Personality
Miss Uto is a fairly simpleminded woman; having been raised by daddy's trust fund, she has never had drive to really think deeply upon anything for herself. The world was and is something that belongs to her; if she has want for anything at all, she knows her father will tell someone to ensure she gets it. However, that isn't to say she is a bad person, but rather that her skull is emptier than the calories in a bag of potato chips.
The young lady actually loves to give back to the people who support her, often times giving gifts she thinks would be useful or nice to her father's employees. Her intent does not stop her from being completely off the mark however--with gifts such as knives, inedible cookies, and bouquets of marigolds being just a few exemplars of her poor gift choices.
Strangely enough however, as soon as she is separated from the umbilical chord of Daddy's Bank Account, she has a surprising capability not normally on display. Being a long time gamer, a hobby her father greatly protested and has refused to fund, she has a strange capacity to navigate her game worlds that she is seemingly incapable of displaying offline.
As Mari, she aim's to save the day, and help the NPCs of this game live better fake little lives. She wants to have fun being a great hero, and become idolized in the same manner she idolizes her own father.
Positive: Friendly, Generally tries her best, Heroic
Negative: Egocentric, Kind of stupid, Has poor taste in gifts
Background
Miss Uto's father is a wealthy business owner, and spent most of his daughter's formative years being far too busy to actually raise her. Her mother wasn't much better for her development, on account of having been murdered. As such, rather than being raise by her parents, Sakura was raised by her daddy's bank account and stock portfolio.
Young miss Uto grew up spoiled rotten. Her father left her to be babysat by the internet, which ended up causing her to develop a gaming addiction from a young age. Becoming a hero was just too much of a draw for someone who could barely befriend her peers.
As she got older, her few friends came to understand and abuse her simpleminded and honest nature; the ones she thought were kind, more and more they used her as an engorged piggy bank. Such relationships would never be sustainable, and, when things came to a breaking point, miss Uto ran away to the worlds of her games.
Her father tried everything he could to get her to go to school again; it came to a point where any school would be good enough. He tried boarding school, having her study abroad, and even private tutors, but the girl simply refused to leave her worlds of heroic fantasies.
Eventually however, Mr. Uto found the perfect tutor, a man who was willing to patiently deal with the fantastical coping mechanism of young miss Sakura. Under his guidance, she learned many things. She first caught back up with all the school she'd missed, but then she started learning more practical skills; she learned to manage networks, some small measures of self-defense, how to pick a lock, and many other assorted skills.
This tutor of hers went missing a couple years ago, but recently she received an email from him. he promised an explanation for his sudden disappearance, but only if she met him within a particular game.
