Since the fall of the Kurungaar Mother boss, Nero has been hanging out at Camp Nisus. He spent all of his gaming time helping with menial tasks like unloading supplies and patching up the stake fence. His goal was to connect with more experienced players, who might be able to help him on his personal quest in the future.

As someone whose build revolves entirely around powering skills with expendable magical rocks, Nero's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw the Jade Jaguar being pinned up on the bounty board. Nero buzzed around the bounty board inspecting the ugly-drawn picture of the animal at all angle, making sure that it really was a jaguar made of jade. Once he had confirmed that his eyes and reading skills were, in fact, not deceiving him, the brunette snatched a paper from the board with excitement stoking a fire in his eyes. How powerful will the jade be if he were to use it as fuel for his gauntlet? Nero asked himself as his eyes pingponged back and forth from his golden gauntlet to the bounty paper.

The next order of business was to find others who would party with him.

H-hey! Did you know that, uhm, jade is a very rare mineral? And, uh, this jaguar is completely composed of it, supposedly.

How about you join me to find one that we can split, and uh, study or sell or whatever?

The brunette stood near the bounty board and awkwardly reached out to random people, who, in return, would wave their hand awkwardly as they either completely out-ranked him or were already in a party. Many of the passing adventurers seemed keen to tackle the extreme variants as well, which could easily demolish him by just looking at him.

Hey gang @Wolfe @Tyr @Bonnie Bonbon and welcome to our cool lil bounty run. We're gonna do things a little bit different than other groups because I like to be extra. Anyways, just follow my lead and you guys will be alright! If you don't like a particular mechanic or are confused by it, let me or Mina (Bonnie's player) know. We'll gladly help y'all out with any questions y'all might have.

So, Cycle 1, we're gonna begin with a little team building exercise. Everyone needs to make a Fate Gacha roll to see how strongly our characters gravitate toward one another, the closer we are numerically, the better. I'll discuss what that means in future cycles. For now, let's just do ?r 1d4 # Fate Gravitation | Name | 1061C1

We don't need a Play Sheet Link until we enter combat, which might be C2 or C3!

In truth, Jae had been struggling to integrate himself into the game beyond the nigh-game wide event prior. Any time he'd log on, he was plastered with the attention of players or NPC's, beckoning further into the role-play aspect, dragging him every which way to be a part of their world. Not exactly what he signed up for, and it pressured him out of the headset a handful of times, desiring competitive play, not house play; especially with the uncomfortable, yet persistent robotic dialogue he was forced into sporadically throughout his time in game.

The weekend was here, however, and he was determined to take another crack at it. As passive as he was when it came to new games, Jae was pretty assertive when it came time to crack down on those skills, and he had dragged Ambrose online to go on and 'get good' at this game.

We're skipping past all these bullshit therapy and construction quests, we'll work on crafting skills or whatever those level after we max out.

Was that how the game worked? He just assumed, he'd play so many games that it took awhile for him to actually invest time into learning the nuances.

Call it dumb luck or fate, as suddenly some meek figure in the distance waved the exact sort of bounty he was interested in.

Jae went up to engage the man before Tyr came alive with the flaring of his two golden orbs for eyes.

Human male, agile frame, 172.72 centimeters tall. Male possesses a gauntlet-type weapon, and medium armor, approximation is offensive build. Scanning database for information on: Jade Jaguar. Scanning.... Scanning... No records of Jade Jaguar found. Jade: Ornate mineral typically used for decoration and jewelry. Chemical composition is NaAlSi₂O₆. Jaguar: Panthera-class mammal native to the forests of Central and South America.
.

He came to with his eyes dimming a bit more, and finally shrugged and shaking off the experience with an agitated grumble,

I mean, yeah sure. We'll join."

Within the boundaries of the game world, Wolfe eagerly strolled towards the center board with an eager glint shadowing his eye. Tyr, too, had reached out to him in a collective effort to get something going and he wasn't one to deny opportunity a chance. Though his social meter perhaps lacked in one way or another, he stood in earshot of a casual fellow that beckoned others to lend a hand. And whilst he nearly fell in with the populous that kept it moving, the more hyperactive Tyr engaged with the fellow that forced him to fall into the mix.

Wolfe stood near enough to hear the 'We'll join' wet his allies throat and consequently nodded his head in support. Tyr stood as the more vocal of the two. But with the thought that jade would be of plush monetary value, Wolfe urged himself to recoil from his shell.

That is, if you'll have us of course. We're not exactly experts, but we should be decent enough to pull our weight.

He didn't want to rush to conclusions and placed a short pause to allow the fellow (Nero) to decide whether or not they fit their modus operandi.

The name's Wolfe.

‘Ugh…’ Believe it or not, people died when they were killed, and though that statement could be contested in the mechanisms of this game, one thing’s for sure — dying sucked. In Terrasphere, the consequences of reaching the end of the line were tangible even after your avatar’s life began anew.

The lone blonde wandered back into the camp after a long trip back from the nearest spawn point, tormented by the humming in her mind.

Though it stopped after the hustle and bustle of people came to life around her thanks to the ongoing camp reconstruction efforts, every time one of the explorers blew their whistle in the distance, she could hear her voice again. And it called not for her avatar’s name, but her real one. The weeping visage flashed in the back of her mind, until she promptly shook her head, the hair drills adorning it bouncing slightly.

‘Ain’t this a kick in the head…’ she groaned to herself, wandering towards the board. Surely, there was plenty to do after the end of the expedition. And if anything, she just wanted to put a stop to all the ringing and voice-calling within her noggin’.

In her somewhat dazed state, Bonnie ended up lightly bumping on Wolfe, who had seemed to have just reasoned his worth and introduced himself.

‘Y’all lookin’ greener than the grass we’re standin’ at, tho...’ she blurted out without thinking, shaking her head once more.

‘My bad. That ain’t somethin’ I shoulda said.’ She got a hold of herself with a deep sigh, glancing at Nero and Tyr, ‘I ain’t the best out there either, but if yer still lookin’ for someone, I’m up for it.

Name’s Bonnie, Bonnie Bonbon.

Despite how awkward it was, Nero's outreach seemed to land him a party of three, two of which seemed to know each other. The more, the merrier, the youth thought to himself.

Hey, my name is Nero, uh, I have some information that might be of interest. Uh, we can talk more about it, but first...

Nero balled his hand into a fist before releasing it to bring up the palm menu where he targeted the three for a party invitation.

Party

Nero has invited you to join their party.

Afterward, he signaled them to follow him off the main road away from the bustling camp.

So, uh, I'm looking to get strong as soon as possible and for that and combat seems to be the fastest way to get there. I was just cleaning up around camp earlier when I heard that another group had a sighting of a Gold Jaguar. I don't know how legit that is, but I saw that their informant had a golden tooth.

It all sounds like hogwash, but I know a thing or two about archeology and geology, I can definitely tell you guys that it was real. If there is a Gold Jaguar, we're gotta strike some riches.

The only catch is that we have to find them and possibly race them to find it. If you guys are up for it, let's get to work and catch up to that group. They went this way... I think.

OOC
If you agree to pursue the Gold Jaguar, make an Expertise or Mastery Check (DC 50) to find and catch up to the group that is pursuing the creature by talking to people, reading the environment, or via some kind of tracking skill. If you fail, consider your attempt eating up a lot of time with no pay off.

Everyone whose Fate Gravitation matches gains a +5 bonus per person who roll that number. Something pulls @Tyr @Wolfe @Bonnie Bonbon together +15 to all your rolls when you work together and include each other in your post. Nero gets a +5 when he does the same.

The longer you spend on this task, the closer the rival group will be getting to the Gold Jaguar. Better hurry, Travelers!

He wasn't afforded much room to return the greeting before a party menu materialized before him; one in which he promptly accepted, thus throwing him out of his already-established party with Wolfe. A feature he wished most games possessed versus having to disband the former party manually before being able to take another invitation. By the time the box disappeared, he was looking at a shorter female character also digging into the offer, though her voice and mannerisms were present long before his view of her:

Tyr. So, what're the details?

While he wasn't necessarily in any rush, the immediacy that Nero spoke with seemed to spur him into a business-like state as well.

Looking for a Golden Jaguar was a point that he wanted to contest, as the quest was geared around jade jaguars, but he'd hold his tongue for now as Nero continued to rattle out the more gritty details of the situation. Truthfully, it all seemed like hearsay from some new players that stumbled upon a forum post or two. His eyes glanced towards Bonnie to judge if this was all credible:

Sounds simple enough. We waiting for more members, and can I start looking now?

Leave the chit-chat for latter, and already were his magia lenses zooming between the various targets around him, scanning any details that reflect the description given. Jae wasn't actually sure if he was better at this or not, but pretending he was at least made him feel a little bit more in character.

It seemed that in the ebb and flow of the world's continuity, Wolfe managed to feel the slight bump of another waltzing about at his back. Contorting his neck, he managed to catch sight of a smaller blonde with alarming blues as the woman confidently and audibly examined them. He wasn't taken aback by the green comment. In fact, his focus glued all the more to her even after Bonnie registered it wasn't the best of introductory statement. However honesty, no matter how sharp, was always appreciated and in turn he gave the fellow adventurer a brief smile.

But with the congregation of the four, he terminated his own party as he consequently leaped into Nero's group. And under their new party leader's advisement, the trio followed eagerly whilst listening to his assessment of the ongoing situation.

Sounds intriguing. Bonnie. What's your hunch on this? Nero pulling our leg on this one too?

The half-joke paraded itself as Wolfe declared Bonnie their investigator. She stood correct about their greenery, and though it may have been a front, he wasn't against giving her a longer leash until the coin landed on the wrong side. Yet not too long before she could respond, his eyes noticed a faint pattern of knocked over stands and items, indicating someone had rushed through here presently. The huff and puff of the NPCs reassembling their shop was an indicator that something passed through in a rush. Something that foamed at the mouth at the attractiveness of gold.

Would it be too big of a hunch to presume they ran this way?

Wolfe walked over the wares and began to make small talk with the vendors as he helped picked up an item or two. After a second or so, he turned to look back at the group with a thumb pointing upwards to express he may have been right.
