Solvale, Hanrift
'Home'
Early Afternoon

Ronja gave her house a last tidying up. It was in fact, an extra tidying up, since she was receiving a guest today. Nico was busy with something else, so Ronja already expected her to be away for a while, which allowed her to receive visits that, otherwise, would be a little complicated to welcome. Such as the big fluke of having Val coming in without Ronja managing to warn and talk to Nico first.

Thankfully this time there was no need for such headsup, even if there was a prick of guilt in Ronja's chest for her ommiting to her the fact that @Yugam was going to pay their home a visit.

The little 'comfort' Ronja had in her regarding the matter was the fact that this was not a simple visit, but rather, it was 'business'. Something that intrigued Ronja and managed to draw both her interest and attention.

"A body to house a spirit"

It was a broad concept. Everyone was a body housing a spirit, but if Ronja had to guess what he meant, what he needed was a vessel— and it was already in Ronja's theories that Magias were simply vessels to the Magia Cores, that were the actual entities behind them. So it wasn't like Ronja wasn't already studying it thoroughly.

Usually, she wouldn't open her studies to someone she didn't know well enough, but she did trust Val, which by proxy, she felt like she could trust Yugam. Besides, he did help to save her, so she owed him one.

And so went Ronja's morning, with her half of her mind rushing excuses to make herself feel better while she occupied the other half with domestic activities.

It was warm out, pleasantly so, and enough that Yugam felt it was a better idea to leave his jacket at home, rather than sweat on his way to Fio and Ronja's place.

Stranger than Yugam's lack of his usual coat was his relative lack of weaponry. No rifle. No sword. Just his revolvers, one worn at the back of his waist, and the other by his right hand, in lieu of his usual underarm holsters. No point, when he was only visiting a...well, friend wasn't quite right, but he and Ronja were getting there. Or at least he felt that way. Besides it was better not to draw too much attention anyways. Not today.

The pair's home soon came into view, and Yugam made his way towards the front door. He rapped his knuckles on the door thrice, before stepping back and clasping his hands behind his back as he waited. He took the moment to allow his eyes to wander around the property, making mental remarks until the door opened.

Hanrift wasn't a big town at all, making @Yugam draw some attention even if he was being a bit more subtle. However, when it was clear that he was going for Ronja's house, the few glances he had caught averted.

Of course the one Starcalled residence in the village would attract some different fellows.

When the door knocked, Ronja jumped a little.

"Coming!" Ronja said, shuffling the broom away and adjusting her hair before moving to the entrance. She opened the door, her eyes clicking as they went up to look at the man with a smile.

"Hello Yugam, good afternoon!" Ronja opened the door widely, gesturing— "Come in!" She welcomed, waiting for him to step in before closing the door. She had never seen him not being all geared up, so it was an intriguing sight at first.

Still, the two pistols were there, which meant he was still prepared, just in case.

"Ronja hopes your trip all the way here wasn't too rough on you. Do you want anything? Water? Coffee? Maybe some food?"
Ronja asked.

Yugam heard a voice come from within the house, "Coming!" and his attention snapped back to the door, opening moments later to reveal the small, brunette magia residing within.

"Afternoon," the man greeted with a small, warm smile as he stepped into the home. The sound of the door closing shut punctuated the stillness of the home. "I'm good with some water, thank you," he answered.

"And it was nice. Quiet, for once." It wasn't an unsettling kind of stillness, but it was very unlike the Nico that Ari knew. And Yugam had a feeling that Fiora wasn't very far off from that benchmark. "So, how do you get Fio to keep the place this clean?" the man asked, a note of humor in his voice. "Definitely coulda used some tips and tricks a few months ago," the man looked around, envying the near spartan level of order in the house. "Or is this all you?"

"Water it is then!" Ronja nodded, moving to fetch a jar of water and a couple glasses, filling one of them for @Yugam before handing it to him. "Travelling to and through Solvale is almost always a peaceful experience. You need to be wary of bandits though."

And even then, the type of bandit that wasted their time trying to attack wagons moving through Solvale out of all places weren't particularly dangerous unless you were a common villager, something that Starcalled certainly were not.

Ronja giggled at Yugam's words, pondering for a moment. "Ronja was the only one taking care of it at first, but she made sure to charm Fiora into helping her out. It was easy to do after making sure how happy Ronja is when she does her chores!" She said, then puffed her chest with some pride.

"But that's not just it, our lovely Handler-lings and Aid-lings are wonderful for automatic domestic work too, even if they spend too much energy to start up."

As if listening to itself being called, a Handler-ling propelled toward them from another room, floating nearby as if waiting for an order.
