Darko was still savoring what he had ate as he heard @Moonsong's praises about his dish. He, as Miroslav, had been accustomed to cooking his own dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and sometimes whenever there was an impromptu board meeting, cooking for his fellow board members - for four straight years, and he thought that he would forget what it was like to cook in this world. By the dish that he tasted, that was really good, he seemed to have never lost his touch. Maybe he had missed this world, and this was his destiny. There were still many things to be unpacked here, like the VRSA blanket ban of every mention of this game, and the possibility that this was a successful foray into transhumanism; but these would be for later. And, if ever, he would hear every rumor here, once this would be successful. And so, he should never lose his touch into his passion, either in his cooking or his drive to learn more.

"Thank you for the praise. There should be more to come, in every different styles and choice of meats, vegetables, and lentils, when this will be open. There will be other dishes and drinks as well."

Darko had taken yet another two sessions of eating, as he was quite pleased in what he had cooked, when his eating partner seemed to be overwhelmed by the spiciness of the dish that he cooked, and asked for water. He then quickly materialized two large wooden mugs, one for himself and one for Moonsong, and then materialized what looked like a metal flask and then, as the underside of the flask radiated a blue light, he then poured water from it into both glasses, the flask which looked like its contents could not fill a single mug seemingly filled both mugs easily. If one would touch the mug, it would be cool to the touch as the water that was poured was really cold. Darko then said to Moonsong, "This is a magitech flask, when one would channel magic to it, it would generate water as much as the magic poured into it. It can also dispense hot and cold water when the channeler would will it. I also plan to install a large version of this in this restaurant when it will be up and running, so that one can be assured of good drinking water. Although this had its own limits: I can only generate around two gallons of water using this before I pass out due to lack of energy. Fortunately the larger version can run on something like a magical battery like all others." He then sat down again and took a sip of the mug before continuing on eating.

It can generate two gallons of water? Too bad she already gulped down like, one gallon of cold water or something. The taste is so good that she didn't want to stop downing the meat and the curry, but the spice...

Man, it builds so bad. Should have drunk the hot water.

"I think I sweated a lot more eating this than during the restaurant cleanup. I'm practically drenched." She commented with a full mouth, her cheeks burning red. Thank god this is a VR game, she doesn't have to deal with the 'aftermath' tomorrow.

Or does she?

After the constant eating and talking, the plates on the table are empty. It would be a waste to leave any of the delicious curry sauce behind. As a courtesy, Moonsong brought the plates back to the kitchen herself and cleaned them. "Let me." Walking with a tray, she placed the plates on the sink and cleaned them with the water that was left in the bucket.

Walking back to the table after wiping her hands, the girl looked outside where it was already dark. "Looks like it's already dark here. We should call it a day for now. Any plans for the next step?" She asked @Darko Ljubicic while stretching. If they really want to do this, she might have to commit to rebuilding the curry house.

Darko still continued eating while talking with @Moonsong about his former experiences in this restaurant four years ago when Ivàn was still alive. Although he became more engrossed in what he had cooked more than his own stories. This had to be one of the few times he had eaten anything this good, and some of those times he had to stomach the nasty grinning of that server every single time he had eaten in that restaurant. Now though, this would change. He was cooking and eating his own meals anyway whenever he was set on his travels, so this should settle everything.

But sadly the hearty meal came to an end, and Darko had managed to come up with an almost clean plate after he had used the roti to soak up every remaining sauce on it. Although by the end of the meal he felt his shirt underneath the navy jacket being quite heavy because of all the sweat, same thing for his pants and socks underneath his boots. Maybe he would need to have a bath after the end of this successful service, as he had always did years ago. He then stood up from his chair, readjusted his shirt and tie that he had unconsciously loosened while eating, and was about to pick up the plates when Moonsong picked them up before him as she then went to the kitchen to wash them.

"Looks like muscle memory is acting up again huh? I thought I should be the one doing that." He then said with a grin. As Moonsong then pointed out that it was going dark, and discussing the plans for the future, he then replied, "Tomorrow, I will put up some posters in the city bulletin board to ask for more help in rebuilding this restaurant. I have set the meeting for next week same day as now, so, if ever, I am ready with the needed materials and tools by that time. I also commissioned a moving service to deliver those materials and tools, as well as appliances, tableware, and furniture which would be ready the day before the grand renovation. So, if ever you want to continue the work we have done here, you can come next week so that you will be ready." He then generated a bag of gold coins and handed it over to her. "Your payment for a job well done."

"That would be rude to the chef, wouldn't it?" She jokingly replied when @Darko Ljubicic told her that he should be the one doing the dishes. Overall, there's a bright future for this legendary establishment to shine again. What the next hurdle though, they are yet to find out. "Next week, huh? I should be rather free. Oh, wait." She opened her palm UI to send a message.

Notice

Moonsong has shared her contact details with you.

"There, contact me if you need any help. I'll also be there next week to help."
What she didn't expect is being handed a bag of gold coins as soon as she closed the UI. She weighed the bag, "This-this is.." too much for the scale of the job she had done. But she was taught to not question others' goodwill. So Moonsong accepted it, bowing down to show her appreciation, as per her custom. "Thank you very much."

Moonsong helped store back the cleaning equipment and the cooking utensils before saying goodbye. As she walked out of the restaurant, she looked at the moon shining brightly, lighting up the newly-repaired sign in front of the restaurant. She smiled and walked away into the darkness of the city.

Ivàn, whoever he is, his legacy will continue.

...

But his stink shouldn't stick around though.

As Darko saw the notification, he then quickly pressed the check mark button. It would not hurt to keep a contact within reach when he would plan to open the restaurant and he would be in need of helpers. She was really a great help to him and he would be greatly pleased to have her as an employee and business partner. That is, if she would agree.

As he then accompanied her to the main door and they had said their goodbyes, he then looked at the current state of the restaurant. There were still many things to be done, but at least everything was settled. He had re-established contracts with the restaurant's former suppliers and trading partners, and filled out the niche of those which could not due to death or ruination. The appliances and furniture were near their completion as well as the materials for building. Everything was in order, and only needed to be delivered once they were complete. The only thing he would lack are people who will try their best to renovate this shop. Tomorrow he had to make a notice for those who want to assist in renovation, and the pay for them should be good enough. And their meals while working must be good enough also. Maybe he should give those suppliers a small trial.
