He wandered over the growing group of people, wondering what the hell was happening on this side of camp. One minute, it's some man in fine clothing and a bunny girl making some kind of announcement, the next, it was a hoard of little rings and people chattering, mixed with the sounds of punched meat and clashing steel. The blonde man watched only for a bit, realizing that he was grinning and invested into the fights. Stepping forward to offer himself up as an opponent of perhaps a lower tier than some of the others. Approached quickly by @Creature, who offered to help shake off some of the rust.

The blonde man was quick to nod, and rush back to his small resting spot. Nabbing up the two swords in their scabbards and the belt they were attached to, fitting them along his dark pants and taking a few paces back. Waiting for the mark to start, and lunging forward with his slabs of steel. Using his speed to close the distance between them, and go for an upper-trajectory swing with both weaponry.

Ah, it wasn't often that he had the opportunity to test his might against other players. When the chance arose Creature would heed the call to battle. He'd put on his armor while waiting but it didn't take long for @Zelrius to retrieve his blades. With a greatsword in hand he tried to anticipate the opening move. But before he knew it his opponent was in his face and the two swords had landed a clean hit.

So fast! So this was the power of the <<Tablebreaker>>! Creature was impressed, but was determined not to make things so easy! After all, what would be the fun in that?

His eyes would shift from their usual brown to a bloody crimson. He'd hoped Hyper Sense would make tracking his opponents movements a simpler task. Using the recoil from the sustained blow, he'd spin on his heel. The large blade he wielded swept close in a 360 degree, horizontal arc intent on biting the blonde man at his waist.

Zelrius was astounded by the way the armored up, and greatsword wielding @Creature could somehow move the large sword with ease. Just barely getting his twin blades into the opening, before the large slab of steel came crashing around in a rotund arc, and hitting the blonde adventurer directly. A quick, painful slash across his chest and along one arm that Zelrius was far too slow to dodge, having not been ready at all for the return strike. In fairness, a stupid underestimation based on no fact. Of course a warrior like this would return his attack to someone directly in front of him. That was... almost the point of the whole thing.

He gritted his teeth, the <<Tablebreaker>> backing up and away from the <<Tablebreaker Hitter>>, and looking for another opening to go for. Deciding instead of getting close that he'd merely extend his hand out, palm wide open, his thumb folded over the edge of the pommel. "Burn!" He commanded his magic, sending forward a flare of red and orange flame in hopes of engulfing his opponent in the searing heat for an easy hit.

"AAAAH!"

The flames had spread so fast and with such intensity he couldn't help but be burned before the soul shield could be cast. Who knew that this would turn into a magical fight as well. Things were not looking good.

Guess we're switching to magic then! He thought.

Through grit teeth Creature covered his face and was just barely withstanding the flames thanks to his own spirit magic. If this continued for much longer he would likely lose the match. Using whatever composure he had left, he'd raise his right hand in the shape of a finger gun. With one eye cracked and his impromptu weapon aimed at @Zelrius, spirit energy gathered at the tip before being fired like a bullet.

He couldn't believe the fire worked. The shout of pain made his arm lower for a moment, and take a step forward. Worried that he had actually harmed his sparring partner. That was, until the flames dissipated and Zelrius could see the faint, white wisps of soul magic having blocked his attack, thanks to the Magical sight given to him by the game. The catboy immediately braced, realizing he had let his guard down mid fight, and ate a speeding projectile of that spirit bagic straight to the chest. One would think, that can't possible be painful, and they'd be wrong. It his square in his chest, his hand immediately followed it clutching the point of contact and sending the man wheezing. As well as stumbling a few steps back. It knocked the air out of him, made his eyes roll and blind for a moment. "Aghh, owwww." He let out rather childishly after a moment, breath heavy as it returned in gasping breaths.

Instinct took over instead, his heart now racing with the combat. Adjusting his grip on his two weapons to counter attack, legs moved forward without conscious command, looking to use his moment to slide forward, and stab at the man repeatedly. To use the reach of his weaponry to close the distance before the all too inevitable counter attack could be placed. Hoping to end this match before either were too gravely injured.

Creature had tried to brace for the next attack but was unable to avoid the flurry of strikes from his opponent's blade. After taking a clean cut he retreated backward, raising both his palms and releasing a heavy sigh.

"I yield."

Luck really wasn't on his side today. All around there were players who were more skilled and better equipped to deal with combat than him it seemed. Rather than be upset about the outcome though he would use this defeat as a lesson.

"The victory is yours. I hope we can spar again someday. Just know I won't make things so easy next time."

He'd say before going off to search for a healer. Now more than ever he wished for more power. In this world he would become a folk hero and a living legend.
