The world had turned into a mess for the last couple months. Distaste for Travelers sentiment has skyrocketed, hostile anti-Magia movements had been occurring relentlessly, which was extra bad when you had three magia friends you cared for, and with everything crumbling down... Well, Kyanna couldn't lie, she was scared, but she had managed to make amendments with those she cared for so far, despite everything...

Except one.

During that whole mess, and with how much corruption was surrounding Magi, it was hard for Kyanna to have a firmer grasp of her. Of course, she could've easily trusted the magic girl to defeat the bad guys and save the day, but it didn't stop the girl from being concerned for her.

Whenever she had finally mustered the courage, however, she used the owl MAI had given to her to send a message to the pinkette. A small invitation, with a very simple request: 'Let's hang out!'. No elaboration aside from time and location.

Without missing a second in or a second out, Kyanna waited patiently, with her witch-y outfit gone and replaced by a far more casual looking dress, and her hair tied just like she did in real life. It helped her to make her feel less adventure-ish and 'magical' at the time, trying to create a immersive reality in a game that pushed the limits of the immersion of fantasy. Truly, a confusing situation, but as soon as her eyes set on the pinkette-

"Magi, hello!" Kyanna chirped, making sure to tackle her with a tight yet caring hug, if the girl didn't dodge, that is.

"It has been a bit, I'm glad to see you actually came." She hummed, resting her hands behind her back and leaning in. "How have you been? Things had been a bit erratic, but a lot of shops are reopening lately!"

Spring has come.

The winter was always hard on people, but the last one was particularly cruel. It was a winter of steel. A winter of chaos and suffering. A winter where, even with the short relief that the New Year offered, revealed Magi Heart's unique little problem to more people than ever before. Usually, she acted alone or with small groups as a tag-along magical girl hero. Her price? Sometimes money, sometimes a little bit of literal soul food, and sometimes the client's life.

To have killed and continued to do so for years. No matter how good-aligned and gentle Wendy may want to be. It would never change what she did now. Only the inkling hope this wasn't really killing. It wasn't players. It was so hard to tell but Magi was sure to use her astral sense as early as she could to check for memories, fates that were tied to a world she barely remembered. That way if Wendel decided they needed to die to save them. Wendy was able to maintain the smallest bit of sanity to push on. Ending anything sentient was wrong... but she used this as her lifeline.

...and now that the knowledge of her condition is out. How long before someone acts on it? How long before SHE is in Szofrit's place? exploding into slimy tentacles? It was already bad enough that dissonance didn't even gross her out anymore. When she evoked she just saw the strange distortions to her dress and body when Wendel went wild as just another thing...That was probably bad. Magi already had a hunter after her as well. Magi had been chased throughout Tertoria having winded up there after the prism explosion. The explosion that ended Tenebres Cordis the early form of Wendel that Vermillion controlled. Allowing Wendel to be her own creature and Wendy to slowly regain normal-ish senses.

Considering all of THAT. It made the message from Kyanna that much nicer!

Wendy rushed to the location specified as soon as she received it. Any chance to feel normal. To feel human was important to her. As for Wendel, she didn't care for the activities herself, but she did want to talk to Kyanna again. She cared for her like she cared for everyone. Anyone who actively tried to be her friend would deserve to be saved immediately when they needed it! Considering the girl's temperament... that probably wasn't going to be too long

"Kyanna! Hiiii! A little birdie told me you'd be here!!"

"*Giggle* Yep. and so here I am! Magi Heart is here to save the day by hanging out♥!"

Wendy's cringe at just how disgustingly corny Wendel made that sound was plain as day. Having your dark side(?) learn what you act like and just use it whenever it wants is a really embarrassing thing sometimes...

"Um.. so where do you wanna go?!"

Kyanna giggled at Magi's words, humming and shaking her head. "Oh, these birdies love to gossip! I'm glad it told you, because I wanted to see you again." She clasped her hands together, widening a smile even more when it was exclaimed the day would've been saved.

"You are sure going to save the day. Just your smile is already making it so much better." The witch nodded eagerly, turning to gesture for where she wished to go.

"I wanted to do a lot of things... Go to a clothing shop or a tailor to do some window shopping or even buying some stuff. It would be great to hear your opinion, because these clothes you have look so wonderful on you! I'm sure you could fetch something nice to me as well." She grinned.

"And after that, I need some seedlings and flowers for my future witch hut-"

She swirled, taking a couple steps away from the pinkette and opening her arms widely, beaming with excitement:

"And finally, visiting a café, so we can catch up on a lot of things!" Kyanna exclaimed as her eyes sparkled, soon starting to walk, urging Magi to go along with her, unless she was halted in some way.

Wendy was happy to see the hug was not painful to Kyanna this time around. So it was probably based on whatever her body was going through during the battle that caused it. Good... she can still touch people then.

While similar in mental age, Magi could have seen Kyanna in a big sister-like light if they had met earlier. Funny enough, Raina was pretty tomboyish at times, so their activities weren't quite like this. Raina being from a higher social class than Wendy also didn't help that. Back then.. money was never really a thought Wendy would have. Once you are on your own in a fantasy world, it suddenly became more important. Ironic that.

Okies! I haven't gone shopping in a while eheh. Luckily I have some money!"

Magi held a small pink travel bag on her shoulder. While her clothes were normal the bag was a part of her astral evoke. Not having a UI meant she had to manage life like a lander, BUT having an astral purse helped! Sometimes the stuff gets lost though.... space is a complicated thing.

"Hmmm I can't buy too much. I don't stay in one place. So, I um...."

"I'm what you call, you know. By now you do know don't you, Kyanna-chan? So I can't settle down anywhere or I'll get in trouble. It starts wit-"

"Maybe I can find a present for Seigi too! Let's go shopping for....stuff!"

Wendy cut Wendel off to avoid unnecessary drama. It was time for Magi Heart or more like the girl that played Magi to try her best to be normal today!

Going shopping for clothes? Foods? presents? ...so normal. Hopefully, it will stay that way.

Kyanna turned to look at Magi as her words seemed to almost sour the mood... A small smile crossed her lips, taking her friend's hand and brightening up. She didn't say a word about it, but her gaze and her warm expression spoke enough. She didn't mind it.

A soft squeeze on the hand made it clearer. She wasn't going to let her go just because of it.

"That's a neat purse you have. You need to teach me that!

"Seigi is a lucky one~" She giggled. "She is that girl that was with you last time, right? Are you two good friends?" She asked, nearly tugging Magi along, unless she halted Kyanna or struggled against it.

... With her hurry as they exchanged a few words, it didn't take long for them to near a tailor shop that Kyanna stepped into without a hint of hesitation, almost like a child rushing into their home.

The shop was cozy and bright, with beautiful designs of dresses scattered on the walls, manequins with some of their works being shown, that ranged from the real world fashion to this fantasical and whimscal one, with magitech sewing machines doing the work that hands couldn't do so quickly.

"Xiiin! I got a cute customer for you!" She exclaimed. "Well. Two, because I'm also cute." She proclaimed with confidence.

The exclamations of the girl echoed into the cozy shop, surprising a trainee seamstress prickle her finger with a yelp, while a gentle looking beastfolk turned to look at the trainee, that gave him a reassuring look while sucking her finger.

"Greetings, Kyanna... It is nice to see you again, with a friend even." He smiled softly. "... But truly, you need to halt these loud introductions." A brief sigh escaped his lips.

Shopping!

Magi made a thoughtful look when Kyanna commented on her purse. Like any good magic user. The witch was able to tell it wasn't normal even though Magi hadn't mentioned it.

"It's like, um, taking a little bit of mana and just keeping it at your side for a long time. I don't really know where the other side of the bag is... It's like a little pocket that holds things. Sometimes those things aren't there when I need them *giggle*. It works like when I summon my bow! ...I think. Maybe I can store a mushroom for you and show you how it works that way? One time I put a sick bunny in it and it...uh..."

Magi was more a magic prodigy than a magic expert so her powers and abilities went over her own head as much as those around her. A trait shared with Seigi Ling Ling, but in later case it was the fighter's unrelenting heroic fist.

"Seigi? Yep! Seigi is a very close friend. We've known each other since we were kids. We went to the same school!"

"and we're both dead.... er maybe. Neither of us can leave. Go back to that thing? Real life."

Magi was easily dragged into a shop the Starfallen Savior had never seen before. Then again, she tried to make any stops to populated cities like Finweald brief ones. So maybe she just missed it.

"Wowzers. You don't want her to be happy? It's hard enough isn't it?"

Wendel said passive-aggressively to the beastfolk's scolding of Kyanna.

"...but that's not a problem because everything's cool beans eheheheh! No worries!"

"Kyanna-chan admitting she's cute. Narcissistic witchy *giggle*. People persons are all the same."

Magi pulled herself away from causing trouble and glanced over the store's wares. Her hand went to her cheek as she thought about what Seigi would want.

"Gee whiz ...her arms are always so bandaged up. Maybe some nice gloves would be good? They'd have to be pretty long..."

Choosing to buy something for Seigi before anything or anyone else was partially in Wendy's good nature but also motivated by the obsessive tendencies of Wendel. To put Seigi above the girl which she was with right now for example. Perhaps a little rude. Spending enough time with her would make that unhealthy aspect of the magical girl and sunset sage's relationship more apparent. Sooner or later.
