Ronja's eyes flickered as she peered around the plants with her Investigation Mode turned on.

It was fairly intriguing, but as soon as she activated her Magitech mastery, it seemed like far more information than usual appeared before her eyes, albeit some information seemed to be locked behind some sort of level requirement. The blurred information glitched, becoming incomprehensible for Ronja's eyes, making her squint while wondering what to do with it.

At some point, her eyes hovered around, eventually settling to focus on a foreign-looking plant.

❰ Azuroot ❱

The name of the plant popped up, with a few of its values and utilities popping up in a small window that tried to summarize the most important information about it.

"Bittersweet..." Ronja muttered to herself, tilting her head. "... Healing properties at low dosage... Overdose risk at medium to high dosage." There was a lot to take into account when it came to this particular plant. It seemed so useful, yet kinda dangerous to use it. There was a lot of missing information in her Investigation Mode too, even though it was enhanced.

Not entirely knowing where he was going, Yarrow continued to wander the greens of Eastern Brisshal. Every mile or so, he'd tap into a tree or a patch of grass and use his Hyper Sense to connect with the area around him. It was a "poetic" decision of his to elect to be a walking automation that can connect with nature, one that gives Yarrow's player hope for his own future endeavors.

At this particular juncture, Yarrow decided to tap into a weed, to see if he could see through the weeds offspring that would have grown well around it. As he did this, he took in the scenery of the surrounding forest floor, a nearby river, and... a very strange flower. He wasent sure what this flower was, which isn't impressive anyway, as there are numerous plants that Yarrow dosent know jack shit about. But this one seemed different... exotic even, defiantly worth checking out. However, he sensed something else... feet? He still hasn't figured out how to discern things that aren't part of the natural environment. Either way, a cautious approach would likely be best.

Yarrow approached the area, and as he did, he noticed a figure standing over what he thinks is the flower

Oh good, it's just another player. No cause for alarm. Maybe they know what the flower is.

As Yarrow began to approach, his attunement to his surroundings clearly skipped a beat as his foot get stuck under a root hovering just above the ground, tripping over it, and scratching his head onto a low hanging branch, before finally colliding with the ground not 100 feet from the stranger.

OOF.... Uh... hieeeee....

Ronja was startled when a sudden 'thud' caused her to jump off her feet, making her struggle momentarily as she turned spot who it was.

Turned out it was a man, all flat and scattered on the ground like a corpse that was only distinguishable from one thanks to whatever the noise that was escaping from his lips was. "Oh dear, oh no-" Ronja fidgeted with her metal feet, making a brief 'clank clank' together when they accidentally poked each other, being quickly ignored as Ronja darted off to crouch next to him.

"Hey, hey! Are you alright? Can you listen to Ronja?" She asked, supporting her weight on her knee as she tilted her head.

"That sounded like a nasty fall. Ronja couldn't see it, so she can't know where you could have harmed yourself-- If you could tell her." Ronja was already trying to get the man some aid, clenching her fist shut and then opening it to create a brief hole on the palm of her hand.

As Yarrow slowly opens his eyes from his fall, he sees the face a blue haired woman looming over him. Studying her face, he noticed the the flickering in her eyes, indicating that she is also artificial, like him.

I think I sprained my ankle

Try again Tin Man

I MEAN I think I severed the servo motor from my.... leg

Yarrow tried to sit up, but his attempted description must have not been too far off as he found his "servo motor" had difficulty actuating his foot. As such he only got as far as a seated position

Arg! Well that looks like it could use a fix. What's that in your hand there?

Ronja's eyes widened for a moment at the reveal, but just as quickly as she reacted to the bad news, she frowned at the correction with much more technical words of something far less... Organic?

"Servo... Motor-" Ronja blinked, with her eyes clicking twice as she looked at his leg. Soon, her Investigation Mode alarmed her of the reason for the man's words, highlighting the damage in his biocomponents and biomagitechnological structure. "Oh, you are-!" She quickly managed to put the pieces together, it seemed the man was a Magia just like herself.

A frown crossed her eyes, and she hurriedly tried to shuffle with her had in a pouch.

"Ronja may have something for that." She muttered, ready to put away the plant to pick things up before he questioned about it.

"Huh..? This?" She showed the plant, then looked up at him. "This is an azuroot. Ronja just found it." Ronja said, offering it for him to hold while she tried to get a first aid ready.

Yarrow took the flower from her and looked at it closely. Upon closer study, Yarrow was certain that it was a flower he had never heard about before. It had many drastically different colors and was very stunning to look at.

This is pretty. It's got some really vibrant colors.

As Yarrow is talking, he is also activating his Investigation Menu and the fiber-optic wires that route through his retinas begin to glow a slight yellow glow. Yarrow hasent played with this feature much yet, and, since it is a much simpler version than Ronja's, it only told him a few basic things. He could confirm that the plant's name was Azureroot, and that it supposedly had healing properties.

Strange that such a vibrant plant has such a positive affect, I would have thought it would have been poisonous. Oh well, when in Video Game Land.....

Armed with this new (albeit limited) information, Yarrow snapped off a couple of leaves and stuck them in his mouth.

(With leaves in mouth) You know I thought a plant this colorful would be bad for you, but I suppose not. I wonder if this stuff just heals you like that or if I'll feel it at all..... It's also like... really bitter.

Thankfully, Yarrow took the Aquired Taste feature to know hiw things taste.... if only he didn't suddenly feel a little...off.

"It sure does, Ronja supposes if we try to brew this into a tea or someth-" Ronja then interrupted her words, pausing while looking at the man simply shoving the plant into his mouth without a second thought, making her eyes grow wide. "R-Ronja would be careful if she were you, this plant can be poisonous if consumed in excess!" She warned, looking at him worriedly with her eyes clicking.

When he mentioned the plant tasting bitter, Ronja paused once again, frowning and looking at him carefully.

"Wait... Aren't you a Magia? You can taste things?"
Ronja asked, greatly confused and leaning in closely, frowning and looking at his eyes attentively.

It was impossible to mistake it, he was a Magia for sure!

"How do you taste it? Ronja can't taste anything at all! She can only feel the texture of all these fun-looking foods and can't feel a thing of its taste, just of its smell." Ronja puffed her cheeks, crossing her arms. Why another Magia could feel taste? That was unfair!

Poison..... OH boy... that explains the light funny feeling. I only had 2 leaves!? Is that a high dosage!?

Yarrow had already swallowed the leaves, and upon hearing the word "poison" he began to lock up a bit in a fit of anxiety.

Fighting through what may be a slight overheating of his positronic neural network possibly due to the plant, Yarrow thought about his Acquired Taste feature.

OH yeah! Magia can't taste things, but I wanted to work with the plants and see what I could learn. Thought being able to taste them might be helpful, so I gave myself the ability to taste things! Thought it might help. Too bad you can't taste poison... I don't think

Yarrow looked out the the world I'm front of him with a worried frown. He just got started and he's already worried he's killed himself. In truth, the anxiety was doing more harm than the plant.

Um...say...while you're at it...you wouldn't happen to have any antitoxons would you..?

"No way, so there is an option for Magias to have a taste? Ronja needs to find the biomagitechnological components necessary for this kind of upgrade, she can't allow herself to not taste anything at all in a world as wonderful as this one!" Ronja said, leaning close and making her wide, camera lens eyes click while she blinked looking at Yarrow, then frowning as she leaned away.

"You... Don't look good at all." She said, pursing her lips worriedly herself. "Uhm- Ronja... Doesn't buy a lot of things, she is kind of poor in this game." A hand reached her nape, rubbing it as she averted her eyes to look at the Azuroot for a moment, with her investigation mode open before she cast a glance at Yarrow, eventually nodding firmly and determined.

She reached for one of the leaves, quickly sticking it on her tongue and starting to munch it, already feeling the toxins trying to invade her body, but--

Her eyes clicked, peering at the azuroot with her Investigation Mode activated.

... More information was shown!

"O-Okay! Ronja may have a solution!" She rose a finger, reaching for the fellow Magia's arm and tugging him. "Come! We must find water and a place for a campfire quickly, or else..." Ronja showed an awkward smile.

"Ronja is afraid we both will find out what this poison does when at full effect."

After Ronja mentions that she does not buy a lit of things

Oh thats quite alright! I think... I'm sure if I can just relax a little ill be fine, ideally.

A small, awkward silence seemed to pass between them before Ronja reached out and ate one of the leaves. Yarrow began to raise his hand as if to stop her, but decided that she seemed to be testing something and probably knew what she was doing, so he stayed silent. He's not sure what she did, because as soon as she munched down a leaf, her eyes lit with some sort of realization. Yarrow listened to her instructions as she lifted him to his feet. His foot still didn't seem fully functional yet, but this seemed more important. The notion of death by poison was much fresher on his mind. Before they got very far, Yarrow remembered his farsighted capabilities and motioned for them to stop.

Hold on, Hold on. I think I can find some water for us.

Yarrow carefully lowered himself down and placed his hands on the ground. Communing with nature, he began to see the greater area around him.

This way! There's a brook near here.

Yarrow slowly gets back up and begins to limp to the direction of the water, carefully not to bend his foot wrong and snap another cable.

So uh. What's this solution you have in mind?

Ronja watched attentively when Yarrow started working on finding a water source. The finding was quicker than she could ever expect, and quickly they hurried their way, with her eyes sometimes checking his limping, but moving on anyway.

When questioned about the solution, she rose a finger.

"The solution is that according to her Investigation Mode, the poisonous properties of this plant are weakened by heat, while the healing ones are strengthened..!" Ronja said, with her voice lowering from excitement to something slightly strained.

Huh- Everything was sorta blurry now, was that... was that the brook Yarrow was talking about?

The poison was taking effect so quickly. Was it because Ronja's body was much smaller than the average?

"Ronja was thinking that... Maybe tea... should... enough-" The world suddenly felt like it was turning, shifting like she was going for a spin and losing her foot. In reality, she was slowing down and stumbling, nearly losing her balance before her feet finally slipped.

RONJA!

Yarrow quickly turned around as he heard Ronja stumble. With his good foot, he jerked forward in an effort to catch her. He got his arms around her, but with only 1 good foot to support the mass of two automatons, Yarrow lost his balance and the both of them fell forward.

Shit! Come on Ronja, the brook's just ahead.

As he looked at her, he could see the faint lights in her eyes flicker a bit. Yarrow isn't any sort of doctor (or mechanic for this matter) but this seemed like she could be fading. Yarrow took Ronja's arm around his shoulder and helped her up as they both stumbled the rest of the way to water. Once there, Yarrow gently settled her down.

Yarrow knew he didnt have a cup on him to drink from, but after looking around for a moment, he got an idea. Yarrow slowly rose and limped over to the nearset tree, placed his hand on its bark, and tried to picture a small bowl, no bigger than his hands, and as he connected, he asked the tree for one. He didn't have a lot of energy left, but hopefully this was well served. A small section of the tree began to twist and push outward, until a small bowl covered in bark was presented. Yarrow grabbed it, thanked the tree, and tried to hurry back to Ronja.

Okay. First things first. Lets get some water.

Yarrow filled the bowl up, chugged the water for slem quick relief, then filled it up again.

Here, drink, it should maybe help in the very short term. I can grab some sticks, but you wouldn't happen to have a faster way to make any heat would you.

Through these words, Yarrow was panting heavily, sitting and barely holding himself together.

This game feels very terrifying and unpleasant right now!

The impact with the ground never came, and Ronja was grateful to see the other Magia holding her to bring her near the brook. She could barely understand what was going on, but as soon as water was offered, she immediately went for it.

Weakly, she poured the refreshing liquid down her throat, and it temporarily washed away the poison from her system, though that wouldn't be enough to cure her.

"Th... Thank you." She breathed, with her lungs feeling heavy.

"A-Actually, yes. Ronja... Ronja... Can overheat, yes. We... Ronja can overheat with mana." She said, frowning and coughing slightly. "O-Okay, eating that plant... Was a bad idea. But good thing we have a solution..." Ronja tried to support herself.

"Ronja will start... Working on overheating... C-Can you still take the water?" Ronja asked, with her eyes flickering for a moment before starting to glow intensely, with a sound coming from Ronja that would resemble a microwave turned on. A constant clicking came from her as if something was charging up. Meanwhile, her SP was slowly ticking down, but her metallic gloves were starting to have a cyan igneous brightness of pure mana.
