They came closer and close, the source of the bell revealing itself. A man, with a fine-cocked hat and a long, flamboyant feather sticking out of the top of it. His fine jewels jingling as did the small, rectangular golden bell in his hand. "Five'o'Clock! It is FIVE, dinner time will be soon!" He declared loud enough that even with his distance, the words were discernible. Now it was time for Zelrius to get teasing, to find amusement from her. He stopped, his face tightened as he tried his best to contain the incredulous chuckle that bubbled underneath, becoming a series of short huffs in and out. "You didn't pick any skills? Just decided to wing it?" He managed out, again, fighting the urge to laugh in her face about it, trying his best not to be rude.
"There's an auto-assist for helping you get the hang of fighting. The game sort of wills your character-avatar to act as a fantasy character would with whatever knowledge they have." He started by explaining, turning to her now that they were close to the center of the almost text-book Fantasy-Forest Village of Hovelis. "And your meters and inventory are accessible through the palm menu." He held his hand out in a closed fist that was upright, unfurling his fingers as if exposing something there. From his view point, all the buttons and meters would come in, but for her, it would just be an egg made of air being cracked open. Something Zelrius was aware of, starting by showing her the normal way of doing it, before stepping close.
He seized her left wrist in his hand, lifting her own up, his grip trying to be delicate and uninvasive. If she tried to pull away, he'd let her without fight, and try to explain how to do it either way. If not, his fingers would close around hers, as though making her hold onto something in the woman's hand. "Hold it up and close like this. Then you open it. Speed doesn't matter as long as it isn't extremely slow."
A step back, to allow her some more personal space, to not be too personal with it. "Some buttons should appear. You'll be able to see your hunger, temperature, thirst, rest, health, and energy. And be able to access your inventory, as well as your 'map'. Log out, turn off and on the HUD, whatever you need." Grinning, opening his own menu and looking around it. Hardly containing going into a full on monologue about what he knew about every feature, and wanting to share every bit of knowledge with her. "You might be able to find some basic guides and information online in the hidden forums and stuff, but this game has no wiki... and is kind of illegal. So getting much info out of game would be hard. Unless whoever gave you the QR Code or link has some experience and you talk to them."
That was the cerebral, now it was time for the physical. To showboat some, and answer another question. He took a moment, showing her a small spark of fire, letting the newbie feel the air around them heat up from his aura. "As for skills, you can pick as you go, or let them naturally develop. Slash weapons was one I picked personally, and have practiced to get it to its rank. Pyromancy, however, came about spontaneously, naturally. Like it was apart of me being called upon." He let the flame extinguish, and with it, the warm air around his body die back down, careful not to spend too much energy showing off.
"You can learn skills either way. But there's only one way to rank them up and get better; actually doing things with them. Hitting monsters, learning techniques, growing stronger. Typical MMORPG stuff."
