Another Star was Called...

A flickering and colorful trail brimmed as an arc path crossed the sky, bringing yet another Starcalled, shimmering as a woman of golden hair fell with azure flames engulfing and surrounding her.

Her closed eyelids twitched as she slowly gained consciousness for the first time in that world, and her crystal blue eyes opened, seeing the wonderful world dancing right under her, the endless sea, the colossal lands, the deep horizon that only grew more horizontal as she pierced air and clouds in her fall, somehow managing to breathe despite the force necessary to sink deep into the atmosphere.

It was like a dream.

"So this is Terrasphere..." She muttered in her mind, closing her eyes again, tightly as she braced herself for an impact.

The Star eventually found itself reaching the ground, albeit slowing down until it peacefully disappeared in sparkles, instead of the expected impact that would usually send shockwaves brushing against trees and grass from all over the area.

It took a moment for the woman to open her eyes again, looking around with a puzzled and curious expression, looking down at her feet, at her chest, at her hands, opening and closing them with eyes that sparkled with a mix of surprise and excitement. Her eyes went up to see a nearby lake, and the woman hurried toward it, nearly stumbling as she crouched on the edge, looking at her own face, distorting slightly on the water that was disturbed by the small pebbles her feet accidentally kicked into it.

As it calmed down, however, her face was clearer, with a reflection as pure as a mirror.

"... Valkryja..." She muttered, reaching for the reflection, touching the tip of her fingers on it, as if caressing her cheek before standing.

"... She is... So pretty..." She said, resting her hands on her face, tapping her hands all over her face, and then her body, shifting her glance to the side and looking at her muscular arm. Instantly, she was reminded of the bodybuilders she saw in that particular event, and with a smirk that couldn't be suppressed, she slowly flexed it, tensing the biceps and making them bulge in a vigorous demonstration of strength.

"W-Woaaaah-!!" Her eyes sparkled as she fidgeted, looking at her own muscle admired.

"So strong, so strong!" She exclaimed, excitedly before flexing her other arm, with eyes and face brimming as she struck poses one after another, mimicking the bodybuilders, flexing and looking at herself being reflected by the lake, with her perfect shape and form being a demonstration of a body in the peak of its physical capabilities.

"God, god, yes, YEEES!" She cheered on. "Valkryja is so perfect! Yes, I knew I could make it! She is amazing, look at this! Not even the statues of the Greek are as perfectly sculpted as her!" Pride overflowed in her voice, and she flexed her muscles once again, showing off to herself.

Terrasphere was a beautiful utopia. A paradise compared to the real world. It was easy to see why people took refuge in the virtual world's dreamlands. A perfectly rendered world provided an escape from the dull colors of reality. If she didn't know about the game's insidious past then she'd readily allowed herself to get swept away by the romantic novelty it offered. Unfortunately, the truth soured the experience.

A loud exclamation immediately snatched her attention. The wispy woman gracefully sprung up from the ground, landing lightly on her feet. She followed the raucous voice through the painter-esque landscape. Companionship sounded wonderful, especially as her thoughts darkened.

An eyebrow quirked in amusement, she peaked out from behind the stump of a magnificent tree. Witnessing players log in for the first time was downright adorable. It gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling, especially when compared to her own day one. A day one that happened yesterday but, nonetheless, she stood by the statement that such a momentous occasion brought amusement.

"Speaking in the first person, eh?" she teased, her airy tone possessing a sing-song quality. Crystal-clear blue eyes examined the starry-eyed girl. "Judging by your reaction, I'm going to guess that you created a new persona rather than use your own guise." There was no judgment in her voice. After all, she chose to wear a different face: it'd be hypocritical to judge another for their choices and preferences.

"I'm going to assume you're a newbie based on your reaction. Unless you do this little ceremony every time you log in. If that's the case, I must applaud your continued enthusiasm." Past events jaded her attitude toward Terrasphere otherwise she'd probably always do a happy dance each time she stepped into the world.

Valkryja continued to flex, smirking and enjoying her body, her muscles, her size, her everything. Hell, how much she loved all that, she was on top tier of--

"Speaking in the first person, eh?"

"EEEEEEEEK-!" Valkryja screamed in a high-pitch, clenching her hands against her chest and taking a step away, nearly losing her balance and struggling to not fall on the lake, stomping her feet on the ground and recovering her stability before looking at the woman.

"O-Oh, OH! Hello there!" She said- God, it was another person? That game sure looked like a large world when she was falling, so the chances of meeting someone else right off the bat were meant to be hard, right? No... No, of course! Valkryja was perfect, and so was her luck, think Martin, think!

"HAHA! Yes, of course. It is a game, no point in being all yourself, right?!" She said, nodding eagerly to herself, as if trying to convince herself of it as she moved closer to the other woman, somewhat towering over her.

"Yeah, I am new around here, brand new even. BUUUT I wouldn't mind doing all that every time I logged in, I mean-- Look at this damn body!" Valkryja flexed her biceps again, slapping the bulging muscle. "See? It is crazy cool."

Looks like she managed to startle the poor woman. Oops. But not oops because that shit was funny as fuck. Seeing a gargantuan lady shriek like a small kid frightened by the spooky ghosts during Halloween was, to put it lightly, amusing. The colossal woman loomed over her with ease yet the sprightly girl didn't back down. "Uh.. boo?"

Damn. Seeing this mammoth of a gal, she wished she would've taken a similar approach. Not muscular wise but sheer height. It sucked being short. Life was supposed to be a breeze but when you're short and that item you need in the grocery shop is on the cursed top shelf. She shivered at the thought. Apparently, she also thought in "tiny" considering she assumed a height that looked decently tall... At least, as Sunny, it looked like the perfect balance. This world was different, though.

"Hmm." she mused, eyes giving the buff woman a once, twice, thrice lookover. "It is pretty fucking cool. And you definitely look hot a-f." Personally, she preferred speed. Theoretically, skills could make anyone a speed demon but she wanted to look graceful. Or something like that. Basically, the opposite of her clumsy ass in real life.

"Yeah, I'm a basic ass noob myself." She gestured towards her pitiful attire, the low-level equipment made worse by an unlucky roll in the fate department. "I started playing yesterday." Considering the fact she got attacked within seconds - not even - of landing, she thoughtfully added, "If you'd like, we could go a few rounds. Maybe figure out how all our moves work and shit. Or find some low-level monsters to beat the crap outta." It'd been interesting to see what the behemoth chose.

A sudden realization caused a light bulb to go off in her head. Damn, her parents would be disappointed - even more disappointed if they heard she forgot the whole pleasantries of, "My name is Aerial. Nice to meet'cha."

The 'boo' gave Valkryja an instinctive head tilt, blinking her wide azure eyes as she leaned away slightly to give the other a bit more of space, only to beam joyfully when the other woman seemed to agree with her- Albeit in a few different word- "RIGHT?!" She thundered. "Like, hell, that's like the perfect mix. Muscles enough to look powerful-" Valkryja flexed her muscles again, and then shifted her pose.

"But in a healthy way enough to keep these guys!" She looked down, hopping twice to make her bosom bounce along... Which made her pause and cross her arms. "Very different from those people that shove their bodies with anabolic steroids. This is pure, natural, perfect body, HELL YEAH!" She screamed excitedly and fidgeted, looking at the woman in front of her and having sparkly eyes.

"I mean, you too! Look at you, you are goddamn hot! Physical perfection all over you, just in a different way!" Valkryja nodded eagerly as she tapped her chin. "Yours is more... Form over function! Which is amazing regardless!"

The offer then snatched her attention, and the topic was shoved aside for a moment as she pondered. "A basic noob just like me? HAH, you are wrong, my lovely fellow human of physical perfection-!" She gestured behind her back, grinning widely. "We are STRONGEST, GREATEST, PERFECTEST noobies. So let's find a big arse monster to kick its arse until it goes cry to mama!" She said, offering a hand to the other woman, having a wide smile on her lips. "Great to meet'cha too, Aerial, name's Valkryja-"

- And in short, she was accepting the party invite.

To keep these guys? What in the world did- Ohhh. Jaw left slightly ajar, she watched in bewilderment as the woman showcased her bosom. Damn. Even the jiggle physics were realistic. She whistled. Terrasphere might but on her shit list but, admittedly, the attention to detail impressed her.

"You look like you're in love." she playfully jested. "Flat-chested in real life, eh?" Neither Sunny nor her avatar, Aerial, possessed a bountiful bosom. Which, honestly, she was thankful for.

"But are they natural?" she pondered aloud. "Like, they look realistic but can hand-shaped bodies be considered natural?" Aerial shrugged. "But what the fuck do I know? Philosophy and all of that crap never fit me." Which meant it was best not to think of it unless she wanted to trigger a headache.

She laughed when her own appearance was brought up. "Pfft. I personally think I've created a perfect version of function over form. Fast footwork is my specialty, though, so I can see why you'd argue otherwise, Ms. Ogre." Her words retained their airy and playing quality, assuring her fellow playing that she was simply joking.

"Fuck yeah, my friend." An outstretched hand offered a high-five. "Our perfect bodies perfectly complement each other. No monsters will be able to match our power." Valkryja had an infectious enthusiasm that drew Aerial in like a moth to a flame. A chorus of howls broke their moment. "Looks like we won't have to look far."

ooc:// I planned on spawning some wolves and an alpha wolf but I'm not confident that I'll format it correctly ;; If you wouldn't mind creating us a spawn?

"In love? I don't consider myself narcissistic, BUT YEAH I AM IN LOVE WITH MYSELF IN HERE!" She clenched her fist upwards in a cheerful manner, joyful about the first hour she was having in the game, and with a nice company right off the bat too!

"Flat-chested? Nah... If only. I am more like, roundy. And with more chest than I should, I am meant to be flat, and surprisingly I am not" Valkryja frowned, crossing her arms and letting out a sigh. "BUT-- I am working on it, and by working, I mean I am doing overtime at the gym." She shrugged.

At being called an ogre, Valkryja just laughed, clasping her hand on the woman's back and striking a grin. "You got a point, Cupcake. But that's just how I see it." Valkryja returned the jest, soon going for the high five, by lowering her height for a moment with a curved back before the howl caught her attention.

"Oh yeah... Seems like we have some company." She smirked, looking at a big, fat wolf and a quartet of smaller ones appearing through the woods, and the clearing before them making the perfect arena for what would be their clash of titans.

"Pfft. Anyone who tells you it's narcissistic to be in love with yourself are insecure fucks who want to drag you down." Aerial supported her proclamation, lips upturned in a smirk. "It's not our fault that we're sexy and we know it." She spewed straight facts and anyone who disagreed were clearly just salty. But, really, positive individuals were rare occurrences. So, Valkryja's attitude was a breath of fresh air.

D'aw. The poor gal seemed conscious about her chest area. Albeit, what did she mean by "they are meant to be flat"? Eh. Aerial shrugged the thought off; prodding into other's personal lives had never been her M-O. "Ugh. Huge props to you. The gym is just soo not my thing." Memories of being forced to work out with her former team caused her to shiver. Something about physical health affecting one's mental state. Which, like, true: scientific studies provided evidence to prove that theory rang true. That didn't stop her from disliking the concept, though.

Her gaze followed Valkryja's eyes towards - "Holy crap! That's a giant wolf." She grew silent as she analyzed the makeshift arena. "We should knock out the little ones first." She pointed towards the couple further away (A2). "I'll kill those mofos." There wasn't a hint of hesitation in her voice. A noob she may be but she was a special noob. "You go for the other two."

A sudden tailwind of air currents ushered them forward. The shift in wind caused resistance to still, the pair now going downwind. Not that there'd been much wind to fight in the first place. They were still in a giant ass forest. "Last one to beat their assigned wolves owes the winner a meal." A relatively low-stakes bet... but one she couldn't afford to lose due to her empty pockets. Fucking ruffians.

Pulling out a half-broken stick (thanks fate die), she used her aeromancy to push off the ground and land on a thick branch. In a blink, she skirted around the forest's outskirts. The movement felt strange yet natural. It was an odd sensation. It was as if this was an everyday maneuver she used on a daily basis. Eh, it was better not to question the mechanics behind the game.

She crouched low on a branch near the wolves, muscles tensely bundled until she sprang upward. The increasing momentum resulted in a beautiful aerial display. Hah. The reason she'd named her character "Aerial" made perfect sense to any who witnessed the moment. She spiraled downward like a drill, her poor stick bending upon being slammed into the ground. A giant flurry of electrified air centered around her landing pad hit the wolves with bone-crushing pressure.

Damn. She fucking ruled.

"A HUGE giant at that, OH YEAH!" Valkyrja exclaimed, concerned about the whole deal, but still ready to take the fight on, going straight to a fighting stance when Aerial already spoke of some strategy. Taking down the smaller ones? Sounded like a plan. "Your orders, Cupcake!" She teased with a smirk just as soon as she darted off.

Charging on, Valkryja soon felt a wind that grew onto her muscles, making her charge even faster, faster, faster--

"W-WOAH, NOW THAT'S--" She interrupted her thoughts, already noticing the wolves nearing as quick as she didn't expect, with her eyes growing wide.

Wait, now that she stopped to think about, she had no weapons on her, right?!

"WAIT WAIT, FFFFFUUUU-"

Auto-Assist activated. Attack Mode: Geomancy.
A message slipped through her eyes in an UI window, a second before she went in a full body impact with the two smaller wolves, sending the two of them knocking down and rolling like boneless ragdolls, all broken and twisted as if something had crushed them.

"Wh-What..." She gasped, looking down at her to notice her arms crystalized, shining with its bulkiness as it seemed to grow out of her body. "GOD, HELL YEAH, THAT'S SO FUCKIN-"

A howl cut her words short, trying to sink deep into her mind and making her scowl and shake her head before noticing the creature's incoming. Roaring, the giant wolf suddenly leaped on the tall woman, nearly sending her to the ground while she was distracted, but she managed to hang in there. "HEEEY, SCREW YOU. CUPCAKE, OVER HERE!"

Triumphant celebration was interrupted by the big, bad wolf mauling Valkryja. Shiit. She always celebrated too early. Really, how the fuck did she forget the rabid alpha wolf? The rush of combat left her head as empty as the air she controlled.

The creature's howl caused a shiver to run along her spine. Aerial wasn't scared yet she was. Artificial emotions brought forth by the game conflicted with real ones. In a tumultuous state, her movement was sloppy as she ran toward her fellow player's side.

"Back off, bitch!" she shouted, jumping into the air to gain momentum before slamming the remnants of her starter spear against the wolf's side. A sickening crack caused her stomach to lurch. Nothing about the twig she held in her hands now resembled the starter equipment she started with.

"Heh.. Uh, hi Fluffy. Who's a good little puppy-" A grumbling growl interrupted Aerial. Well, someone was cranky.. but then again they did kill their friends. Maybe even it's family. Oops.

Valkryja clenched her fists against the Alpha Wolf, struggling and wrestling against it until Aerial came for her rescue, slamming against the giant beast and freeing the giantess from a deadly bite of the vulpine. "Phew-- THANKS BEAUTY, YOU ARE MY HERO-!" She smirked, swinging her arm and throwing a straight punch at the wolf, trying to crush its sides as she sank her fist in it.

Strangely, however, it felt like the carapace of the wolf was much bulkier than she expected, enough for the nerves of her arm to flinch upon impact.

Valkryja scowled, taking a step back and landing right next to Aerial, trying to cover her with an arm that was still crystalized, growing larger as if it helped to shield the other woman.

"Eyes on me, bad boy-" She huffed, bracing herself when the wolf charged in ferociously, howling and making Valkryja stagger for a moment, enough to give room for the wolf to ignore her attempt to taunt it, and make a feint attack on Aerial.

"Shit--!" She growled, trying to defend her companion.

Hashtag pro gamer reflexes saved the white-haired woman's skin. Quite literally. The game must have ingested her with extra instincts because there was no way a noob to VR would be capable of backflipping away from snapping jaws of death. It hurt her pride to admit it but she simply wasn't physically capable of such maneuvers in real life. Yet, here it all felt so natural.

She felt like an action figure and looked cool. Even the blood dripping from her ankle looked epic- Wait, wait. Blood? Eyes widened in stunned silence. She knew Terrasphere prided itself on being a way to truly experience a new world but the inflicted pain was... something.

Weight shifted to her left, avoiding putting too much weight on her injured ankle, she examined the enraged wolf. Valkyrja took the second brunt of the attack. "Fuck. Thanks for the save. But, uh, is it just me or this beast made of iron fur? It feels like my attacks are bouncing off."

Electricity crackled around her fingers. Oh, shit. She forgot that aeromancy was more than just fancy acrobatics. Maybe magic would pack more of a punch. Unfortunately, the electrical current seemed to only accomplish a small static shock: the wolf's fur stood even more on edge and gave an even more intimidating appearance.

"Just returning the favor, Cupcake-" Valkryja winked at her partner, that seemed to slip from the attack at the last moment, along with the protection the giantess managed to give her.

The mention of the wolf's fur being hard like steel made the woman wonder, keeping her fighting stance and side glancing at Aerial. "You are right, it is hard to even touch this thing in a way it feels like I'm hurting it. Even if it is the strongest, mightiest, POWERFULEST punches I can manage!" She scowled.

They needed to do something about it, though!

"Alright, Cupcake, I will try to catch its attention, and you use your STRONG HITS to weaken it, or to find a weakspot-- What about it?" Valkryja asked, and without really waiting for an answer, she darted off to try and slam a powerful straight punch at the wolf, throwing all her weight into the blow, that unfortunately backfired nearly instantly.

The wolf leaped on her, managing to overcome her strength and sending her to the ground under it.

With a loud roar, Direfang sank its fangs on Valkryja's shoulder, feeling the pain ran through her body as she groaned.

"Sounds like a plan! Just don't die 'cause I have no way of reviving you." As if triggered by her words, the alpha wolf lunged toward the designated tank. She winced when teeth sank into her newly acquired friend's shoulder. Urgency to end this quickly fueled her movements.

Time for the biggest wombo combo in the history of Terrasphere! Well, Aerial's history in Terrasphere. She rode sparking air currents into the air. A ball of electricity, she hurtled leg-first downward toward the alpha wolf's neck. She delivered a nasty electricity-powered kick, singing the fur along her enemy's neck.

"Time to die, bitch!" she roared as her tiny twig lodged itself near the wolf's jugular. Obediently, the wolf sank to the ground. Growls turned into whimpers until it stilled, no longer breathing. Shit, she actually kind of felt bad for the monster.

A moment of silence for Direfang.

And now for the celebration! A little victory dance nearly ended with her tripping over the dead body. Yeah, she would have deserved that. "Whoa - that was awesome. And tiring. How are you holding up?"

Valkryja was struggling for her life, wrestling with a wolf twice her size trying to crush her bones and flesh with a ferocious bite that thank god her character probably had some magical endurance that protected her from rabies.

Her fists clenched tight against the beast, with a mix of excitement and fear making her heart rumble until--

SLAAAM!

The giant, dire alpha wolf was thrown aside like a ragdoll, with the last whimpers it could muster sealing the deal that yes, it was dead and gone.

Valkryja stood back to her feet, blinking twice and looking at Aerial nearly stumbling as she danced, and with the question triggering an explosive reaction from the giantess.

"How I am holding?!" She beamed standing up while adrenaline made her ignore the huge wound on her shoulders. "I am GREAT, AMAZING EVEN! We did it, Aeri! We did iiiiit!" She exclaimed, reaching for Aerial and wrapping her in a tight hug if she allowed, twirling and looking at her before finally letting her go and posing with an arm flex.

"All thanks to these babies, and to the fastest, prettiest, radiest, PERFECTEST girl that saved my arse twice!" She grinned widely to Aerial, breathing heavily as the adrenaline slowly faded away...

... and a crippling pain began crawling through her body, and she kneeled with a scowl, holding her bleeding shoulder.

FUCK, PAIN WAS KINDA REAL.

"Heck yeah! We fucking owned that bitch!" To be honest, it'd been a sloppy victory. But a win was a win, yeah? "I wonder why some of our attacks were bouncing off of it, though." she frowned. Her last attack managed to slice through the direwolf while her previous onslaughts barely scratched the surface. Maybe, just maybe, she needed to read through those "helpful hints" she'd been ignoring.

"Oof." Aerial winced in sympathy (well, sympathy and the sight of so much blood). "Damn. If that's how you look when you're amazing then I'd love to see how you look at perfect." she joked, crouching next to the injured woman.

Hm. Healing was a foreign ability to her. Like, yeah, sure she'd been on the receiving side of healing abilities plenty of times. But actually having to play a supportive role? "Let's see.." Surprise, surprise: Aerial possessed no healing spells. So, she clumsily ripped one of her sleeves off and crafted a tourniquet. Or, what resembled one. "This is probably gonna hurt." she warned mere seconds before attempting to tend to Valkyrja's wound.

"That's the best I can do." Her best looked very shabby but it'd get the job done. Probably. "We should probably find a town or somethin' to fully patch that up... 'Sides, I'm pretty sure I won our bonus competition~ I killed my two in record time."

"GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH--" Valkryja groaned, wrapping her arms around the wounds, curling in a way that almost seemed comical, having that behemoth-sized woman shrinking into a ball of whimpering pain. "H-Hah- Wh-When you put it like that--" Valkryja stood up, taking a quick breath and huffing in an attempt to recover, when in reality she was just holding back as much of her whimpering as she could, while Aerial took care of her wounds.

"I have no idea why that thing got our attacks bouncing off, but it was tougher than it looked." She said, with her eyebrow twitching at the mention of the treatment for her wound being one that would hurt.

"G-Grrhu..." She shuddered at the pain, but managed to keep herself firm as she complained:

"Damn it! To think that the GREAT VALKRYJA would lose!" Valkryja lamented, albeit very playfully, looking at Aerial and smirking. "Thanks for the fix, Cupcake. You are the winner, but hell! You are really the FASTEST! I could barely notice you."

"I guess I should've read the information regarding the "pain limiter" feature before I decided to run into combat." Naturally, the woman skipped through most (if not all) of the tutorial. Wait.. Had there even been a tutorial? Possibly. She always phased that senseless noise out. Why would she, someone who made a living playing video games, need a tutorial. Well, besides the fact that this game could quite literally lead to perma-death. But.. y'know.. reading information was still boring.

"We'll have to ask around." she mused in response to the lack of knowledge regarding the wolf's iron pelt. "I'm sure we'll bump into a not quite noob but not veteran either player who thinks they know it all."

Aerial bowed when Valkryja mentioned her stylized fighting. "Ah~ Hold the applause, hold the applause. You're too find!" she playfully joked along. "Playing fast and furious is my specialty. Well, that and recklessly charging into my death." She still recalled her early days within the pro scene; learning to play selflessly had been a lengthy process. Hell, she still struggled with the "teamwork makes the dream work" mentality. Especially now that..

"Time to see if the food and alcohol really do taste realistic! Of course, you're paying." Sharp teeth cheerfully grinned. ".. That is, if we can find'a town. I have nooo clue where we are and you just landed, sooo.."

"Pain limiter?" Valkryja pondered for a moment, until she realized the huge heresy she was about to commit- "HAHAH! NEVER! Not me! The great Valkryja MUST feel the pain, only like this, she will find out how MUCH HER PERFECTEST BODY IS ENDU-" In an abrupt pose shift, she slammed her shoulder against a tree, making her shrink again while holding her wound, whimpering.

After a moment, she finally stood up again, with teary eyes, yet having an expression brimming with defiance.

"I-It is all good!" She declared, clasping a hand on her chest, and offering the other to Aerial. "HAHA! Finding a town will be easy peasy, Cupcake. We just need to go all the way to the North. If we keep following a direction, we are FATED to find our DESTINY, with drinks and food enough to rival VALHALLA!" Valkryja said, then began her march.

It was all a matter of finding a beginner's town, how hard it could be?

"Yeah. I left mine on but I would remember seeing it during character customization." she shrugged. Honestly, she didn't have any strong opinions on the option. Yes, the pain had been intense and sudden but her thrill-seeking side revealed in the adrenaline. Would she still feel that way? Only time could tell.

"But.. which was is north?" Eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed together in a pout as scanned their surroundings. "Do we have maps..?"

Pressing random buttons on the UI accomplished absolutely nothing. "Aghh. Whatever. Les' go! It can't be thaaat hard.. right?"
