Inhale,
The world was dark. As a soft breeze grazed against her virtual avatar, a battle between expectations and realism raged on in her mindscape. There were no reasons as to why her fists clenched so tightly, or why her breathing had become so agitated. Yet, the windows to her soul refused to open; refused to allow the light to shine its radiance upon rosy orbs. Pearly whites sunk ever so lightly down on plump lips, a desperate attempt to silence the beating, a rhythm of anticipation that urged conflict in her mind and bubbled up on her chest.

…Exhale.

At long last her eyes opened and the sun’s glare scarcely beamed down on her eyes, protected by the verdant and natural canopy of the trees surrounding the pinkette. Unstable yet recovering, her vision blurred between clarity and obscurity as it adjusted to the sensations and the world around her. Light danced within her pink hues as they teared up, gently glancing down at her hands.

No chaos.

No pointless amalgamation of colors.

In Terrasphere, they all fell within the spectrum of order, giving the world shape and purpose.

Her attempt at holding back the tears failed, and they rolled down her fair skin. ‘Ahaha… I… Can see…! I really… can…!’ against her will, her body decided it was the best time to laugh, cry, and to be relieved — all at once. With another sharp exhale, Monika took control over her avatar again.

‘AAAAAALRIIIIGHT! Enough of sads, squarehead! (ノ≧∀≦)ノ :。・:*:・゚’★,。・:*:・゚’☆’ she claps her cheeks to be freed of the llama drama clinging to her so far, leaving them a rosy color not unlike that of her hair. As she glanced down to the side, her smile widened. Amidst tall trees and near a small lake: this was the place she had logged off four years ago.

She ran towards the body of water, feet recklessly splashing it everywhere and disturbing nature, much like humans would. As if experiencing the wonders of playing with water for the first time, she splashed it at nobody in particular, enjoying the harmony between sounds and visuals. Spinning, jumping and running at her own leisure — until her lack of experience with eyesight caused her to trip on her own feet.

‘OO-oh-owoaaaah!’ and down the water the pinkette went, drinking at least a gallon or two in the process. Pushing her arms against the shore, she raised herself above the liquid to breathe.

A moment later, another one — a silence of realization and satisfaction.

‘Ahahahaha! No way! I can’t even walk?!’ In that moment, she was happiness unbound.

So much so, that she hadn’t noticed someone else nearby. @Meridion Felblade

"Everything looks to be in order.."

Flora and fauna were audible as the lone figure stood within the heart of the forestry. Scarlet pools peered out and into the distance, the hum of life and atmosphere alike parading his senses and awakening him to his newfound reality. It was familiar and yet not, his every muscle and thought fusing to create a sense of normalcy. For all intents and purposes, however, he was more than aware that he was not unlike a newborn babe.

Through the tendrils of internet and software he had been transported, thrust into Terrasphere and into the avatar that now stood statuesque upon a sea of emerald blades. Locks of onyx cascaded his crown, a single, thick bang swaying against the gale as nature set its breath upon him. The broad expanse of his torso heaved with a deep breath, the invigorating ministration pilfering his knowledge that the very world about him was naught but a false projection. As nimble digits flexed and moved, he could scarcely fathom the similarity betwixt this world and that which he knew to be reality. How thin the line now seemed, blurred and obscured. But before he could truly gather his wits about himself, the strikingly handsome figure was interrupted by what could only be described as a lively character rushing past his flank.

A slow gait carried Meridion to the edge of the canopy above, veiled by intermittent shadow and sunshine that poked through its opening. Lifting his left hand, he pressed his palm to a tree next to him and watched the spectacle. Her antics elicited a tug at the corner of his lips, an almost noiseless chuckle rising from his gullet and piercing nature's ambience. Naturally, there was the matter of ensuring that she hadn't come to harm. Meridion approached within the field of her peripheral vison, an arm pressed to the middle of his abdomen as the other rest at a ninety degree over it.

"Are you alright? You took quite the tumble," a baritone voice questioned. It was akin to gentle thunder, possessing a modicum of a growl at the end of every syllable. "Be careful out here. No idea what's lurking in the bushes."

He stood at a comfortable distance, naturally-arched eyebrows furrowing just slightly over almond-shaped eyes. "You new to Terrasphere?"
