Shortly after his broadcast, Ash tries to spread the word among those without UI access...

We've got a new status stack in the UI. Red Fever. Keep an eye on yourself and others - that might be what led to this massacre.

Someone keep track of the time. That way, we can see if it increases at regular intervals or there is something else at play. I don't think anyone was feeling particularly attentive to their UI to know when it first popped up?

I don't remember seeing this Red Fever thing before. If it's a stack as someone mentioned, we would've seen the effects become worse while making our way here. My concern is it conveniently showed up around the time we reached the bloodbath of a camp. If I had to guess, this might be related as to why the bloodbath happened in the first place.

No clue, but it's an area debuff clearly since no one seems to have noticed it before we got here, and the ones who been here before us probably didn't have a status bar to let them know.

Best thing we can do is to wait until anyone actually shows symptoms of this Red Fever thing, and attempt to dispel it.

Keep your eyes open for anyone acting weird.

Dispelling it all sounds well and good, but that doesn't stop the fact we're likely on the same timer for this thing to stack on, in addition to there only being so many healers around. We don't even have a proper quarantine set-up if we do manage to find a way to keep the Red Fever in check.
