would still get paid. The people that had made the place their temporary home weren't planted by her. However, she would have to report that the investigation wouldn't be 100% of the others being present. As she moved, she tripped over a chunk of wood and fell to the ground.

Falling to the ground kind of hurt as she always seemed sensitive to pain. Accidentally her spirit box had turned on and she sat there for a minute collecting herself. "Brother." Her eyes widened before she went searching for the device to find it. Once she pulled it out, she shined the flashlight on it and looked over the spirit box to see if there was any damage. "What did you just say?" There was static as it moved fast moving through the stations before it responded to her. "Brother.....Danger." Quickly putting everything back into her bag except for her flashlight and spirit box, Katherina did a quick check of herself to make sure she was okay. Then she she stood up putting the bag strap over her head and across her chest. "Who's brother is here? How is he in danger?"

There was silence for a good few minutes that seemed long. She turned and shined her flashlight around the darkness while listening to the static. "Brother...." Katherina looked down again and squeezed the device. "Is it your brother? My brother? Somebody's brother? I don't really understand."

Who knew just how many uninvited guests were in this abandoned theater. Homeless people would be the most common, the stupid teens might be the second most likely. Though the most deadly would end up being the murderer that he had tracked here. He could care less about anyone else who might be here, he just had to chase and catch. Anyone who got in his way, he wasn't responsible for what might befall them. He easily avoided the loose bits of rubbish about on the floor as he chased after the man who took off running. Gun was cocked and ready to shoot. Now he wasn't one who shot first and asked questions later. If he was-- then what type of information could he get out of the dead.

Oh he knew, he could ask his ghost busting sister for help to contact the dead murderer to ask shit. Yeah, because that was all fucking logical. Katherina couldn't possibly be here, much less be doing something as bloody insane as ghost hunting. Either she off the deep end or maybe she was on drugs-- that was if she was in fact here. He saw the movement and he shot a warning shot at the movement. Nothing that would hit the shadowy figure too bad, maybe a shoulder or in the leg-- but he could slow them down and track them via the blood. He had warned them to not move and it was their fuckery that led to them getting shot. The sound of crashing and glass shattering would echo in the abandoned theater. That followed by a gun shot-- it would just send more people into a panic.

"What was that?" A scared girl half leaped out of her skin when she heard the gun shot. She had been led in here by her boyfriend. "I'm sure it isn't anything, babe." She stopped in her tracks , her eyes were wide. "Don't tell me you didn't hear it, Nicky. That was a gun shot... we need to get out of here." The male , Nicky, went to run his hand down her back and cup her around the waist. "Now Jes, I told you it isn't anything. You got me here if anything happens. Besides it is probably just your imagination. If you're scared--" he started and she slapped his hand away. "I'm going home, Nicky. This isn't funny or anything. Nor is this my idea of some romantic date. You lied to me , but despite my better judgement I came in here. I'm going home." She stormed off the way they came and that had been a big mistake because not even second later she screamed. Though when Nicky went after her he wouldn't find her. "Shit. Shit. Shit. Jes--- this isn't funny now. I get it, if you wanted to teach me a lesson. I get it... just come on out now." No answer.

Katherina's flashlight would begin to flicker in the darkness. The device going off again , this voice different. "Die." The static got really loud and she would be able to feel something gripping her around her right wrist. The air around her would be freezing cold as it happened. Until it was gone just like that. A crash sounded close to her and that was when Nicky came stumbling out into the corridor she was in. "Shit... another chick. O...okay... you gotta help me. My girl... we had a fight and she walked away from me and... and ... and then she screamed and the next moment she was gone." The male was tall and smelled of weed. He had shaggy blond hair , not like it could easily be told in the dark though, he was also covered in a few tattoos along his bare arms. Around his neck was a choker. Would Katherina think of Damien and that collar?

Meanwhile, Damien had found his blood stains that he needed. Though what he found next wasn't what he intended to find. He crouched down to examined the body. Well it was the guy alright, but his shot wouldn't have caused this. No it didn't create a pole sticking out of the guys chest. "Well shit." He went to search the man's pockets. Not his murderer, no just some unlucky man who had run when he shouldn't. Though there was nothing saying he would have actually lived if he hadn't run. Though he didn't do this. Though the question was... did the murderer do this? No, it wasn't a slashing. This looked like someone had thrust the pole into the man's body and ran him through into the wall then pulled it out and ran it through him again. There was even a hole in the wall. Well was it time to become a detective?

He clicked his tongue and thanked everything the little demon didn't decide to try to speak to him. He was trying to think logically about this. It wasn't the M.O. that the murderer used. Sure, he could have gotten cornered and done this. Though he didn't think that would actually be the case. Which meant... someone or something else had done this.

She had been on a few investigations before but so far none of them were turning out like the one she was in now. Something wasn't right about this location. First of all there shouldn't be homeless people inside the building. In fact there shouldn't of been anybody inside the building. It was suppose to be locked up tight. It was abandoned for a reason. Perhaps there was mold of some type in the rooms or the foundation wasn't all that strong. Although those were some of the reasons as to why people would just up and leave a building like that. The most probable explanation was it probably couldn't keep the business. Perhaps it cost too much to keep running and it simply couldn't pay for itself. Either way Katherina had alot on her plate for just being there.

Holding on to her flashlight, she had looked around using the light to see through the darkness. She had an eerie feeling overcoming her. These type of feelings she hadn't felt before out on an investigation. It was a bit alarming to say the least. First she heard the sounds of a gun going off. Katherine jumped at the sound and instantly turned around frantically. Her heart racing with fear and adrenaline of the unexpected and unknown all around her. More gun shots followed by the sound of a female scream. She definitely heard that. It was in fact not a ghost but a real person in trouble of some kind. Her first thought was she should call back the owner and call off the investigation. Danger seemed to be way too close to comfort for her.

Deciding to reach for her phone, she was distracted by the flickering of her flashlight. It was going crazy. A sure sign a spirit was trying to make some type of contact with her or drawing energy from the light source. Then the sounds of her spirit box broadcasting another voice that simple said "Die." Katherina was shaking slightly now that fear was really taking over her now. Her mouth and throat had gone dry making it incredibly hard for her to swallow her own saliva. Fumbling backwards, Katherina felt the change in air temperature as it got really cold all of a sudden. She gasped and dropped the flashlight as it felt like something or someone was squeezing her wrist. There was absolutely nobody around her. There was no way to debunk what was happening. Yes things had happened to her before on investigations but nothing to this degree.

There was the sound of footsteps quickly approaching her as she picked up her flashlight and shined it at the person. "Stop right there! Don't move!" That was when the boy started describing everything she had just heard. He was talking rapidly really shook up from what he had just gone through. Of course Katherina couldn't blame him for the scary ordeal. "Okay, okay. Calm down. I'll help you find her. My name is Katherina and I'm here as a paranormal investigator. The owner called me to do a night time investigation here as she believes it to be haunted." She looked down at her wrist and the flashlight being held by the same hand. "Unfortunately I'll have to scratch this job as I didn't think there'd be other people in here with me."

Katherina put her spirit box in the hand of her flashlight before digging out her phone from her pocket. Unlocking it and opened up her text messages. Finding the owner's contact she began rapidly typing one handed on the screen. 'Due to circumstances out of my control I apologize to inform you that I cannot accurately continue the investigation. Please understand. If you'd like we can reschedule another time. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.' She sighed and sent it out before looking over at the guy. "Let's go and look for it. Once we find her and leave safely, I'll call the cops to this place. Clearly there is something else going on here that should involve law enforcement."

Katherina had seen the collar around his neck and her thoughts did think about her brother for a hot minute or two. However, she had to remain calm and collected. Technically she was working and had to appear as a professional. Now with a potential missing person case being born and quite possibly a murder, there was alot to process and look over. She didn't have the time or the energy to become fragile and breakdown because she missed her brother and some little scrap of clothing reminded her of him. They had to find the girl, leave the building and get out pronto. The clock was officially ticking down now.

Wait... wait the girl was some paranormal investigator. "Y.....ya mean you do this shit for a living? Fuck--- it don't matter as long as ya help me. Ya can be anything. If this is karma, it sure ain't funny shitty. I didn't want Jes to be hurt. I never wanted her hurt." He was told to calm down, but it wasn't really much help. There was always going to be people in abandoned places unless people made sure ahead of time. "I really thought ghosts and all weren't real, but after this... I dunno." Though maybe there was a logical explanation. Than again he was stoned and his mind just might be playing tricks on him. Jes would be fine and all, he just had to think about that. Though that scream, why would she scream if she was okay. He was trembling as he thought of it. "Alright... so where exactly do we go from here?"

It was cute that Katherina thought that leaving was going to be that easy. Nothing ever was so simple when all this shit just happened out of the blue. The screen flickered on Katherina's phone as she looked away from it and towards Nicky. It wouldn't be obvious unless she opened the message itself-- but the message had failed to send to the owner of this place. This place was only going to get worse before remotely getting better. The abandon theater might as well be acting as an abandoned hotel-- because no one was leaving here. Those who were in this build were stuck here until this case was solved. Though just how many deaths would happen before that happened?

Damien stared at the body that laid crumbled down against the wall. He had to find something to tell him more about this. He wasn't an idiot, he knew how to not leave his mark on a crime scene-- that exactly what this was. He knew not that his sister was even in the building with him. He had heard her-- sure-- but then again he thought it was just another voice fucking with him at the time. It wouldn't be the first time that the little demon had fucked with him in such ways. No, he didn't have time to go down the path of thinking about his sister again. If he did that-- who the hell knew what might happen in that black hole that opened up. She was gone--- it was better that way. Of course cue the damn little demon humming that damn song. "Shut the fuck up already, I don't need Kansas in my head."

The little demon could careless about what he had to say, so the only way he could go on with this was to just ignore and try to continue with this as if he didn't have a voice in his head loudly humming 'Dust in the Wind'. He kneeled down to get a closer look at the body and that was when he felt something brush past him. He shifted before a rolling cart came flying into the wall and running straight into the corpse again. "Oh are you really telling me that there are really fuckin ghosts here now too? Oh do we need to call the damn ghost busters." He rolled his eyes , whatever was there clearly didn't want him observing the body anymore. "I have a fucking demon-- like I am afraid of a fucking ghost." Okay probably not the best words to tell the vengeful spirit.

He stumbled slightly over the rumble, all thanks to having to reposition his strides because of the damn cart that had been thrown at him. Now did he believe in ghosts or not? Eh... surely they existed but it wasn't like he would be one to be some hunter or some shit. Though since one personally attacked him now--- it was on. Now this was turning out to be a night that was anything but ordinary truly. Damien, just like Camus, now tended to somehow have an act of pissing off people. Especially if the little demon happened to come out to play. Though for now the little demon seemed to have stopped with the song and was cackling. He rolled his eyes again and went to move to the next station. Surely the ghost or whatever the fuck it was trying to stop him from going forward. "So let's go forward." What was pass here that was so important to stop people from going forward?

Katherina's spirit box would turn on once more. Another voice wanting to contact her. "Help..." this one was a clearly female voice. Nicky's eyes went wide. "Jes... Jes.... talk to me." He wasn't the brightest bulb in the box at all , he thought that the spirit box was his girlfriend trying to speak to him. That this spirit box was like a cell phone. "How did you get her number? Are you in this with her?" It wasn't Jes thought. This was getting worse. This was getting more complex too. What was worse would be that no one would be able to get out of here. The doors and windows would all be locked and no way of getting out, including busting down things. They were officially trapped here.

"You don't have to be a believer of ghosts. Honestly they can't get to you if you don't notice them. Vengeful spirits feed off of fear. The more they sense your fear; the stronger they become. So if you can numb your emotions." Something inside of Katherina had already told her it would be hell of a hard time trying to get out of the theater. She sighed deciding to answer his question. "I just started doing this for a living. When you live a crappy life, you figure nothing can harm you or scare you. Nothing can compare to what I've been through in the past."

Katherina pushed Nicky to the left pushing him in front of her. "We need to keep going." She had been checking up on her phone to see if her message went through. There was a loading screen with plenty of service bars. Then the bars in the corner that represented service began to blink rapidly. It was a sure fire sigh that she was out of service. Then she began raising the phone this way and that way trying to pick up a signal. That was when the phone's screen began blinking. "Dammit." She cursed under her breath pressing the screen and shaking it. Soon her battery had died. She turned it over and checked it out before reaching to her back pocket to put her phone away. Her eyes looked down as she heard the spirit box going off again with another voice and a distinct plea for help.

The brown haired girl sighed and could only roll her eyes. If she was here to be a ghost hunter then a hunter she would be. "Alright then. Do you have a name? I already told you I'm Katherina." She reached into her bag and pulled out her camera and gave it to him. She went over how it worked repeating the steps making it as simple as she could. Setting it up to night vision mode which would help Nicky see in the dark and anything else that might show up. It may catch something or nothing. The spirits had the dice in their hands now. She held up the spirit box and looked at him. "This is called a spirit box. It goes through different frequencies and spirits can speak through it. Just because we heard doesn't mean its Jess. If there are angry and vengeful ghosts here then they will play tricks on us. They'll do anything to trick us and have us drop our guard. So ready or not whoever you are: I'm in charge. You listen to me and do what I say."

She then gave him her EMF detector. "This will measure spikes in energy. If it lights up all the way it means a spirit is around us. We may not be able to physically see them but it'll be like we can see them." She went on describing the rest of her equipment of what it does. She also showed him how to use. Rather he liked it or not, she had just gotten herself a teenage assistant. Of course she was only keeping him with her so that nothing happened to him especially with the sounds of gun shots being heard in the area. "I don't know your religion and it's not my place to tell you what you should or shouldn't believe in but....If you happen to know any prayers, I would start reciting them."

Nicky didn't really like the thought of what he was being told at all. "Numb my emotions? Da fuck ya on---" he started and he sort of couldn't get another word in just yet. So she had some chip on her shoulder or some shit like that. The fuck-- and he was being pushed forward by her. He was being asked his name now. Right he hadn't told her his name. Not that he thought it would matter. The girl was probably batshit crazy for doing this for a living. "Nicky-- that's my name. I don't see why any of this is important or anything." Yet here she kept showing him how things worked and what not. He was so confused the more information she gave him.

"Why the fuck is a box important to talk with spirits. It has to be Jes... who else could it be? Seriously-- I never remember saying I was going to help you or some shit like that. Look man, I don't wanna have anything to do with these ghosts or whatever the fuck is going here. You might think all this shit is something-- but all I care about is finding my girl and getting the fuck out of here." Though was he scared. Yea, though he wouldn't outright admit that to batshit crazy girl. The girl who was trying to put him to work. Seriously who the hell did she think she was. "Look, all tonight was supposed to be about was getting a little action. Maybe having Jes get a little scared. I didn't sign up to be working as some ghost hunter or some shit. Besides I don't see how any of this is gonna help me find Jes. You don't even have a gun." Because shooting spirits was completely possible. He had heard a gun shot... hadn't he?

"And do I really look like I know prayers. Are you... wait ... wait are you saying we are going to die here?! No I'm too young and hot to die in a place like this!!" Weed was suppose to clam down typically, but maybe this guy was just naturally like this. If the ghosts didn't kill Nicky-- Katherina probably would want to by the end of the night. What happened when the two ran into Damien? That was when the EMF detector went off all the way in the red zone. And he jumped "the fuck is this shit doing? Where the fuck is it?!!" He was so loud and was probably only going to attract more spirits to them. That was when a vase went flying at Nicky. The guy barely mangaing to hit into the wall with such a feminine scream leaving him as he did. Then the door slammed in front of them, he dropped the EMF and the camera as he fell. The camera did manage to go off when he dropped it-- meaning that they might have actually gotten a picture of a ghost. "I'm not gonna die. No I'm not gonna die." He was shaking some as he sort of just leaned against the wall. "No no get it together. I'm cool. It had to just be the wind or some shit."

Damien continued to walk through the area, going into what was clearly a green room area. The mirrors were mostly shattered and it was actually a shame that some of the costumes still were there. It made one have to wonder just why this theater closed down. He continued to walk and observe the place. Playing cards laid out on the table, clearly mid game it seemed. Though were they from the production before or had someone brought them in recently. They did have a slight layer of dust on them , but nothing like a lot of the other things. He flipped over the next card in the pile only to have a joker be revealed. He heard a shifting of something, boxes perhaps. He walked out of the door and there was the murderer. "Stop where you are now!" He spoke gun raised and a light pole was shoved at him as he tried to tackle the other. "Oh you'll pay" he hissed and went to try to shoot once more-- how bad could it be. Now this shot would be much closer to Katherina and Nicky then the last one.

The man ran didn't speak and kept trying to make obstacle as Damien chased after him. Now the light that was shoved at Damien wasn't plugged in but in the theater this was what was known as a 'ghost light'. The light had shattered when it landed on the floor after Damien pushed it to the side and shoved past. They were now on the stage. He tackled the man down, giving him a good punch. "Fucker, I finally bloody caught you." The man head butted him trying to get the gun out of the other's hand. He would get the fucker and then he would leave this shit show. He had no idea of the chaos that was going on. Sure someone had died-- but it wasn't really his problem. Oh, but that corpse would come back involved soon enough. "Oh such a smart, coppa. Though ya gona die here instead" he punched the other again as a counter. The man was purposely trying to wrestle him and then get the gun from him. Like hell would he let that happen. The door was right there to enter the theater--- would Katherina and her new assistant come to see the play upon the stage?

Katherina was already getting annoyed with Nicky. Yes he was scared out of his mind with the only concern of finding his girlfriend or friend. She could understand that but at the same time he wasn't taking it very seriously. The brunette turned finally having enough with him. "Listen! Rather you like it or not you're staying with me until we get out of here. I'll try to help you find your girlfriend. I don't care if you're a skeptic or if you believe in the paranormal, but like it or not there is alot more going on than you think it is. This place isn't just abandoned and home to the homeless. It's home to others as well!" By others she was referring to the spirits that she potentially could make contact with. "So pull yourself together and do what I say or I'll just leave you behind."

She turned as Nicky exclaimed over the EMF Detector. Katherina looked at it with curiosity. "The energy spiked. There's a spirit with us...." She barely had enough time to say what she said before she saw the flying vase come flying at Nicky. She squealed a little bit but not as much as Nicky. In that moment, he sounded like a girl rather than a guy. She couldn't help herself as she laughed a little at his reaction. If he was going to disrespect the spirits then they would make themselves known in some way. Her laughing expression vanished when she saw Nicky jump and drop her devises. "Hey! Be careful with my gear! They were really expensive. Probably more than what you could afford right now." She sighed and picked up her stuff that he had dropped. "Look I get it. You're scared and freaking out but you need to calm down. Ghosts aren't the only things we're dealing with in here."

Sometimes Katherina would have liked to have a couple of other people when investigating the haunted locations. However after dealing with Nicky, she'd probably have to hold some type of auditions to see how they would do under pressure in a dangerous situation. Although this was an unusual case indeed. Usually it was just her and the lingering spirits at the haunted places. There was way more going on than she had bargained for. "Come on. Let's go through this side door into the theater." She adjusted the items in her hands and used a free hand to open up the door holding on to it for a second or two for her manly girly assistant to also come through the door.

In this room she could hear a ruckus of some sort and punches being thrown. There was alot of movement on the stage. Right away she knew it had nothing to do with the paranormal. It was whoever had been in the building with them. Walking on the side of the seats she headed for the stairs and slowly climbing up the side stairs that lead up to the stage. Looking out at all the empty seats, she wondered what this place had been like back in its heyday. It must of been a great place filled with all sorts of people watching many, many performances of all kinds. Her eyes blinked and she turned her head to look at the stage and there in front of her was one unrecognizable man and the other was her brother. 'Damien?!'

In that moment, everything seemed to slow down and come to a pause around her. She felt her arms and legs get weak on her but she stayed standing. Staring at the collar was how she was able to determine the other man was in fact her older brother. Her mind became like a television playing back all their memories in an overwhelming way. She didn't know what to feel or how to react. Her eyes were wide and she was frozen in her steps standing on the final stair. 'Why is Damien here? Is that even Damien? No it's a trick! He's not really there. I'm just seeing things!'

The chick was laughing at him! She tried to cover up the laughter, but it didn't last long before she was yelling at him some more. This time it wasn't to get his head in the game and deal with shit. That she didn't care how he believed--- but going on about her gear this and gear that. He rolled his eyes. "Eh I could probably afford it. It shouldn't matter how important it is or not. You were laughin at me! I ain't someone to laugh at." Though as he grumbled he still followed her as she moved about and spoke of where they were going to head into next. The side door into the theater. Though he was making sure he kept his eyes peeled for anything that might come flying at him again. He couldn't risk that shit one bit.

"What the hell are you waiting for?" He asked pushing himself into the room. He could hear the sounds of what was going on up on stage. She was moving closer and he too was moving closer as well. He didn't want to risk being too close to the door and someone else or rather something else coming and grabbing him. Though then again Katherina was pretty terrifying-- so maybe he could just endure his luck with the ghosts. At least with them he knew what was going to come from them. Nothing good about any ghosts, they were what they were, they didn't pretend to be all fake and then snap at someone. And why the hell was she staring at one of the guys on the stage? It was weird as fuck to say the least.

Oh the murderer had seen the new addition of people in their little tussle. He could get the other distracted and when he was , he would escape. No one knew that they were trapped in this building. That would be something that would end up working itself out rather soon. The man headbutted Damien which had the other snarling "That isn't gonna work, fucker. Three fucking days, I'm not going to spend another day looking for you." The man laughed "good, then don't. You let me go, like a good coppa. Then I go on my merry little way." Damien glared at him "don't think so." He went to try to shoot the man only for the man to get a hand free enough to make it misfire and towards Nicky. Another scream left him.

Damien lost his hold and the man took the gun and ran. Though not before grabbing Nicky and running. "A hostage never hurt. So don't follow me fucking coppa. You care about the general dumb ass public. The innocent." The man backed out of the doors and was gone. Damien snarled "Damnit! Fucking damnit!" He stood up from the stage. He had a nice bloody nose from the encounter. "What the fuck was the fucking teen doing here?!" He hadn't noticed Katherina just yet. He was going through a rough time right now. Well Nicky was now the murderer's problem. Probably a good thing that Nicky had dropped all the shit that Katherina had given him-- because if not then that prized equipment would have been going with the murderer too.

He got up and punched the wall "and it isn't just bad enough the guy escaped. Though not only did he take my gun but a hostage as well. Fuck!!! Fuck!" Katherina had probably not seen her brother like this. He had gotten worse since before when they met at Dreamland. No his mental state was hardly even there. Still he hadn't seen his sister. What would she even do? Even say to him?

"Nicky!!!" Katherina screamed watching the teenager get taken by the other male. Her hands were shaken. Her mind wanting to shut down to protect her from what may happen next. All of sudden all the memories came flooding back to when she was little girl always watching her old brother and playing innocent games. The scenes shifted becoming corrupted as she saw herself constantly staring out a window waiting for her brother to come back. Listening to her parents manipulating her that he left because she was his burden. Never knowing the real dark truth behind it all.

She suddenly saw herself smiling at her. 'All this time he never contacted you or even tried to find you.' She looked over at his direction at the male who looked like he was having his own mental breakdown. 'You want to get even with him? Pretend to not recognize him.' How could she do something like that. It was the collar. She knew that collar anywhere. It was Damien! This guy swearing up a storm was in fact her older brother Damien. 'The fates have been cruel to you and him. If you go to him now being all emotional, chances are it won't go well. Your best shot is to not recognize him. Pretend he is someone you have never met before.' All Katherina wanted was the little boy who used to play Peter Pan and Wendy with her. That was all she truly wanted.

'It's a game of make believe. That's all it is.' Her inner self was so compelling and seem to make sense. Was she ready to face Damien? Absolutely not. At one point she had searched for him all over Virginia Beach but eventually gave up when he was nowhere to be found. What were the chances that he was actually in Chicago in her haunted theater for that matter. She clutched her spirit box tightly as it kept sounding it's static constantly sweeping the radio waves creating white noise. "Brother...." Her EMF detector was lighting up all the way into the red light section meaning a spirit or spirits were around him. "Brother....." Katherina shook her head as her long brown hair followed her movement. "Okay." She spoke softly to herself as she took in a deep breath.

The brunette suddenly ran up and put her hands on his arm and pushed him to the side. "Get out of the way! I'm responsible for him!" 'A game of make believe....' Katherina turned and looked at Damien dead in the eyes with a stare. Her expression looked right through him. Although it felt like she stared at him for maybe a minute or two, in reality it was really only half a second or two. With a swift turn, her brown hair followed her as she turned and ran into the direction that the murderer and his hostage went. The air was cold and felt heavy. Her heart was racing.

A bloody hand came back from him punching the wall. That was when he heard the static noise from the white noise. That single word-- brother. It was repeated twice. "The fuck..." he started and then a girl was assaulting him. "She pushed him out of the way as if HE was the problem. Oh the girl wanted to play.. well they would play for sure. See Katherina wasn't the brightest girl it seemed-- this method wouldn't go over too well for Katherina. Damien wasn't stable, hell even when she had been right in front of him before in Dreamland---- so long ago---- he hadn't truly seen her. The little demon inside his mind hadn't been as strong as it was now. The little demon was a split personality completely now , not like Damien truly knew such a thing. He blacked out and would end up in another spot-- no memory of how he had gotten there. He knew something was off, but he didn't know his body was being auto jacked and the demon was running off and doing things as him.

Katherina also couldn't possibly had realized what her actions would cause. She went to race away with her trail of brown hair flowing after her. Though she had looked at him and Damien-- well he was a bright thing normally. Though his mental state wasn't the best. A growl left him and the inner demon cackled in his head. See the inner demon knew the other's sister was there. She was pretending too it seemed. Siblings continued to pretend and pretend. He could have some fun with this. "What are ya gonna do, hmm, champ? Ya losing here. Honestly leave the teen-- he seemed like a fucking idiot. Anyone is who gets themselves kidnapped and taken to be a hostage in the first place. And what about that chick-- what a fucking bitch. Wouldn't ya like--" Damien snarled "shut the fuck up for a fucking minute! Let me fucking think."

His eye twitched and it seemed like he had a throbbing vein in his forehead from his mental state at the moment. He wasn't the same Damien that Katherina had ever known. He would embrace her and cry and call her Rinabell. Oh no, this Damien was truly a dangerous thing. Camus wasn't real-- Camus was an avatar and he was inside Terrasphere. Though Damien was here in the real world. He had gotten fired from so many jobs because of his breaking mental state. This one was the only one who would hire anyone-- as long as they could complete their jobs. "Fuck!!!" He screamed out and he was quick to catch up to the other. He pulled her by her arm , he wasn't gentle as he forced her into a pin with her arm behind her back. The force would make her drop the spirit box, after all it was far from gentle and there was no way anyone could hold on to any object in such a pin to begin with.

"And where the fuck ya think ya going? Hmn. Ya responsible for him ya say. A bloody idiot like him? Really. Two peas in a pod really if I don't say so myself. One gets themselves used as a hostage by a murderer and then ya. Well ya stupid enough to play what the fuck is all this. Ghost hunter or some shit. Though that isn't dumb enough. No no you have to try to run after the murderer. And with what plan might you have." He leaned close to her, there wasn't recollection in those red-brown eyes. No compassion for her. "What you gonna go magical girl on me next or some shit? Go home , little girl. Leave the job to the real professionals. This isn't some fairytale. You go after the bloody murderer and ya die." Yes he was a outright asshole to her. He pushed her into the wall more with her arm going to dig into her back more.

"Let me say that a tad slower for you. If he catches you, and he will. You will die. That means no redos. No coming back. You will die and maybe just maybe you become a ghost just like you are pretending to chase." He pushed more against her before releasing her arm. He might look lackey but he had some strength behind him. "Mean.... change...." the spirit box created the same white noise sound from where it was. Oh the dead ass stare the box got. "And shut the fuck up! Now I'm gonna go catch a murderer who has a fucking hostage because a fucking dumb ass brought a fucking wanker here. Oh and while I'm explaining shit to ya-- that murderer also stole my fucking gun because of it all." He punched the wall once more, this time very very close to where Katherina was. His knuckles were already bleeding , he could care less and it showed. Damien might have just fully broken.

A sharp gasp escaped from her mouth as she felt her arm being twisted and held back behind her. Instantly she lost grip of the spirit box as it fell to the floor bouncing for a moment before becoming completely still. Her eyes looked down as she tried to move unable to shake off her brother. It was clear that he had no idea who she was. Or if he did something inside of him was stopping him from remembering her and the good times they once shared together. The spirit box's static cut through the silence between them like knifes as she focused on her breathing in this tensed position. When did he learn to be so rough like this? Defense was a thing but this was not self defense.

"Y-Your right. I am a ghost hunter and for good reason. I find those who were silenced in life and bring their stories out to be heard one more time. I speak for those who no longer have a voice or a physical body." So what if he didn't like her being a ghost hunter. He wasn't around for her during her adult years. He was no longer the temporary parental guardian she once had. Katherina was old enough to make her own decisions and lead the life she wanted to. Why he was away living his own fucked up life.

"I bumped into Nicky and he found me needing help to find his girlfriend. I'm the ONLY one here who actually has permission to be here. You better unhand me soon and you'll be lucky enough that I don't call the fucking police and watch them haul your ass to jail for years to rot." She had no idea that he was actually the infamous Camus in Terrasphere but if he was in jail being held without bail for then Camus wouldn't be around to torment her as her alter ego Caelynn. Of course they didn't know their real identities so for now that was complete and utter nonesense.

The brunette gasped as she felt herself being pushed and pinned into the wall with her arm almost coming through her stomach as it dug into her back. 'Be strong Katherina. This isn't Damien. Remember that. He may look and sound like your brother but he is not Damien.' She swallowed hard trying to wet her dry mouth. "I'm not afraid of death. Even if I die here it wouldn't mean a thing. There'd be nobody to miss or mourn me. You're just like me....A Nobody." She winced as the pain was tearing through her arm and ripping her up it felt like. "I'm not leaving that teenager behind. I'm going after them rather you like it or not so get your fucking hands off me!"

At some point he pushed harder and then let her go. She brought her arm in front of her and held it. Inside she was screaming from the pain holding back her tears. She breathed deeply before looking down at her equipment and picked it up. The spirit box once again letting itself be known as it spoke. 'Keep playing your game of make believe....Don't let him know who you are.'

"No I'm done playing stupid games!" She flinched and shut her eyes preparing herself to get hit by his fist only to hear the sound of the wall getting punched. "Like I said, I'm going to go find Nicky and his girl. And if I happen to die and or get shot along the way then so be it." Katherina then turned and headed for the door. "Maybe my older brother is already on the other side just waiting to be reunited with me." Her voice was cold and harsh but perhaps she was right. Whoever this Damien was wasn't who she used to know or grew up with.

This wasn't really the time for a sibling fight, not like either truly knew. One didn't know and one was telling herself to not. Oh the almost insane laughter left his lips. "So bloody hilarious. You actually saving someone. That teenager is probably as good as dead soon anyways. Each minute ticking by -- tick tok. As for the police and getting hauled off to jail bit that is the cheery there. You must be dense or deaf-- the murderer called me a what... oh wait-- a coppa. A cop." So not exactly a cop, but he was working with them this time. Someone in the inside wouldn't hold well if the bounty hunter was hauled off. No his job was to catch this murderer-- no matter what happened. He could care less what happened to some dumb ass teenager. As for this ghost hunter... who cared. She was on some pity party trip. Yes, he didn't recognize his own sister right now.

She turned and headed towards the door and he rolled his eyes and went to yank her back. "I see so someone is a suicidal brat looking for her older brother. It doesn't matter if you die, suree you say that when you can't even handle just some pain. I tell ya-- being shot isn't some way to go. Well then again playing with ghosts, or whatever the hell-- it won't be much better what might happen. Like I said no redos." He pushed past her and oh the little demon was just humming as Damien himself just ruined his own life. He was oh so cruel to his sister and he got a front row seat to it all. What better location too-- a theatre.

"For ya information, I don't give a damn about ya or ya suicidal arse. Though ya fuckin with my case, so go fuckin run off and play with dolls or whatever the fuck ya do. I don't need some wanna be ghost hunter who thinks they are tough because they have toys and think they are oh mighty ones. If the fucking spirit world existed --" he didn't continue his spoken thoughts or at this point rants. His red-brown eyes spotted something and he went to shine a flashlight on it. "Not the boy wonders shit, but the blood is fresh. Seems I found his hiding place after all. Now what ever are you doing with them? Keeping trophies?" He showed clear signs of mental disorders and it was clear how easily he flip flopped.

He picked up the piece of fabric, possibly from a dress. "Oi, girl. You said ya boy had a girlfriend and you were gonna find them. Hate to break it to ya-- but that girl is most likely dead already." This was the second time he had seen blood-- but this had no body attached to it. The fabric was ripped like someone had been struggling. He went and hit a dead end. He frowned and went to tap on the wall. "Hmm do we have a hidden passage here?" He was talking to himself not to Katherina at this point. The EMF reader gave a loud beeping noise and it spiked all the way into the red zone. A hand was reaching out of the wall. It was a blacken arm , it clearly didn't look human anymore. The arm was damn close to Damien too. Something about this wall was important as this spirit clearly didn't want them snooping. The arm grew and soon a figure seemed to loom behind Damien. The room grew so icy cold . Yet Damien didn't seem to feel it as the ghostly figure went to breathe down his neck. Claws ready to claim its next victim.

"I don't buy it at all that the police would hire somebody like you to do their bidding." She glared at the male. "Clearly you've lost your mind and belong in a psych ward." Katherina rolled her eyes not wanting to argue with him or spend her precious time exchanging vile words with him. He was right about one thing that time was ticking away. Nicky was in danger and so was Jess especially if this other guy was right about a murderer on the loose.

"I see so someone is a suicidal brat looking for her older brother." That was all she needed to hear. It explained everything. Katherina was pretending that she didn't know the male she was talking to was in fact her older brother. He straight up didn't know he was talking to his younger sister. Had she changed that much? Had she become unrecognizable somehow? Hearing those words really pained her heart. So much she wanted to say that she had found her older brother who was actually in front of her. But she knew better than to say something so stupid. He wouldn't believe her and would probably proceed to make fun of her some more. The feeling of her heart breaking was truly coming back and aching in her chest.

"I'm not suicidal! I'm not saying I came here to end my life...Don't twist my words in different ways when you have no idea what you're talking about." Katherina sighed trying to keep herself together. Now she and Damien had to work together rather they liked it or not. "I don't particularly want to be next to you let alone work with you but we don't have a choice! Lives are at risk. I need to find two people and you need to catch your maniac. Like it or not we're in this together now." The paranormal investigation was completely void. She was no longer hunting ghosts but rather hoping there were some nice spirits that could lend her a helping hand. Her equipment would be useful in some way. Katherina followed close behind Damien and watched him look at the blood and evaluate it. Another indication she really had no idea who this 'Damien' was. It was truly sad.

"You guys ruined my case! Nobody was suppose to be in this building except for me! I got the permission verbal and written. I was HIRED to come here and look for ghosts. They wanted evidence that this place is truly haunted, and maybe I'll deliver some of my findings. I would appreciate it if you would stop fucking talking down on me." Katherina was growing more and more pissed off at him. "Like I said we HAVE to work together for now. Once we're done you can see yourself fucking out and fuck off when we're done." She smiled at him in a snarky way. He was truly bringing out the worst in her.

"Noo. Jess please be alive. For Nicky." She sighed feeling sad thinking about it now. What if Jess had truly met her demise? The poor girl didn't deserve that. Thinking back to what Nicky had said telling her that their date was suppose to be a little adventurous with the hopes of getting lucky at the night. In her head, Katherina was saying some prayers and hoping that Jess was still alive and would reunite with her boyfriend. The beeping of her EMF detector snapped her back to reality as she watched it light up all the way into the red zone. Something was wrong. Very wrong. "I am not aggressive..." The voice of the spirit box came out then became silent.

"I am lying..." Katherina's eyes widened as she looked up to see her older brother in potential danger. Memories came flooding back and she didn't have time to recollect herself. "DAMIEN!!!!" Katherina never asked for his name or even introduced herself. He must of found it rather strange that the girl he could not recognize knew his name. His real name. Damien. She screamed and ran towards him pushing him off to the side and getting in way of the ghostly hands. Her devices dropped to the ground as she screamed a bloodcurdling scream.

The two were bickering much like cats and dogs-- oddly enough like their characters in Terrasphere. Okay, maybe real life was bit worse. Damien was showing clear signs of mental disorders and one clear thing-- he didn't recognize that his little sister was right there. Yet, at the beginning he had recognized her voice-- wondering if she was playing with the ghost busters. Though had pushed it to the back of his head because Katherina would never do that. He had spent his time in the past doing everything to protect Katherina, she was the world to him. His precious Rinabell. Now he had no sister complex or something, he just only loved her. The rest of their family was dead to him. Their father was an abusive drunkard of an asshole, one he sought to protect Katherina from. Their mother didn't raise a finger to do anything about it, she was utterly afraid of their father. So naturally Katherina meant the world to him. If he could have run away with her and provided her with a decent life--- he would have. He should have. Maybe if he had--- life would have been different.

"Yea right, champ. Ya know ya could never have gotten away from shit. Who knows what might have happen. Can't say it might not have been much much worse. Though I would have always been with ya. A constant compainon." He ended up growling under his breathe at the little demon's voice in his head. Oddly enough he knew that what it said was true-- even if he had run with her, there was no guirentee that it wouldn't have beem much much worse. Not just that, but the little demon would have developed from the trauma eventually anyways. His father had been terrible, though his mental disorder might have been a little better. Yet, those what ifs weren't anything. Hell, that branch off path could never have happened. No need to think of it. Besides now wasn't the time to think of it at all.

Damien was in his own little world , even as the spirit box produced the same white noise-- the voice much different than before. Though oh he heard his name as Katherina shouted his name and went to push him off to the side right as the ghostly hands went to nab him down. The bloodcurdling scream that she let out. Something cracked in his mind and he acted before he knew what came over him. He went to grab her by her midsection as the ghostly hands tried to pull her away. The weight of the siblings forcing the wall open and he went to slash at the ghostly hands with a dagger. Where the hell had he even pulled it out or when?

"Fucker, get the fuck away!" He growled and oddly enough instead of going through the arms , it cut and it bled. The blacken creature snarled , it was a truly dreadful noise. It slashed at Damien, cutting him along the chest , but it went about racing off. This wasn't a black out type of moment , but one of pure adrenalin. The blade dropped from his hand and his body crumbled to the ground. He let out a pained noise. From the cuts in the fabric of his shirt -- it was clear he was bleeding and it would soon enough try to soak through his white shirt. "Oh trying to play the hero. The shining knight?~" Her growled "shut.... up. I've had enough with you. I'm done with the constant provoking." The little demon laughed "and yet you've done good messing ya own shit up, champ. Oh fair sweet Rina, so young. Do ya remember how she drifted off into the wind?"

He shook his head "not... real. Not real... enough with the dust in the wind!" He shoved the little demon back , he was panting heavily. Internal struggles and the nice deep slash from the creatures nails. "When the fuck do ghosts do that shit?!" His red-brown eyes looked at her. Though did he remember. "You really are a fool. I dunno why you would put yourself in danger like that. Aren't I the one meant to be protecting you?" He almost sounded delirious at this point. "Rinabell, didn't go to Neverland. Did she? Things like pixie dust -- can't just drift off." Then he fell forward , passing out. Though was it from the wound? Was it from something else completely? What type of spirit had they just encountered? Was it the same one that had taken Jes? Or was there much more going on in spirit activity?

Katherina looked at the male with tears in her eyes. "Why would I put myself in danger? You are my brother Damien! You're my Peter Pan. If you don't want me to put myself in danger for you then don't be in danger." Her voice was shaking as she was trying to keep herself together. Ghosts and such as the paranormal didn't really scare her. Why should she be scared of the unseen? Of course after pushing Damien out of the way, the adrenaline was coursing through her veins. She gasped at his words and moved closer to him. "I didn't go to Neverland. I'm still here! I've always been here!" She watched as he fell forward and crawled over to him pulling his head up and putting it on her lap.

Rather quickly she looked over him for his wounds. It wasn't hard to see the ripped shirt from the scratches and the blood already soaking up his shirt. She just wanted to sit there and wait for him to wake up but she had to do something. They couldn't just sit there. Looking around she began trying to think of what it was should she do? Jess and Nicky were both missing. Damien was hurt and clearly passed out. And to top it all off there was a potential murderer on the loose in the building. She didn't know why Damien was there. In fact she didn't know if he was back to normal or crazy to the point he still didn't recognize her. He had called her by his nickname he gave her. That was a little bit of progress although not too much of it.

Quickly she grabbed her bag and took out her personal belongings and put them into her jean pockets. Then she made a small pillow to the best of her advantage and put Damien's head down on her bag. Slowly she got up and wiped her eyes and her cheeks ridding them of any stray tears that might of still been visible. She did still have a job to do in some way. Even if her paranormal evidence was null and void, Nicky and perhaps Damien would be witnesses to what went on here tonight. Even if they were skeptics, something would remind them of this night rather they believed it or not. That is if they survived the night.

The brown haired girl checked out her spirit box and her EMF detector that make sure it was working properly. Lucky for her they were a bit hefty. Being dropped now and again won't malfunction them. Carefully she made her way towards the wall and looked it over. Why was the angry spirit here? What was it protecting? Katherina put her hand out and pressed her palm to the wall. She turned and looked back at Damien before she side stepped and went out through the door into a different part of the theater. She was holding her breath not realizing she was in fact scared.

It was clear as day that the wound would leave a nasty marking that would last with Damien probably for the rest of his life. Though did it mean that he would be out for the count until the end of this ghostly night? Who knew. Blood did in fact soak his white shirt a deep deep crimson red. It wasn't exactly a shallow cut the spirit had left him. He didn't feel any movement nor did he hear Katherina's voice. He had passed out without knowing fully that she was there or not. Perhaps he was just imagining he was there with her. Being passed out like he was, it wasn't a good thing. Yes, the bleeding -- that hadn't been stopped-- was going to be a complication. Though so was the mental struggle that he was enduring. Humming filled his mind, his eyes opened-- except not in the physical world. This was the world of his mind. Humming echoed all around him, it was complete and utter darkness.

He didn't like this one bit. Wait wait what had happened? He could see a swirling mass of something, was it a swirl of black or red-- he couldn't tell. The humming was getting louder and louder. "This seems about right, ch-am-p." He could feel something so close to him, and that mocking voice. "The fuck are you on about" he got out. The cackling of the laughter left the little demon. "Why don't you go about dying. Go beddy bye for good , champ~ Ya tried to be the hero and you couldn't even save the girl. Then again ya never been able to save anyone. Poor sad little Damien. All alone in this world." As the little demon spoke more, he couldn't help but feel that maybe the other had a point. He hadn't been able to save anyone. In those moments he couldn't help but see the various deaths of Katherina playing in his head. The blood curlding scream as she was dragged away from him screaming for him to help her. He tried to run and nothing-- no matter how fast he ran, he couldn't catch up.

"Katherina!!!!" He cried out. Oh the little demon laughed "yes yes that's right. You couldn't save her. She is gone off to that big Neverland in the sky. She sacrificed herself in the end because you were weak, you were nothing at all." He felt his head being jerked up and he let out a sound of pure pain as something--- something had thrust itself into his chest. "You are nothing. Nothing but a sad piece of shit that will never be anything. You ARE the problem. Don't ya think the world would be better without ya? Hmm." He let out a louder cry as whatever that had thrust into his chest seemed to twist and the pain radiated through him. He screamed out in pain. In the world outside of his head-- his body had been left by Katherina. Blood soaked his shirt and his body was twitching on the floor in near compulsions as he fought inside his mind. All of this happening mere seconds after that door was walked through by Katherina.

Had she stayed though-- would she have been able to provide any help for poor Damien? This made the incident in Dreamland nothing. The little demon inside his mind was much more violent , an actual mental disorder by now. A split personality completely. Though what trouble was this going to cause in the end? Would Damien end up being okay? The theater was a dark place, and now there was coldness that seemed to chill the air back here. Where had the spirit run off too? If Katherina chose to look around and shine light upon the various areas around her, she would see charred areas along the walls and the rubble that she had pass through. The more she would continue to walk , she would smell the most foulest smell, even being overpowered by the smell of the burnt wood smell that had started to drift into the air.

"Danger... danger" the spirit box picked up as the EMF reader spiked red. It wouldn't just spike and fade if Katherina moved it in various ways. No it never stopped beeping loudly in her hand. It was like she was surrounded by spirits. She might have just found the reason why this theater was so haunted. This passage that she had found and walked through, it seemed to be a dirty little secret that someone wanted to hide. A hidden part of the theater that had been blocked off. Though what more was that foul smell in the air? The coldness never seemed to fade around her, she would even be able to feel light whispers of touches along her arms. "Turn back...." the spirit box went up again. This one another voice completely even despite the massive amount of white noise. Just how much death had happened in this theater? Just how long had it been covered up for?

Whatever Katherina had just walked into she regretted it immediately. The smell was absolutely putrid and foul. It instantly made her nauseas. She quickly moved her hands around reorganizing the objects she was holding so that she could cover her mouth and nose. She coughed into her hand as she shined her flashlight now looking around. Her heart sounded like it was beating loudly to the point it sounded like it was in her ears. Her white skin turning green as she suddenly felt sick to her stomach. She continued to keep going and saw all the charred walls. Then it happened. Quickly she put down her items and turned to the side and began throwing up. Whatever she ate or drink earlier had all come up and was now on the floor. Her head become dizzy as she fell over to her knees gagging. The smell was so bad.

Her spirit box was going off making contact with other spirits. Warnings from the other side for her to turn back. The brown eyed girl coughed and wiped her mouth and looked around. "What happened to you all?" She asked searching around. "Were you murdered here? What is that smell?" Her light kept looking around until she found a door. "A door...?" Her legs were shaking from the side affect of pretty much turning herself inside out and retching all over the floor. She moved to get up but suddenly she felt something take hold of her ankle which toppled her over falling hard on to the floor. Katherina sucked in air through her teeth as her knee was busted up now. Scraped and bleeding dripping down her leg. "Ow..." The spirit box once again repeated its warnings of wanting her to turn back. The voices were very, very clear.

Sometimes voices that came through could be hard to make out. Especially if the entity itself was not all that powerful. Katherina tried once again to get up feeling like her left leg was weaker from her right leg. No doubt from the gash she had just gotten. "I want to help you all! I want to send you all to heaven. This is not a good place for you to be. Please let me help you!"

Nothing good ever came from those who stuck their noses into things that they shouldn't. There was nothing good about this place, yet Katherina seemed to continue forward despite the smell. Despite her falling to her knees and unloading her guts on the floor. It was never a good sign when the spirits were warning her to turn back. The spirit box continue to play the same warnings of turning back now. They didn't answer her question. No , not a single spirit had made physical contact with her until she saw that door. It wasn't the spirits didn't want the help-- they just didn't want the girl to join them on the other side. This section was loaded with spirits, it seemed that plenty had met their end here. There was a sense of impending doom in the air now. The spirit that had harmed Damien was still somewhere. Was it back here or had it gone elsewhere? What about the murderer?

If Katherina still tried to go to the door and tried to push it open-- she would find that it didn't budge one bit. The door had been sealed shut from the outside, concrete being poured over it so as to cover up the tragedies that laid behind it. Though what had happened here? Was there records here of a fire? Of murders? Or had it been all covered up somehow? Had the packed that Katherina been handed by the owner of this place ,when she accepted the job, found the need to exclude it and play dumb? Or was perhaps they unaware completely of what was going on completely? Who knew what the truth was in this moment. Though Katherina would surely be able to tell one thing by that door-- that wasn't an exit.

The sound of something crashing down to the floor behind her seemed to echo along the walls. A steal beam, clearly having seen better days, covered in rust and charred wood gave out and came crashing down right behind Katherina, and directly in her way back to Damien. "No way... out" the white noise came through the spirit box , though this one was more interference than anything. The voice not sounding anything like the other's that had come through and warned her. Would she end up dying here? What about Damien? The smell of smoke grew strong , as did the smell of charred bodies. "Final resting place" this voice sounded husky and seemed to come through the spirit box -- but it sounded different than any of the other voices prior.

Damien shook his head. No. No. No. Yet he could feel the sense of someone or something breathing down his neck. "No? Who is gonna miss ya? Hmm. Do tell. Don't ya want to go be with Rinabell and go off to Neverland. The world doesn't need ya, all ya gotta do is give in and poof. Off to Neverland-- it is that simple." He felt arms around him , but he saw nothing in the pitch darkness that surrounded him. His eyes were open, but they might as well had not been open. "But she--" he started. He heard the hiss as the smell of smoke drifted into the workings of his mind. "We don't have fuckin time for this." He felt something squeezing his throat and he choked and gasped for air, his fingers trying to claw away at whatever was causing him pain. Then there was nothing.

Red-brown eyes opened and he sat up on the floor, hissing at the stinging. "That stubbornness is going to be your bloody downfall..." A hand went to go along the scratch marks " bloody great." He went about sliding off the leather jacket and completely taking off the white dress shirt. It was shreaded and covered in blood anyways. He could make a makeshift bandage out of it at least to stop the blood so he didn't end up bleeding out. He didn't have any intention on dying. He went about doing so while sitting on the floor where the other had left him. "Now where is that stupid little girl? I shouldn't just leave little Rina all alone-- though if it was her or me... she goes bye bye." He winced as he tied the makeshift bandage around his chest.

"Well little Damien will get battle scars out of this-- that is if I let the stubborn boy back in control." The little demon was a complicated persona, it would protect Damien, but also torment the other. He went to stand when the bandage was as good as he could make it before going to look around. To go straight, the way Katherina had gone, or go another way? He hummed as he decided to just forego going that way and continue on his merry way. The smell of smoke was slowly coming out here-- but it wasn't easy to pinpoint where the smell was even coming from.
