Rokishire (10:00 AM) [Cycle 0]

Chirping birds and azure tinted air from the morning sun signaled the dawn of a new day. September 22nd - The day of the Harvest Moon. From the reaches of Eastern Brisshal, the once vibrantly verdant fauna would begin to turn. From green to sunset golds and reds. Each blade of grass becoming dry and yellowed. This was the day the Ad was posted for a fortnight ago. Tonight, the Moon would appear larger than normal, and mimic the shape and colors traditionally associated with Autumn and late October. A beautiful sight that villagers and adventurers would travel far and wide to come witness. To see the wonderous, transformative nature of the oncoming winter.

A pudgy man drummed his fingers idly on the wooden counter. His double chin and loose cheeks resting on a hand that was propped up by an elbow. Drowning out his tapping foot, were the stomps and talks of young men who carried barrels, putting them into three different stacks, and double checking that each contained the fluid matching the rest in their stack. He finally pushed away from the counter, taking a deep breath and walking past the array of mugs and cups. There was a door to the right of the main counter if you were facing toward it and inward. One that led into a room of stone, center-pieced by a long wooden table that had three layers to it. That table was flanked on either side by round, brick structures that had openings underneath and loads of coal. One with a top of flat, black obsidian and four chalk circles drawn on it. The other, a bell-shaped object bigger than even this fat Innkeeper was, with a wooden window leading into it, pulled open from the top and hinged at the bottom. To the far end, boxes with various supplies scrawled onto it. With a wave of his hand, he applied another wave of cool air to it, keeping some of them refrigerated toward the back.

The man walked back out, now holding a rag and sighing. Wiping up the rest of the stains from the large round tables that were arrayed around the room. Moments passed, and he stood, pushing one of the stools with the edge of his foot back closer to it. Already, the residents from the night before began to wake up from their stupors. Wandering downstairs and needing some attendance. The Pudgy man obliged, but his patience was wearing thin. A check of his wooden sundial just outside the near window. showed that it was now approaching late morning. Hopefully someone would answer his call, and be prepared to take on the day. The portly man stood up straight, his hands clasped, eagerly awaiting any arrivals to answer his ad, and together, they could make some real money.

IN THE TAVERN
Below is a list of the resources and stations within the tavern. Remember to keep your smile wide, and your energy high!
Kitchen

In the Kitchen are a Stove, Oven, and various cooking utensils including knives, pots, pans, plates, cutlery and coal for the fires. The patrons of the Rokishire will need something to fill their stomachs. Their orders will range from simple to complex. Below, a list of resources that one will need properly balanced and rationed.
  • 300/300 Main Course - Meat, Eggs, Pastries, Poultry and Fish, all necessary for large meals with a center piece.
  • 300/300 Secondary - Bread, Fruit, Vegetables, and Cheese. Often the most sought after light meals, but vital in making something more tantalizing.
  • 200/200 Ingredients - Various Spices, Salt, Sugar, Milk. Used to make simple dishes into something more complex, tasty meals. A little dash of any of these could really make a customer more satisfied with their dish.
Workers will need to work together to fulfill orders, or use this as a simple way to placate more chaotic elements of the patronage.

Counter

The center of income and outgo of the Rokishire. From here, the worker will book the rooms, take the food orders, and accommodate guests' special needs. Prices are all relative, and everyone is looking for the best deal they can get. Different patrons can afford different things, and sometimes its important to make compromises to make them happy, and get them to come back or stay several nights. But, the Inn can only give so much before the deals become almost predatory. Someone generous but firm will need to correctly book the rooms, and get the appropriate prices. This is also the place where Drinks are ordered and tapped from, guests want to relax after a long day. And what better way than to make sure they stay inebriated? Makes dealing with them a lot easier too, if one can properly liquor their customers up.
  • Alcohol
    • 25/25 Wine
    • 50/50 Ale
    • 100/100 Mead
  • Available Rooms
    • Falder Room 1/2
    • Starbound Suite 3/3
    • Hovelis Rest 4/5
    • A Bed 8/10

Service & Seating

This is the main attraction of any Tavern during the night time. Ultimately, people come to these locales such as the Rokishire not for the food, or for a roof to sleep under, but for a place to rest and relax. To kick their feet up, and engage in games of gambling, or tales with their fellow travelers, or to simply grab a drink and enjoy the entertainment. The Floor, it is called by the pudgy man, is a hectic mess of dancing, singing, joking, rough housing, and card games. It requires someone with some amount of fortitude, mental or physical, to navigate the cramped walkways, delivering drinks and food, taking other orders, and socializing with customers who need it. It's important that whoever does such a job be able to memorize what has been requested, while also not being fleeced or heckled into giving more than what was asked or paid for. Those on the floor will also act as mediators for the rules of Inn, keeping the noise and violence to an acceptable minimum, so that the more calm patrons can enjoy their time, stress-free. They don't have resources to manage, but rather, deal with issues as they come up. The floor consists primarily of two dozen or so round tables of varying radii, each surrounded by chairs that are sure to get moved around and crowded throughout the day. Try to make sure the corners don't get cramped, please!

Entertainment

And at the center of it all, to one side of the room, a large, oval shaped elevation of laminated oak, sanded down and lacquered to perfection. The back of it is supported by a brick fireplace for warmth, the stage for the entertainment. One easy way to keep patrons engaged, and drag them to whatever mood you'd like them to be in. Very important for the flow of business, Entertainer's will need to keep their energy consistent and not be too jarring to the overall atmosphere of the patrons present. Though, entertainers will be left on their own, with no direction. Sometimes, it might be better to have extra hands in the other stations, and give the patrons a moment of reprieve from the stimulus.

Cellar

Down the stairs by the counter is a hatch door with a ladder leading down. Stored here are aging wines and cheeses, as well as rodent repellent, and additional barmaid/barman outfits. Quiet, with old stools and a place to draw and even a small straw bed hidden in a corner behind some of the wooden pillars holding the building up, this is a place where exhausted or stressed out workers can take a moment and rest themselves. Just long enough to rejuvenate their energy and willingness to keep working.

Cycle 0 - Getting Ready

Ruby's ears twitched as she tied the headdress, her head tilted when adjusting her apron to try and have a better angle of it. Finally, a gentle maid spun to have an overlook and to make sure her dress, apron, and many other accessories would remain in place no matter how rowdy things got in the tavern.

Her two tails swayed in satisfaction, but there was one last thing she needed to wear before going...

Tracing her fingers to the edge of her lips, she tugged them upwards, showing a forced smile. Her lips pursed, she crossed her arms and took a moment to breathe and think about things that made her happy. Everything from food, games, and music crossed her mind until the reminder of a few people and her time spent with them made her lips perk up slightly.

Her eyes went up to look at the reflection again. It was faint, but it was genuine.

She was ready.

Getting out of the changing room, she hurried to meet the others, clearing her throat and looking up (and sometimes down) at them. "Sorry for taking a bit." She said, twitching her left ear, slightly uncomfortable because of the headdress. "What is everyone's strength in here?" Ruby wondered.

"I personally can sing, play, and dance, but I already see there are other talented people in here." She said, casting a glance at the familiar beastfolk girl. "But I am also used to serving people... And I do cook for myself at home." Ruby said, also looking at the tavernkeeper, that was certainly eager to get some profit in this special day, so maybe he had an idea of what to do.

Moonsong went to go help in the tavern with one idea in mind; she heard they are paying a lot.

It was the Harvest Moon, after all, the tavern was bound to get extra help if they want to pocket every coin they can. With confident steps, she walked into the establishment, waving at the pudgy man behind the counter and moving towards him. "Howdy, I came here after seeing the ad. You're the boss?" She placed the ad paper on the counter.

Not long after, a group of part-timers was assembled, consisting of travelers, and including one @Kyra Vashtana with whom she had already acquainted. A cat beastfolk came out from the backroom already looking prepared with a proper outfit, which made her think twice working in the busy tavern in an imposing full black metal armor. "Do we also need to suit up?" Moonsong asked the tavern keeper, pointing at @Crimson Ruby.

As the others introduced themselves and their own specialty, the brunette stepped forwards. "Moonsong. I am good with my sharp tongue, be it to defuse noise, shut down violence, and make the tavern more lively with some singing performance."

She quickly added while making a gripping gesture with her claw gauntlets, "Oh, also a muscle if anything goes wrong. Pray it doesn't need to happen tonight."

So far, every traveler she met on Honeymoon seemed to have a hivemind like opinion when it comes 'playing the game': Beat things up with your sharp toothpick or the power of gods, whatever you started the game with. A boring way to see things when such a wonderful albeit virtual world spreads as far as the eye can see.

That's when this inn's request really clicked. LITTLE DOGGO didn't even need to change herself, she already had an apron of her own as part of her regalia with colourful front pouches sewn together as a personal request to a kind old lady (usually the best tailors in the world in her experience!). Excitement had her hopping her way across the inn. The urge to check the kitchen had her taking a peek past the door that lead straight to it. A stove, oven, she couldn't see any utensils but that was relative to just how tall everything was compared to her. She didn't have much expectations for it, but given how clean everything is and the sensation that everything was where it should be, it clearly shows care was put into this inn and the burly keeper didn't let any room go to waste!

A voice called back however, the clear sign for her to make haste and head back with these unfamiliar faces. Friendly for the most, all but one of them who gave her the CHILLS, and her skillset combined with such hellish armor just confirmed the sensation her spine warned her about!

Y-you look pretty spooky, sis...

DOGGO could barely stare at @Moonsong for so long, she could faint right here and now if she took notice of her poor little self. With all that armor it was fair to call her a feminine, human rendition of the Nian. Fortunately, a noisy inn means she has nothing to worry about if she really is the Nian! Besides, if she's working in an inn, no matter how spoopy, she can't be so bad right?

But I don't think anybody will mess with you with all that stuff on! Not me at least.

In contrast to the imposing Moonsong is a hello kitty maid with twin tails, @Crimson Ruby, the one who went straight to changing and just now shows up with a look that gives the cute to the tavern, a perfect balance between the both, like Yin like Yang!

Well I'm a good cook! I wish I could say dancer too but I'm kinda small compared to you all. I won't even get noticed.

She said, shrugging off seconds after, giving others the turn to introduce themselves before directing her attention back at the tavernkeeper, who everyone had a question for. DOGGO waited to take her turn, clasping her hands together to play with her thumbs.

Mister, I'm gonna need a stool and someone with longer legs than mine on the kitchen. The stool's to reach the table-

The tall person to pick me up so I can get stuff from the shelves.

She'd seen the advertisement a few times before she'd decided to answer it - a decision she'd made only after much consideration, and the realisation that someone else she knew was supposed to be here. As Kyra made her way into the tavern, a location she had not frequented in her time playing Terrasphere, she realised something rather immediately; she'd never stepped foot in a tavern. She had no idea what was expected of her, what she was supposed to do here...the only thing she knew is that it required help.

"Ruby! You look...nine hells..."

The compliment died on her lips as she saw her friend, dressed in what appeared to be the most expensive, and perfectly fitting barmaid uniform that Kyra figured could be found in the game. She glanced over at the others, seeing a few individuals that she recognised, and a few that she'd not yet met before. Almost naturally, she sidled up against Ruby, smiling at Moonsong as she spotted the other player.

"So uh...any idea what we're doing here tonight? I mean other than like...serving?"

At least I wore something tavern-appropriate... She glanced down at her own outfit, feeling far from visually appearing compared to the others. Ears twitching in embarrassment, she fluffed the front of her uniform as she determined there'd be one thing she'd do tonight - cling to Ruby.

▣ Action: Clinging to Ruby while awaiting directions.

Vina had seen the ad, and while she wouldn't normally spend the day of the harvest moon working at a tavern she imagined that if the owner was asking random people for assistance he was facing a shortage of personnel. Given how important it was for tavern owners to make the most of such celebrations it would have been callous of her to dismiss the request.

That, and she liked the atmosphere taverns had. Always filled with life and cheer, as people found opportunities to enjoy themselves and have fun in the company of others, even if sometimes their joy came from a bottle.

Which was how the vixen ended up walking through the doorway of the tavern just as she heard someone ask what they would be doing here tonight. Given that everyone who went to a tavern to eat, socialise, and get drunk knew what they were here for, Vina imagined that was someone else who'd answered the ad.

Oh, I see I'm on the late side. Good day to all of you~! (Spotting Ruby amongst the others she gave the feline a raised hand as additional greeting.) Quite a few of us here, I see. And from the looks of it I'd say that the owner can count himself quite lucky with the turnout~

Her long tail swished from side to side behind her as she joined the group, dressed as usual. She gave each of them a warm smile before focusing on the question she'd heard while walking in.

There's always a lot to do in a tavern, but personally I'm interested in the empty stage over there~ I'm at my best when performing, but I can also help serve the customers in more practical ways~ But before that, while I already know Ruby I'd like to ask all of you your names. Mine's Vina~

▣ Action: Joining the others and introducing self.

Cycle 0: Preparing

Azzy made sure to give herself an early start in her travels so that she could find the inn she'd heard needed help. More like overheard, as two other players had been talking about it once they saw it. Hearing their dismissal had inspired her to try and take it into her own hands. Despite this early rise, the time it took her to find the place was just past satisfactory.

Her lip-biting look of frustration soon enough had transformed into a smile however forced once she'd finally confirmed she was in the right place, and she paused just to the side of the entrance once inside to listen. Not to everything, but to something in particular: transactions. With a lack of physical sight, smell, or taste, her sense of hearing was able to be tuned like a radio. A satellite, which told the girl to dismiss the cane made of light blue magic in her hand and step around people based on the footsteps against the much louder wood than the ground outside.

Finally, she arrived at the counter and waited her turn with a polite smile as she looked ahead at nothing in particular. Her bright blue, pupil-less eyes did nothing to hide the fact that she was blind, especially with the duller circle where the black would be adding an emptiness to otherwise lively eyes. "Pardon me." She waited for what she believed to be an opportune time to get the manager's attention. "I was made to believe this establishment was in need of volunteers on this day. Is that true?"

She listened simultaneously to the man's response and the in-and-out responses of another group gathered nearby. They were all also speaking about working on this day. "Could it be that the people I hear over there," she pointed vaguely in their direction, "are other volunteers here to help you?" Certain the man was uncertain about the young blind girl's capabilities as any sensible person would be, she made sure to make the effort to seem as though she would be assisting the actual volunteers, just in a very small way. The less he expected from her, the more amazed he would be later.

-- -- --

With little holding her back but to wait for everyone to introduce themselves to each other, Azykia slowly approached the group with her every step gentle, measured, and in a noticeable and particular rhythm, as though she were counting them in groups.

"My apologies if I'm intruding on this conversation needlessly, but if I'm not mistaken, you're all here to volunteer as well, are you not?"

The girl's long, blonde hair was fashioned into loops and tails, with several hair ornaments adorning it such as a white bow on the right of her head, a pink, jeweled hairband pulling her hair in together a bit just below neck-level, and a couple of metal hairclips near the ends on each side with different cute little designs on them. Her pale skin had makeup carefully applied to it, with a light blush, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss--really, a little bit of a lot of things. Just as touched up were her nails, which were painted different colors and designs using purple, turquoise, and bright magenta.

With her yukata in pristine condition and a level stance with hands together in front of her lap politely, she looked more like the daughter of someone who owned the land the inn had been built upon rather than someone who should be working in it. A noble of sorts, who earnestly took the time and care to make sure she looked the part.

She gave a curtsy to the five who had gathered. "My name is Azzy, and I'm blind." As she rose from her bow and returned to her proper posture, she smiled just a bit more as though to accentuate her words. "I also have no sense of smell, nor taste. That all is why I think I would best be put to use working up front at the check-in counter." She tilted her head to the right and smiled even more now, even closing her eyes. "But I suppose I would be happy to assist you all however you would allow me."

The pudgy man watched the volunteers enter one by one. Filtering in throughout the hour, as patrons did the same. Many of whom having just woken up from the night before, and much like the owner, were already lifting eyebrows and pointing to the women who were dressed up in order to act as workers of the Inn for the day. An answer to @Moonsong with her question about doing the same. "It 'ill raise their spirits if you do so! Professionalism, all that." He said with a wide, toothy grin and a raised finger.

"You ladies will need to figure it out amongst yourselves." He said with a wave to @Little Doggo with his head craned down to her. Two people in the kitchen certainly sounded like things would run smoother than one, but might leave the floor emptier. He managed to run the last few days alone with only a single helper, so these six could certainly figure it out, right?

@Azykia answered her own question, before the pudgy man could stop her and insist upon her not helping. A Blind girl, how much could she do? Though, it didn't take sight to sell rooms and charge prices for everything. Help was help, who was he to complain about someone wanting to work who could do it?

"I must go pick up an order from the nearby town centre, by the Longhouse. Yous are suited up and ready to go. What do you say we start the day?" The pudgy man placed a sausagey set of fingers on @Kyra Vashtana 's shoulder as a way of ushering the rest of the party along. "Room pricing is listed on a parchment under the counter. Food is a bit harder. A piece of toasted bread I will charge a single coin for. The meat is far more expensive, even a carton of eggs costs me a dozen or so just to get ahold of."

---

Already, there were people lazing about at the tables. Pairs, threes, even fours. A group of three Faerin, and a pair of Human and Elf practically attached at the hip wandered in through the open half-doors of the front of the tavernhall. Aside from them, Patrons from the tavern hall rubbed their eyes, and looked at empty trays. Of those who walked in, a Faerin made their way to the counter, asking if this Inn could service Original Sin needs, as two of their travelling circle had now gone nearly two weeks without anything satisfactory in that regard. The chatter began, a low hum of tired Bees trying to get through the early morning. Among them, the relationshipped pair of Human and Elf sat, taking their jackets and hats off, and resting in a deep corner. A lone man drummed his fingers, his head slightly tilted down in thought, though suited up in full leather gear. His foot tapping nervously, in a slow, rhythmic tone. An easy start to the day, if any in the party could show some initiative and begin moving ahead with the plan, now left behind by the pudgy owner to run this tavern by themselves.

12:00 PM

Three Food orders have been placed, looking for something simple. Something just to stave off the morning growling of stomachs. One Patron, a lone beastfolk woman has requested a Full Breakfast, whatever the hell that means. Payment will need to be reaped, preferably while they are still at the counter making their orders.

There are currently no Main Dishes being prepared.

The floor is currently Disorganized with random sizes of groups sitting at large and small tables. This may incur penalties to the overall Mood and Satisfaction of customers, as well as against the rolls of getting orders straight.

Some of the customer's wants are being lost amongst the crowd, either too tired or timid to get up and go to the counter directly to make their orders. Perhaps they could be overheard with the right skills, or approached by someone friendly.

Most of those still asleep in their rooms are doing so on borrowed time. There are Two 'A Bed' suites that are overdue for payment, or in need of emptying.

The current Mood of the tavern is Sleepy. Business is slow going, the patrons are in a stupor, still thinking about their day ahead and some waking up from a late night before. They will be less inclined to spend money on their own, or make their wants known. Maybe that's a good thing?

The Stage is currently Empty.

Maybe there are more details to be found with a closer inspection?

Cycle 1: Room Service

"All right, all right." She went to the backrooms, looking for a maid uniform that suited her size. The tavern was quite prepared; there were a dozen of outfits ready and freshened. Soon, she came back wearing a French maid-looking dress, looking at small @Little Birb and winking. "Still looking scary?" Of course she is, she didn't even bother to remove the makeup and the pointy-crown headband. Maybe some customers are into gothic maids though. Probably a plus point for her.

After their task was roughly laid out by @Azykia, Moonsong went to check on the room prices under the counter, before going straight to the two problematic rooms. It's 12PM, and it seemed that the patrons drank too much and slept through the day. Knocking on one of the doors, Moonsong prepared her most polite smile and will try not to defenestrate anyone. "Excuse me." The maid knocked.

"Ah?" Not ten seconds have passed, a middle-aged man opened the door, his breath still reeking of booze. He just woke up and did not realize the time. She bowed down to greet him, "It's 12PM, sir. Do you want to extend your stay?" The man tried to gather his focus, before answering. "Oh, no. I'll pack up and go. Wait." He tried to find his pouch under the bed, before handing the girl the exact amount for the room. The girl smiled, glad that she doesn't have to throw hands. "Thank you, sir. I'll be back in thirty minutes." He closed the door and packing noises could be heard from the room. Now onto the next one.

The next room doesn't have any problems whatsoever, with the young adventurer staying there actually ready to check out and go. "Thank you for the payment." She thanked the customer after counting the coins. Unfortunately, the room was a mess, but thirty minutes was enough for her to clean whatever the adventure was drinking there. The other room was a different beast, though. There were so many booze bottles that she had to walk around twice to take out the trash.

Kyra straightened herself, hands folding in front of her and a smile plastered on her face that - hopefully - displayed more confidence than she was actually feeling. Her eyes scanned the area, before lighting up as she noticed that there were a number of people simply sitting around. Perfect...a nice easy start to the work. Just need to...approach them, and convince them to leave or buy more! There shouldn't be anything difficult about that. Just...big smile!

"Alright...I'm gonna head over and see if anyone at the tables needs anything more, or if they're ready to head out for the day! Night...day-night!"

She bounced away from the group, heading over to each of the occupied tables and attempting her cheery approach with the patrons she found. Her tail swished behind her in a nervous manner as she approached the first patron, but her face beamed with false confidence.

"Uhm...hello sir! I just wanted to check and see if there was anything you needed, or if you were just getting ready to make your way home! I just happened to see that you were comfortable here, and figured I'd pop over!"

She had a notebook and pen out - this one a small, purple flipbook that she'd found at a market not long ago. She waited, smile plastered on her face and pen at the ready for a response. Not so bad...just like the emergency encampment, but with food!

She bounced between the few patrons that were still seated, bounding up to each with the same confident smile on her face, regardless of the previous encounter. She made notes as she went, either taking down orders of noting those who stated they were just on their way out, knowing that it would be useful to look back on at a later time.

Cycle 1 - Floor

Giving one last adjustment to her dress, Ruby took off to the floor with a calm expression. Her sensible ears twitched, trying to snatch bits and pieces of what the customers were saying. Some muttered uncertainty, others muttered impatience, others even laziness.

Ruby peered at the entrance, noticing a trio and a singular man stepping in.

Approaching, Ruby smiled gently, using her Primal Aura to flutter in the customers senses that she was glad to see them, and to give them a warm and welcoming feeling. "Welcome to Rokishire," Ruby bowed lightly, already gesturing for them to follow her. "May I take you to a table?"

"A-Ah, actually-" The first elf spoke, a bit sheepish. "We just want a room," The second smiled. "For now!" The last, more cheerful, rose his finger for emphasis.

"Oh, in this case-" She peered at the man who was by himself, then looked at @Kyra Vashtana, perking her ears up and using her Primal Aura to catch her attention, then pointing at her. "If it isn't much to ask, please talk with my lovely coworker over there. She will bring you to a nice room." Ruby said, letting the elves to be taken care of Kyra before turning her attention to the man, who was already impatient and tapping his foot.

"Please come with me, mister," Ruby said, turning to lead him to a smaller table, taking note of his order. "What would you wish?"

The man adjusted himself on his seat. "A mead." He said straightforwardly.

"Alright, that will be three gold coins," Ruby said, pretty much mimicking what she usually listen in other taverns.

The man simply handwaved, as if gesturing for her to hurry up.

Ruby took off, going to snatch a mead and pour on a mug before hurrying back to his table, resting it on the table and smiling warmly. "Here, sir."

"Took you long enough-" He huffed, placing the coins on the table for Ruby to collect.

Cycle 1: Entertainment

It looked like everyone was getting ready to get to work, although Vina had to admit she was a bit concerned about the blonde girl who'd just arrived. She wasn't going to openly question Azzy's decision to help out, but being blind meant that she'd have to be careful.

However, now was not the time to dally with pointless worrying.

It looks like we don't have too many people up and about yet, so I'll go and create some ambience. I don't think I need a maid outfit for that either, but call me if any of you needs some extra hands~

The stage was tempting her, and seeing how things were still pretty peaceful at the moment the vixen didn't waste any time stepping onto the elevated floor, her tail happily swishing behind her. Few things made her as happy as having an audience to perform for, regardless of the size or the composition. As long as she could work her magic.

Of course, as a performer, she did have to keep the audience in mind. This early in the day there weren't many people, and they'd still be in a fairly relaxed mood. Rather than trying to wake them all up with an energetic song it was better to first make them feel at ease and welcome in the tavern, stimulating them without energising them. Once the tavern got a bit more lively she could pick up the pace with her music as well.

With that in mind, the pale-haired vixen pulled a lute out of thin air, humming to herself as she tested the strings to make sure they were all in good condition. Once she was satisfied she closed her eyes and began to pluck the strings in earnest, the song playing itself out inside of her mind before it was released into the room through her fingers working the lute. Her body would softly sway along with the song, and as she kept playing a soft breeze would pick up and swirl around her, carefully contained so it wouldn't touch anyone but herself.

The breeze would have a practical purpose as well: she had her hands full with the lute, but through careful manipulation of the breeze she could turn the air into a flute, her magic allowing her to play two instruments at once.

 Cycle 1 : Counter > Kitchen.

So many surprises! For one, a fox girl who seemed straight out of pre-historic era with the very few pieces of clothing she wore, but surprisingly capable with language given her introduction. On the other hand, the complete opposite, but a kid of her age apparently. Or so she assumed, given her height it was clear she's no Faerin, but her features are unmistakeably that of a kid like herself. Only... Her mannerisms didn't quite fit her, a disconnection, much like her brain and her eyes had one.

I'm Little Doggo! But you can call me Lil' Birb!

She waved at both of them. Her spirits wouldn't drop in the slightest, no matter how sad it is that @Azykia is not only blind, but cursed with makeup. That's boring stuff adults and clowns put on when they are shy of their faces.

Still looking scary?

When LIL' DOGGO gave a second look back at @Moonsong , praying not to faint on spot, the woman did a twirl and gave her a wink, now wearing something completely different. With the eyes of a judge, LIL DOGGO crossed her right arm over her chest, left elbow resting on top as she held her chin in thoughtful manner.

Hmmm.... Hm-hm.

She noded to herself just a few times, squinting her eyes seconds before the final veredict came, with one powerful thumbs up to the super tall Ashen Maid!

Kě ài!

Everyone begun to move to their assigned tasks, with both Kyra and Ruby making their way to awaken and deal with the current clientele, and their ashen lady heading upstairs once she and Azykia spoke about defenestrating people? whatever that meant, probably not good given the enthusiasm of the not-so evil but still evil-looking maid.

On the other hand, Azykia left her in charge of the Counter for just a liiiil bit for her to do what any blind manager would rightfully do: Check the dark cellar alone. Because of course, blindness beats darkness, so she has nothing to be afraid of.

Pushing the chair closer behind the counter, LIL' DOGGO found the means to increase her height just enough to reach the counter. Hopefully no one would feel bothered about such a short counter-keeper.

"Excuse me." A voice beckoned to her, catching her attention almost immediately. "Are you in charge of the counter?" Hesitant in tone, with a polite smile as to try and show he means no offense with that.

Yes. Welcome to... Rokishire!

Was that the name of the town or the inn? No clue! Clearing her throat, LIL' DOGGO clasped her hands together, elbows against the counter.

"Thank you, we are looking for a room with a bed large enough for two if it's possible. Are there any services included? I must say we are not from around here, my beloved and I just left Redchron, so we are not completely aware of these little details." Oscir dragged a sigh out of his lips, the deer-folk scratching at the back of his neck. His partner soon gave him a comforting pat on the back and smiled back at him.

Redchron! I heard the heat is terrible there, yucks. No worries, we got real good ventilation here. Now...

She paused to look under the counter at the list of taken rooms corresponding to each 'tier', pulling the ink bottle over the counter.

I recommend the Hovelis Rest. It's got enough space to accomodate two people, and enough room you won't have nothing to worry about if you are traveling light. BUT, we also have the Falder Room.

It's far more expensive, sure. BUT it has enough to grant good rest to two travelers like yourselves, missus and mister. Not only is it better than our suites, but if you can think of any great hero, then they certainly took the Falder Room... And it has room service too, yes.

She puffed her chest proudly, yet to be fair she wasn't surea about that last one, but they could make do right? The team wouldn't just get mad at her for giving them more work so long as the pay's good?

Oscir and Lyvelle stared at eachother, with Lyvelle taking the lead this time around, sweet-voiced as a deer mama could be, figuring poor Oscir just couldn't say 'no' to the little Faerin. "We probably can't afford the Falder Room sadly. So we'll be taking your first option, does seven gold coins sound good enough?"

But of-

Wait wot? Sorry my ears are kinda small could you repeat that? Did you say Hovelis Rest not... Falder Room?

"Oh i'm sorry for your ears, but Indeed we'll take Hovelis Rest, please."

For a second she was at loss. She figured this was a perfect argument for them to take the Falden Room. It had everything! Even the newly-included, Little Doggo approved, room service!

With no more words left, Doggo rubbed her temples and beamed back up with plastic confidence, dipping a quill in the ink and turning back one page from her list.

Sounds perfect. I'm sorry to bother! Last thing: Names?

"Oscir and Lyvelle." The pair smiled quietly, almost ready to hit the hay. They could have pulled back one or two coins, but by now Oscir couldn't stand on his two feet any longer. Doggo wrote it all on cursive, right under The Hovelis Rest, handing the pair over a key once they left their payment on the table and gave one last wave back at the Faerin before heading to their appointed resting place.

Stashing the coins under the counter, LIL' DOGGO hopped off as soon as she could get a glimpse of Azykia, who with no doubt was key on helping her out with the most vital aspect of the kitchen: Knowledge. Aside of skill, that is-

Never again doing customer service. Talking to people is so tiresome...

At least now she was in her element, her area, where she didn't have to deal with clients except for their complaints if a bee got in their magic lizard soup: The kitchen!

First things first, she had to get familiar with where everything is, besides the oven and griller, which were big enough, impossible to miss at this point, yet where the utensils, pots and cutting tables were... All these were essentials, and so she took a few minutes to tour around, opening every shelf as if treasure could be around the corner. It was exciting to imagine that, at least. The Innkeeper's stash hidden under the kitchen would be such an adventure!

When enough time had gone, DOGGO gave looks back at the list and recipes proposed by Azykia. Given what they had in store and what's currently at hand, she had to make sure to prepare every single order without overdoing it, and oh she set her hands to work, first dealing with ham and bacon alike, slicing it carefully as to not chop a finger off. Next, with an iron skillet and a snap of her fingers to form a flame, she would crack the eggs carefully, seasoning them minutes later as she dealt with one. Big. Issue: doing toasted bread without a toaster...

Hopefully being slightly burnt on the edges wouldn't be a complaint she gets...

▣ Action: Took care of the couple approaching the counter then headed straight to the kitchen to cook all 3 orders! (except the Original Sin one)

Cycle 1: Preparing But Again and Better and also More
Injured (Right Upper Leg)
-10 HP (Putting my heart into customer service, almost literally)
-3 SP (Communicating a plan)
-2 SP (Taking Inventory of the Cellar)
-10 SP (Preparing a unique treat for the Faerin travelers)

Introduction

As the team of six was left to their own devices for the time being, Azzy wasted little time in offering suggestions of a game plan as everybody corroborated their strengths vocally. Mere suggestions progressively became more expatiation as she talked things out with her team.

"It seems that for the most part, we all have strengths and interests separate from one another, with a little bit of overlap. That's not a bad thing, though. We'll need people who can cover each other during breaks. For the most part, I think prioritizing customer satisfaction is going to be the way to go. It gives us a backbone for when people wish to invent problems in our establishment. Speaking of backbone, it seems that if people are going to participate in physical altercations, you all would do best to call Miss Moonsong to deal with it. Not for a lack of capability, but in order to maintain efficiency."

"In a similar regard, if you're stuck dealing with any serious verbal disputes that have you wishing murder could be legal for just a couple of seconds, I practically beg of you to send them my way." The girl raised a hand in front of her mouth with her fingers delicately and loosely curled into a fist, and she smiled just a bit more. "Perhaps I'm not really the manager of this inn, but I'm more than happy to handle patrons like one. Let it be the one talent I can truly provide to you all."

The Cellar

With all of that said and done, she made clear her plan. Azykia would mostly be relying on Little Birb in order to allow her time to take inventory and actually get a better picture of just what exactly she had volunteered to manage in the first place. She would begin in the cellar, once she found it by way of her ar-cane.

To the uninitiated, Azzy often used Arcanamancy to materialize a walking stick for herself. It was bright blue, as most anything made out of pure arcane energy would be. With her honed sense of touch and a bot of initial direction from Lil, she traversed the stairs all the way to the bottom and began to walk the room using the labyrinth rule. With her magical cane in her left hand extended forward to keep her from walking into anything, her right hand was extended to her side. Using this methodology and a certain pattern of walking, even the blind girl was able to map out the cellar after only a short while.

As for the contents of each crate, this was where the fun began. She pried each lid a couple inches above its closed position one at a time, then pointed into the barrel with a magical light at her index fingertip. In only a few more minutes, she had as close to exact counts as she could manage without touching every little piece of food. In other words, she had a lot of confidence in the resulting educated estimates she had made.

Those six jars of honey, though. She had to feel it to be able to tell what it was, but it only made her more curious. At the same time, it was of no concern to her in the short term. While honey was valuable for later, it wasn't as though she needed to mix it with this water to make anything unless she or Lil located lemons. Then they could make a huge batch of honey-sweetened lemonade. Besides that, there was even more honey in another container. Seriously, what was the honey for? There wasn't about to be a bunch of werebears throwing a party in her stock cellar, was there?! She shook her head to get her childish imagination to cull itself for the time being and headed back upstairs to make a menu involving the ingredients on hand while being thoughtful of the entire stock variety throughout the day.

Going around, the boxes all seem to be nicely labeled in some kind of burnt etching. Dried Fish filets, Eggs, Slices of pork, beef and poultry. As well as bread, barley, and bones for stew. A closer inspection of the Cellar reveals that the Mead is spun and mixed here. There is a large, open casket with a broom handle sticking out the top of some water. By it, jars of honey have been packaged and are awaiting proper sealing. Six of them, in total, but a large clear container full of more honey.

Vina Skysong

Vina was going to play music, and live music was one of the most important things in a place like this. When considering your angle of advertising, human beings have five senses that you have to consider. No one would want to buy a pristine car made of gold if it reeked of sewage.

For an inn, taste and scent are both instrumental--no pun intended--to the business's success. Next comes feel, which goes hand in hand with function. With clothes, there is a balance to be minded when it comes to which materials one should use: how comfortable it is to wear versus how appealing it looks when worn. With inns, people are drawn in by the function, but will only be satisfied if that function also maintains a certain degree of comfort, as in 'appeal to the sense of touch'.

Sight is perhaps the most widely understood yet highly abused sense in the world of advertising. The colors red and yellow draw the most attention and call to the most instinctual parts of the human mind. Whether one believes it or not, whether one is trained to ignore it or not, human eyes are magnetized most to the color red, followed by other warm colors. This was why Azzy never changed away from wearing pink once she began. It made people notice her more easily, and that's a virtue when you're blind.

The sense of hearing was perhaps even more potent when projected to correctly, but besides catchy jingles getting stuck in people's heads, funny commercials with clever slogans, and parody of popular music, the exact science of what appeals audibly to people is just as mysterious as it isn't. Thankfully, just like in the real world, Azzy didn't need to worry about that since she was fortunate enough to have a musician work with her, and inn music didn't have to be notable, it just had to adhere to a proper atmosphere. Vina could do that, she was confident--even if she had never heard her play before.

Once she finally did head the music, she paused for a minute to just listen and remind herself where she was, what she was doing, and even why. Not just the inn, but Terrasphere in general. 'All right. After this job is done, I'll try and finally take that vacation.' She thought to herself just before she ceased her ounce of procrastination. She would have to compliment her later. And thank her, too, she supposed.

Moonsong

Azykia had given the priority order before even going down to the cellar to make sure those two overdue rooms got taken care of posthaste, minus the part about defenestrating the offenders. She would probably have to work hand in hand with Moonsong pretty often as well. If not because they shared a bit of overlap in their job priorities, then to make sure she doesn't accidentally pave a road to Hell with her good intentions.

Once she resurfaced, she listened out for the floor's firmest footsteps in order to find Moonsong, to no avail until much later after her cleaning adventure had come to an end. "No bad news yet, hm? Great work~!" She praised her knight in shining... maid dress for a job well done. "I'd appreciate another small favor from you, if you wouldn't mind. I'm not too certain how vigilant you consider yourself, but I would appreciate the occasional report as to what's generally happening around me, whenever you happen to swing by the counter." She blinked her pupil-less eyes up at the general direction of Moonsong's head. "More importantly, try to pace yourself from here on out. A twelve hour work day is a lot more strenuous when customer interaction is involved."

"One last thing--and this goes for all of you--if you need anything at all, whether it's a glass of water, a screwdriver, or a nap, please let me know. And please try to let the others know for me as well. I'm afraid I have a lot of work to do in very little time so that our kitchen can begin to prosper, so I'd appreciate it greatly."

With a curtsy and another thank you, the girl in the pink yukata was off on her way carefully to set up the menu.

Kyra Vashtana and Crimson Ruby

With a clipboard made of arcane magic held in her right hand, young Kia was scrawling away with the quill in her left, which had been filled with self-made, magic-infused ink. At the same time, she used her ears to navigate her into the path of her current floor workers. It sounded like they both knew how to wear a customer service face, and one of them even seemed to know how to bartend. This was invaluable at a place that sold its own mead, not even minding the fact that the place was pretty much a bar with extra steps.

She made sure to stop each of Kyra and Ruby to tell them what she had told Moonsong: "If you need anything, whether it's water, a hammer, or a nap, please do swing by the counter and let me know."

Little Birb

At long last Azykia delivered one of the two papers in her grasp, the menu, to Lil with a pleased grin on her face. It wasn't the prettiest menu given it was pen only, though her handwriting was fanciful and immaculate. After explaining to Birb all of what she had found and where it was located in the kitchen and cellar, she began to explicate economic practice to the for once younger girl. Not because she thought a lot of it would stick, not that it was that difficult to understand, but because it was very important her primary chef understood why she was making the menu the way that she was.

"If I were you, anytime you go to grab ingredients, you should grab a lot of them. We could even have Miss Moonsong help carry them, or offer some able-bodied patrons a free dish in exchange for helping carry them, though that becomes a risky maneuver if Moonsong isn't there in the first place." She held out the other paper to Lil finally. "And these are the instructions I threw together to help you visualize what you're going to be making for each item."

The paper she handed the other girl, unlike the menu itself, was an absolute mess of thin lines and ink scratches here and there. Most of the markings were drawn around the edges as though they were footnotes, but even the writing in English itself which took up most of the paper had some of these star chart-esque markings going right through the words. Despite that, it was still perfectly legible.

"Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions, and don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything. I'll be right out that door." With her hands finally free, she gave the bird a curtsy. "Thank you for taking care of the check-in counter in my absence. I hope the preparations I've made do you well."

The Counter - Original Sin

And so it came to pass that Azykia, the only one not doing anything at the moment of reception, would take care of a hopefully unique request from a group of faerin customers. Urgently their traveling companions did need but one meager ingredient, and it was one that was plentiful in the inn: flesh. Azzy tapped her tended nails against the counter rapidly a few times in quick succession. "I see... I... would be loathe to deny a request so important as yours..." She went from a concentrated expression to a friendly smile. "Please, make yourselves comfortable while I tend to your request. Give me a little bit of time, okay?"

Once the patrons were sent to wait in Ruby and Kyra's care, Azzy stopped into the kitchen to borrow something momentarily, then went to find those firm footsteps again. "Pardon me, Miss Moonsong?" With those void-like, cyan eyes, she looked up at her. "I'm going to need a very secret favor from you. Pretty please?" She blinked twice at Moonsong, then led her to the stairs, and up to one of the cheaper rooms. She made a square rug out of magic, sat down, and put one leg forward with the other to the side. "I'm going to fabricate a brace for myself," she pulled a meat cleaver out of her yukata, "and I need you to carefully cut as instructed."

-- -- --

The longest part of the process had been trying to heal herself back up enough to deliver the wrapped meat herself, or perhaps it was the process of magically infusing something being a gentle and tedious thing. It could have even been when she had to reapply her eye makeup after crying all over it. Either way, It was just over ten minutes after leaving the counter that she had returned to hear Kyra helping somebody get a room. Thank goodness that she was able to work the counter as well, because at this rate she might need a break a lot sooner than expected.

The still blind Azykia approached the unfortunate Faerins with two sizeable pieces of flesh, magically infused and wrapped up as neatly as could be managed. "Thank you for your patience. I hope this does your companions well." She wanted to press them for money. She wanted to smile and speak with flowing enthusiasm, but she simply didn't have the energy anymore. Losing blood was a lot more disorienting than people made it out to be, she thought. "And please don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else!" She gave the group a bow before returning to her post at the counter.

She leaned against it and forced a tired smile onto her face to help the next customer.

Cycle 1 : Special Meat

After cleaning the two rooms to their perfect state, Moonsong circled back to the counter. On the way, she was met with Azzy who stood in the way, congratulating her for her good work, asking her to report should things happen, and pace herself to not burn out. "Understood, Miss." The brunette nodded, "I'll report if anything happened under my watchful eye."

A few minutes later, she had finally finished putting back and washing the cleaning equipment when the blind girl came to her again, this time asking for a ...secret favor? Following her to one of the cheaper rooms, locking the door behind on command. What comes after even shocked the devil-looking girl. "... I didn't know you were this extreme. I will not ask further and judge you for this, though." She smirked at the girl's guts to do something like this. "Allow me."

Instead of using the meat cleaver Azzy gave her, Moonsong conjured her own set of blades with arcanamancy. "Razor-sharp, ergonomic, hygienic." The brunette explained her choice, grabbing one before looking at the smaller girl in the eyes. "This is only going to hurt a little bit."

Surprisingly, what she performed was perfectly executed down to a T. No one would expect her to be that kind of swordswoman, let alone a precise butcher. Was she a back-alley organ harvester in real life? Perhaps, the ashen girl was not someone you want to mess with, after all.

Rokishire (1:00 PM) [Cycle 2]

The doors flicked open and closed. This time, the silhouette of a child stepped in, a handful of marbled-orbs in each of his hands, clinging against each other with clinks with every movement of his fingers. His head bobbed side to side at the sound of ambient music generated by @Vina Skysong - whom he focused on for a time before going to find a seat, ushered along by @Crimson Ruby to a singular corner seat.

As were many of the others who began to walk in. Some heading for the counter, others joining already arrived friends. A man with a pointed black moustache sauntered past the two barmaids, and right up to the counter, tapping and awaiting any sort of service. In where he would try to purchase a room not with gold coins, but with chunks of sparkling rock. Rocks that would shift colors if touched.

There was chatting, clammering, a dark haired woman entered in silently, moving past the barmaids and easing herself into a corner by the boy who had entered earlier. Her head tilted back, her eyes closed. Listening to everything that happened, and not ordering a single thing.

Three happy Faerin began joking with each other, being invited to sit with the couple who were served last hour, and two of them were promptly asked questions about the thin slices of meat they were offered. A Bit raw, they'd tell them, but they could definitely taste that magical zest! And it did oh so much to ease the pain that was growing in their stomachs. Commending the blind girl, @Azykia for her ability to service such a niche need, and not even so much as cursing at the Faerin like other establishments. Easily reasoning that she must be a starcalled!

@Kyra Vashtana would find herself whistled at by a group of people in various pieces of ill fitting armor. Their weapons of axes, swords and even a mace leaned up against the table, as they waved the foxgirl down. "Couple of drinks over here, hun. I'll bet you an arm wrestle for them for free!" His grammar wasn't the best, but the contest was offered.

Leaving @Little Doggo in the Kitchen, with mounting orders, and soon to be dishes. It wasn't too fast yet, but it was worth noting that the currently burning oven was empty. There was plenty to do, especially if one wanted to conserve their energy going forward.

Rooms emptied by Moonsong, now allowing a Hovelis's Rest, and 'A bed' suites open for sale. The people having gotten up and left without argument, though leaving her with a mess that, with assisting Azykia, had all managed to barely get done before the turn of the next hour.

There was talking, chattering, even some humming along with the music. The tables got fuller, but there was still plenty of room to breathe and move.

1:00 PM

Several Food Orders have been placed. Specifics are hard to identify without someone directly taking them, as well as the orders for drinks. It is known that another Full Meal has been ordered and will need fulfilled, with the specification of wanting fish and some fruit.

There are currently no Main Dishes being prepared.

The floor is currently Well-Kept making it easy to keep track of orders once they're taken, and lowering the energy costs of all those working on the Floor with their actions. This may effect the Mood and Satisfaction of the Customers if results are not seen in consequence to being arranged into seating.

The Rokishire is getting more full by the hour, currently somewhere in the range of 30%-50% capacity. It may be difficult to get to everyone right away, but perhaps some can be placated with some interaction or polite warning.

Most rooms are currently empty, and it is difficult for people to know exactly what they want. Some salemanship will assist in this area.

The current Mood of the tavern is Lively. People are entering, finding their friends. There is plenty for the hands on the floor to do, and they are enjoying the music. The increasing activity may invite more to come in, and patrons will be more inclined to be persuaded into spending bits of money here and there.

The Stage is currently used by Vina Skysong, who is generating moderate attention.

Maybe there are more details to be found with a closer inspection?

Guidelines

  • The word Maximum for this Cycle is currently: OPEN, Write as much as you want.
  • There will be no word Minimum, so long as you put in a true effort. I know muse is a fickle thing.
  • The next Cycle will be posted in 24-36 Hours.
  • For this Cycle, you will need to identify the Inn's needs, and serve at one of the above mentioned stations. The Kitchen will need manned and worked, orders will need proper communication, food and drinks served, and patrons will need socialized with to feel welcomed. There are many things the workers can do to assist in all of these, or even carve their own path to assist their co-workers.
  • This thread will be using Vesuvyan's Energy Action system.
  • You may post several times this cycle.

The Trio

She'd just finished speaking with a guest, when the images flashed through her mind. She immediately recognised them, getting used to the very feel behind them, as Ruby's connection. Kyra turned her attention towards the other hostess, trying to figure out why she was being summoned.

Her answer came in the form of three Elven folk, all three smiling at her in a way that made her wonder what major disfunctions they could be affected by. Putting the negative thoughts aside, she returned their warm greeting, listening as they explained that they were looking for a room for the night.

"A single room for all three of you...? I can certainly help you out with that, if you'll just follow me to the bar, we'll take a look at what we have available..."

She calmly led the trio towards the counter, correcting them kindly when they started to follow her behind it. Glancing behind the counter itself, she quickly located the list of available rooms, noting them aloud as she glanced between the chart and the trio.

"Alright...it looks like we have a few options here, although those are in limited availability as well...I've got the Falder Room - which contains two beds, a table, two chairs, its own private bathroom! Oh and room service and a free breakfast. Obviously that one's the most expensive...but we also have the Hovelis Rest - that one's simply two single beds and a table, and then there's the A Bed room...which is pretty obvious, just a bed, but the cheapest option."

There was a bit of back and forth as the trio suddenly realised that they would be required to split up, or suffer sleeping in extremely uncomfortable positions. Kyra listened calmly for a few moments, injecting only when she felt she could sway the conversation in either direction. After they'd discussed, they turned back to Kyra with their answer.

"Alright! One Hovelis Rest for the three of you! It's going to be a bit cramped, but...I don't think there's anything that actually says you can't do that. Now because there's three of you, there will be the Extra Body charge - beaurocracy and all that, you know how it is - so your total will be nine coins!"

The trio argued, cursing their luck and debating among themselves once more, all while Kyra waited with a pleasant smile on her face. Eventually, knowing that they weren't going to get any sort of other deal, they decided to simply pay the amount - still cursing the small fox-girl even as the key was handed over.

"We do hope you enjoy your stay, and thank you for all the kind words of compliment towards our service! Have a restful night, and if you need anything else just let one of our lovely staff members know!"

The moment they were out of sight, she stuck her tongue out in their general direction, before sighing and heading out from behind the counter.

The Cat Calls

The trio of Elves dealt with, Kyra turned her attention to the next group - what appeared to be a collection of adventurers. Pen and notepad in hand, she made her way to their table, a large smile on her face as she approached.

"Alright...hey there! Sorry for the delay, the lovely Elven folk that I was dealing with earlier had a bit of a difficult time deciding on their rooms. Now, you had mentioned drinks! Any specifics desired, or just whatever's on tap work for you?"

The same man spoke to her, a smile playing across his face as he seemed to eye up the fox-girl before him. Kyra reminded herself to ignore the look in his eyes, knowing well enough that the others would jump to her side if trouble started - not that it should, here.

"Whatever's tap works for us. But I'll be wanting to wrestle it from ya, if you're not scared tah do it!"

The soft smile that touched her lips was one of an almost amused nature. In another place, maybe she'd have taken him up on it. But tonight she was a worker, not a patron, and this wasn't her tavern to be giving things out freely, no matter how happy it made the clientele.

"Now...if I were wrestling you for drinks, you'd likely be drinking for free all night long, and my boss would be hanging my tail from the rafters! Not to mention what he'd likely be doing to you, for causing so much kerfuffle!"

She gave a quick wink, before leaning in closer to the table, letting her voice drop slightly to a near-whisper as she glanced about for the extra appearance.

"How about...instead of any sort of freebies, I give you a deal on the drinks. I'll bring over a few mugs and a main pitcher, and we'll call it seventeen gold for an entire case, gives you everything you likely need for tonight plus some, at a discounted rate!"

The man seemed to consider it for a few moments, glancing over at his friends before back to Kyra's smiling face. His own smile spread across his face as he seemed to consider the offer, before speaking up.

"Fifteen gold for the entire cask, cups and pitcher and you got yourself a deal little lady!"

Kyra quickly agreed, noting the entire transaction in her book before heading off towards the back room to grab the agreed upon cups and pitcher, knowing well that the man - and herself - had no idea what size the casks were. Not that she had any intention of letting him know.

She quickly sent a Primal Aura sensation towards @Crimson Ruby, basking in her success.

Cycle 2: Entertainment

Since the song was slow and deliberate, meant to be soothing and relaxing rather than energising, it was no surprise that the response from most people who heard it was to slow down and listen before returning to their own business. It was a very inobtrusive song, easy to enjoy in the background without letting it interfere with your thoughts after you'd acknowledged its existence.

However, even as Vina was playing she saw that more and more people were entering the tavern as noon passed. Whether these people were here to enjoy a break from work, or their situation allowed them to enjoy the afternoon at a tavern, her job was to make them all enjoy their time here and leave them satisfied and energised. She smiled at the child with the marbles, her azure eyes also taking in everyone else who entered the tavern. While she had to remain focused both on the instrument in her hands and the breeze swirling around her body, being the performer on the stage gave her the position to observe everything that happened on the floor.

As the first song came to an end the vixen had already thought of what next to play. It might be a bit early in the day to already switch to something so lively, but she was feeling good, and she was pretty confident she could share that with her audience. Focusing on the lute in her hands she used her Nature Magic to change its shape, having practised this particular trick many times to make sure she wouldn't mess it up in the middle of a performance. Within seconds the lute would have morphed into a small drum, one which the druidess would secure in the crook of her elbow before she began her next song.

Once again she'd manipulate the air around her, but this time she'd need to produce more than one flute at the same time. With her free hand tapping the drum when appropriate most of her focus would be on using her Aeromancy to weave the winds into a lively song that would spread throughout the room, wishing to evoke an atmosphere straight out of the woods, where legends and fables dwelled from many winters past.

Imagine Selling Rooms

She'd been glad that Moonsong used Arcanamancy to help her out. It really made her feel less alone in this inn full of strangers. To a normal person, sharing masteries with someone had no real importance without personal significance. To Azzy, who could only see magic and had never seen anybody else use her own favored mastery, found a greater comfort in its presence than she could ever explain even with her trained tongue.

Too bad it had left her with a bit of a limp, put to notice for all to see as she used a magical crutch to get herself back to the counter. Once there, a bit more prep was necessary.

As for the room itself, Falder Room has two double beds, a table, two chairs, a private bathroom, room service, and free breakfast.
Hovelis Rest consisted of two single beds and a single table, while A Bed, well, literally has only one bed in the room and nothing else.

-Moonsong

She laid out lines on the paper written in transparent ink, allowing her and only her to see the lines of magic assisting her designing, then began to put her calligraphy to work. She wasn't going to leave the prices as they were, though. Especially when Kyra had already joined in Azzy's intentions of trying to charge people extra per person. Besides, today was an important day. The first time she tried to stay in an inn while it was busy, she got charged 20 gold coins. If she maxed out on any particular tier of room, she would decide to increase the price then. For now, it was as follows:

  • Available Rooms
    • Falder Room 1/2 - 20 coins - Hosted on the lower floor, the Falder room comes with room service and is closest to the kitchen and bar while having its own amenities. All in all, just as easily a great room for private parties or a group of four to rest in luxury.
    • Starbound Suite 3/3 - 14 coins - With two beds that can be separate or conjoined at your discretion as well as a personal bath, this room is more suitable for travelers who wish to forget they're travelers for a bit or small parties of the adventuring variety rather than the celebratory kind.
    • Hovelis Rest 3/5 - 10 coins - The venue life isn't for everyone, but the Hovelis Rest is a perfect room for retiring to wind down and read or play cards for a bit before turning in for the night.
    • A Bed 8/10 - 6 coins - A bed is better than No bed, which isn't a room option we have. Save yourself the walk home and book a room here!

Cycle 2 - Floor
+5 EN, -5 EN

Ruby's ears twitched at @Kyra Vashtana's instinctive sign, returning her with a faint smile and a grateful feeling through her Primal Aura. Her attention then shifted to a few customers, twitching her sensible ears to notice some of them were eager to have their orders.

Heading toward @Little Birb, Ruby leaned in. "Have anything ready for our customers?" She asked, swaying her tails and head in rhythm with @Vina Skysong's music.

As soon as the girl gave her the orders, Ruby would place them on a platter and smile. "Thank you very much!" She said, ruffling the girl's hair, and adjusting the flower on her hair and side glancing the customers and releasing her Primal Aura once again.

Your order is ready.

As soon as the message was conveyed, a red and green blurr zoomed around the floor, only halting when nearing the table of the customers, with her dress billowing with the momentum.

"Thank you and enjoy your meal!" She smiled to the first one, sliding the plate with two toasted breads, egg and a glass of water.

Another zoom, and Ruby was already giving the full breakfast another customer ordered. "Enjoy your meal!"

Then, she zoomed to the last customer, sliding their orders on the table. "Sorry for the wait." She said swaying her tail and adjusting the flower on her hair once again before looking around to see what to do next.
