Amy was currently on a trip to Falderen to get some fruits.

It was something they had to do from time to time. Food wasn't exactly plentiful in Zalra, so crossing the border to Falderen to get some supplies was a semi-regular necessity.

Usually speaking, someone else would go... As in, someone who could actually see, but Amy insisted that she could do it, and that she wanted to do it.

The other nomads were worried, but Amy insisted enough until they trusted her with the task... Amy was glad. Amy was happy to be useful. She knew everyone else had better things to do than her anyways.

And so, here she was... Walking alone in a forest. Carefully moving her cane around until it hit a tree, then blindly moving her hand around the trunk until she could find a branch... Assuming she could reach any, and then moving her hand around the branch to see if she could find any fruit, hopefully one that she could recognize from touch, to be sure it was something that was safe to eat.

When she found a suitable fruit, she'd throw it into a basket and repeat the process. It was a very slow method of gathering, but Amy did not mind it. She had the time, and she was being useful for her family.

Of course, there was a risk of monster attacks, but Eastern Brisshal was much safer than Zalra, so Amy wasn't particularly worried about that. She was expecting this to be a pretty peaceful trip.

Right now, her biggest worry was... Getting this apple out of the tree. Her hand had reached it, and she was sure it was an apple from the texture, but... It was just a tiny bit too high up. She couldn't get a good enough grip on it to pull it out... Even after standing on the tip of her toes, Amy was still struggling... "Come on..." She muttered as she kept trying to pull and it kept slipping her hand.

"Here."

Amy could feel the rough texture of the fruit resting in her hands in unison with a voice behind her. A person, much taller, was standing right behind the little Faerin. A person tall enough to have zero trouble reaching any of the low-hanging fruit.

It wasn't unlike someone creeping up right behind someone else and going 'Hey!', just that this someone else was smiling all friendly - not even creepy - and considering she only saw the backside of Amy, unaware of the other girl's blindness.

While Amy was pretty comfortable in Eastern Brisshal, and really didn't expect any trouble to reach her, she still tried to pay attention to the sounds surrounding her. It was just common sense. Better safe than sorry, after all.

However, perhaps because of her focus on getting this one apple out of the tree, she ended up failing to notice a certain person's steps as she was approached from behind.

And well, to suddenly feel the apple all of a sudden on her hand, right after it had slipped again, together with the voice coming from behind... Well, Amy was not prepared for this.

"Kyaaaaaaaaa!" She wasn't prepared at all as she jumped in place while entering her evoked form. Ready to fly away as fast as she could.

Three things stopped her from leaving though.

First, the specifics of the situation, with someone just saying 'here' and giving her the apple were starting to dawn on her, and she was starting to realize she was not in danger.

Second, her high jump, which was powered up by her evoked wings, made her hit her head on a tree branch, which stopped her from getting too far.

Most importantly though... The surprise made her drop both her newly-acquired apple and her trusty walking cane. The only reason the apple basket wasn't dropped too, was because it was being held directly by Amy's arm.

Still... This was quite the troublesome situation. Amy had not planned for this at all.

She immediately dropped back to the ground, then got on all fours and started fumbling around with her hands, searching for her walking cane. Panicking a bit inside while wondering what was going to happen to her if she lost it.

However, she was still composed enough to remember someone was near, so she figured she'd ask for help, as this was no time to worry about pride, "I'm sorry, but could you offer me your aid in finding my walking cane? I am at quite the loss without it." The apple had completely fled Amy's mind by now. She was also only vaguely aware of the basket that was hanging from her arm at this point. It currently felt like a random thing that was getting in the way of her movement, definitely not an important item that was going to bring some food home to her family.
