In all honesty, in the run up to and then process of sitting her exams and working on coursework, May had really forgotten about the game known as Terrasphere. It was actually incredibly easy to do so, when such an important period had come up and she'd needed to buckle down hard. She wasn't a top grade student, far from it. Even though she didn't really waste a lot of time in classes socializing or anything of the sort, she still didn't really do much with her spare time when she wasn't cramming for exams.
But these ones had been important. Together they added up to about 50% of her final grade, which was an amount she just couldn't ignore, no matter how much she wanted to. Granted, she wasn't sure why she would ever want to, considering how important it was and how much she wanted to get a good grade. Though she wasn't a top grade student, she was still pretty high up.
Granted, she had no clue how much Ellie had focused on her own exam period. She knew for a fact that Ellie had enjoyed Terrasphere more than she did, which wasn't to say that she hadn't enjoyed Terrasphere, but Ellie had really come into her own in that game. The world was nice, vibrant and alive, but to May it had really just seemed like any other world. Even if her strange, small Faerin body in game was immensely cute and somehow felt stronger than her larger, human body in the real world.
Though, thinking about Ellie, she hadn't really heard from her...friend? It was hard to say what they were. They did things that friends didn't do, in positive and negative ways, but Ellie was really the only person she could say she actually knew. Had known for years. But whatever they were, they'd been pretty busy, so they hadn't really heard from each other. May looked at her phone, the four contacts in her contact list. Her parents, Ellie and the local pizza place, in that order.
She was just about to try sending Ellie a message, when a knock at her dormitory door startled her...
