Don't worry? Uhn... Well, I guess entering a guild on a whim can be fun too.

Then, Chako instantly shook her head after hearing Ruby's questions, "Oh, not really. Not at all! I'm pretty happy with dancing! That's what I wanna make my magic with!

"I just have a harp back home, so it's the first thing that came to mind... Like... Well, I dunno? Why play a harp here if I can play it there? I'd rather spend my time in Terrasphere doing the things I can't actually do instead! No reason to go out of my way to play an illegal game otherwise, right?" Chako stated with a smile. She wasn't sure what exactly to expect from the rumors surrounding the game, but... Everything so far has been a million times better than expected. From the legs, to the tails, to the ears to meeting up with Ruby. Chako really couldn't have expected any of it to go this well.

So, Chako continued going along with the dance as they talked, smiling more and more with each new step added, "What is a Liuqin though? I assume it's an instrument? I never heard of this one before." Chako wondered if it was a type of lyre, since Ruby brought it up in the middle of their conversation. Perhaps she could try it out to see how it sounds if that was the case.

Chako giggled at the mention of leading though, "Sure, when I stop feeling like my legs will give up on me with each step I take, I can try leading! Dunno how long that will take, but I'd love to if you'd let me!" Chako figured that was probably not happening though.

Still, she was confident on that one happening eventually at least. She may not be that sure about her ears getting trained with time, but her legs? Well... Surely her head would eventually get used to having functional legs and she wouldn't need to consciously put strength on her legs all the time to not fall down, right? It should become automatic eventually.

After all, if Ruby could move her ears and tails with complete ease, then the same should happen for Chako's legs eventually. That's how she felt right now.

"O-oh!" Chako exclaimed as she was spun around. She lost control of herself for a second and almost fell, but Ruby was there for her the whole time, so the movement ended up being almost smooth, "That was unexpected." Chako said with a beaming smile. It really was much more fun than she thought it was going to be... She really did not want to stop.

Ruby nodded at @Chako's words, but only partially. "There is nothing wrong with doing what you do in real life over here though. I myself am a dancer and musician... My true passion here, however, is exploring. Going to places nobody ever did, discovering things that aren't even on books or on pictures. The heat of the adventure here is amazing." She said, with a reminder of something direr that existed in the game looming in the back of her mind. The reminder was especially dire when her eyes set on Chako's, a little girl just like her little sister.

Her lips frowned, and as she was about to open her mouth to ask something, Chako's question about the liuqin interrupted her. "Oh, a liuqin is kind of like... a Chinese lute. I can show you later." She said, smiling and continuing to lead the fellow cat girl firmly.

The girl's reaction to the spin was endearing, and Ruby giggled at it, holding her secure to not let her fall. "I'm not sure what is more fun, to spin yourself or to spin someone else." She admitted. "Want to try to spin me?"

"Mmmm... I guess? But like... Time is limited and all that? Can't do everything, so I'd rather do here what I can't do there?" Chako replied half-heartedly. It's not like she disagreed with the idea of there being nothing wrong with doing the same things here as she did in real life... She just didn't see much of a point to it.

But at the same time, she wouldn't be dancing with Ruby if Ruby wasn't willing to dance in Terrasphere, so she was happy that Ruby didn't feel the same way about it.

"I do think exploring might be fun though! I wanna go sightsee all sorts of pretty places in here!" It didn't really matter to Chako if other people went there before or not though. She just wanted to go to new places, but... Hey, it's not like everybody needs to explore for the same reasons.

Wait, did Ruby just frown? Did I step on her foot? I think I didn't step on her foot... I hope I didn't step on her foot... Should I apologize...?

"Oh, a Chinese lute? Interesting! I'd like to see it later!" Well, she is back to smiling, so maybe it's fine? Hopefully...?

"S-spinning you!?"
Chako suddenly got quite nervous. Wouldn't she make Ruby fall if she messed up? That sounded really bad... But Chako did want to try...

Chako took a deep breath as they danced, "O-okay, here we go..." Stomped her feet firmly on the ground, and tried to mimic the motions Ruby did before to spin her in place.

"A busy bee, hm?" Ruby's ears twitched listening to @Chako's, assuming something by listening words that she felt she could only ever hear to someone that values their time immensely. Ruby's tails swayed at the interest of the little girl on exploration, chuckling and nodding. "It is very fun. I will bring you to an exploration someday. Maybe my little sister will like to have you as well."

— and as soon as Chako tried to spin Ruby, the cat dancer did what she could to help her.

Far more than unstable legs, what truly made the spin difficult in this case was the height difference, but Ruby was more than ready to try to make it go as smooth as possible.

As soon as Chako followed with the move, Ruby half crouched, rotating and going along with the movement, something that happened rather swiftly thanks to her dexterity and a bit of push from Dynamism. Overall, it looked a bit awkward, but it was a complete spin.

Ruby giggled along with it, looking at Chako with a tilting head when they were done. "That was good. We will practice it more later so you can do it with someone close to your own size. It is easier that way."

"Busy...?" Chako tried thinking a bit on her schedule... It's not like I study a lot or anything, harp practice doesn't take that much time, and I don't have to visit the doctor that often... Chako shook her head, "Nope. I'm actually quite free! You probably have way less free time than I do!" It's not like Chako knew much about what the schedule of pros was like, but she was confident it was busier than her schedule at least.

"I guess I just... Want to make the most of this place? Coming here is a dream come true to me, after all!" Chako thought a bit on the past hour or two she has been playing... She actually enjoyed all of it. Even getting kicked from parties was fun... It was fun to see people actually allowing themselves to get angry at her when she messed up. She wasn't automatically pitied when anything happened in here.

For the first time in her life, Chako was normal. And she wouldn't give up on that for anything.

"Oh, a little sister!" Chako's ears perked up, "Is it fun to have siblings? My classmates usually complain about theirs, but I dunno... I just think I'd like to have one? We could go shopping together or something!" And they could push my wheelchair, so mom wouldn't have to always be the one to do it...

Chako stopped talking for a bit as she focused on her and Ruby's movements... She didn't realize it until Ruby was done spinning, but Chako was actually holding her breath for that short while, and she heaved a huge sigh of relief when Ruby showed no signs of tripping and falling onto the ground.

"Someone my size...?" Chako didn't think that was really possible... Oh, wait! I'm not stuck in a wheelchair here! And I'm not unhealthily underheighted here either! "I guess it could be possible to find someone like that!" Chako smiled for a second, before the words that Ruby had said finally finished processing on her head.

Then, she suddenly looked downwards and started fidgeting, "W-was that really good...? Like... Like, really? I-I didn't mess up really badly with my steps...?" Chako thought Ruby was just being gentle. That she most likely hadn't fell down simply because Ruby was holding her... There's just no way it was good, right...?

"Hmm, that's fair." Ruby's tails swayed. The girl looked young, but she had a good head on her shoulders, overall. Ruby couldn't help but wonder if it was because of whatever that made her sound so 'restrained' from doing so many things out there. It certainly didn't seem like Ruby's own situation was anywhere near as complex as @Chako's.

Ruby's smile warmed at the question, and her ears twitched. "Yes, it is wonderful. I love my sister." She chuckled. "But the experiences vary, sometimes family can be too much. But I would say no matter what happens between us, I'd still love her more than anyone else."

When the little girl showed uncertainty on her skills, Ruby simply nodded reassuringly. "It was as well as a beginner that has never danced could do. Nobody was born knowing how to do everything, Chako." Ruby's tails swayed. "So yes, I think you did pretty well. You are doing even better by continuing your practice—"

A wide smirk then crossed Ruby's lips, and her tail sneaked under Chako's chin, encouraring her to to raise her face. "Now, why don't we step it up~?" Ruby gently pulled Chako closer, gluing the little girl against her and speeded up her steps, using exactly the movements they have been practicing so far, but quicker and allowing her body to be thrown and swinged by the momentum.

Chako's ears perked up when hearing Ruby talk about her little sister, though one sentence stood out for her a bit, "Family being too much? Like... When your sister insists in borrowing one of your best dresses for a date when you know she doesn't care that well for her clothes and you really don't want her to ruin that dress, but she's also really persistent and keeps on saying stuff like, 'it's not like you're gonna need it or anything in your eternal single life' while keeping trying to borrow it over and over again, until you eventually give in and let her borrow it, only for the dress to come back while dirtied with some food that left some stains that are basically impossible to remove?" or at least that's what Chako once heard one of her classmates rant about. She never understood why the sister in question couldn't just go out with her own dresses though. It felt like a really easy solution to stop this bickering from happening in the first place.

Although maybe the sister had already ruined her own dresses, so she now needed more dresses to ruin... Chako wondered to herself.

Regardless of those fleeting thoughts though, Chako smiled when hearing how special Ruby's sister was for her, "That's just how I feel with mom! Even if we fight sometimes, I definitely love her more than anybody else!"

And also, her ears perked up again when hearing Ruby talk about her skills, As well as a beginner... It just... Made sense. Chako could smile a bit when hearing that.

Though the tail sneaking up at her chin made Chako jump in place, "Nyaaaa!?" Wait, what did I just scream!?

Chako would have probably fallen on the ground by then if it wasn't for Ruby holding her in place. It was too much surprise at once. Both from the tail and from her own scream.

"W-wait, speed up!? R-Ruby, I don't think that's a good- nyaaa!!!" Chako clumsily moved along with Ruby's steps; Chako was... Somehow managing it. Chako had a hard time believing it herself. It was scary, but also fun... Before Chako realized it, she was already smiling again

"That's... Incredibly specific." Ruby frowned, raising an eyebrow at @Chako while wondering if she had gone through a similar situation. "But no, haha. I mean, maybe someday I will have this kind of problem with her, but she is much younger than me, so any dress she may need for a date with anyone would probably be dresses that don't even fit me anymore." She giggled at the idea. It was only natural some of her clothes would be used by her little sister at some point. At least the well conserved ones.

"Sounds like you have a wonderful mother then." She hummed, and the tail waved against Chako's chin, tickling her before she focused on the dance.

"Meooow~ Meeeoooooow~" Ruby meowed along, mostly as a tease to the squeaky nyas the little cat girl was slipping at every sharp movement they did. "What do you mean, I think it is a great idea~!" She laughed, feeling joy bubbling in her heart while she allowed the flow of the dance take care of them. Ruby knew it was too much, especially for someone that has never danced before, but she wished to let Chako have fun.

Every circling movement was like a flight around the world, every step back and forth was challenging on its own. However, the true heartskipping moment was as soon as Ruby took a couple steps back, and swayed with Chako once, twice, and then spun one time before jumping holding the girl closely in a mid-air twirl.

Upon landing, Ruby made sure to keep the girl stable, keeping the tight hold for a couple seconds before laughing and leaning away, resting her hands softly on Chako's shoulders, with her tails swaying side to side. "So, how did it feel?"

"Oh, right. People like venting to me a lot at school... I guess it's because I actually listen to them?" Chako didn't even get the point of talking to someone without listening to what they said... Wasn't it better to just cut the conversation off if you weren't interested in the first place? It felt too strange to hear that people actually did this sort of thing to each other.

"Ah, I see. A big difference in ages... Would you be okay with your little sister dating someone?" Chako was curious... She saw her mother's reactions whenever the topic of dating was brought up... Would an older enough sister also get worried a lot over their little sister finding a good partner and the like? Or was this just handled differently between sisters than how it is by mother and daughter?

"That I do! I can't even imagine how life would be like without mom!" Probably horrible, but Chako really didn't want to even imagine it... A-and those tail strokes are seriously ticklish!

Chako then started blushing as Ruby started meowning, "I-it's not like I do it on purpose!" Chako exclaimed as she went along with the dance. Putting her all on simply not falling nor stepping on Ruby, "It's just too fast-! NYAAAAA!" Chako screamed loudly enough, once she was lifted off the ground, that her ears actually started hurting... So I can even do that to myself...?

Luckily, it wasn't the kind of pain that was loud enough to create a ringing in her ears that left her a bit deaf for a while, but it was still troublesome.

Once back on the ground, Chako was sure that she would immediately fall on her butt, but Ruby kept hold of her until she stabilized, so instead, Chako just panted for a bit, "H-how did it feel...?" Chako's tails started wagging back and forth, "T-terrifying!" Chako's ears were facing forward, "I-I couldn't believe it when my feet just left the ground," Chako's pupils dilated, "And and and... And I can't wait to do it again!"

... Wait, that's not what I was meant to say... And what's up with those tails!? Cats' tails don't wag!
Chako slapped her own tails, Ah, whatever...

Chako stepped ahead and hugged Ruby, burying her face on Ruby's chest, "Thank you... Thank you so much..." Chako felt a few tears getting to her eyes. This place really is... A dream come true.

Ruby tilted her head slightly. "Hmm, but are you making sure to be heard just as much? Only listening without letting it out yourself will make you feel bad eventually." She suggested, but also didn't want to assume that @Chako was just being a vent dumpster for others to use whenever the felt fitting.

"Haha... If my little sister started dating, as long as it isn't with a creep, like some weird old guy trying to have his way with her, I wouldn't interrupt." Ruby said. "My family was very strict with me, I don't want the same for her."

The following sentence gave warmth to Ruby's chest, and she smiled widely. "What a lovely daughter, huh~? I am sure your mom love you just as much." It was hard to think someone's love for another that was so intense wouldn't be reciprocated like that. The innocence of the young ones was endearing— Not that Ruby herself was old, she was an adult but still had plenty to learn.

Upon the landing, and after their dance was mostly done, Ruby ruffled Chako's hair and chuckled as she hugged her back. She allowed Chako to stay as much as she needed, trying to soothe her with a gentle caress on her head. "Of course. Music and dance is a lovely thing. It has no language, culture, race, or age barrier. It is something that can connect anyone to another." Ruby hummed, wishful.

"Helping you to learn or experience it is an honor."

Chako gave out a wryly laugh, "Sometimes, I guess? Depends on who I'm talking to...?" Chako couldn't imagine herself venting to anybody other than her mom and her best friend, Evelyn. With her other friends she just did small talk, usually... She just didn't feel comfortable near anyone who seemed to pity her.

A strict family though... "Like... They didn't want you staying out past 10pm on parties or something?" Chako tried remembering some things her friends mentioned, "I guess that would be annoying... Not that I go to parties in the first place. They sound like a pain." Loud bad music for people to dance to while drunk, while she was stuck in her wheelchair... Definitely didn't sound like a fun time.

"Your little sister is really lucky to have such a wonderful older sister though!" Chako meant it. She wished to have someone who would encourage her on this sort of thing. Would make the whole process easier... Though she was not going to burden Ruby with that, so she just smiled at Ruby's remark, "Yes! Mom cares a lot for me!"

Then, with the dance done, Chako started purring again once her head was ruffled... It was still awkward, but she allowed herself to enjoy that comforting feeling for a while.

Though Ruby's words pained Chako's heart a bit. Her ears went a bit downwards as she heard them, "Right... No language, culture, race or age barrier..." But a wheelchair was an impossible-to-overcome barrier... At least without Terrasphere.

Not the time to be feeling down, Lisa... Come on, come on! You're in your dreamland, smile! Chako forced herself to smile, "The honor is all mine! This was way more fun than my first harp lessons, and I love the harp!"

Chako then took a step back, letting go of the hug, "So, uhn... Is there a beginner town or something? I'm kinda starting to go hungry..." Before turning off basically every UI element Chako could think of, she did see that there was a hunger meter of sorts, so she figured it must be low right now... She liked that she could just feel the hunger instead of needing to actually open the UI to check that thing though. She preferred to keep those things all off.

Ruby mostly laughed at @Chako's words and questions regarding her sisterhood and the limitations. She simply ruffled the girl's hair, shaking her head. "A little more complicated than that. But we don't need to worry about that, we don't live with our family anymore." It was a tough decision, and it came with a lot of responsibilities, but at the end of the day, it was the right choice.

Whatever it was that had made Chako feel bad, Ruby responded with a soft squish during the hug and left at that, not wanting to ask further unless the girl spoke about it.

"I do want to hear your harp someday." Ruby said, then pondered as their hug parted.

"Closest town should be Honeyhome... Well, at least it is close to me, but I run quite fast." She thumbed her own chest with confidence. "I can escort you there, or even give you a ride, if you want." Her tails swayed, wondering which one was the best option for Chako.

"We don't live with our family anymore."

This didn't sound a little more complicated... It sounded a lot more complicated than what Chako had just described... But she decided to not pry too much into it. It sounded like the kind of thing one wouldn't share with someone they just met.

Nonetheless, Chako purred again at the hair ruffle, Why does this keep on happening!? And while she did think that, she didn't actually mind it much. She was pretty happy right now, after all.

"Oh, you would!?" Though Chako instantly realized it wouldn't be very realistic to try showing Ruby the harp outside of the game, so... "Maybe getting a harp here wouldn't be that bad, after all..." Chako started smiling as she also had an idea... Bet she'll be surprised by it.

Chako's eyes suddenly went wide at Ruby's next statement though, "A-a ride!?" Wouldn't that be uncomfortable!? Or even rude for her!?

Though more importantly than that... "Uhn... If it's not too much trouble to you, I'd prefer walking to this Honeyhome place... I wanna make good use of these, you know?" Chako tapped her own knees, "A ride would take the fun out of that.

"... I can't walk very fast though."
Chako meekly stated.

Though honestly speaking, a ride at supersonic speed did sound like a fun time to be had too... But Chako was far from done with experimenting what it was like to have functional legs. She really didn't want to get back to being carried around. At least not until she logged out.

"I'm sure it wouldn't. I mean, when having music around is ever a bad idea? Unless you want to be quiet to sneak somewhere, of course." Ruby chuckled at her own reminder.

Ruby's tails continued to sway back and forth while @Chako was pending an answer, and when it finally came, Ruby's ears perked up and she nodded with a small smile. "A stroll is very welcomed too, Chako." She reassured, offering a hand for the young cat girl to take.

"We can take our time, I'm not in a hurry. But let me know if you get too tired." Ruby added, waiting for the girl to get ready for their walk.

The walk to the Honeyhome would take a while if they didn't keep up a quick pace, but in one hour or so they could reach it without any major issues. The forest was still close enough to the town to not have many dangers, much less dangers that couldn't be warded off by Ruby if things came to worse.

"During class!" Chako instantly replied, "Or when you want to be sneaky, I guess. That too." Probably a more likely situation than having classes in Terrasphere.

"Okay, I'll be in your care, then!" Chako held onto Ruby's hand as they started walking.

It's not like she coooouldn't walk without holding someone's hand, but... Trips were decently frequent from her own experience so far, and she felt like it would be a bit too embarrassing to fall down while on a peaceful walk with someone, so... She decided she'd prefer to have a failsafe.

And so they walked... And walked... And walked... At first Chako was quite excited. Taking in the view, enjoying the landscape. Just being happy about having functional legs in general, actually.

But after what felt like an eternity, which was probably closer to some thirty minutes or so, Chako couldn't help asking, "Uhn... How much longer do we need to walk to get there?" Like, Chako was sure Ruby had said the place was near, so Chako was expecting like, a two minutes walk. Five minutes tops. After all, the designers couldn't have made villages stay much farther from each other or they would bore players.

But at the same time, Chako didn't feel like Ruby had any reason to pull a prank on her to make them walk in circles, so... Chako was just lost at this point.

The Eastern Brisshal forest was as wonderful but as deceiving as any seemingly peaceful forest was. Devoid of commotion, only the sound of the birds and the footsteps embracing their ears. It was almost as if there were no wolves or goblins ready to tackle in at any moment.

But that was nothing for @Chako to worry about. Ruby kept her ears and eyes wary to the approach of anything hostile while they had their stroll.

When questioned about how far they were, Ruby peeked up at the sky and then pondered about how long they have been walking. "So, we walked this far, right? We need to walk around the same amount again to get to Honeyhome, it is really close!" She explained.

"Generally with a wagon it is faster, so don't worry about travelling to other towns, it is easier to just grab a ride with merchants or something. But inside of the forest, it is hard to ride a vehicle, really." Ruby shrugged.

Chako's mouth went agape as she heard Ruby's answer, "H-how is this really close!? We've been walking for ever!" She was so astonished that she completely forgot how to make her legs work for a second, so she almost fell down on the ground, but she managed to stay on her feet by holding tightly to Ruby's hand.

Ruby's next words only made things worse though, "W-what's up with the devs' head!? Like, wagons, really!? D-did they get inspired by the development of Dogmatic Drake 2? Can't we get some teleport portals or something at least!?"

It's not like Chako wanted to skip the exploration or anything, but surely some convenience was nice? Who had the time to walk for a whole hour to reach the beginners' village!?

Well, she had, clearly. And apparently Ruby had too, but still!

"... I can see why you travel at supersonic speeds. Definitely saves a lot of time." Chako felt a bit bad about wasting Ruby's time like that when the trip was so much longer than she thought it would be.

"Say..." Chako fidgeted a bit, "Is the 'giving me a ride' offer still up?

"T-though could you avoid going fast enough to create a sonic boom at least...?" Chako's ears went down, "I-I don't think I'd be able to manage hearing that for a while..."

Ruby's eyes widened briefly when @Chako almost fell, holding the girl tight and firm back up until she got her legs back to place again. Before she could ask if the girl was fine, however, Ruby simply laughed, tilting her head and pondering about Chako's words. "Honestly... Everything in this game feels realistic, and that includes the world building." She said, looking at Chako. "Sometimes it does feel like the world is just as big as ours... Or maybe even bigger. I've travelled across most of the places we have registered, and I still see horizons of lands, waiting to be explored."

An apologetic smile crossed Ruby's lips, and she shook her head. "Teleports aren't impossible, but they are quite rare. I've seen just a very few of them in all my time playing this game."

Slowing down, Ruby looked at Chako, saying her tails and giving the girl a gentle ruffle. "Of course. And don't worry, even if I go too fast, you will be protected from the sound. Even I would become deaf having a sonic boom so close to my ears." She said playfully, carefully crouching in front of the girl, waiting her to hop on and get comfortable.

"Let me know when you are ready."

"Everything... Right, I can see that." Chako tapped her own knees, "Those certainly feel far more real than in any VR I tried before." which Chako always gave up on really quickly, because they just felt awkward. Quite contrasting to how Terrasphere was.

Didn't make the giant travel times any less frustrating though... Especially after hearing Ruby's next words, "Bigger than real life!? For real!?

"Well, it does give me something to look forward to, I guess, with lots of nice pretty places to explore, but... God, I'm dreading the travel time now." Maybe there is a spell that makes you travel faster... I should try learning one later if it exists.

"Guess what can't be helped can't be helped."
Chako shrugged, "I'm certainly not gonna stop playing just because of long travel times!" Chako smiled. Now that she knows this is just going to be the norm, she just had to accept it for what it was and prepare herself accordingly for any trip she went on. It honestly didn't sound that bad now that she thought of it. She did plan on playing for as many hours as she reasonably could each day, after all... Which essentially meant as many hours as her mom allowed her to, of course.

And luckily enough, Chako's mom didn't mind Chako spending a lot of time gaming or watching animes or whatever. She knew Chako had some serious restrictions on the kind of hobbies she could have with her legs being how they were, after all. The restrictions she put in were mostly to make sure Chako didn't harm her own body, nor had the gaming get in the way of her studies.

"Protected from the sound? For real?" That sounded pretty cool! Chako had no idea how any of that worked, but that sounded very cool to her. Maybe it's because the Sonic Boom gets left behind you or something? Chako theorized, but decided to not give it too much thought and just trust Ruby. She wasn't that good at physics in the first place anyways, so it wasn't the kind of thing she wanted to dwell on.

So, Chako smiled, and once again said, "Guess I'll be in your care!" And happily got on Ruby's back, "Ready when you are!" She hugged Ruby tightly.

Ruby chuckled at @Chako's exclamation, remarking: "It is what I've heard about." She booped the little girl's nose, letting her get ready on her back while adding— "But don't worry, you will get used to it, and you will learn to enjoy it too. Long travels come with long fun too, camping, star gazing, hunting. You can bet that a travel from a place that is far from another isn't just about walking and walking. This may be a game, but it comes with plenty of conflict instead of just being a walking simulator."

She adjusted Chako on her back, feeling the hug of the girl and noticing that she was mostly ready, which was when Ruby turned her face to look at her.

"So like. Even the travel is an adventure in itself." She winked, turning her face forward before blasting off in a high-escalating speed. The surroundings would blur, and the speed would feel rather overwhelming at first until they got used to it.

The wind was strong and it brushed their skins, but at the same time, they typical sound of the wind rushing against your ears didn't occur— As a layer of Dynamism and Harmonic Magic protected them from being engulfed by the rush. It wouldn't take long for them to pierce out of the forest mass, widening the view from the wall of trees to an open horizon where a cute hamlet could be seen from afar.
