Naturally, Lily's expression went back to the fairly unamused type after she heard Chako speak again. Truly, the feline should practice eating in peace more than talking, it would probably do her wonders. Without stopping with her own portion, she simply started typing on the invisible keyboard with one hand while the other skillfully helped her fork navigate the sweet maze and claim a prize of another pancake chunk, covered in glistening syrup.

I'm starting to question how far you can really make it on your own if you're gonna believe everything people are gonna say.

Not that I know for sure such magic doesn't exist or anything.

Or maybe I did really just steal your soul, but I'm very nice so I'm not gonna do anything too bad to it.
Perhaps it would be a good lesson. Part of being independent definitely was also understanding when someone was lying, right? Though it wasn't like Lily was actually trying to tell a lie... she was just trying to tell a joke. Badly, possibly.
