"Perfect cuddle weather though, hot cocoa and blankets, sit by a warm fire maybe?"
"U-Uun..."

His comment had caused Nao to blush slightly, the woman looking away before the chaotic duo had finally made their way over to the veranda. Ari had chosen to sit down besides Olivier then, letting them know of the many snacks he'd acquired along with the drinks and meal options for the evening, while Nico had plopped down besides Nao.

A bag of chips was wiggled then in a silent offering, one that the Japanese woman accepted as she took a few of the chips, before the pink haired girl had finished that bag and was moving onto the next one.

"I s-see... that sounds like quite the menu, indeed." There was a pained look that crossed Ari's face, eliciting a sympathetic smile from Nao in response. "If there's any leftovers we can just store them away for tomorrow."

Olivier would watch as Ari and Nic pincered them, a tactical ambush for the ages as they assaulted them with...pleasant news. They'd decided on western dishes, mostly Italian ones at that, but appeared to have gotten way much food and drink. "I mean, it just means we can cook one of those entrees tonight, and then pivot to, you know, another one of them another night?" His eyes would drift to Nico first.

Had she just, flirted with Ari? Threatened to smooch him? Bold words coming from her, and something to keep an eye out on. If he could get Yu shacked up with Nico, that would end the yelling right? "Wait, did you just say you sleep on the floor? Or used to?" He also noticed how despite all of the named dishes being Italian, she wasn't helping cook and was leaving poor Theo out to dry. Finally when she asked him a question. "Yeah, I was just telling Nao all about it. In November when we do the Northern Lights faire in Philly will mark my fourth year doing it. It's a pretty awesome."

The mention of booze was a bit of a dicey topic for Ollie, he'd not so recently learn that with the right provocation and enough booze he could turn into a real fucking tool. Not to mention that everyone was behaving and getting along, get them drunk and all bets with off. What were the words that Ari had used to describe his drunk? Horny and Honest?

And Nao was a bit of a lightweight who got super sleepy when she drank too much, though maybe if they both got a buzz on it would slice through some of the awkwardness? The last few times he'd gotten drunk with her had been without incident, but all it took was one accident to create a constant fear of a repeat offense. "Have you had a lot of western styled food Mi Cielo?" He would ask turning to Nao and raising an eyebrow. He would rather steer the conversation towards that rather than perhaps sparking any anxiety over antics.

"Sounds like we have a fun night prepared for us huh?" Part of him felt bad for pushing all of this onto Nao, he would probably need to talk to her about it all and make sure she was fine with them suddenly showing up and hijacking her home and freetime.

While Oli was confused over the fact that Nico seemed to have spent a lot of time sleeping on the floor, Ari on the other hand was confused about where the fuck this extra 'S' he'd forgotten was supposed to go. The man's brow furrowed together. He went over what he'd said in his head. It had been...grammatically correct as far as he could remember...was his short-term memory even more fucked than he'd thought? Had Nico's punch actually made his memory even worse? And what the hell was up with that devilish grin she was shooting him?

Anyways, Nao suggested that they put away any leftovers in the fridge, while Oli made the equally valid point of not making all the food today. Ari just shrugged. "I dunno, Theo's gonna do whatever. I trust him, plus, if I bugged him right now, he'd probably stab me with a kitchen knife." And here he didn't have his hemomancy to stitch the wound.

"Oh shit, you guys do shows in Philly?" Ari piped up, leaning forward slightly as soon as he heard his city's name. "I live in there! I'll have to come see you guys perform the next time you're in town!"

Olivier's reaction certainly caught her off-guard. Him from all the involved looked the most likely to go out on field trips to camp out in the wilds, and while laying on a carpet really didn't compare to the beauty and freedom of the woods, it was close enough of an experience to go of... Right?

"Long story. Not the prettiest though, but I can rescue a few nice memories out of it." She's certain he's the most perceptive at least, and much like herself, she didn't want to ruin the moment with a sour tale. "And hey, it's comfy, you all should try it if you got a carpet!" Deflecting it back with a chuckle to end it there, Nico paid attention, everything clicking half a second later, enough for Ari to beat her on the race to answer and-

And a knot formed on her throat. Philly is pretty big, right? No, it's not anymore, it's fucking small thanks to Ari. Now she hoped to get some memory loss too, perhaps hanging out too long with him would prove infectious?

"You BET i'm also going to see you. Because I ALSO live in Philly." She remarked, keywords that almost felt 'kindly' shoved towards the Eboy's statements... Kindly. Nico slapped a hand down on her lap, the right one crumpling the chipbag's top to keep it closed. "November, november... Huh." Could they maybe buy a ticket for Nao to tag along? While that felt like too much, it certainly would work as a change of pace.

Afterall, imagine surprising Ollie of all people with Nao's presence on America... Welp, that's for the future Nico to tinker and for future Ari's wallet to cry about!

Nico slept on the floor...?
Like, not a futon, just... the floor?

Hopefully that wasn't the case any longer.

The pinkett's flirtatious comment towards Ari went wholly unnoticed not only by the boy, but also Nao as well. As far as she could tell nothing that Yu-chan had said seemed grammatically incorrect... as such Nao was very confused as to where that extra 'S' was meant to fit in the sentence.

"Have you had a lot of western styled food Mi Cielo?"
"... eh?"

There was a pause as her eyes turned to look at Ollie for a long moment, her mouth opening as if she was about to say something, before closing back up again as Nao reconsidered the options. Mih... nani? Finally she sighed, while the actual meaning of the words wasn't known to the woman Nao could still put the pieces of the puzzle together. After all Ollie was using the same tone of voice he'd consistently used with all the previous pet names, so this was probably another one.

"Iie, not really... I've had some, but I can't say I've ever had frutti di mare. The closest we get here to Italian is with napolitan... ah, no offense of course Nico."

It was then that two of the group revealed to actually be from Philly, their voices excitedly claiming they would go see the next Northern Lights faire that November, and while Nao gave a smile she remained quiet regarding the topic on hand.

After all it wasn't like she could just drive over to Philadelphia in the first place.

"Oh shit, you're both from Philly? I went to Temple for my very brief college experience. I was born in Pittsburg though." His eyes would dart between the two Philadelphians suddenly putting two and two together. "Aww that'd be cute, you two could go to the faire as a date~" He would croon teasingly.

The idea would be nice, having more friends around to commiserate the cold with him was always nice, but at the same time...he would prefer if Nao were there. "Have you ever been to the states Hon? It'd be really cool if you came and saw one of my faires in person too! Philly is pretty far away, but San Diego." He would waggle a finger. "That's not a terribly far flight...only like...ten hours instead of...eighteenish?" He would watch as she struggled with his pet name, smirking ever so slightly. He'd not so much studied this, as he'd been born into a hodgepodge of cultures through friends and family to build a large repertoire to keep her constantly on her toes.

"I mean that's a huge trip to make, and it's pretty far away, but it'd be pretty cool."

The idea was enough to send his heart aflutter as he thought about it. Then the ideas of her meeting all of his troope mates sent the idea into a anxious mess. Oh christ what if she met one of his one nights stands from one of the other Troopes? Or worse, his ex. Or double worse, his family.

Philly was out of the question.

"And besides, Philly in the winter would probably be waaaaaaaay too cold."

"Well, now's your chance to try a few different dishes. To be honest, I haven't tried the 'fruity-whats-it' before, that was Nico's idea. As the token Italian, I'm sure she knows what's good and what isn't," Ari replied to Nao with a smile.

"Oh, shit, well I'm graduating from Drexel next spring," Ari said with enthusiasm in response to Oli. The world really was a small place after all. Of course, of all the people that he'd met so far in Terrasphere, it just had to be the one who wanted to smash his face in ninety percent of the time that lived in his city, but hey. What were the chances of them ever running into each other, huh? It wasn't like they lived within a 20 minute walk from each other!

"Aww that'd be cute, you two could go to the faire as a date~"

Cue the sound of shattering glass.

One glance at Nico and Ari knew she was having roughly the same thought as he was. "Not on your fucking life, Oli," he said. "You'd have to pay me to go on a date with her."

She was quick to disregard it all with a wave of her hand and a bright, pearly smile to match. "No worries sis, no offense taken. It ain't a surprise all you got is napolitan, it's one of those things that got waay beyond little Italy-" She shut her mouth once she processed what Ari said, but kept a smile to match and hide all the hatred and hold the murderous tendencies at bay... How did Theo manage to keep calm, considering he knew Ari longer than she does? Probably exorcising the weeb to keep it under control or something.

"Yeah you see what Ari just said? Never do that ever. Only a moron who goes to Drexel would do that." Friendly advice with a friendly tone that hid the flames of the pinkorilla's wrath. Granted, compared to Ari, she didn't go to college... But no one would know that to use it as a comeback.

"Aww that'd be cute, you two could go to the faire as a date~"

Cue the Windows 7 Blue Screen of Death.

Apparently in this case both of them agreed with a silent look that Olivier just stepped on burning coals with his barefeet. And while she knew exactly what to say, Ari had to come off as the biggest asshole around here, and an indignant stare went back to the fuckboy... He talked about pay as if he wasn't the one who should be dropping the paper just to be next to her!

"I mean... He clearly ain't interested, but if you pay him to come, I'll pay our tickets." Change of tactics, her demeanour flipped out of a sudden, like she put on a mask with a different expression on her that came with a cheeky smile. "A date ain't half bad yeah, as friends only~" She said, voice practically lulling out.

"Aww that'd be cute, you two could go to the faire as a date~"

The moment those words left Ollie's mouth Nao could've sworn she felt the temperature of the pinkett besides her drop at least ten degrees. It caused Nao to stiffen in response, the faintest of shivers running down her spine, before she awkwardly nodded in Ollie's direction as the man continued to speak like he hadn't just dropped a verbal nuke into the porch.

"I-Iie, the farthest I've ever gone is to mainland Japan."

He proceeded to try and upsell the San Diego event, though truth be told Nao's interest had already been piqued by the Northern Lights... not to mention that both Nico and Yu-chan lived in that city, which would mean less of an inconvenience for them so everyone could meet up once more. However that was food for thought on another day, as the raven haired boy now finally spoke up regarding Ollie's hot take mere moments before.

"Not on your fucking life, Oli. You'd have to pay me to go on a date with her."
"I mean... He clearly ain't interested, but if you pay him to come, I'll pay our tickets. A date ain't half bad yeah, as friends only~"

She wasn't sure what to make of the dynamic, but right now Nao really wished her had a cup of tea or something to occupy herself with as this happened. Instead the woman tried to play it as cool as she could, hoping she didn't step on a verbal landmine by mistake.

"Y-Yeah, a date with friends would be lovely...? I'd love to see Philly, especially since it seems to have importance for all of you."

"Oh shit, my little sister just finished her freshman year at Drexel, she's doing uh..." he paused and rummaged through the attic that was his brain, flitting through various metaphorical memory cabinets until he'd hit the right one. "Doing Mechanical Engineering. She's been struggling a lot but she's a smart kid so I trust her to do fine. And Drexel isn't for morons," he would raise an eyebrow at Nico. "It's a pretty solid school, it's not Temple but you know..."

He would watch how Ari and Nico responded to his little tactical teasing nuke and at first began to panic as Ari responded more viscerally than Nico, but as his heart rate began to rise he found a familiar aura taking hold of his heart and banished the panicking to the shadow realm (AKA New Jersey.) This would be an interesting dynamic to watch play out, and if he was going to take things slow and let Nao adjust to him in person, he would have to vent his desire to tease elsewhere.

"But speaking of tickets, you guys wouldn't need to pay for tickets I can just get your VIP passes. The Ivory Rose is one five main troopes that puts the faire on, so we get a bunch of freebies to give out to friends and family. The only locals are like, Me, Tony, and one of the squires David, so we get free reign over a veritable loot pile of passes, merch, and all sorts of other shit. Just lemme know, I could hook you two- err, you all up." Fuck, Nao wanted to go to Philly now. That was fine, he could see her all dressed up in cute winter clothes, hold her hand as they walked through the park, bump into his Uncle who would tease him relentlessly about having a girlfriend, his little sister who would badger them relentlessly on stories on how'd they'd met, or worse yet, his mother who would badger him about getting married and having grandchildren.

He would turn back to Nao, and for a moment would peel his gaze off her pretty face as he noticed she was fidgeting. He might not have Hyper Sense IRL, but that didn't mean his eyes were useless, he just had to work a little harder. "Hey, Hun." He would turn to Nao, dabbing a bead of sweat off his forehead.

"It's a kind hot out here, but I didn't see where you grabbed the cups. Could you show me where they're at so I can everyone some water?" His eyes would flit to Nico and Ari, both still in the the throes of whatever emotion his taunting had instilled in them. "I'm pretty parched, I can only imagine you two must be thirsty after making that walk three times eh?"

It was flimsy, but at best he could buy him and Nao some time to escape into the house, leaving Romeo and Juliet to duke it out on the porch for a moment.

"I used to be in Mech E. too," Ari explained to Oli. "I'd offer to give her a hand if she ever needed it, but to be honest, I sucked at it, and I hated it. Good luck to her though, the course is tough, but I'm sure she's a smart cookie." To be completely fair to Ari, he had actually passed all his courses thus far, even if it was just by the skin of his teeth. But to describe it as 'soul sucking' would've been too kind. Switching out of that major was probably the best choice he'd ever made.

"...A date ain't half bad yeah, as friends only~"
"Y-Yeah, a date with friends would be lovely...?"
"...we get free reign over a veritable loot pile of passes, merch, and all sorts of other shit. Just lemme know, I could hook you two- err, you all up."

Ari looked at the three co-conspirators skeptically, the slightest of narrowing of his already narrow eyes the only indication that he was having a real 'what in the same hill?' moment going on in his brain. Nao could get a pass (as she likely always would), being that she looked genuinely confused and concerned. Nico though? The woman had acted like she hated his guts right up until the point he'd bought their food for the next three days, and, though she might think he had forgotten, Ari did in fact still remember getting his bell rung by her the first time they'd met. Was he supposed to be interested? And what about Oli? The man knew quite well how Ari felt about relationships. And it didn't seem like the man was trying to egg him into a one night stand.

"I'm pretty parched, I can only imagine you two must be thirsty after making that walk three times eh?" Oli then asked awkwardly, making it not at all subtle that he was looking for a temporary out.

"Yeah, please, thank you," the man said averting his gaze to look at...whatever was in front of him in the garden.

"Ah! nono." Fuck, Olivier took it the wrong way. What were the chances his sister would even go to Drexel? Before she could let panic show up far more than that, Nico tapped at her chin, buying herself a second or so with a thoughtful humm to work as a filler to her lack of an answer. "That only applies to Ari, don't worry." A sage-like nod followed. Hopefully this wouldn't backfire anylonger now that she explained the butt of the joke...

"But speaking of tickets, you guys wouldn't need to pay for tickets I can just get your VIP passes."

The stars in her eyes lit themselves once again at the magical 'Free VIP passes'. "Wait, really? Well that sounds awesome really." She replied with a sheepish look on her face, struggling to accept that in the first place. He didn't even knew her that long and he's already handing over gifts like that. Uncalled, Unpredictable kindness- Just the kind of thing she doesn't know how to react to.

"Y-Yeah, a date with friends would be lovely...?"

"Yeah exactly!" She blurted out once Nao decided to join in, casually pointing a finger at her, with a little wiggle to add relevance to what she just said. Three against one, and Ari finally got outnumbered. She could prepare herself a few months in to deal with a date with him, that's no biggie, not when the show would be lovely to look at from a VIP's perspectiv-

"I'm pretty parched, I can only imagine you two must be thirsty after making that walk three times eh?"

Wait wat

Nico wiped the imaginary sweat off her forehead once Olivier found the perfect excuse to leave the two of them alone, and Nao certainly sounded like she wanted some fresh-air out of the western tension they dragged into her home. Woe be her, her plans kept backfiring and now she would be left on her own with the Eboy himself...

"Crack a cold one for me." She half-joked, half-pleaded for one.

Tapping her own lap indecisively, Nico figured to break the ice with a literal punch to it's face could do wonders, and reminding herself she still had a cold soda can, she gently set it on the ground and rolled it on Ari's direction. "Ain't this the consequences of my own actions, eh?" She spoke with all honesty, if her schemes from earlier weren't obvious enough, then this should confirm it.

"Listen just to make it clear, if I'm doing that it's only because Ollie over here offered free tickets and shit, and I don't want to let him down. So we could just... Play along with it. Man seems pretty nerveous right now." She paused, shrugging with a closed-eyed smile. "At least I would be if I was on his shoes, visiting my death game online girlfriend with a bunch of crazy fucks like you, me and Theo."

She couldn't lie, the idea of perhaps doing a Philly trip one day to catch the Northern Lights show sounded fun—so much so that Nao couldn't help but smile at the thought. I'll have to start saving then... airplane tickets are never cheap. It would mean making some adjustments here and there, but they certainly had time... hopefully four months would be enough for Nao to save up enough for it all.

"Hey, Hun."
"Mmm?"

She responded at the prompt, only realizing Ollie had been using a pet name shortly afterwards—though one the woman was already somewhat used to. He'd proceed to explain that he didn't remember where the cups were, and how Ari and Nico were probably thirsty about their triple walk. "A-Ah, h-hai!" There was a sudden realization as her hands rose to her mouth to cover a gasp of surprise, gosh how could she even forget about something like that... she was being a terrible host no doubt.

"G-Gomen, we'll be r-right back then."

With a soft nod and a bow Nao was then moving back towards the kitchen, waiting just long enough for Ollie to catch up, before she spotted Theo busy at work with today's menu. "A-Ah... sumimasen, Theo. Promise we won't bother you much, just getting some refreshments." The taller boy would stop his current activity, a glance given over to Nao and Ollie as they entered the kitchen, before he'd nod silently as he resumed his cooking.

"Ollie, could you grab that serving tray over there? Glasses are on the bottom cabinet shelves to the right of the sink."

She'd move towards the fridge in the meantime, extracting a rather large pitcher of prepared iced green tea that Nao always kept ready for the summer heat. She would set it besides the table to wait for Ollie, before the woman grabbed a few extra things from her firdge. A small cutting board and knife soon joined the stuff as Nao sat by the table—the kitcjen was small after all, and Theo was already busy juggling the various menu items that Ari and Nico had picked up—before she began cutting a few tin slices of cucumber and lemons as garnishes.

"Shit dude, I might have to give her your number." Olivier would reply to Ari with a grin. "And of course she's a smart cookie, she's my little sister," he would squint and give him a nudge. "Single too~" That wasn't an actual attempt to hook him up with his sister, gods above he did not need a fuckboy like Ari in his family, but he was sensing some...tension with Nico. Was someone a Tsundere? Perhaps trying to neg the E boy into a little bit of affection? Maybe looking for a simp? He couldn't tell.

Speaking of.

"I figured you were just dogging Ari, my sister's honor remains un-besmirched. Careful though, I will not hesitate to throw a glove down for her." He would give Nico a pat on the shoulder as he rose to his feet to follow after Nao. "I'll bring some cold ones back with me, how bout that? Don't go killing eachother while we're not here eh?"

He would pad alongside Nao through the house, nervously wringing his hands. "Hey, by the way..." He would catch up to her. "Sorry to just thrust hosting this on you suddenly. Ari and I have hotel rooms booked at a nearby resort, so you won't need to worry about us constantly hogging up your house if you don't want us around. But like also, the resort we have has a nice beach, so if you want to hang around and drink fancy drinks and order expensive room service, I saved up so I could splurge on this." He would follow her into the kitchen and then add to it.

"Although..." he twiddled his thumbs. "As long as we're having a good time I don't care what we do, you know? As long as I'm spending time with you?" He would fetch the tray, and follow her instructions, preparing the tray with glasses and ice. "Is that corny? It's probably corny but like-" He would sigh, chewing on his lip slightly. "It's how I feel?" He would grab a couple of the cans of beer they'd bough for good measure, considering Nico had asked for a cold one a couple of brewskies couldn't hurt.

"Yeah, go for it, dude," Ari said with a chuckle. At least Ari knew for sure that was a joke. There was no way in hell that Oli would want Ari to date his sister. "I might not be much help, but I still remember most of the bullshit they taught me."

The other two left, leaving Nico and Ari on their own, silence falling between them. That was fine with Ari. The man simply leaned back slightly, propping himself up on his arms, and closed his eyes, enjoying whatever brief moments of serenity he could manage.

Of course, that didn't last too long. Nico's voice was accompanied by the sound of a can gently being placed on the ground. Ari opened his eyes and glanced over at the pink haired woman as she rolled the can over to him. "Ain't this the consequences of my own actions, eh?"

The man couldn't help but scoff in amusement as he picked up the soda can and cracked it open, the satisfying sound of carbonation fizzling in the air. He set it back down between them, as she went on, and when she'd said her piece, Ari turned his head slightly, almost lazily, as he stared at her. He struck her with a piercing gaze, a level of perception and intensity he hadn't once shown thus far on the trip. It was almost as if he were trying to peel back her skin, look at whatever cogs and gears lay beneath, understand what really made her tick.

Moments went on in silence like that before Ari finally spoke. "I don't get you," he said. A statement of fact. "You act like you couldn't care less about anyone, except for maybe Nao. But then you turn around and make sacrifices for the sake of others." Ari averted his gaze again, looking at the garden once more. "You wouldn't be here if that wasn't case," he said, his tone impassive. "I'll be honest. I don't know how I feel about you yet. But like you, if it makes Nao and Oli happy," Ari shut his eyes again and let his head lull back. "I can deal."

That one unexpected pat almost gave her an out-of-body experience as she tilted forth and bounced back at idle, glancing back at Ollie with a pokerface at first, and a smile a second after. "Promise. Just don't take that long eh?" Said while keeping in mind their interests. Endurance test time, let's go.

The way he scoffed made her eyes squint, but the amusement dripped out of him practically, and when that loud 'TZZT' followed she cracked half-a smirk, held together despite the ominous energy within his eyes, an intensity that almost wiped the funny out of her, yet Nico kept it together in silence, half-closed lids. Eventually he would open his mouth just as the 'gas leak' from their drink grew unbearable to her, who could pick up every little sound in their surroundings with how deadly quiet everything turned.

"You act like you couldn't care less about anyone, except for maybe Nao. But then you turn around and make sacrifices for the sake of others."
She took a sip and set it back between them, tilting it so the side her lips didn't touch of the aluminium can faced him.
"You wouldn't be here if that wasn't case."
Baby blues finally met him, lips pursed onto a thin line.

"I don't. Usually." He had half of the truth right. "We are all just fucked up. Playing this death game, sitting here like anything we are doing makes sense right now." Hands went against her thighs with an ugly frown set on stone. "I go half over the world for this chick I barely know, with this guy I hate, the edgelord I don't trust, and a nerveous big muscle guy. But you know what? It's been awesome so far." She giggled, shooking off her head almost filled with nostalgia once their entire rodeo at the airport repeated itself like a film inside her mind, in hindsight? They weren't so different to old slapstick comedy.

It was her turn now to be the perspective one. "I know you don't give a fuck if I say sorry or not for being a bitch. So instead I'll pay you back for that and the ticket here this way, since we both care for these two knuckleheads." Perhaps the most intense SHE has been this time around, and levelheaded too, the 'angry and hungry' motif simply gone like it never existed in the first place. "Look whose talking though." Her lips tugged into a smile. "Actin' all cold and cool, but you all softie eh?" And now she was being a hypocrite. But in this case?

It's like staring at a mirror to see an Eboy version of herself.

"Ah, iie, don't worry about that. I don't mind having everyone here, really." It had certainly been a while since the house had felt so alive after all and, after her initial shock had faded at the unexpected surprise, Nao realized she was truly enjoying the company of everyone present. "We don't need to splurge or anything like that to have a good time, that said a beach day would be nice..."

If her memory served well she was pretty sure the weather channel had stated today and tomorrow would be overcasted... but a sunny day was expected for the day after.

"Maybe we could all go the day after tomorrow~"

She would watch as Ollie prepared the glasses on the tray and added ice to them, before the woman carefulyl poured the iced green tea into them. Slices of lemon and cucumber were added as garnish, along with a small sprig of mint, before Nao moved back to the fridge and pulled out a small pack of tiny yakult bottles. The packaging was promptly opened and properly disposed, before the woman picked up one of the five glasses and one of the yogurt bottles before settling them on the counter besides Theo (@Jin).

"Here, these are for you... and if you need any help in the kitchen then, please, don't hesitate to ask."

It was the least she could do in return as the taller boy slaved away with everything that Ari and Nico had decided to purchase for tonight's dinner, before her attention turned back to Ollie as he spoke.

"Is that corny? It's probably corny but like-It's how I feel?"

"I-Iie, it's not corny at all..." She could feel a faint blush rising on her cheeks again, keenly aware that Theo was also in the kitchen with them at the moment. "... I do enjoy spending t-time with you too, Ollie."

The remaining 4 yogurt bottles would be placed on the tray before her hands wrapping around the handles, waiting for Ollie to pick the beers he had promised Ari and Nico, before making their way back to the porch where the pair awaited... and, surprisingly, they were not going at each other's throats.

"We're back with refreshments... and also a little treat, I hope you like them."

"I'm not sure about the forecast, but sure!" Olivier would reply hefting up the beers and following after Nao. The drinks she had prepared looked like something straight out of Food network show. "I-I'm glad." Her words would send his heart pounding as he grinned like an idiot, following after her back to the garden, prepared for the worst when they found the two frenemies. Instead, they found the two in seemingly...good spirits. His eyes narrowed as they flit between the two. It would appear he had missed a moment, something he would have to remember to ask Ari if he remembered it in the morning.

"Yo! Brought some beer with me too." He would waggle the gaggle of cans attached via plastic caps. "Kirin Ichiban? Nice choice, my buddy Tony is obsessed with getting his hands on this whenever we can." He would wait for Nao to set the tray down and take her seat before passing a glass to Ari and Nico, and then taking his seat and yawning slightly. "Now that I think about it, I'm fairly certain I've drank with all of you in game, aside from you Nico." He would lean forward and peer at her. "But do you guys drink a whole lot outside of the game too?"

He would give Ari a light nudge with his elbow and raise an eyebrow. In Terrasphere he'd get hit with a Primal Aura of questioning, but given that this wasn't Terra he could simply pick up through context clues that the giant was curious about the events that transpired in his absence. Either way, he would stretch out his legs, take a sip of the ice cold tea, and bask in the sun like a proud lion for a moment. "Man, based on how today's going, I can't wait to see how the rest of this trip turns out."

There was the smallest hint of surprise when Nico placed the can of soda between them again. A peace offering of sorts, he supposed. The man picked up the can and took a sip as he listened to her. "You're right. I am a big softie. And I don't really care for apologies," Ari responded, his voice lacking any and all vitriol. Instead, it seemed sincere. Again, a statement of fact, but one of quiet honesty. "Just...stop putting walls up. Be yourself." The raven haired man took one last sip of the soda before placing it between them again. "I guess we're not that different after all," he said to no one in particular.

Nao and Oli returned just about then, laden with beverages to help them all cool off. "Thanks," Ari greeted them with a soft smile, picking up a glass of green tea and sipping on it. Far less sweet than the soda, but far more refreshing.

"Mm, yeah, I drink IRL too," he answered Oli as the man took a seat beside him, just before he nudged Ari's shoulder and gave him a questioning look. The question was clear even without Brutus' telepathy. Ari returned the gaze with a reserved look of his own, his face yielding no answers for the man. For now, it could remain a secret between the two. They had a reputation to uphold after all.

"Man, based on how today's going, I can't wait to see how the rest of this trip turns out," Oli then said, accepting Ari's silence.

"It's gonna be wild," Ari replied with another gentle smile, looking back at the garden again, sipping at his drink. "I'll be honest, I didn't try to plan too far ahead," he said to the others, glancing over at them. "Figured we could all make plans together, do whatever. This is all for you, anyways, Nao. Is there anything you'd like to do with us while we're here?"

His admittance into her words at least put him under a far more positive light than earlier, although she couldn't feel smug about it this time around.

"Just...stop putting walls up. Be yourself."

Not when he cut her down with that. Incredulous, confused even, tilting herself to the side uncomfortably so as her eyes darting back to where she expected Nao and Ollie to come, expecting them to jump in at any second to save her.

"We're back with refreshments... and also a little treat, I hope you like them."

Thank GOD!

She hopped back up and headed over to help Nao with the tray even if she didn't particulary need or asked for it. "What's this?" Nico pointed back to the 'refreshments', but right there like a guardian angel, big man Not!Brutus himself shook these cans, shiny irises like a cat following a laser pointer. "Man I almost forgot I asked for one even." She headed back to sit down next to Nao once again, one grabby hand going after the promised beverage, taking the glass up to her lips for a gulp.

"Usually I got stella on my house. I'm too lazy to try others, but since Ari here paid for 'em..." A sly glance back at him, then to Ollie. "I drink when there's the money for it, really. Ingame though? I'm drinking all the time, and damn you can tell the difference." It was hard to judge it, but it's the same as buying vegetables from a supermarket as opposed to taking them fresh from a farm, much like how this is the case for lemons.

The topic went back to what was planned and what not, and the latter seemed to be the bulk of it. It's a good thing Theo existed because she can't imagine Ollie babysitting them even half of their stay without losing his sanity mid-way through.

"I'll do whatever you all want. But a beach day wouldn't be half-bad in the middle of all this madness." She paused, raising both hands on the air then pointing back at herself. "And me? I'm gonna find all the weeb shit I can think of when we get to places, because here in the woods I doubt I'll find what I want." All the more proud about it.

Oh man, she can probably find the 97th volume of Two Piece if she's lucky enough!
