The world manifesting in front of her eyes, Alana took her first breath in this digital world, the first breath she would ever take as Alana. Even after taking so long sculpting and designing her Avatar, she still didn't quite associate it with herself, at first. Looking down at it, examining her hands, then down at the rest of this foreign and unusual body. Selecting the Magia race had been an interesting choice, for all it was worth. Being a magical machine was strange, more in the fact that she really didn't feel any different to how a person felt. Supposedly she'd need to rest near to a source of magic or something, but she could solve that issue when she came to it.

She'd certainly made this body a lot more curvaceous and, in her opinion, beautiful than her real body was, but she was at least moderately sure that most people did that same kind of thing. It was a pretty remarkable thing, to be granted free reign to design the kind of body that she'd wanted, so there really hadn't been much hesitation when it came to making her body as she pleased and wished for it to be. Though, she was fairly certain that her girlfriend would have other ideas. She honestly had no idea what kind of look her lover would be going for, but she was definitely excited to see it.

So all she could really do was stand around and wait for the woman to materialize into the world.

Creativity was not the problem. Perhaps it was the feeling that she would not be herself? The idea was that she could improve herself when it came down to interacting with others, right? The girl had pondered over her choices for a while before she finally made her choice - one that probably only a very small fraction of players went for. She wasn't exactly someone who played games often, either, so this just felt right to her.

As the world of pale colors faded away, the silent hum would be replaced by the song of birds, chirping away. The perfectly still air was now filled with wind and the fresh scent of flowers and trees all around. With a single press of a button, 'Mint' had found herself in a strange new world, stumbling forward and immediately hitting something. Or rather, someone - the impact was very soft as she had collided against Alana.

"Huh..? WAAH!" Unable to recognize the person in front of her, panic set in right away as the girl scrambled to quickly get off and create some distance between herself and the stranger. She would have never expected her darling to look like this now, and it was something she would have to get used to over time.

Oh right, of course Sophia would be nervous when her first sight was of a complete stranger! How could she have forgotten when she was designing her character!? She'd gotten so lost in being able to design a new body that she'd forgotten that Sophia was the one that would have to look at it and deal with it more than she would! She'd been far too selfish with this! How could she have forgotten than Sophia was the kind of person that didn't do all that well with new things or new faces!

Sophia, it's me. Leigh! You're alright!

Well, Sophia was more than alright, actually. She'd not changed much about her avatar, but the pointed ears were a giveaway that her girlfriend had chosen to be an elf. And she'd also chosen to make her body more curvaceous and athletic at the same time. Her timid girlfriend had a much more amazonian body, she couldn't help but approve. Still, maybe proving that it was her would help put Sophia at ease?

We met at the library I work at. I'm sorry I ended up making my character look so different, but I got a bit carried away during character creation.

"L-Leigh?" Sophie quietly whispered the name again. It really was her, wasn't it? But she looked so different… no, it was definitely her darling! It was hard to describe, but now that she took a moment to take everything in, there was this feeling she was very familiar with from the physical world. She let out a sigh and wiped the small tears that formed in the corners of her eyes.

"Oh, thank goodness. I thought… that it was some stranger…" Stumbling forward, she basically fell into Alana's embrace. "I didn't know if I should change my avatar at all… so I only made some small changes the system suggested for an elf." She readily admitted that there was very little she did of her own will as far as her form went.

Her arms wrapped around Alana tightly, and she would not let go for a while as Mint buried her face in her girlfriend's chest. She had to admit that this whole experience was quite overwhelming for her, especially as this was the first full-dive MMO she had ever tried. Nothing short of amazing, but also quite scary at first.

Wrapping her arms around Leigh as her girlfriend stumbled forward and collapsed into her embrace, Alana stood there, holding the woman in her arms, gently rocking from side to side as she could. She had to do her best, to make sure that Sophia didn't get too overwhelmed. After all, she'd suggested this game to help the girl grow out of her shell a bit and experience more things, maybe even start to deal with that crippling anxiety that she knew her darling felt.

Haha, it's okay. I'm just glad you made it here. And being greeted by such a warm embrace really is quite the nice thing, isn't it?

Though she had to admit, maybe she should find some way to give her thanks to the system, for turning her girlfriend into a curvy, busty and all around drop dead gorgeous elven woman. Of course, she found Sophia absolutely stunning in the real world too, but the system had apparently given her girlfriend a body that many women would do horrible, terrible things to attain.

You really look good though, Sophia. I love it a lot. I hope you don't find my avatar to be, y'know, displeasing or unattractive. I know I look very different.

Being comforted by someone she completely trusted no matter what really was an excellent way to calm Sophie down. It only took moments for any shivering to stop, even her speech returning to normal. Still, that anxiety was something she'd have to work on if she ever hoped to interact with people other than her girlfriend in this world, which was the goal. "Yeah, it's nice…" Her words were soft and quiet, betraying that the girl probably wanted nothing more than just to close her eyes and stay like that for a while.

But they were here to do things, not laze about! Pulling herself away just enough so the embrace could remain, but the two would also see into each other's eyes, Sophie blushed at the comment as she moved the hair from her face behind one of her ears, all the while looking to the side. "T-thanks. I'm glad you're happy." As for what Leigh looked like in this world, Sophia really didn't care as much as one might have thought she would. "As long as Leigh is still Leigh, I don't care how she looks like. She will be pretty no matter what!"

Even when Sophia had calmed down, Leigh didn't bother completely letting go of her. Instead, she linked their arms together after Sophia had looked her up and down, leaning her head on her girlfriend's shoulder and smiling warmly at the contact. She hoped that keeping in contact with her would help keep Sophie grounded and stable, keep her feeling confident and excited about this world and the things that it would allow them to do together.

Of course I'm still me! That will never change!

Though that said, she hummed in thought before sending a friend request to Sophie, idly noting that her lover had chosen the name Mint for her character. It was cute!

Well, in this world, it'd probably be a good idea to call each other by our character names. So I'll be going by Alana in here and you'll be going by Mint. It helps keep people from somehow finding us in the real world and stuff, though I don't think that really happens anyway.

The embrace was very comforting, but it had to come to an end eventually, or else they would be stuck here for quite a while, maybe even the whole day. Nothing was better than to cuddle up with a loved one, perhaps in front of a fireplace, or more commonly, a television with a fun movie put on.

As the two girls partly separated, Mint jumped a bit when something suddenly appeared in her vision. Something that would not go away no matter where she looked. "Wha-wha-wha—?" It was so strange to have this floating window inside of her sight. "U-um… a… friend request? How, um… how do I accept it?"

No matter how she moved her hand around, she couldn't quite reach the window, it was strange and frankly a bit frustrating. Since she had no idea how to open up her menu, the notification was just that, a notification. As unreachable as her health and energy bars. Something that would likely take the girl some time to get used to - just like the new names.

"Alana… that will probably take some time to get used to…" Same for Mint. Sure, she chose the name, but it wasn't like she would immediately respond to someone calling her that. Not that she and… Alana would get separated much. Or at least she hoped that wouldn't happen… at least for a while.

Ah, well that was the first thing that they would have to cover. There were a lot of things that Mint would be unable to do if she couldn't even open her menu, so Alana smiled and stepped over, grabbing Mint's hand, whilst using her free hand to gesture.

It's okay Mint. Just try to copy the movements I make with my free hand using your free hand. This is how you open the menu.

Repeating the gesture that was used to open the palm menu over and over, Alana continued to repeat it until she was sure that Mint had it down and could open her menu over and over again without failing. Only when she saw Mint's name appear in her own friend list would she stop demonstrating the gesture and instead lean over to gently kiss her girlfriend on the cheek.

There are lots of things we can do here. Once we earn some money, we can probably even buy a house and run a business or something! And now we have stuff like magic and special powers, so we can do things we couldn't before.

Mint's wild flailing as she tried to 'catch' the notification was quickly interrupted by Alana as she started explaining the game's basics. It took the girl a brief moment before she realized exactly what she had to do, but the physical demonstration helped. "O-oh! It's making a bunch of options appear, that's the menu?" It was just a couple of steps from there for her to be able to aaccept the request that was sent her way.

"It's so strange... this place feels just like the real world, but then we can bring up all of these floating boxes and buttons. It feels like a lucid dream." As someone who was barely familiar with the full-dive tech, the girl was honestly having her mind be blown a bit at the moment. It was also very good that she had someone with her that could show it all to her safely.

The idea of buying a house was equally as amusing, and not just because of the real world economy. "That... really does sound like a second life, doesn't it?" It almost sounded dangerous. What if she grew to prefer this reality over the other one? Well... she simply prefered the world with her girlfriend in it, no matter whether it was physical or digital.

Alana couldn't help but chuckle as Mint flailed wildly as the notification likely appeared in her view, before the girl calmed slightly when she took the time to actually explain how to play, open the menu and other such things like that. Her girlfriend was so adorable, though they really did need to work on how skittish she could be with things. It was only a game notification and it had caused wild flailing, after all.

That's the menu, yeah. There's quite a lot of things that require the menu to be used, though not everything requires it, so don't get too reliant on it. I do agree though, it does feel a bit like lucid dreaming.

She draped an arm over Mint's shoulder, holding the girl close to her in the hopes that her close presense would make it easier for her lover to adjust and wrap her head around things.

So then, do you want to start a life together here too? We can have two lives together and do a bunch of different things in both!~

With a bit of a focus and an exhale, the friend request was finally accepted and the notification disappeared from Mint's center of vision. This really would take some getting used to. But she was more than willing to at least try, both for Leigh (or Alana, as she would have to call her in this place), and herself.

Her body still jolted the slightest bit as she felt her partner's touch, mostly high-strung from the new environment. But the warmth they shared as their shoulders pressed against one another calmed her down just as quickly. She even blushed at the comment about strating a new life here. It sounded almost fantastical.

"I- um- aah..." Trying to cover her momentary embarrassement from what was almost a concession coming out of nowhere, she covered her face with her hands. But only to then peek back at the girlfriend between her fingers. "I... I think we could, yeah... as long as its with you, I think we can do anything..!" Was that too cheesy. She didn't really care.
