She didn’t miss the wry smile on his lips, even if the man did his very best to roll his eyes as he laid down beside the blonde. Valeria turned onto her own side so she could face him, her tongue sticking out playfully for the briefest of moments in response to his comment, before the girl scooted closer to snuggle her face into his chest.

"We can go to sleep in a moment… it’s not like I get a lot of chances to cuddle with you."

Her words were slightly muffled in her new position, an arm wrapping around his midriff as the blonde pressed closer. His scent was nice and comforting, it helped soothe to an extent the erratic heartbeats inside her chest, and for a moment the girl wished they could’ve stayed like this for an eternity and a day.

The man was more than content to let the girl press herself into his body, her face pressing into his chest as her arm wrapped around to his back. The man's arm wrapped around her back in return, his hand reaching up to gently massage the back of the girl's neck. He could feel the long strands of her hair tickle his arm as he calmly breathed in the scent of her shampoo.

"This is nice," the man admitted, turning onto his back slightly, pulling Valeria with him so that she was atop him. "I wouldn't mind if we did this again," he said, eyes still closed and sporting a soft grin.

He could feel her heart beat against his chest, a rapid rhythm that gradually slowed into a calmer pace. With the hand still gently massaging her neck, he could feel her back rise and fall with every breath. Her lithe form atop of his was nothing short of comfortable.

His arm wrapped around her back as she drew in closer to the man, softly massaging the back of her neck and eliciting a content sigh in return. Here, lying beside Ari, was the most blissful moment the girl had felt in a long time—and again she wished it would never come to an end.

"Mhmm it’s very nice," She echoed his words before the man turned onto his back, pulling the blonde along with him as a few quiet chuckles escaped Valeria in response. "I wouldn't mind if we did this again."

She nodded softly in agreement, her head lifting up just enough so she could gaze at his face and the soft grin on his lips, one Valeria had been quickly becoming accustomed to seeing on the man. Here, pressed against his chest, her palms could feel the beating of his own heart. It was rhythmical, slow and steady, quite the opposite of her own if the blonde was honest—even if her own heartbeats had managed to calm down to an extent.

"I wouldn’t mind doing this every night."

A hand reached up to brush some of the dark strands along the side of his face, a soft smile that mirrored his own slowly pulling the lips of the girl, before she leaned in closer to press a few sweet kisses along the jawline of the man.

Those few words made Ari's breath catch in his throat, the gentle rise and fall of his chest pausing for a moment, an unexpected flood emotion rushing over the man. Hope, want, and level of sadness that made his chest ache, knowing that that simple wish, a wish he shared could not be. Even still, he wanted to tell her. Express that secret desire.

He opened his mouth to speak, but the sensation of her lips trailing along his jaw made him pause and chuckle. "Careful," he cautioned as his fingers began to trace the fain line of her spine, his touch so light that it went almost unfelt through her top, right down to the small of her back, only to trail upwards once more between her shoulder blades. His lips pressed into the top of her head, a gentle kiss as he committed her to his memory once more.

There was a sudden pause to the gentle rise and fall of his chest as the man breathed, causing the blonde to tilt her head just slightly in one direction. For a moment it looked as if he’d been about to say something, before the trailing kisses along his jaw earned her a chuckle along with a small warning.

"Mmm, why? I’m not doing anything~"

A slight rise to her intonation as the girl spoke, feigning both ignorance and innocence in the same breath. His hand lightly trailed down her spine, resting for just a moment on the small of her back, before it was softly returned to rest in between her shoulders once more. His head tilted just enough so he could press his lips against the top of her head, earning a contented murmur from the blonde in return.

Her head nuzzled against his neck in return, taking a moment to enjoy his scent as the girl committed this moment to her memory.

"Mmm, why? I'm not doing anything~" Ari couldn't help but let out another wry chuckle as the woman's feigned innocence became all the more apparent to him.
"Because we might end up doing something we might regret," the man answered. It was a tired old line. Something out of a bad romance film from the early 2000s, but it couldn't have been more true.

Between their obvious feelings for each other, and the endless teasing they subjected each other to, it always felt like they were toeing the line, daring the other to cross it and make the one mistake that could only lead to pain. And yet they dare each other to press further, and happily.

But as Ari felt Valeria nuzzle herself into the crook of his neck, his hand following her motion to run through her hair, he could feel his restraint wane, wearing away into nothing more than a tiny sliver. The man let out a long exhale of contentment as his other hand went to the girl's waist, gently pulling her further into himself, as if it were even possible.

He was the voice of reason between them, his words rational and logical in their approach. They’d been tiptoeing the same tightrope since the first day they had met, teasing and daring to see who’d be the first to finally take the bait. She liked him, more than that really, that much had become clear—and Valeria was sure things would’ve been quite different had there not been over eight hundred miles waiting to interpose between them once the week was over.

She knew as much, understood how much this would all hurt once it came to an end, and yet she couldn’t help but want for more…

One hand softly combed through her blonde hair, the movement rhythmic and soothing, while another rested securely against her waist. Gently it tried to pull her even closer, erase any distance that might’ve still lingered between them, and the girl couldn’t help the way the corners of her lips curled into a smile in response.

Her light laughter filled the room as Ari had forced them to trade places. "Still like the view~?" she'd murmured before their noses had purposely brushed up against each other, the man unable to keep a subdued smile from his face. Lying together like this, it felt natural. Even if they would never push past daring caresses, Ari realized that he had never felt so comfortable with another in his lifetime.
