Kaede had to gather more herbs and supplies, the rise in new players had taken several tolls on her and other clinics near the starting area. Not only did they have players buying them, but some thought nothing more then stealing it after closing hours leaving a lot of places hurting and waiting on shipments from the big cities that would not be here for another few weeks so Kaede was trying to help float the other clinics by getting the basics for those who could craft from that, and getting enough that she could make some for those who just sold it for lively hood.

Either way as the dark elf made her way around the forest Totetsu was close behind acting as her supply carrier. The large bear sized hound had several baskets tied onto them, each with a different herb type or medical use that Kaede had come to gather today from the large area she normally got her own from. Each time she picked a herb, flower, or something she would only take what was needed or at most half from that area before using her magic to restore it for others to take from it also. Then it became a game of calling the hound over and keeping her still long enough to place the supplies where they needed to go.

Then the moment she stopped patting the hound's head it would once more rush off to go play nearby while Kaede moved around the slightly large clearing to the next cluster of supplies to gather some of them. In rare cases when not fully matured she would use magic to deal with such. Chronomancy was ideal for things that normally took entire seasons but for the growing better at using it magician, only a few minutes. Humming some as she kept working unless someone or something broke her focus.

At this point, Ronja already had plenty of control of her new body. Walking was still funny, making a shorter character sure made a difference for it, at least compared to the other games. The movement in the game also felt much more real than the others, it was a perfect simulation and it never really bugged, something impressive. Ronja could only wonder how impressive the coding of Terrasphere could be to allow such a thing to happen. Truly a feat of technology.

The only thing that she disliked in the game was the fact the race she decided to choose didn't allow her to taste anything.

Really, she wished to know how nice that weird purple fruit tasted!

It seemed she would only really manage something out if she upgraded herself, something she kept in her mind for the future. She didn't want to miss out on anything in the game just because of it.

These thoughts troubled her mind for a moment, enough for her to nearly bump into someone, struggling for a second and keeping her balance as she halted herself from ruining someone's work. "Oh, sorry!" She blurted out.

Kaede was not expecting to see a Magia this far from the airship, though recalling some players of the new wave could also make them allowed less of a hostile reaction as Kaede smiled some. Looking the girl over as she rose back to her feet and had to look a little down to make eye contact before she chuckled to herself. had she been younger and not wiser she would have wasted no time trying to see if the Magia could get flustered from teasing.

That said though Kaede would place the things she had in her smaller separated basket to free her hands while wiping them off on her dress before reaching out for a handshake as she spoke up.

"No worries little darling.~ I've no issue with girls pinning me down or running into me.~ Though I prefer to do those thing myself to them most times.~"

Kaede mused to herself as she adjusted her posture and allowed her mind to wonder off some. She had not met many of the Magia that did not attack on first sight or ignore her thinking she was nothing more then a 'NPC' since she did not have a name over her head as the players with UI would. Maybe she could play with this one a bit to get some of her questions answered, though mostly she was simply happy to have an excuse not to keep working as hard as she had been and give herself time to recover some magic.

"So what brings a lovely mature flower like you into a field of medical flowers and such things? I doubt they are needed with the race you seem to have picked out... Then again I only really know of the Magia as hostile creations that guard a crashed Airship."

Kaede hummed as she walked to the middle of the clearing where she had times before set up camp grounds and now could double as a place to talk if the girl was so inclined to do such. Kaede seemed no real different from a NPC, aside from her words likely giving her partly away but without her UI she would not show up on others as she took a seat and waved to the other stones or if the girl wanted the spot on the larger stone beside her.

Ronja blinked surprised at first, listening to the affectionate way the other woman spoke and having her cheeks growing vaguely rosy at the mention of pinning her down. "What? No no, Ronja don't have plans to pin you down-" She said, unsure of what the other woman was talking about. Thankfully, at least the other one seemed to be friendly, which was something desirable considering how things were going to be very soon.

The woman continued to sweet-talk her, something that was unexpected and warmed the cheeks of the Magia that felt sheepish about it. "Ronja is... Just exploring, yeah." She said, rubbing her neck. "You are harvesting flowers yourself?" Ronja decided to ask, following the woman along and glancing at the stone the woman offered for a seat.

Without much hesitation, Ronja hopped to sit on it, casting a glace and frowning at the reveal. "Hostile creations that guard a crashed Airship? Where is that?" She asked surprised.

Either Ronja was bold, or very dense, either way Kaede could only hum as she tried to pull the girl closer so she could rest her head on Kaede's frame if she felt the need or did not struggle against it. Her own hand combing the girl's hair before taking flowers from her basket to place in it while humming. She was not subtle when she was flirting, though it was more rare when it did happen she made it very clear.

"The crashed airship, back where the old player capital stood, but I don't advise a newer player to go there. I went there a few times but even myself and others who been her the last eight years barely made it out alive and some not even that."

Moving to admire her flower work some as she went back to trying to make the girl flustered by fawning over her more like she already was. She wanted to see if she had interest before she pushed it further, not wanting to be overly rude or swing for a homerun without anyone on the bases to get back safe also if it made sense. Humming as she swayed and moved some flowers so the girl could see them when she recalled the first question.

"They are more medical supplies... These flowers here cure commonplace fever, where as this one when grinded and mixed with a certain moss of this region can produce something akin to a hot-cold patch, OR if mixed into sugar and boiled cough medicine..."

Kaede full nerd mode for a bit as she kept pulling different things from her basket. She was a medical student before her death and this place was both magic, normal things, and mutated offshoots of them leaving a curious mind like herself countless ways to keep up her study and help people when they allowed her. That said though she would notice her nerdy side showing and blush before going quiet about it all. People did not like her for her brain most times, better to just play to what they liked and maybe show it later.

"Huh?" Ronja didn't really resist being pulled, though a frown crossed her face when it happened. She felt the other woman's fingers brushing her hair, blinking in confusion until she noticed the woman picking some flowers, feeling them being attached to her hair. She listened attentively to the explanation, nodding quietly at the advice.

"Player Capital... You mean from four years ago?" Ronja asked, glancing up. "Ronja has heard the rumors, and of course has watched the news about this game." At the time the game was hyping across everywhere, Ronja was in such a bad condition, that she couldn't even engage in such a thing. It was only three years ago that she started getting into the VR treatment programs.

Her eyes peered up at the woman, mostly confused at why she was acting the way she was. Maybe she was just overly tactile, not that Ronja minded it, as embarrassing as it could be.

"So you are an apothecary?" Ronja asked, glancing at the flowers and then gently tracing the tip of her fingers on the flowers that were now on her hair. "This is pretty, thank you for that-" She chirped. "What is your name? Ronja is Ronja Bubblyfoot."

"Kaede Hoshi, And more of a half doctor, This game setting prevents most normal modern day medical practice so I work with what I have and can use."

If the girl was truly someone who watched the news abut the game in the past namely when players reportedly died while playing Kaede Hoshi was among them but she simply would smile if the girl looked confused. Her name made Kaede chuckle though as she tried to say it in her mind a few times before the elf would poke the girl's cheek some with a smile on her face.

"Must say though, you really made a cute avatar.~ If I was five years younger I'd have tried to convince you to spend the night with me.~"

She mused the words as partly a joke, but it was also clearly not as Kaede hummed and kept mess With the Magia's hair to keep her hands from going elsewhere, mostly though she kept combing the girl's hair over her ear or making temporary braids in it only to take them out a moment later. Her mind drifting back to the old topic as she looked over in the general direction of the old player capital. her mind recalling the fighting that had happen and the day the airship fell.

She could still hear the panic when it was coming down, the number of bodies they managed to get back from the area, and the injured. Her face looked akin to someone who had seen war and was reliving it and it truth she was. She was one of the people tasked to try and get people out from the chaos during the time. Acting as her group's medic and support alongside Harmony, Neko, and Gale that was the day she lost Neko and it still rang in her mind.

At the mention of the name, Ronja paused for a moment, holding her breath and widening her eyes when the realization came to her mind. Among many of the dead, 'Kaede Hoshi' was a name that had appeared in some articles she have read and news she watched. "Wait, you are-" She paused, unsure of how to word it. "Y-You are one of the victims, aren't you? Ronja remembers, your name, it was-" Ronja pursed her lips at the chuckle from the woman, and then squinting an eye when her cheek was poked.

Anything regarding the familiarity of the name simply disappeared when Kaede spoke, making Ronja's face go red as she leaned away.

"Y-Yo-You what?! S-Spend night?!" Ronja staggered, moving away despite her hair being held.

While she was moving, Ronja's butt slipped from the rock and squeaked while falling to the ground.

"Same as the name of my in game character. Kaede Hoshi. adoptive Father is a active military man, mother unknown and my dad never married so. As for spending the night yes, or would you prefer the more adult response?~"

Kaede mused the second part of her replies, though the first had a more serious tone to it. She had no issue repeating the information she was told by other players that saw her death report on TV, and she also had no issue going into detail about what she was thinking about with the Magia in mind at the moment. Watching the girl fall off the rock though was not entire expected as Kaede switched to concern.

"Are you ok Ronja? Should I dial myself back some? I tend to be a bit over zealous when it comes to flirting unless told otherwise..."

Kaede spoke with the concern in her voice, she was still trying to find the right level of flirting that was acceptable to random strangers while also concerned the Magia got hurt. Moving to offer her a hand to help her back up if she wanted to take it, or coiling it back if declined. Either way Kaede would try to lighten the mood some by calling Totetsu back and removing the baskets so the hound could shrink to puppy size and jump onto the rock between them.

It was not much it it would make it harder for Kaede to mess with Ronja since Totetsu would try to hog the elf's attention or vise versa. Humming as she decided to get out a grinding bowl and some bottles from her bag to least stay productive and started crushing down some herbs while that chatted. The lunatic hound barking some at Ronja before looking at her hand and trying to nuzzle under it for pets since Kaede was busy with other things.

"A-A more what?!" Ronja looked up at Kaede, blinking once, twice, thrice at her words. A more adult response? There was something even more adult than that? Ronja wasn't innocent, that was for sure, but she wasn't expecting something out of anywhere from a stranger she had just met. Was that what could happen if you got stuck in that game for four years-

Wait, that woman was stuck in this game ALL these years.

"I-It is okay, Ronja just wasn't expecting this sort of thing." She admitted, clearing her throat and accepting the helping hand, getting herself back to her feet, as hard as it was. Ronja needed to practice standing up from the ground more times until she got used to it.

Ronja glanced at the hound, opening her hands and raising them as a gesture that she had no intentions of doing anything, then turned to look at Kaede, with a softer and more concerned expression.

"Are you... Did you really get stuck?" Ronja asked, pursing her lips and getting back to the rock after slapping the dirt out of her pants.

"... Ronja is sorry for your loss." She said, rubbing her neck while looking at Kaede.

She wasn't quite sure how to show her condolences to someone that had died.

Kaede could only hum happily seeing the reaction from the woman, was she that unclear with her words? She considered going into detail but would simply let the woman ask before such would happen. That said and done though came the common question and a odd response to the situation that had Kaede at a lose for words for a bit before she would speak up while watching Totetsu look sad and go back to playing in the area without the added weight of the gathered supplies to slow her down.

"Yep, been stuck in here for five years now, only of the first few to die I think, and no reason to feel sorry. It was not your fault and you did not have to worry about that."

Kaede hummed as she kept grinding the ingredients though now seemed to have a bit of anger in the motion to try and calm down. She disliked people thinking she was needed apologizes when she was the one who needed to be giving them to countless people. Adding the new powder into the jar as she got more to grind down before speaking again with a small laugh.

"So, you seem to have a few issues that I can tell.~ The first I think is one of the downsides to the race you picked, but the other tells me moving around as much is not normal for you. You don't stagger or fall so you don't live in a wheelchair before playing this game... Maybe medical issues, weak bones or something."

Kaede seemed to know a bit more, she was just reading the different between herself and how the girl approached movement and such. She was a medical nerd so her brain was going over a number of diseases or illnesses that could cause such changes or difficulty with walking and the sort. She had not seen Ronja have issue with other things but was not going to toy with the girl as she was another living being and she stopped doing that some years ago. That said though she was curious about it as she leaned towards Ronja getting within personal space again to have her own little bit of fun unless told to stop teasing.

"Ronja means she is offering her condolences, uhm- though it has been so long. How does it even feel to stay in here for so long?" She asked, wondering how Kaede felt about it, but not realizing the question may have been a bit too invasive. There was a lot she wanted to know about the UI Locked aspect, for a lot of reasons, and some of them were rather grim. But first and foremost, it was to understand a bit more of the game's nature, and of course of its coding, something that was a mystery for Ronja, even if she was skilled at programming.

"Issues?" Ronja asked, pausing confused at the way the woman worded it. For a moment she wondered what she was talking about, but soon a response came and made everything much clearer.

"Ronja..." She muttered, and as the woman leaned in again, her cheeks grew faintly rosy, though the way the topic shifted made her not be as embarrassed as before, but rather more pensive about it.

"Ronja... Actually needs to use a wheelchair. It has been years since Ronja have walked without it. She can try, yes, but it takes too much effort and Ronja ends up feeling bad. It just isn't worth anymore." Ronja admitted, knowing she couldn't hide her condition for too long, considering that the other could notice something was wrong with her just by the way she played a game. Medics are scary.

Kaede would smile and nod as she got the replies from Ronja, choosing to hold off on replying to how living in this world was for the moment as she was more focused on learning about the other girl. She wanted to keep teasing Ronja but would move back and decided to think how to properly respond to the question. There was upsides and downsides and she wanted to convey it as well as she could since she could only imagine the girl used the game as a escape and might consider locking herself in one day.

"To be honest there is ups and downs to the whole thing. It's not much different from real life in the common sense of needs, sleep, and such. You have to learn to go without some of the luxuries of our world like internet, hot baths or showers, that sort of thing. But you also get the perks of magic if you picked it and such things."

Kaede would pause for a moment to catch her breath before getting to the more serious things. If Ronja or whatever her real name was considering this as a new home to escape the restricting life she was dealt there was more to cover.

"If you don't say your farewells before it happens... getting locked in... then it eats you alive over time. There is also the fact you can't leave if things get rough here or escape to other things. It becomes your reality after a while and just have to ride the waves like real life sometimes.~"

Kaede chimed trying to sound cheerful after the rather depression middle section of the response. She had a lot of things left unsaid to family and her friends, she had things she wanted to do before her death that now seemed like a pipe dream. Sure her picked race lived longer then she would have but the technology difference was simply to far for her to one day achieve a medical miracle or develop a cure to be named after her to be remembered for.

Ronja listened attentively to what Kaede had to tell. Surely that place didn't have all the luxury of the real world, but honestly a lot of the luxuries of the real world weren't exactly reachable for Ronja. In this world, she had the luxury of having an actual health, legs that actually worked, and she wasn't lethargic most of the time. This was something she quickly realized thanks to the other games, but this one was particularly realistic.

The biggest downside, however, was that one didn't know when a virtual world would end. Someone just needed to pull the plug and...

Everything would be gone.

"Ronja is aware of that part. She can only imagine how annoying not having some of those can be." She said, looking at Kaede and tilting her head when the topic became even more serious.

The mention of family and friends made Ronja purse her lips. She didn't have friends, after all, she was stuck in her house most of the time. But family? She had it and she loved them. She only was alive and having anything remote to a 'good life' thanks to them and their love for her.

This, however, caught her attention.

"... You couldn't say goodbye, right?" Ronja asked, looking at Kaede with a sorrowful expression, gently resting a hand above hers. "Do you want Ronja to do something about it?" An anonymous e-mail with a letter was completely possible. A goodbye that she didn't have the opportunity to do, Ronja could do it for certain.

"I think it is a little long past due to message my old man or friends saying goodbye... I don't wish to reopen a closed wound like that... I chose to think they knew I cared about them..."

Kaede's tone was filled with a light sombrous tone as she looked to the sky above thinking of her father mostly. he likely would blame himself or had this entire time for her untimely death, her friends likely would skip over the matter as she had fought them a lot near the end of her time alive. Even if she could have sent a farewell closer to her time of death she had no idea what to say other then sorry she died. Words never been her strong suit as she returned focus to the girl.

"Enough gloomy stuff, Lets talk about something more interesting like date life or stuff like that.~"

Kaede would puff her cheeks up trying to get off the sour topic. She did not like talking about doom and gloom when she was trying to not be such a downer of a person. She had a promise to keep and it took time to go from her old self into a cheerful on the surface person and that slowed down if she kept having to face the bad things. Moving to stand up as she would spin around in the middle of the area before falling into the grass.

"I myself prefer just about any date type with woman, and almost any woman willing to put up with me being... multi loving ha ha.~ I also like sweets, though I can't stomach them much anymore without something sour before and after."

Kaede would begin to ramble off facts about herself that did not make her sad, trying to change the topic or make Ronja nervous or want to talk about something they both could speak about normally. She could think of a few things but she was having to much fun trying to tease the girl and see where she landed on the relationship status. Looking up towards the girl to see if she was nervous again.

Ronja looked at Kaede's face and heard the tone of her voice with a sadness growing in her chest. For a moment, she felt guilty for even considering the idea of getting stuck in this game being a good choice. What would her family think of it? Would they be happy that she would be in a game, where they wouldn't even know if it was really herself that was in there? On top of that, she kept opening wounds in the woman next to her for no reason other than selfish curiosity and desire.

Suddenly, the woman shifted the topic in the most abrupt way possible. And as much as Ronja's brain told her to ask further, Ronja's heart told her to ignore it.

And so she did.

"You really like dating, don't you-" Ronja crossed her arms, looking at Kaede and shaking her head. As far as she noticed, Kaede was talking about trying to get her to bed or something 80% of the time they were talking, with the other 20% being the gloomy mess Ronja caused.

She really couldn't know who was handling this conversation the worse.

"Multi-loving- You mean you are one of those people that don't believe in monogamy?" Ronja asked, pondering about it. "And girls too... Are you a lesbian or you are a guy in real life and-" She halted her words, noticing how offensive that question was before correcting herself with a cough. "W-Well. Ronja is a sweet tooth herself. She just doesn't like eating meat, meat tastes horrible." She said, hopping on her feet and turning to Kaede.

"Why don't we go eat something sweet then?" She asked, glancing at the flowers. "If you are done with those, that is."

"Well dating is the highlight of my life at the moment. And No, I'm more bisexual. Sometimes there are guys I like, but not as often as woman such as yourself.~ As for the offered date I'd be more then happy to accompany you, my work can wait.~"

Pushing herself off the ground as she rose and waved for the woman to follow or if she did not seem inclined for such Kaede would move to lock an arm with Ronja's pulling the girl close before heading off. Whistling to get Totetsu to follow and not exactly worrying or caring for her baskets of supplies. Worst case she started over, but a date with a woman was not as easy to come by so it took priority as Kaede hummed happily.

"So, do you have any places you would like to go eat at? Since you offered to take me out on this sweets run, though I'm going to see it as a date until I'm told otherwise.~ Part of me wishes I was in better cloths not my adventure gear for it though... Also..."

Kaede would move to get real personal again with a silly smile on her face. She was curious about Ronja in several ways, and most of them had been eating at her for a little bit.

"I'm over here talking all about myself and then you only reply to half of it with your own, so unfair of you to play with my wittle heart like that Ronja-chan~"

Kaede chuckled as she resumed walking not expecting the truth or the girl to speak up like Kaede had been. She knew some people did not go around saying things about themselves, she also knew some people did not even know where they sat sometimes. What did matter on the other hand to Kaede was if the girl was ok walking the minimal distance she knew to get to a town. If she saw her stagger or worse fall Kaede would waste no effort to try and princess carry her, or offer she ride on Totetsu till the destination was reached.

"O-Oh, okay. Ronja will remember that." Ronja nodded with flushing cheeks, and partially cursing herself internally. Compliments were usually easy for Ronja to handle, she appreciated them but could manage to not be awkward about it. Flirting, specially a relentless one like that, was a bit out of her league though.

"It isn't really a date, but Ronja doesn't mind if you want to see it as one." She said, figuring it would make the woman happy at least, then hooking her arm around Kaede's, something she was already used when she tried to dare walking in real life. She tilted her head vaguely and nodded at herself. "There is a nice cafe Ronja knows. Ronja thinks it is player ran. It sells a Honey Moon Pie, it is really tasty." She said with a small smile.

When Kaede mentioned Ronja only spoke half of herself, she averted her eyes for a moment, thinking about it and then nodding.

"Ronja apologizes. She isn't really used to talk about herself." She said.

"What you wish to know?"

"Anything you wish to talk about. It was sort of like a game we played bac in medical school between classes. One person says something about themselves and the others try to confirm if it is true or not. The other more popular version of the game was detail about oneself for a detail about the other person though.~"

Kaede mused, she did not want to push the girl to say anything but least wanted to make it a bit know she liked the tid-bit for tid-bit style of a conversation. Humming as they walked she tried to recall what exactly a moon pie was, the only idea was a cookie with marshmallow so she assumed this one just also had honey mixed into the batter maybe? Her mind catching up to the fact Ronja said it was not a date and seemed to dent her mood a little.

"Do I not fit your type? Is it because I'm to open about it? I swear I can be more discreet about it if needed... Who am I kidding it is probably because I don't tie the not with any one girl... The reason for that is simple because I've always been told by my dad not to bind myself down to only loving one person because I had to much love for any one person to take... Corny as he was those words built me up."

Kaede looked back upward to the sky recalling the countless times she tried to only love one person in the past and got hurt by rejection and breakups because she was to clingy or 'to much to handle' as they worded it most times. When she started to date several people at a time she got less flame, and some tried to say they could be her one and only but never kept that promise to her so she stopped trying to look for a soul mate and just wanted company.

"Or maybe it is because little Ronja already has someone?~ Oh you have to gossip about it with me sometime I love hearing romance stories about other couples.~"

Kaede's mood rebounded back to normal, she was happy she could be a slight annoying pervert and not need drinking to make her feel it was ok anymore. Sure she had times people told her to be more mature and considerate to the time and place but she never listened. Another lesson from her father. 'If they don't have your respect, don't listen to them or do as THEY think is right for you.' Think over the lessons of her father he was trying to raise a villain as far as manga or anime would consider. The idea made her laugh out loud.

"Anything Ronja wants to tell about herself..." Ronja considered for a moment, wondering about it while following the steps. Usually Ronja didn't talk much about herself. There wasn't much she could tell either, considering she is completely stuck in her bedroom, sitting on her bed waiting for every second of the day to paas when she wasn't playing a VRMMO.

Ronja then peeked at Kaede, feeling vaguely guilt at her words, and then flushing her cheeks. "S-Someone Ronja has? Ronja... Ronja doesn't have anyone like that. This isn't something someone like her usually does." She cleared her throat, taking a breath and glancing at Kaede again.

"It isn't about types or anything. Ronja doesn't... have a type, Ronja thinks?" She said, thinking about it, averting her eyes before focusing on Kaede's again.

"Ronja just met you too. You are quite quick at doing these things, aren't you? Ronja isn't like that. Ronja never did any of that, actually... she... Isn't experienced at all." Ronja admitted, nearing the cafe that she had spoke about.

"The only experience Ronja had was when she still could walk. And it was just a quick thing with a boy at school. It didn't last long, Ronja couldn't really keep up with him, being so... slow and everything. Getting tired and sick all the time." She sighed.
