It'd been a few weeks since their initial meeting, and Juni was good about texting people daily. She'd been nervous at first due to the girl's cold mannerisms that maybe it was all to be polite, but she'd found a rather good friend in her. She was a little short, sometimes, but that wasn't a detriment really. It'd just taken a little more doing to try to get the other girl to talk a little more, and she had to start on topics when she wanted to know something specific. They'd done a good bit of talking regarding the steps for her to get a passport and get the other necessary paperwork for moving across the world, but she still hadn't really told her parents everything.
All they had to know was that she was moving to get a job there as an English teacher, hearing the pitch she'd practiced for days to sell them on the idea. Of course, they were against it at first, but eventually her dad came around, and then her mom. It was clearly something she really wanted, and they'd always known she was into Japan in general. At worst, she figured, they hoped that she didn't like it and came crawling back to them. If only they knew...
"Hey! Hope you're havin' a good day!" She texted on one line, keeping to her speech pattern even in text, "I think I've just about got everything sorted out on my end. You ready to plan for me to be there?" Even though they'd been decent friends for a bit now, she still felt nervous, like there was a pit in her stomach. What if something went wrong? What if it wasn't going to happen at the last minute?
