She turned his face to look at her. Although almost 18 years old, she still looked closer to 15. A face that belonged to a girl that would believe everything just worked out. Now pale, grayed, and with an eye that was as black as the nightmarish things it had seen.
She was going to push him into the next attack. Let him die. Heck, the flames here alone could do that for her. She had no longer the power to heal, for years it caused the wounds of targets to worsen. For that was true healing. A hasty death.
What about hope?
Not the camp.
Actual hope?
Isn't that what fuels you for a happy end?
Wendel's hand was grasping the boy tightly and black energy crept over him. She would use her dissonance, she would ensure even his soul died. He would be safe and no longer a pitiful person like this. She cared for this soul. Save him forever!
Hope says he will live.
