Finweald, 2:00 PM-
Backstage Tents.

The stage was nothing to scoff at, despite being built in less than a day. Large enough to harbor at least five actors all at once with plenty of space left for props an the scenery itself. The Landers were all a working bunch, in cooperation with fellow Starcalled that lend a hand here and there. Including herself, as manual labor had never been a problem for the elf.

The real issue came afterwards, as a dramatic yet genuine scream followed behind the large curtain of the stages, and one of their promising stars had twisted an ankle, leaving the kid's show at the edge of cancellation, and prompting them to search for a new talent to fit the role.

...

"I was expecting something else..." Fiora sighed, glancing over to the outfit she was wearing on her own little tent, each actor/tress given their own little tent to set themselve

s up. Why not just pile them up in one large tent? Well, privacy, she guessed. Not everyone was a professional artist here or used to the idea, and some playing roles were players.

Mirrors and chairs were most of what was supplied, as they kept things to a bare minimum, except for some candles to grant some light at least.

She hurried herself off the tent instead, passing through the glances of the few who noticed her, the area had been contained to pretty much keep it away from sight from the public eye, strolling towards the one tent whose owner she had taken a peek at earlier- Of course, the only familiar face here that could have even the minimum idea of how to act out their play, the self-proclaimed elven princess herself:
"Hey Caey I'm going in!" She warned before stepping into the tent, pushing the curtains aside to make her presence known. "Be sincere, is this really alligator enough?" She spread her arms, giving the pinkette a good look, the fake tail dragging all over the floor once she slowly turned.

The pinkette looked into the mirror that was in front of her. She was trying to do something about her long pink hair. She was just informed that she was now participating in the entertainment act instead of being part of the audience. It was rather exciting but at the same time, she just wanted to watch a show and not be in it. The outfit she was given looked like it came out of a circus. It was a dress that was split into two colors of red and white. The dress was to give off the illusion of a ring leader apparel. A black fluffy skirt that was short to show off her long slender legs. The top showed off a fake jacket when in fact it was attached.

"Come on in!" She raised her voice for Fiora to come in and join her. She put on her shot wrist length gloves and looked at the top hat sitting on the desk. "This is too much work for a small fragment of the show." She sighed and turned around to get her shoes on when she saw her friend appear. "Fiora! Oh my goodness you look so cute!" Caelynn laughed and got up and went over to her to give her a good look over. "I'll be honest you are by far the most fierce alligator I've ever seen. Probably the friendliest too." She shook her head and went back over to her seat.

"I need to do something about my hair. It's annoying me today especially if I have to act the part as an animal tamer. Might as well look good and be able to see what I'm doing." She began the process of putting on her shoes which laced up over her ankles. "Then I have a top hat too which I know completes the ensemble but I'm nota fan of hats in the least." Once she got her boots on, she turned around and looked at the other female. "So what do you think of me so far?"

Their initial reaction caught Fiora a little off-guard, blinking as Caelynn closed the gap between them. "You think so? I feel like I'm the dumbest alligator alive like this. But it's for a kid's show so I guess anything too real would scare them off. I even put on a fake eye for this." She shrugged, scratching a little at her nape as she tagged along once the other went back to her seat.

"Well I can help you with your hair if you want. Just depends on how you'll prefer I do it." Fiora rested the palm of her hands on the chair's backrest, glancing over to the dreaded, colorful top hat that Cay would have to put on, holding off on a chuckle with a smile on her lips instead. Taking a step back, the elf started to appraise the ring leader, tilting to one side and the other to gauge every detail of her costume.

"You look adorable. It just fits you perfectly." She hummed, reaching out for the top hat and quickly putting it on Cay, squinting her eye as an amused smirk reached onto her features. "Yeup, you look stunning. Let's get your hair done for the show though. I think it's one of your best assets, so might aswell make it shine." Fiora commented, standing behind the chair once again and gesturing over for her to take a seat.

"Seems like the play is about a legendary ringleader and a fictional alligator of sorts..? It really looks like something a Lander wrote about our world. How do you feel about performing in public, huh?"

The pinkette wasn't sure how she felt about the costume or what her own thoughts were. It was a bit of help to hear from Fiora that she liked it and thought it looked good on her. This sort of outfit wasn't really her style. Maybe when she was a little girl wanting to be in a circus but that was then and this is now. Of course Fiora's words rang true. This was for the kids they would be performing for. They had to really act it out and make it seem like everything was real. Caelynn looked at the alligator costume she had on and couldn't help but chuckle at her. "If I encountered you in the wild, I would most definitely take pictures and probably give you some kind of unique name."

A laugh came from her lips as she headed over to sit in the chair taking up the other's offer of having her hair be done. "It doesn't matter what you do. That!" She exclaimed and pointed at the hat. "Has to stay on my head." The elf sighed and put her head down. "Why does the outfit even call for a hat anyway? I don't wear hats and I don't really care for them." Yes she was pouting a little bit but that was just the way she was. Caelynn would be a good sport in the end. Shrugging her shoulders, she looked down. "It is a rather weird story. When I think of ringleaders working with animals a lion or a bear come to mind. Never an alligator. But I guess we should try everything at least once. I'm just grateful that you're not a real alligator and I don't have to worry about you mauling me mid show." She laughed a bit and shrugged her shoulders once more.

"I've never really performed for anyone or participated in shows growing up. I mean I did cheerleading in high school but I didn't do the dances for the half time breaks. I couldn't dance!" She was quiet for a moment and sighed. "Actually I can dance cause I took dancing lessons but I didn't know how to do that kid of dancing they did. Anyway this will be the first time I do any type of show. So if I fail....Laugh at me later." She went to move her head then remembered she didn't want to mess Fiora up as she returned her head to its original position. "What about you? Have you performed in public before?"
