2 Years Ago, Somewhere In Tertoria...
Hurried footsteps...
A flash of pink and the closing of a door. Long rows of bookcases lined the area. A girl with a bloodstained shirt wandered. A small light coming from a bag at her side. She hastily buttoned the jacket she wore and made her way through the maze.

"Oooh, what did we do? Gee whiz did you kill someone?"
The tiny voice came from a small sprite-like girl that looks just like the bagholder if a lot cutesy and less covered in blood.

"What the hell did you expect me to do? Not fight back? They want me dead you little pest...Giggle, it's like I didn't help them get to the end point of their job anyway. Don't have to work if you're dead.♥."
Wendel immediately changed from a smug look to a cautious one as the sound of boots against the floor echoed throughout what seemed to be a library. The Dark Heart had finally been free of Vermillion's influence and able to do as she pleased. Only to end up in a land where the moment she tried to do what was right, she was being hunted left and right.
She didn't kill people randomly, wasn't merciless, not a monster...
Wendel killed those who suffered and evil people persons!
All the evil people everywhere!
So why were these supposed "heroines" after her? Why did everyone act so upset when she was just trying to help? Magi Heart never could help anyone, but Wendel could... and didn't care if they liked it or not, because SHE cares more. Yet this stuff happens all the time. It was good that she felt things differently than before, or else she may have stopped her efforts. Wendel would never stop though, it was all she knew.
Dissonance.
In the bag with Chibi Magi was a tome the duo had agreed to take. Even the tiny Magi had been curious to understand what Dissonance was. So while in this.... school(?) after dark, Wendel had hoped to read some of it She had taken it off of one of those... D.E.S. people persons and well, it was insanely confusing to read. Being only with a middle school education didn't help matters. It didn't even look like coherent english! Worse was that now, she had someone on her trail.
The girl she took it from was hurt. Looking like she had returned from a battle of some kind. The girl was at a campfire and was literally missing a limb. Wendel offered to help her and...
She freaked out and tried to kill the Dark Heart!
Of course that just led to a quick saving which made the distorted pinkette feel quite pleased with herself. Chibi Magi then woke up from whatever weird sleep thing she does and started to nag Wendel. At least the girl she saved had clothes that were a lot better than the crappy dresses she was given by that family she had stayed with after the Silent Palace incident. The jacket was great for covering her bloodstain even now!
What she didn't expect was somehow knowing what she did and chasing after her. At first, Wendel had tried to fight the new person off. No matter what magic type she used to fire, astral or dark.... this new girl somehow deflected it. Leaving the pinkette with no choice but to flee. Now she had snuck into this building and found her way here.
"I know you're here murderer. I won't let you escape."
Wendel didn't murder for no reason... why couldn't she understand?
"My partner would have died peacefully, but you desecrated her with your corrupted filth. I would have gained the position easily if I was the only one alive without any drama. The only thing missing is you..."
The cold voice came from somewhere. Wendel was unable to know exactly where. She could feel the magic present for certain. This girl like the other one was one of them. The Dark Heart vaguely recalled hearing the name while under Vermillion's control during a mission.
Star Chosen.
She knew a person called Star Maiden existed but didn't know there were mini Star Maidens as well. At one time, she would have wanted to be one but here she was being hunted like she was the baddie! Gee whiz, Wendel couldn't wait to return to Astona or whatever it was called and find Raina again. That was the only true hero out there in the distorted pinkette's mind.

"Maybe we should turn ourselves in... just try to explain we were trying to help and..."
"When I find you. I will bring just enough of you to HQ... Then I'll be given the title of Star Chosen for defeating a Second Order and avenging my partner... You helped out, little monster. Now I'm going to purify you. Permanently like a real pro. I'll purify you so good you will never feed on humans again. The only thing you'll be fed is my sword in your heart wretched Fateless."
Chibi Magi made a terrified look as a sweatdrop came down her oversized forehead. This girl was... not very sane either was she?

"Yep, she's zany giggle..."
Wendel spoke as if able to read Chibi Magi's mind, probably because they shared one in a way.
*Ssssssthhh*
A sharp blade thrust out from behind the bookshelf Wendel hid behind and nearly went straight through her head. Ducking just in time she started to run down the aisle.
*Ssssssssssssssssssssssstttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
The blade rushed after her, chopping the bookcases and books, wood, decor, and anything else like butter. The blade gleamed a deep blue as it speed up its pace. Wendel summoned Gertrude she already knew that this person somehow blocked her magic but she had no choice, and her own building grudge was taking control.

"Miss, really can we talk about this? Please... we're sorry right We- eyaaaaahhhhh!!!!"
A second sword came down vertically and a figure stood between the two halves of destroyed shelves.
"Talk about? You're a piece of a monster. I'm a Star Chosen in the making. That's the whole story."
Wendel began to fire streams of energy at close range but they kept being caught by one of the girl's blades each time. As if drawn to the blade. The sword glowed in the darkness, illuminating the figure when a door opened in the distance.
"Hey what's going on in here? The library is closed for renovation... I'm going to report you when I find out who... Ella's stars! Look at this mess!"
The dual-bladed figure looked back at the new male voice and Wendel used this as a chance to fire again striking her in the chest and sending her flying with a loud crash. Before she could celebrate though, the Dark Heart had stepped back and felt her foot hit something. She promptly lost balance tripping backward through a curtain...
Out a window.
The glass shattered as she fell from the library window of wherever she was. focusing hard Wendel used a spark of Divine magic to keep herself from hurdling down into... A massive pit? Who built this place anyway?

"Umm how long can you do this for cause I d-don't see a ground anywhere!"
Wendel didn't say anything she didn't really know either.
Then she felt herself descending...
And then falling...
And then pummeling.
*Clamp*
The claws of a large bird grasped onto the pinkette and began to take her back up, and up, and now soaring away.
Great, a monster bird... at least she could shoot it if it ever put her down.
Well, hopefully not too soon...
