"Negative - This unit has full confidence that Kyanna will do no such thing."

MAI's response was pretty quick and to the point. She was not one to tease, almost ever. So whenever that seemed like the case, it was more accidental than anything. Either way, she let the witch work in peace and without any further interruptions. Something that proved well worth the while in just a few moments.

As Kyanna announced the end of her work, MAI would intently stare at whatever mirror was available to her, occasionally tilting her head here and there. Even though it wasn't that big of a change, she almost got the same feeling as she had when she first saw a reflection of herself within Terrasphere.

"Confirmation - This unit thinks Kyanna did a fantastic job. It looks very well."

Maybe it was all because the girl never really had a reason to try to have her hair like this. Loose or in a simple ponytail, that was generally how her own hair ended up outside of the game. Inside of the game, there was never any real worry of MAI's long hair getting in the way, either. And now, she had some difficulties stopping herself from constantly looking at her own reflection.

Kyanna laughed at the fact MAI seemed to take her playful retort seriously. She didn't comment on it, however, deciding to leave it be to avoid embarrassment of the magia girl, who was already plenty self-conscious at the fact she was having her hair done and she was wearing an outfit that was unlike anything she had ever put on.

With the confirmation that MAI had liked the work done with her hair, Kyanna smiled, noticing how much her gaze lingered on a mirror.

Resting her hands behind her back, Kyanna leaned down, so much that her chin was barely touching MAI's shoulder, and their cheeks were less than a couple inches away.

"I'd say my model is too lovely to do anything less than fantastic on her." She returned the compliment, side glancing as much as she could to see her friend before giggling and standing straight, taking her hand gently to help her to get back to her feet.

"Now that you are ready, I think it is time for us to enjoy our time, right?" Kyanna asked.

Noticing Kyanna so close so suddenly made MAI look in the other direction, her cheeks flushed red for a brief moment. The witch never seemed to hesitate to get close, which was helping the mechanical girl get used to such things as someone who simply never really experienced people breaking her personal space like that. It was... not a bad thing at all. At least in this instance.

With the small help, the Magia stood back up, her composure regained, if slightly shaken as she tried to still get used to walking around in such unique clothes. Well, perhaps it was not too different from wearing a slightly tighter dress, but she didn't exactly get to wear all that many of those, either.

"Thank you."

She wanted to say at least that much properly when she was praised so much. But while she loved the idea of hanging out with Kyanna even more, there was a tiny bit of worry inside of her that she still had to address.

"Query - Is it really alright to spend this much time with this unit. Kyanna's friends might still be around, waiting for her."

Kyanna didn't let MAI's hand go when she had finally got back to her feet, instead, she tugged her friend closer, wrapping her arm around the magia's and looking at her with a grin. "You are welcome, but it looks like you are having a bit of trouble, eh?" She giggled, looking at MAI with a warm expression, that slowly shifted into a raising brow.

"What do you mean is it alright?" Kyanna looked at MAI, letting out a brief chuckle.

"There are no friends waiting for me. I'm with my friend right here." She tugged the magia a bit, for emphasis, and to make it clear she was talking about her.

"I've already spoken with them what I had to speak, and they are probably gone doing something else. It is our time now." Kyanna chirped, gently guiding MAI to the exit, where they would fare against a much shorter line to the blessing, something that would hopefully make it easier for the magia to move on.

"Rebuttal - This unit is just not used to walking in clothes like these, it will be fine soon enough."

It wasn't like she was trying on boots with high heels for the first time. Few steps, and it would be fine. Although... she couldn't rightly say that she disliked how Kyanna hung around her arm. If anything, it almost made it feel like the two of them were on a date. MAI shook her head briefly as she tried to keep her thoughts from wandering too much, although the witch's further response might have made the Magia's speech circuits malfunction for a second.

"I-I see."

But it all quickly returned back to normal.

"Explanation - This unit thought that Kyanna merely excused herself for a short while to greet this unit and would have returned to the group afterward."

Looking down at the ground, she was really glad that it turned out not to be like that. Open places with many people like this one it was just about one of MAI's least favorite things. So if Kyanna had left after the initial greeting, well... the Magia would have probably left without trying any of this.

Yet, now they were in the short line so they could get a blessing. Or at least one of them could. It was still a very new experience.

"Assumption - Kyanna has been here a while, so she has probably already received a blessing?"

"I see, so you are quick to adapt, huh-" Kyanna said, but not even for a moment she considered letting MAI's arm go, instead tugging her a bit closer as they moved on the line. "Nah, I was just chatting a bit with them. In fact, I met them by mere coincidence, just like you." Kyanna explained, brierly shrugging with her free arm.

The line was emptying rapidly, with the last few people being in a hurry, even if Kyanna didn't even give a care for the time passing.

Her attention only shifted to MAI upon being her questioning regarding Kyanna's own blessing, in which she replied with a giggle. "I did, but I wasn't too lucky." She admitted, reminding herself of the mediocre result.

"It gave me a few instructions for how to avoid the bad luck, so I may have to work on it." Kyanna scratched the back of her head, peeking at MAI before facing the temple again, just in time for her friend to pick up her own blessing.

@MAI (You could either roll a blessing like on the event, or you can just make it up!)

Kyanna already had her blessing as was expected. And by the sound of it, her luck wasn't particularly good, either. 'Whether your life will be good or bad is just one big gacha, huh...' That sounded about right. As much as some people liked to put emphasis on things like forging their own path and seizing opportunities, luck was ultimately a massive deciding factor in one's life.

Although, as far as the girl gathered from games and other possibly poor representations of this kind of culture, bad fortunes rarely mattered as there was usually some way to 'counter' them. MAI was already preparing herself for such an outcome when she draw her blessing as the line finally dissipated. Yet, the words that appeared in front of her were completely different from what she imagined.

"Special blessing...?"

The peerless beauty smiles upon you tonight
The moonlight heralds a special greeting
You are kept in her favored delight
This year, you shall see all the fated lines meeting.

The moon smiles upon you this year,
Go in joy for fortune nears.

Your compass points toward Isulus this year.

Carry a Piece of Rare Metal for good luck.
Avoid Vintergard for misfortune.

Kyanna watched eagerly as @MAI reached for her blessing, excited and hoping for her friend that something good would come out of it... And so, it was done. The witch's eyes opened widely, brimming in excitement as she noticed the unique appearance of it.

"That's... That's amazing, Mai!" Kyanna beamed, squeezing the girl's arm with her's, gently tugging her closer.

"The goddess must really like you, it is the best blessing you can get!" A giggle escaped from her lips, joyful for her friend, and how lucky she was to get something so nice right away.

"It is a great way to start the year too, something amazing, really." Kyanna smiled warmly as they walked out of the temple, with her gaze shifting gently toward the eyes of her friend.

"But honestly, the luck started when I found you in here." Kyanna grinned, nudging MAI as she turned to look at the landscape, humming as she enjoyed her friend's presence.

(We can wrap up on your next post, if you want!)

MAI simply stared blankly at the blessing for a while before she regained herself. It wasn't exactly often that she felt lucky, although it wasn't like the stars had abandoned the girl, either.

"Surprise - This is not the outcome this unit has expected."

Of course, these things were often nothing more than the luck of the draw to make people feel a certain way. But, then again, they were in a game. Maybe this goddess really existed here, and this blessing would influence the way TerraSphere interacted with MAI? It was hard to say at the moment. Especially with someone like Kyanna by her side, maybe it was a great act of luck.

"Correction - The luck when you found this unit started for this unit first and foremost."

Yes, she would have spent the New Year alone in this game otherwise. It was just one event, and she wouldn't have felt too bad about it, spending the actual New Year's Eve with her family back in the physical world, but this was still the far more desirable outcome.

"Proposal - Would Kyanna like to explore the Hylands a bit more before leaving? The stars here at night are very pretty."

The shrine might have been emptying, so this was the end of the event... but that didn't necessarily mean that the two girls had to completely part ways just yet, right? MAI did originally come here to study this world's stars, after all. Why not share in such a joy?

As the witch took the lead once more, the magia sneaked one last peak at the special blessing in her hand. 'Misfortune... Vintergard... huh...' Looking back up, she followed her friend out of the area.
