Personality
This absolute unit of a farmer has a rather laid back personality, as long as you don't harm his crops or bees. His love for his delicious produce and cute bumbling buddies knows no bounds. He cares for few others more than his bees and crops, even to such a degree that he has a hard time keeping a girlfriend around. "What's more important, me or your bees!?" is a question he has heard many a time.
He knows the answer--his girlfriend, obviously. None of them have ever believed him.
He spends all his money, from selling his produce, to improve his produce. He never has money to fill his tractor with gas, and as such has made a habit of walking into town. He now even refuses when offered a ride--his honor would never allow him to make use of an inferior vehicle (such as a minivan).
Given his circumstances, he currently goes through multiple girlfriends a year. Each time he tells himself that this girl is the one, but, with each turn of the revolving door of his relationship status, he believes it less and less. He doesn't understand where he is going wrong; he truly believes he is trying his best but that his best is never enough. His best may never be enough.
Positive: hardworking, has a tractor, has a code of honor, hopless romantic
Negative: terrible at communicating, too attached to his produce and bees, bad with money
Background
Robert is the latest in a long line of farmers. Like his father before him, his duty is that of tending the land and feeding the people. He was born in the state of California, his father's farm grew avocado after avocado. Day after day the avocado trees were his intellectual nourishment.
From the trees he learned many things--like the fact that the avocado industry was entirely unsustainable and had part in the droughts of his home state. He also learned however of the power of the land itself. Like a great primal magic, the earth could summon forth life, so long as one knew the ancient tried and true ways to coax out the power dormant within the soil.
Of course, magic is not real, merely a passion of a young man. He did however learn to make use of the land, and he also learned how to live in harmony with the natural world.
When his father retired, Robert decided to make a change. He sold the farm, and moved to Alaska, where he built up a homestead. Using his knowledge of the soil, he grew his most delicious of produce within a perfect greenhouse filled with cute bumblebees.
His life was becoming perfect, except for one thing. Mr. Brown could not find a wife. How would his descendants carry on his secret farming arts, if he had not a single child? How would he keep a romantic partner, when they all refused to believe he found them more valuable than anything else? These were questions Robert didn't like to think about; they always threw doubt upon the purpose of everything he was doing, of everything he had accomplished.
With little more options left, he decided to turn to Terrasphere. He had found rumors of couples who had found each other through the game, and hoped that he might find his own soulmate within this virtual world. Surely his missing half would likewise be desperate to find him, maybe she too would have turned to these rumors?
