"The MIT has reported recent damages suffered to their equipment due to the natural conditions of the camp, the Adventurers and Lions are running themselves ragged trying to dispatch as many of their number available to act as security, the Explorer's... Ah. Off mapping up the area and identifying potential threats, which brings us to..."

Rael spoke quietly as she sat over an emptied supply crate, feet dangling off the edge. A leather-bound journal rested comfortably on the elf's lap, its blank pages staring back up at the pink-haired woman, who did little more than to hum and tap her writing implement against it, hoping for a burst of inspiration to come calling.

However unconventional, it was how she entertained herself while everyone else assisted the camp's efforts. As interested as she had been to note down her findings on the event that had taken the lives of new and old players alike, the sight of a nearly destroyed Camp Nisus was far more striking than a battle she could no longer see for herself. Naturally, Landers weren't inclined to chat with so much yet to be done, and fellow Starcalled were even less so, already busy with their assigned tasks as they were.

Perhaps when everyone else's workload had decreased, they'd be more willing to talk.

"Oh... I had almost forgotten that you were here. May I have your names?" It was a miracle that she remembered to look up to the pair assembled before her, color quickly taking to her cheeks as the sudden mishap registered on her mind. She has put up posters calling for aid in completing one of the bounties of the Adventurer's Guild, but she hadn't imagined others would join in so quickly.

"I... I would like to advise you to conclude any last-minute preparations." Rael cleared her throat, making herself smaller by closing the journal and pressing it some to her chest, avoiding eye contact with the two she had momentarily forgotten about. "We can depart when you are ready, just... Making some notes here."

'So, what are we doing here, exactly..?' The thought repeated itself several times inside Charlotte's mind as she stood in front of the almost obnoxiously pink elf who wasn't even paying any attention to her surroundings. Weren't they supposed to be working together or something like that? The white fox gathered that much from what she read and was told, but it sure didn't feel like it, not one bit. There was another person as well, which meant this whole thing would be a work for three.

"Um…"

Extending her hand forward a bit, that was Charlotte's very brief attempt at getting the woman's attention, though it was very quickly curbed. She just had no idea how to approach someone like that. Hell, these were some of her very first real activities in the game! She knew essentially nothing about everything. Then, the elf finally snapped back into reality, at long last.

"Charlotte, I guess."

Her avatar's full name was much longer, but she figured she should start things on a more positive and friendly note anyhow. No use in making enemies this early on. She just felt a bit fiddly, being surrounded by so many people in a brand new world. It was quite unlike her, really. That extroverted and dominant personality melted away as she was getting used to the game.

"All preparations were finished ages ago, at least on my side. You've been, uh… 'taking notes' for ages now. You sure you're good..?"

After getting herself settled into the world of Terrasphere, Morte had quickly went on her way. Attending to quests, doing lots of fighting, ya-da, ya-da. It wasn't long after she had arrived that she had heard of the events that had went down in the Tangleweaves not long before her arrival, cursing under her breath at the fact that she had missed it. There will always be next time. She told herself. And so, the least she could do was lend herself to whatever they needed done to rebuild the camp, especially if it included beating up some monsters.

Thus she found herself standing at the Camp, arms crossed over her chest rather impatiently as she taps a finger on her elbow, eyes trained on the familiar pink figure in front of her. An elf named Rael and someone she had actually ended up saving from drowning on both their first day there, she had agreed to work with her for familiarity sake. She also provided a damn good heal when you needed it and Morte was more than willing to work with someone who could provide where she could not, Except for at this point. What on earth is she doing?

She strides up to Rael's front as Charlotte tries to get her attention, a finger pushing down the journal as she looks at her with an eyebrow raised, "It's Morte, obviously. You're not so sucked in that you forgot my name now, are you?" she asks with a raise of her eyebrows and a smirk, her voice carrying a taunt to it as well as a deeper annoyance, before she flicks her hand away and turns to the other girl.

Someone she'd never met before, seemed to be a Beastfolk. She looks at her up and down for a second as if studying her, gauging her usefulness, and then sighs as she stretches out one of her arms, "What the fox girl said, let's get this done and over with." She had yet to see the newcomer in battle and thus would judge her accordingly when the time came, but for now she was uninterested in playing friendly. When it came down to it, she would then figure out if this was worth her time.

Rael leaned away from Morte's sudden approach, suddenly finding an object in the distance to be so very interesting.

"G-Greetings, Charlotte. It's, ah, nice to meet you. A-and it's good to see you once more, Morte." It would seem that the two recruited for the mission were of a same mind, urging the elf to hasten her own preparations as their own had already been finished long ago. Hiding the bottom half of her face behind her grimoire in order to hide her shame, she bounced off of the crate and began leading past the safety of the renowned camp and into the wilderness.

"Our quarry for the day is to be a Jade Jaguar, or so they have informed me as to its name." Rael turned the pages in search of her own handwriting, suddenly worried that she had forgotten to write down most of the relevant information overheard from adventurers talking around Camp Nisus. Before long, her notes were found, and she continued reading to the pair, steps deliberately slow in their advance seeing as her nose was stuck between the pages. "Quick on its feet, a predator which you may rely on your other senses to find, because sight might fool you."

"The Adventurer's Guild isn't worried about what you might wish to do with the body, which, seen as they are elementals, might serve you in crafting endeavors or for selling. So long as we bring back proof of killing, we might be rewarded for our efforts."
And she couldn't forget to relay information on her specialties for the sake of the mission, not in the presence of a stranger she hadn't fought with before.

"I specialize in healing. You may leave your well-being under my care, I-I'm still learning, but I've been told I'm making progress!"

What a merry bunch they were. The two other girls clearly already knew each other, which left Charlotte out of the circle somewhat. Though she wasn't particularly bothered by it, given how many solo adventures she already managed to have. Shooting a single glare at Morte when the taller woman eyed her, she was quick to relax when Rael herself got up and decided she would be the team's leader. At least as far as navigation went, anyway. Adjusting her hat and putting her hands behind her head, the white fox would silently follow as she looked around.

Ilmea's Lament was the only place she was familiar with, and this jungle was anything but reminiscent of the vast open sea. With vines and other vegetation everywhere, it almost felt like some kind of green labyrinth; she didn't like it one bit. Once this mission was over, she'd grab her reward and leave without further delay. For now, however, she listened to the explanation of a beast they would be facing - Jade Jaguar. A green beast for the green hell, it checked out.

"Other senses? Heh, no need to worry then. Beastfolk senses are exceptional"

It was also good to know that they had a healer with them. She wasn't sure how much she should trust someone who was ready to admit that they were still at the start of their medical journey, but surely she couldn't be any worse than Delice, right? The one who intrigued Charlotte more was Morte. Tall, dark, mysterious… a prime emo player!

"So what's yer deal? We've no need for more support, but ya don't look like one anyhow."
