Brutus sprung from the bush as the man threw his lance, using his canon that materialized in his hands to deflect the lance away from Corsair. He hissed, his legs felt wobbly and numb, which would be a problem if this fight was going to be a tough one. He aimed and fired, his canon BOOMING as a ball shot forward. The Haemomancer, bulging with blood, flexed his core and Brutus stared in awe as the man CAUGHT his ball with his gut. Veins pulsing black as if filled with nanomachines, the man grinned viciously at him. His wrists gushed red, turning into twin scythe like blades as he dashed forward. Brutus stumbled forward awkwardly, trying his best to get lets to wake up and keep his footing. The enemy slashed once, twice, the first the giant caught with his canon, the other dashing along his torso sending flashes of red through his vision. The two broke apart, the man dancing past him with incredible speed.
Brutus' eyes bulged as they followed him, the man making a beeline for Corsair, but not for long. He hit him with a guard stance ability taunt, coupling it with his own verbal taunt. "Hey fuckface, we're not done!" He dashed after him swinging his canon. The man danced around and caught his swing with crossed arms, his veins pulsing still.
He broke away from him, stumbling backwards as the man chased after him with slashing blood blades. Slowly but surely he was shaking off the malaise that had come with their stakeout. As long as he was keeping him off Corsair, he could keep things under a certain level of control.
