"With what you've shown today... I doubt you won't be able to accomplish it..." Ronja said, confident in her girlfriend's skills.

Giggles escaped from her mouth when she was lifted, warmed that despite both of them agreeing their knight-princess play was being harmful for them in a way, the good parts of it still remained. Even if that still concerned the magia slightly, who wished to both of them to enjoy their times without risking each other.

"Are you telling me... that I will need to cook for us..? Lena can't... pamper the two of us... forever."

As they neared the Art Gallery, Ronja looked at Nico, nodding in confirmation to her 'teamwork plan', reaching for the doorknob before twisting it.

Whenever Nico pushed the door open, a room filled with art would be revealed... Arts of all types, crafts that occupied tables that surrounded the room, sculptures that were less numerous, but still existant in there. Paintings were also in generous amounts, making the colorless walls become a flurry of endless colors, that when mixed together, felt more like an abstract composition, or a mosaic. Shelves and cabinets with several tools rested by the lower area of the walls, giving Ronja some advantage to pick up anything she needed.

Ronja looked at the art pieces for a moment, taking a deep breath before shrugging. "Since I... Started being like this... I think." Ronja said.

"There wasn't much for me to do. I couldn't go out as easily, I couldn't play around... and I couldn't stand... So all I had was to paint, to fantasize with my own art, and express my desires..." Ronja explained, looking at Nico.

"It may sound bad at first... But it changed my life in many ways..."

"Look at you," She nodded in her direction, a playful huff escaping her lips. "Making me all fuzzy... Keep that up and I'll be the next Beethoven." The mental image of herself with a fancy tail-ended suit came to mind, almost cartoonish. "And I'll tell everyone 'Yup I became a piano legend because she told me so'" Such was the power Ronja's confidence holds.

The questioning over who would cook or who wouldn't made a chill run down her whole body just as Ronja mentioned exactly who would be their chef of tonight, even if the possibility was remote at best. "I meaaan, you can always teach me or give me instructions or whatever. I gotta learn, but I don't want food go to waste." A sentiment that, as a food lover, was mood killing at worst, sinful at best.

When they made it inside however, Nico spread her lips open, speechless over every inch of the Gallery being covered in what felt like a lifetime of progress. Each piece an improvement on the last, despite being completely different. Even sculpting wasn't far off from her skills, and the first thing she stepped towards.

"Wait, you sculpted these too?! That's amazing." Disbelief and admiration alike within her voice. With her weak Ronja could be sometimes, to see that much effort, determination and time poured into her art turned out to be breath-taking for the pinkette.

Nico listened, at the same time she took stops across the mural closest to the door, motionless from the neck down as she focused her eyes over each colour splashed about the once white and empty walls, only taking few steps to the side to move on to the next 'section'.

"Oh I understand." Nico's eyes went back down to met with her lover's. "You made the best out of it. Look at this all, it's beautiful." She exhaled through her nose, almost like a sigh done at a job well done. "You had plenty of time, huh..."

Rapunzel came to mind, and how much sense it made for Ronja to stick herself to such a tale...

"One day I'll convince Ari and Val to come over. I'll figure out how to take you out of here even. I mean, maybe with an electric wheelchair you could go around without worrying about me carrying you. There's a lot out there to see." She smiled, her voice growing lighter at the sudden reminder: "There's a lot of festivals coming around this time of the year. Like, Valentine's day, I think? I'll get you some nice chocolate and we'll go stargazing. No Lenas allowed."

Ronja rose her eyebrows, leaning in. "Then maybe... I should continue making you fuzzy..." She smiled, a bit more playful as she paused to tilt her head, musing about her girlfriend's reaction to the idea of cooking. "I could instruct you... yeah..." Ronja said at first. "But honestly... I'm not the best cook. I know how to cook, yes, but as you... probably know... I don't practice it that much." She admitted, slightly pensive about it.

This one thing was partially her fault, since she did rely on her maids way too much, but now that there was a possibility of them simply not having them around at some point, made it clear that maybe she should've practiced more.

She didn't have time to let her thoughts focus too much on it, however, with the compliments making her smile and blush faintly. "Thank you... I did... work a lot on all my art... Time was very generous, at the very least..." She sighed, then gestured at a small stool with wheels. "You can... drop me there." Ronja said, even if she felt more comfortable in Nico's arms, she couldn't bother her forever about it.

"If they could come, it would be amazing." She softly clasped her hands together. "I do... have an electric wheelchair... I have three wheelchairs, uhm... main ones, that is." It almost sounded like a collection, but each had its own use.

The mention of Valentine's Day and the plans Nico had in mind made Ronja sheepish, but she nodded along with it. "That... All sounds wonderful, Nico..."

Nico took the opportunity just as Ronja got herself a little too close to the gremlin. She played around and found out, once Nico went after her cheek and nommed on it, tugging just a little from it. "Grrr..." Playful growls followed until she let go with a jester's smile, finally letting her mind sink into Ronja's words. "Where were we... Oh, yup-- Learning's the fun part. We can handle cooking if we do it together, just gotta pit our strengths together and pray we don't burn down the mansion." She nodded, obviously confident this outcome would not happen more than maybe once.

"I can see it." She replied, blinking at first as she span on her heel in a general direction towards where Ronja pointed at. Once her eyes found the little stool, Nico slowly fell to one knee and rested her art princess on the stool, like royalty herself. "First time I admit a stool with wheels is useful." Last one she had, she just rolled away from it moreso than she wanted to admit, out of her own volition.

Folding her arms under her bust and her legs crossed on the ground, Nico gave her own idea a quick revision. Given all that's happened, she didn't know how willing they would be to travel, but telling so to Ronja would be like breaking her hopes after handing them over.

"I'll see what I can do, just gotta let me talk about it with Ari first, see how's the thing rollin' for him." Making note to avoid using any words that could hint to the past few days. "Heh, three main wheelchairs? That's a lot of spares. Do they break that often?" She knew nothing about wheelchairs in the first place, other than being chairs with four wheels that roll about, so it couldn't hurt to ask.

Planting the palm of her hands onto the floor, her gaze grew curious once Ronja nodded along with her idea all abashed. "Only tell me that once we actually do it. I put actions where my mouth is, not just words. But! You already know thaaaat." Her voice stretched these last words along with a yawn. "Y'know, as soon as I eat something I'm gonna drop like a log. The flight was kinda long not gonna lie."

Ronja blinked when her cheek was 'noomed', giggling sheepishly as she feigned a squirm. "Noooo, I am not edible-!" She protested playfully until Nico leaned away, with a smile covering Ronja's lips just as she listened to Nico.

"We won't need to pray because... we won't burn down the mansion." Ronja said, shaking her head and showing a fake scolding expression to Nico as she was carefully laid on the wheeled stool. She offered a grateful smile to Nico, followed by a gentle kiss on her cheek before she adjusting herself on the seat. "It is... Very useful. It doesn't occupy... a lot of space." She explained. "As for the wheel chairs... One is electric and the other is manual... The third one is a manual spare... It is smaller too." Ronja elaborated, looking at Nico that was set on the floor, and then sliding herself toward the nearest table.

"Ari... I didn't talk to him much yet... But I must, considering he is such a close friend of yours... And Val's boyfriend too..." There was a lot of people she should know a bit more, but he certainly was one of her priorities currently.

Ronja couldn't help but chuckle at Nico's words. "Our lunch should be ready soon, honestly... We lunch and dinner early... in here..." She explained.

"If you ain't edible, you shouldn't be so sweet!" She lolled her tongue out at Ronja, sending it back in her maws just as she went from giggling and smiling to 'scolding' her. Any more and she might just get a finger wagged on her direction, "You are right, I bet there are plenty fire extinguishers, yeah." She chuckled along.

Her display of good manners earned her a nice kiss on the cheek for the extra bit of effort her knees and back had to deal with. A small price to pay for a smile, but nonetheless grateful to have a moment to rest as she flopped down and listened. "Imagine if we could make a bunch of aid-lings grab your wheelchair and just carry you around like that. Maybe even hover in the air. Call it the hover-chair." While silly, her eyes did actually put that thought into consideration if Ronja were to notice, despite how wild the idea seemed. A flying wheelchair, it helped her to picture Ronja as some super villain almost.

Pushing herself back up to her feet, Nico tagged along when her lover went over to one of the tables, making mention of Ari in particular. She scratched the back of her head, uncertain how to word out her thoughts. "We aren't close. I don't really have close friends." Her voice was neutral despite the little frown pushing down her brows. "I guess you could say Val is 'kinda' close, but she knows nothing compared to what you do. Only that I had bad experiences with relationships." She paused, sitting down on the carpet this time. "Ari is a quiet guy, he doesn't talk much about himself, and I don't talk much about myself. We watch eachother's backs because of the game and all, but that's it. And I like it that way-- Besides, you don't need to know every single friend I have. I mean, I don't know who the hell Harper is, for instance. So long as she's just a friend." She shrugged, but given how she helped on Ronja's rescue, she might get as bad of a stick as Val did.

Just as if astramancy was in play, as soon as the brunette made mention of their dinner, a few knocks happened upon the door, getting Nico to turn towards the door as it gently slid open, and a pair of dark magenta eyes cast themselves over to the room.

Miss Riemenschneider? Lunch is ready.

The maid spoke, opening the door completely, hands clasped together against her apron as she gave a quick glance over to notice the lack of any of her lady's wheelchairs. A curious brow rised, and her face said enough for Nico to clear her throat.

"I uhh, I'll take her there... If you would allow me?" Nico replied, gaze set upon Ronja, taking such a quick 180° on her voice, as if having to address the queen of england herself. She had to give a good impression infront of one of the maids, at least.

Sweat ran down Nico's forehead as she heard a very muffled giggle out of the lady, who simply awaited in silence. Her face was readable enough as to what she wanted to inquire about, which Nico had promptly asked in her stead.

"That wasn't what I meant-" Ronja rolled her eyes when Nico mentioned the fire extinguishers, but at that point, she knew her girlfriend was just teasing her about it. Her eyes lowered as she pondered about Aid-Lings carrying her around, and she couldn't help but look at Nico with a puzzled expression. "Maybe it would be better to make... a flying wheel chair than making Aid-Lings that carry a wheel chair... It is more self-sustainable." She supposed, even if she knew Nico was just joking.

Her head tilted, pondering for a moment before deciding to ask-

"So you live... in the house of someone... that isn't your close friend?" She questioned, curious about it, genuinely as she thought about the implications. "Maybe... You are closer to him than you think." Ronja smiled faintly.

"He also... Risked his life to come with you to save me... I don't think someone... That isn't close enough to another would do without hesitation..." Or maybe there was something else she didn't know... And perhaps, that was the case.

Her eyes then trailed toward the maid that had just appeared, and a smile crossed Ronja's lips as she seemed a bit confused.

"Don't worry... I will be going soon... Nico will carry me there." She said, blatantly albeit with a rosiness covering her cheeks, just as she turned to look at her lover. "Shall we go, Nico?"

As expected, Ronja had a better idea in her head in regards to flying wheel-chairs, if only she hadn't fallen for her trap too: Why make it a WHEELchair when it's gonna be flying anyways? Nico's smugness didn't die off even now as she kept quiet about that little detail.

Until it did, and despite that, Nico kept herself at bay from giving her a cold shoulder. "A close friend doesn't keep that many secrets." She replied, unable to keep her voice from getting dry. "You said it yourself, you didn't talk to him much. I did. Trust my judgement on this one." That would be for the best. For everyone.

Very well. Ten minutes, five maybe, considering Ortensia will be your chef today.

She replied before taking her leave. Of course they all could cook, but Ortensia simply had a hand with the kitchen unlike the rest of the maids.

Nico on the other hand, was completely enthralled with Ronja's eyes and the bluntness of her answer, which the maid didn't seem to even bat an eye at, despite everything it could imply. "A-always." She replied, by now used to the two steps between asking permission with her approach and lifting her lover up on her arms, before heading their way down to the dining room.

The silence within the room was broken with noisy steps. Nico's eyes perked up, hands resting against the table once a figure popped into the room with a large enough tray, and Karin, the redheaded maid, followed along with a tray of her own. The beverages were plenty, two glasses for each, a jar full of water and one full of natural orange juice made certain some variety could be given. The bubbly maid holding their meals, however...

"You two gonna LOVE this!" Ortensia's smile shun just as hard as the sun once she circled around Ronja, standing right next to her. "One slightly creamy mushroom stroganoff for my lady." And she moved once again, with the grace of a dancer on their own territory.

"Ortensia..." The older maid didn't know if sigh, frown, or hope Lena wouldn't reprimend the girl for her upbeat nature whenever she felt the slightest connection to a guest.

"Jeez I'm just making it more fun for them, Kary!" She rolled her eyes, before reaching out for Nico this time. "Aaaand some noodles for our guest. Crispy tofu and some garlic- Oh! And chili! Can't forget a bit of spice."

"Heavens..." Karin sighed off, waiting for her co-worker to make some distance with the pair once her gaze met with the chef's "Please, enjoy."

With the little act out, Nico just drummed her fingers against the table, giving a long look at the tray that had some extra seasoning left upon very small portions inside very small bowls, almost cups at that point.

"I just wanna say, I kinda liked to find one maid around here that ain't intimidating." She finally spoke, giggling as she felt her brain fully awake out of a sudden with the bombastic entrance and all that Ortensia had done.

Ronja peeked at Nico, giggling faintly as she was picked up and carried away to the dining room.

Her gaze scanned the food with water starting to fill her mouth. Creamy mushroom stroganoff, it seemed like the cook of the day was inspired-- Perhaps for the wrong reasons, knowing her. "Don't worry, Karin... I am grateful for both of you being wonderful hosts to Nico." She smiled. "This is all looking very tasty, Ortensia..." Ronja said, joyfully.

"You need... to stop seeing the maids as intimidating people..." Ronja said, looking at Nico and letting out a brief sigh. "Lena... is the only one I can understand feeling... intimidated. But even in her case, it is... because she holds more than just the function of headmaid." She explained, this time with a quieter tone.

"But still... I promise that situation won't happen again." Ronja's face grew more serious, one that reflected the same expression as she did whenever Fiora misbehaved when they were playing.

Her expressions then softened, looking at the meal and offering Nico a smile. "Anyway... We must eat while it is still warm... Ortensia is a sweetie, and her food is probably the best... Even if she is a bit unorganized." Ronja complimented the maid, albeit frowning slightly. "... Something about... Love being a wonderful secret ingredient?" She quoted the cheerful maid.

"If it's not very tasty, then I'll start packing, my lady!" She went straight into extremes, bolstering her confidence to the top-- She poured her all into every meal, and if that wasn't enough, then clearly she's not meant to be here yet!

"I apologize for my co-worker and her antics, Ms. Bellantoni. I assure you this is not a common occurrence."

"I-it's okay, really!" Nico replied, waving a hand to the pair of maids, doubling as a 'good bye' given how they retreated and slid around the corner to disappear out of view. Blue eyes shuffled back to Ronja once her lover begun to express her discontent. "I know..." She sighed off, leaning back against her chair, shoulders dropping out their tension.

Only to regain it once seriouness accentuated how hard she would face Lena just for her. A mixture between shyness and healthy fear blended in her, eventually leading into a quaint smile. "Thanks. If- Yeah, if you can keep Lena from being like that then it shouldn't be hard for me to chill out. Specially with these two." She made a vague gesture from where the maids just exited.

Nico grabbed onto her fork, tapping her side only to realize there is no knife for her to cut the noodles with. "Thought you would never say it." She smirked, finally settling for using the fork alone instead to eat, giving it a first bite to be her own judge despite what Ronja explained. Her eyes widened, stopping mid-way to stab her fork down on them noodles and sent a bunch more into her lips. "Hmhhh! Thish is amashing."

"Awwwh, Miss Riemenschneiderrr... She remembers it!" Ortensia whispered to herself once she finished eavesdropping on what she presumed to be a lovers's date. Until a hand pulled from her ear, the only thing keeping her whimpers in silence being her own strong will to not be caught in the first place.

"Ortensia, if miss Lena finds out you were eavesdropping, you are going to be in so much trouble... We have work to do." Karin whispered, before dragging the cook away with herself, despite knowing the reasoning behind the intrusion in the first place.

It made her day better to see Ronja this lively, compared to the last few days.

She paused to swallow it all down before continuing. "When you do something, you have to do it like you mean it. It's not a secret ingredient though, it's just very hard to get. A good chef follows a recipe, the best of them cook with heart and soul." Sentimentalism ran through her voice, closing her eyes for a second, spinning her fork over the pasta. "Piano's the same, and I'm sure art is the same for you. And for our dream."

Ronja offered a small smile for the two maids as they left, giving them an 'it is fine' handwave before returning all her attention to Nico, pursing her lips. "I shouldn't... Have allowed things to escalate like that... But I also didn't know how far Lena would go..." She sighed, shaking her head in disapproval not only to herself, but also to the headmaid's actions.

Those thoughts, however, soon faded as Nico went all into the food, making Ronja giggle faintly while she took a fork of her stroganoff, already enjoying every inch and bite of it, humming in pleasure to the taste of the mushroom melting on her mouth as she rested a hand on her cheek. "It truly is..." She swallowed, with a warming smile covering her lips as she pondered about Nico's opinion.

"I suppose anything done with good intentions will usually have good outcomes... Cooking should be no different, it seems... Nor... Art and... Our dreams." It made her chest flutter to say it like that, a common ultimate desire, that both would now share and have as objective for their current lives.

"Having... You around for it will be the one true difference too..." She said.

"Psssh-" She shook her head, swelling her chest with confidence, as if it were so casual to have a .50 cal aimed at her. Maybe a bunch of calibers below that and she could say 'yes'. "Don't be so hard on yourself, it all happened so sudden she might have been caught by surprise... Sure, she got kinda aggressive out of nowhere, but go figure what kind of life she had before to react like this." She disregarded it, but Nico could guess the maid had a good reason behind it, specially while being so obvious about her antics.

It did help to make Ronja get out of that train of thought to just focus on the food. Her stomach couldn't thank Ortensia enough, so the pinkette would do so via the best compliment a chef can get: leaving no leftovers.

Nico stopped on Ronja's answer, the peculiarities on how she made mention of intentions and outcomes, and, ultimately, to what they both believed in. It felt strange, electrifying even. It just now started to dawn on her that this dream was a lifetime objective. A block Fit for the missing space left in her chest.

"Yeah, outcomes change with intent. I'm just good at reading people's intentions." She paused, taking a bite out of the noodles on her fork. "And our dreams ain't dreams no longer. Now it's a goal, and the dream is to see how it looks like once it's done." She smiled. "I was thinking that the first step should be to settle somewhere. Finweald's a mess so take that out of the question, but... How about Solvale? Nice views, long roads and many towns in between. Pretty open and accessible too." And with enough resources for them to work with, it looked like the perfect alternative to the crowded cities.

Specially with the war against the Magia being done for.

"Leave it to me to do the heavy work. We can get a nice workshop set up between the two of us if we play by our strengths: Which means, you gotta think for me, couse I'm as dull as rocks ingame."

Nico tried to excuse Lena and Ronja from the entirety of the fault, but Ronja couldn't help but shake her head in rejection. "I am responsible for... Lena and everything she does... And she did wrong... very wrong." Why did she even think aiming a gun at someone was a good idea was beyond Ronja's comprehension. "She... Did come from a harsh environment. But still..." She cleared her throat, not wishing to expose her maid any further.

Ronja's gaze then rose to look at Nico, with a faint smile crossing her lips. "Is that why you've chosen to be an elf?" An innocent curiosity brimmed in her eyes, but it didn't take long for the faint smile to widen, and the curiosity to be overtaken by a wonderful joy. "Y-Yes, it is our goal!" Being stuck in her weak body, she was way too used to refer everything as a dream, but thankfully Nico was there to correct her.

"Solvale... would be wonderful. We will be able to have some peace to ourselves too, whenever we are done with our things." She nodded, liking the idea.

"A workshop too..." Ronja fidgeted the fork on her food, not being able to contain a smile before she forked it.

It was heartwarming to see that much worry and conviction out of Ronja. To accept herself as responsible for Lena despite by no means being able to stop her. "Lena is her own person, Ronja. Yeah, she did terrible," She let that word hang a little as she feasted on her meal. "But we all do wrong at some point. Sometimes we do things out of fear," Nico's brows dropped lightly. "-And sometimes we just do things because that's how we know how to do them. So, don't be that harsh on Lena, I sort of get her, but do smack some sense on her." She nodded. In spite of how relatable it felt to take the wrong course of action, she also knew someone had to put down the maid least she becomes a happy trigger and ends up regretting a decision.

Nico reeled back once Ronja curiously remarked about her character's race, her face turning into a mix of amusement and confusion. She chuckled a second later, with her smile growing in tandem as the brunette perked up in response to her correction, clearing her throat to go one answer at a time. "I Just chose elf because I didn't want to pick human. Truth is, I just made Fiora be my perfect self and picked elf because the rest of the races looked meh to me. Robot, furry or shortie."

Her words fell out of her mouth once she noticed the little smile growing up on Ronja at the idea of a workshop-- A home in Solvale. The mention of peace made her enjoy if only a little of it. "We could really use some peace and quiet. Hah, I Can't believe it, I started to play to go out and bash my brains against dangerous stuff, and now I'm doing the opposite, and it turns out it's more fun than I gave it credit for." She shook her head, being honest in her disbelief, but deep down happy about being wrong for once when it came to something negative.

"But now that you brought it up, what about you? Why did you pick Magia over anything else? Obvious magitech involvement aside."

Ronja peered at Nico, letting out a brief sigh and shaking her head with a small smile. "I won't be harsh to Lena, it isn't like I can be something like that... I will just... Smack some sense... Yeah." She giggled faintly, "Especially if it will help her to not shoot someone." A small joke, one that Ronja slipped and then focused back to Nico as she seemed to think about the question at hand.

The answer was unexpectedly simple, but maybe Ronja was overthinking about it, even as she decided to poke fun at some of the wording. "Do you have a problem with... robots and shorties, Nico?" She feigned a threatening expression, furrowing her eyebrows and pouting before smiling and shrugging.

"I don't see what you mean, though... Your perfect self looks very human to me." Ronja said, looking at Nico's eyes for a few seconds, letting it sink in before considering the question that was returned.

"Essentially... I wanted to have a body that I could try to change later on, if needed... If I ever got tired of it... And I figured as a 'robot', I could at least do something." She said, with her lips straightening for a moment. "The other important part is that... Well... I've never heard anything about a robot falling ill." Ronja said with a hint of sourness.

"... But I think I was proven wrong."
Ronja averted her eyes.

Nico grinned just as Ronja agreed on smacking Lena, be it figuratively or literally, and even found it in her to make a joke like she did so early, getting a giggle out of the pinkette. "Just tell her you won't stand for that and she will bend the knee." Nico added, knowing full well that phrase alone was the sum of all of Ronja's power, a mastery of her own making if she could think of it like that.

A power just as Icy as that false, ominous look she could pull off the moment she proclaimed an issue with small bots, getting her to choke on her drink for a moment, clearing her throat and waving at Ronja just to let her know she's fine. "O-of course not. I love a shortie, blue-haired, bossy magia. But it's one thing to love one and another to -be- one. Imagine if I kept using 'Fiora' to refer to myself while you did the same with your name. 'Fiora loves Ronja', and then you go 'Ronja loves Fiora too'. Would get confusing real quick." She chuckled, the idea just now floating on her mind of a small sized white haired ball of anger next to the incarnation of bubbly herself.

"I don't see what you mean, though... Your perfect self looks very human to me."
"I m-" Her lips stopped once her brain commanded her to shut up and take the compliment, a hand rising up to cover her mouth, and the intent stare Ronja had on her drilled the point even further. "Shit I don't know what to say..." Yet despite the broken eyecontact, Nico followed up with a few timid glances back at her girlfriend.

The cat just got her tongue with that, and the joyful smile hidden behind her hand proved it so.

"Well..." Nico picked up on how touchy the subject had gotten. How everything Ronja had for granted turned out not to be so granted, but the reasoning made her relax, surprisingly. The pinkette sighed off, pushing a few locks off her face as she finally put the fork down and was now the one staring intently back at her. "It's a magical fantasy world with magic, Ronja. And you are powered by magic there, not just mechanics. There's not a single race out there with no weaknesses. Even I have plenty. So, don't expect the rules of our world to apply there, or for there to not be extra rules." She explained, her lips falling to a flat line much like her brows did.

"But now we both learned. Next time it happens, we'll be ready." It sounded so uncharacteristic to hear that from her lips, when all she held behind her voice was contempt towards the antagonist of this tale, her grasp upon the tablecloth tightened enough to unsmoothen it.

If it wasn't for Ronja's words back then, she would have kept holding onto that hatred right now-- But she didn't liked to see the ugly in her, so inside it stays, like pandora's box.

"Who are you calling a shortie?" Ronja scowled again, deeper and focusing a furious gaze at Nico before all of it went away with a hearty laugher after pretending a Napoleon Complex. "Well, Ronja does love her muscular... tough... and relentless tall elf... That speaks in first person..." It felt weird to speak like that voluntarily.

Nico's words were cut short when Ronja had slipped a compliment, though the reaction was mildly different from the usual, making the girl wonder for a moment before pushing it into the back of her mind. "There is no need to say... Anything, Nico. It is just how I feel." She said, pausing for a moment and pondering about her lover's following words, tapping her fork on the last few pices of her stroganoff.

"You are right... I was naive to assume a race like that would... Just be immune to everything." Especially when they had 'bio' in the name of their components, that were almost no different from organs.

"Yes... Next time we will be ready. I won't allow you to go through all of that again." She said, firmly before taking the last bite of her meal and letting out a pleased sigh.

"This was really nice..." Ronja said, a bit more cheerful.

"N-not you of course!" She bit her lower lip, flickering her gaze from Ronja to her plate back and forth, cutting the act all-together once she started to laugh to join her. At least she laughed until Ronja made one of these comments that make people self-aware, like being told to manually breath oxygen. "H-huh, it sounds weird when you put it that way too, yeah. Speaking in first person... Oh, and you forgot reckless on all that." She lolled her tongue out and winked.

The reaction out of Ronja felt unexpected however, as unexpected as her own answer was. Nico blinked twice at this sudden pause, and something screamed 'wrong' in her mind then. "Nono I don't mean it in a bad way!" She hurried to correct herself but wording turned out to be harder now than she expected. "Just... It was really cute and left me speechless." So Nico simplified it to the best of her ability, her hand sliding hair locks away from her face.

"We both went through too much. It's fine, we just need to start building a nice cozy place to live in and we'll forget about it all. Work and a goal does wonders to the mood." She replied, taking the cheerful approach for them this time around.

Crossing her utensils over her empty plate, Nico laid back against her chair like it were a couch, stretching her arms above her head and yawning her way to a nod. "Yyyup. And you know what comes after a nice meal?" She grinned to herself.

Of course...

"A loong nap... Unless you can't nap, in which case I got an idea to solve that." She snapped her fingers, pushing herself back up before pushing the chair closer to the table once again, picking up her plate and heading right next to Ronja with an open hand to help her pick up hers. "I'll take this to the kitchen first, though."

Ronja shook her head. "I didn't, I just don't like seeing you putting yourself in danger." She retorted, truthfully to contrast the jest Nico was doing.

At Nico's quick corrections, Ronja couldn't help but giggle, waving her hand in a gentle way to mention it was fine. "I already said... It is okay. It is cute to see how speechless you can get sometimes." Ronja said with a small, teasing smirk before sighing and looking away in a dreamy fashion.

"I think it will be perfect. A place to both work on our goal and to relax. And all to ourselves." Ronja closed her eyes for a moment, trying to imagine herself in if again, before opening her eyes to look at Nico.

"A nap would do wonders." She said with a giggle, feeling slightly tired after so much excitement. It was a good kind of tired though, instead of the type of tired that got her thinking about how she had been tired for doing absolutely nothing the whole day.

Her eyes followed as Nico approached and took the plate to bring it to the kitchen, showing her a smile before returning her attention to the table, idly waiting for her girlfriend to return.

Nico sighed off as her joke was taken with a truth instead. Understanding, if only to a certain degree. "We will always be in danger so long as we play that game, we just have to make the right decisions and not make it any more dangerous, y'know?" That was the best compromise she could find between them.

But then the brunette had to go ahead and reveal her play as no more than a tease. Nico huffed, smirking like a teacher who was just outclassed by her student. "Look whose talking about being cute..." Okay, a weak comeback, but she couldn't do more than that, not when Ronja looked quite ready to boot the game up and immerse herself back into the game.

It made her overthink it for a little, but with her brain exhausted not many thoughts came through in the first place.

"We'll also have enough space to blow things up." She giggled. Nowhere near a forest of course. "I'll run some ideas to you later while we paint." Nico added, before waltzing out to the kitchen to leave the empty plates, greeted by Ortensia with a totally innocent smile from someone who wasn't eavesdropping on them both minutes ago.

And in her return, the first thing she did was pull back Ronja's seat by a little, giving her some distance from the table, bending over to get a better grasp at her lover. By now, the bridal carry would lose it's original meaning with how Nico made use of it.

"Next stop: your room, my lady." She added with a melodramatic voice fit to call a mix between a high-class driver and a musketeer. "And... Do I have to use the guest room this time, too?" Insecurities surfacing, if only because she wanted to confirm what Ronja wanted to a hundred percent.
