Kaminari's friend from the other day had already told her a much scarier tale than Bonnie here was. The only difference was that she trusted her friend's story to be real. A wolf three times the size of a normal wolf didn't compare to an abomination ten stories tall. So far her luck in this world had been questionable, but she had yet to run into anything close to either of those, luckily. Still, she had a feeling today wouldn't end without her arm nearly getting ripped off. For the third time. It was something of a tradition for her at this point.

Although not particularly prepared for an ambush Kaminari recovered quickly. Seeing Sakura sprint off by herself to hide behind a tree and taking note of their assailant, the Magia woman couldn't help but smile slightly. She might die to killer bunnies, but at least it wasn't another bear attack.

Rumble seemed to be moving to take care of the timid beastkin girl, leaving her free to focus on the threat in front of them. "Bonnie, you call the shots!" She called out to the most obvious choice of leader for them. Experience trumped instinct in matters like this, or so she assumed.

Her eyes glowed a very bright, unnatural blue, bangs blown to the side by the breeze that suddenly sprung up around her. She raised her arms electricity forming around them before exploding out from her to converge into a single neon blue lightning bolt, striking one of the rabbits. The remaining electricity continued to move as thought alive, flying through the air and frying a second bunny too. Maybe they wouldn't need to coordinate as much as she had thought.

The blonde swallowed dry the moment the creatures revealed themselves. What the hell was going oon, these things — none of the people she had shared info with in reality talked anything about this. Bonnie took a step back, the glint of crimson orbs piercing far deeper into her mind than she had expected. Paralyzed by the unfolded events, it was only when Sakura’s voice rang out that the fae had snapped out of her trance.

Move. You had the guts to brag non-stop, so move!

She heard the sickening crunch of bones, courtesy of @Mighty Rumblehide ,

The mighty crackling of magic, casted out of arcane wonder by @Kaminari Arashi ,

And the soothing aroma of nature empowering her allies, nurtured by @Sakura Wind .

Move.
Move!

Each one of them had already displayed amazing skills and they all were relatively new to the game, right? Then why? Had she forgotten to mess with some option that disabled fear, did she just suck, or maybe — suddenly, the mage’s words pull the fae out of her spiral of self-doubt. Even in this situation, someone still trusted her judgement. The short battle was already unfolding in their favor, but it wasn’t over yet.

Just then, one of the rabbits jumped towards Kaminari, ready to sink it’s teeth on the magia regardless of the nature of her flesh. Perhaps it was because of instinct, or a blessing from lady luck, but Bonnie was quick to act. The blonde reached for a rock on the ground and with a swift toss hit the rabbit on its head with impressive accuracy. It fell on the ground, clearly in pain as it struggled to recover.

‘Not on my watch!’ she rushed forward, picking the rock on the way before intercepting another one of its jumps with her arm. Its teeth sunk on her flesh but pain wasn’t a concern for her on the heat of the moment — with the hellish bunny stuck on her arm, she shoved it againt a tree before smashing its head several times with her impromptu weapon of choice.

‘Try to avoid using magic for now!’ she shouted back to Kami, looking back to scan the situation. If this was anything like a game, she’d rather not have the mage focused. Only one of them left, Sakura appeared for the most part fine, and all wounds were rather shallow. ‘Rumble! Get the last one!’ she called out, bashing away at a still struggling, half-dead rabbit.

Sakura was perfectly content hiding behind her safety tree while the others dealt with the rabbits. She had even found a small tree branch to wield as a makeshift self-defense weapon. She didn't want to hurt any of the rabbits, though, despite having just been bitten by one. She was entirely focused on her allies, ready to go heal one of them if they got too hurt.

Sakura's lack of spatial awareness let the last remaining rabbit sneak up on her. She didn't even notice that the last rabbit had been missing amidst the chaos of the battle, until she heard the sound of movement next to her. Without hesitation, she swung her tree branch at the source of the noise in an attempt to get it to go away. Her attempt proved futile, though, as she missed entirely and the tree branch broke upon contact with the ground. The rabbit jumped up and bit into the beastfolk's wrist, prompting a series of noises that can only be described as pure panic as she tried to shake the rabbit off her.

Meanwhile, the others could notice a few cherry blossom petals floating around Mighty and Sakura.

While the others were dealing with their own vermin, one more decided to make a play for Mighty Rumblehide. A flurry of fur and teeth, gnashing and hungry for blood, promising pain and violence and tetanus as it leaped at the elf.

She effortlessly deflected its first attack with her shield. Dashing to the right, she prepared to strike out at its flank while it was stunned. But it recovered its wits in time; and instead her bloodied mace smashed harmlessly against the dirt. Her shield arm swung wide, it provided the opening for the rabbit to take a chunk out of her forearm.

Rumble growled more than she screamed. Perhaps her anger was taking the reigns, blocking out some of the pain. As drops of blood trickled onto the grass, she took another swing at the rabbit. Sloppy. Untrained. The critter easily got out of the way.

"Kaminari! It's coming after you!"

Avoid using magic? That seemed like such a strange request to make of a mage. She didn't have anything but magic in the first place. Plus, there was only one murder bunny left. Her face become more serious at her companions fumbling which seemed to set the bunny straight for her. She didn't really blame them, this was probably their first taste of combat in this game. This would be her third and was by far the least stressful encounter she had had. No bears were ripping her arms off, and she wasn't shoving her arm further down their throat in a moment of reckless stupidity. That had been probably the dumbest thing she had done in her life, although not the most painful.

Her eye's glowed blue once more, bracing herself for the imminent attack. A single bunny wasn't even close to being scary. She waited for it to leap at her, not moving. The murder bunny leapt at her, flying through the air with it's jaws wide open. She attempt to bat it away but as she wasn't the most physically adept she missed and it latched onto her hand. Kaminari winced in pain and channeled a powerful burst of electricity through her body, frying her assailant.

"Good job everyone." The magia said quietly, pressing her hand against the wound on her other hand as a trickle of unnatural black blood dripped slowly down her arm. "How's everyone doing?"

Wham!

Another hit, another one, again, again and again — turns out a weapon as simple as a rock wasn't as effective as they were in movies. At long last, the teeth buried in her arm weakened their grip and the creature went limp. This was… Terrasphere? Ragged breaths escaped her mouth, wondering how his sweet sister had managed to play this… Thing. Games were about having fun. Was this any fun?

No fucking way.

Out of nowhere magic strikes again, and her eyes widened as she turned around, 'Wait, there might be more-' her eyes had betrayed the tactics she had in mind. The last rabbit unceremoniously fell to the ground, marking the end of her first experience with monster slaying in the game. Her wobbly legs couldn't support her weight anymore, and Bonnie fell back, sitting on the soft grass.

'M-more of them… I guess not…' It wasn't anything like he imagined it to be. No amount of preparation and mental drills could have steeled his resolve for this. Perhaps the most insulting part of everything, however, is that they were just rabbits. What about wolves, zombies or dragons? This wasn't for him. Sure, some mad lasses out there would definitely get a kick out of this, but —

The blonde tightened her first, ready to open the palm menu and leave right there,

But…

He'd just be running away. He - no, she had to do better than that.

Her shoulders relaxed as a sigh escaped her lips, 'Yeah, I'm fine over here. Wish I at least spawned with a weapon on hands, though.' she glanced at Kaminari, 'Magic sure seems nice. I probably should have picked tha – ouch?!' the wound on her arm hissed as the leftover blood moved on its own to seal the wound. Little did she know that that was her racial trait in effect.

'Well, ain't that nice… My only special thing is healing up once I take damage? Boo.'

Sakura's flailing had produced some effect, as the rabbit gnawing on her arm had been flung to her allies to be dealt with. Sakura slowly sat down next to the tree she had been hiding behind, rubbing her arm. "...Ow..." As she rubbed her arm, she noticed some miniature cherry blossom petals floating near the bit area. She watched as the wound seemed to close itself, though the pain still persisted somewhat. "...What the...?"

Sakura contemplated what just happened. Was that... me? Can I heal others? She immediately forgot about the wound on her leg as she picked herself up off the ground to rejoin the others. If I can heal others... I want to heal them. "I'm fine... I think." The beastfolk made her way to Kaminari, looking at her covering a wound. "...Can I see the wound?" A few cherry blossom petals started floating around Sakura's hand as she reluctantly reached for Kaminari's arm, ready to try healing it if her companion allowed her to.

...I hope I can heal them. I'd rather heal people than hurt them if I can. Sure... Injuries may scare me a bit, but... Like socialization, I can overcome that fear, right?

"Magic's nice," Rumble said with a nod towards Bonbon, "but there's just something satisfying about the thwack! of a big hunk of metal connecting with your enemies."

Not that she'd know yet. The game felt like it was actively fighting her with every swing she took--as if every attack were pre-determined; a series of commands coded into the game that dictate the arc and velocity of each and every strike to achieve optimal crushage, bashage, and destroyage.

She very much preferred her instincts as they were, thank you very much. You don't get terribly far as a big bruiser in wrestling without knowing how to swing a kendo stick, a steel chair, an exploding barbed wire baseball bat, or an offensive poster board sign held by some sweaty, fat douchebag in the crowd.

Rumble could see her HP bar dwindling. Still above half, thank goodness. "Are you all okay? Any of you have any healing spells you can spare? I... don't have any health kits, or potions, or anything..."
