One of Laylabelle's Wolf-o-Wisps appeared. It was excitedly barking at a man @Cain Darlite like it wanted to play. Wolf-o-Wisps could sense good people, or at least, Laylabelle thought so. Sometimes she thought they just enjoyed the sight of handsome men. "Easy boy! Eaaasy~ didn't you see the lightning? I don't think we've been invited to Mortal Kombat just yet. I'll let you meet him later kay~? Now lemme tie this reflector bandana on'ya you so you're easy to see my little scouty buddy you~!"

 

[Ueno Mizuki]

(Mizuki catches up with the fleeing Trilobite and Celestine who's trying to keep it from escaping.)

Calm down, just keep a steady grip on it.

(Her ears twitch as she looks towards the exit of the temple.)

@Roland Rutledge's frantic yelling suddenly caught Toko's attention.

"Haaaah? The fuck you talking about, help who?"

"Haven't the foggiest, I actually suspect some kind of play of light or maybe a plant pollen but I'm trying to learn to remember that this world has MAGIC~ ya know~? It's a little scary~ anywho~ If anyone feels odd speak up right away. Should we tie a rope around each other? That may get tricky in combat though~ ahhh~ I hope we don't have to deal with any of that~ but them's the breaks." @Frey Elzeiros @Sol

"STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPP!!"

Fiora cried out just as her attempt to using @Zelrius as a pillar to hide by failed, and Caccu (@mina*)'s revenge struck true. Her hair, her clothes... All of it stained with stupid jello like slime...

And she wasn't the only one, as Bun-bun herself, @Toko, suffered the same fate and spit out a promise she could fall behind with right before she left.

"Ohoho Bun-Bun, leave the cat to me." She added, staring daggers back at Caccu. "I'll make you eat so much slime, YOU GONNA END UP LOOKING LIKE A GODDAMN GREEN GLOWSTICK!"

 

[Sol]

Sol's eyes linger on @Frey Elzeiros for a moment as @Laylabelle speaks, an unreadable expression on her face as her lips pull into a thin, tight line. She turns her gaze onto the brunette as she finishes speaking, not able to stop the roll of her eyes.

"I'm fine, and I'll be fine. I'll let you know if I find anything."

She can't hide the flushed red colour of her cheeks as she turns away from the two, angrily scratching out a sketch she had been working on in her notebook before kicking a rock with her shoe.

 

[Jin]

When he hears @Shane comment from behind him, Jin fails to suppress an audible sigh. While it was tedious, why did it vex him so?

His disdainful gaze turned to regard the woman with a scornful smirk. "Are you certain your bright and cheery attitude won't do the job?" he snipped in response to her comment. Her logic was reasonable and sound, but the way she spoke came with the vaguest of implications that he would be unprepared. Disgusting.

When he noticed the cat-eared @Crimson Ruby scowling at both of them, his disappointment was immeasurable.

"And here I thought today would be almost enjoyable," he resigned himself, staving off the irritation that threatened to take root.

"If either of you has a light source, feel free to delve into the ruins deeper. For my part, there are still several levels of exterior ruin to scour."

 

[Celestine]

@Omega Redux

UWAAAAA!! Ghost!!

(Celestine jumps, the Trilobite slipping out of her hands toward @Ueno Mizuki while she latches on to an angry @Toko like a comfort blanket.)

T-th-this place is the h-h-haunted!?!?

 

[Tick Tock]

Shane blinked, taken back by the sudden display of passive aggressiveness @Jin just shot at her. Nothing she hasn't dealt with before, but for some reason that smirk of his got through her like no shiv could.

"That fire of yours befits a torch, that i'm certain of. Pray it lasts." She replied, meeting gazes for a long second as if the tension could reach it's climax at any moment, only to be interrupted at the apparation of a third-comer, @Crimson Ruby who had enough coal to add into the situation with her own share of disapproval. She held her breath, right hand ever so barely twitching with the need to quickdraw at this point.

"Enough. You made your point, so let's focus on this area first and then we move further once everything is clear." Eyeing both Jin and Ruby alike. "The sooner we are done, the sooner we can forget about eachother's faces." Despite his initial aggression, she couldn't deny a fact, however much it sickened her.

 

[Crimson Ruby]

Ruby hissed at @Jin's words, averting her face in pure annoyance. She didn't understand how she was getting so angry at all of this, but she was doing it and she was nearly pulling her cat claws out.

"I have one."

Calling forth the fire sphere @Sol gave her weeks ago, a small blaze appeared. It was warm and gentle, unlike the current Ruby.

"I hope you are right."

She told @Shane. By the tone of her voice, it was hard to know if that was a threat or a genuine hope.

 

[Roland Rutledge]

Roland shouts back at @Toko

That Felis! Didn't you hear her scream?

 

[Ueno Mizuki]

We caught the Trilobite yes, so we should return to the camp and hand it over to the MIT.

(The sound of crying halts Mizuki, although she has enough presence of mind to catch the Trilobite when Celestine lets go of it.)

I doubt it's a ghost. Sounds like crying.

(Leaving Celestine and Toko behind, Mizuki heads for the source of the sound. Finding Omega she puts the Trilobite in her pouch and secures it before squatting down next to the kid and patting her.)

You don't seem too badly hurt.

A green glow emanates from her hand as she gets to work fixing Omega's scrapes.

"D-Did you just let go of...?"

Shock crossed Toko's face upon having @Celestine's arms around her neck—which meant she was no longer holding a certain hard to catch trilobite. However before the Lepus could yell at the human for her mistake the voice of @Ueno Mizuki caught Toko's attention—and she had the trilobite in her hands now, thankfully.

"Of course it's not a ghost! Also what are you, five?!"

Her attention turns back to Celestine, trying to pry the girl off from her before the voice of @Roland Rutledge carries over to them.

"Oh?! Good riddance then, one less crybaby to babysit around here!"

 

[Tick Tock]

She was quick, not so quick as to get to @Crimson Ruby In time, apparently, as she found the woman drenched and wounded? Clearly catching up her breathe it seemed.

"Keep quiet. How did you get down here so fast?" She inquired, giving a glance back up to the distance between their original location, and what being deeper into the ruins looked like, still with no signs of @Jin, yet breaking into shouts to guide him would be a terrible decision, if not a death sentence. Hopefully, he would find his way here.

"We got a problem, an ugly one at that. There are corpses, and none of them were human at all, so stay low and check every corner." Last thing she wanted to deal with were giant bugs... "Have you seen the man we got here with? We need to let him know about this."

 

[Crimson Ruby]

Ruby growled at her words.

"How can I be quiet? I think I broke or displaced something..." She huffed, looking down at her leg, then back up at @Shane.

"I fell, I tried to get to the stairs, but it was too far to me." Ruby admitted, averting her eyes, annoyed.

"... What the hell do you mean by corpses? You mean this place is a morgue or something?"

 

[Sol]

As @Laylabelle healed Sol's wounds, the beastfolk managed to turn her head to the side slightly as the world came to focus enough for a moment, mouth opening to a croak as she fought her shaking to say something coherent.

"... T-Thank y-you."

 

[Brutus Dahlgren]

Emergency, the Adventurer's Guild is under fire from some big fuck off colossus. It killed Harold already, we need any and all backup that can be spared. We're playing protect the president with our Trilobite sample, but if we're not careful we're gonna lose everything we've gathered.
