Just in love with Samantha at this point.

3 / 3

"Glad you could make it, hot stuff."

Ayna grinned as she watched @Samantha Yurei approach. She had been raring to spend some alone time with the very attractive pirate lady ever since they met. There was just something about her face, the way she carried herself, that lured Ayna in without much effort. That combination of eye patch and shapely thighs, definitely a product of the daily grind, didn't help. Samantha was like the hot flame of a wicker candle, and Ayna the willing moth.

"Lesson number one in the art of war... I always go first!"

❰ Shifting Expanse ❱

❰ Manifestation of the General ❱

Like Han Solo in that very famous space movie whose title Ayna couldn't remember at the moment, the Beastfolk attacked first with her preferred weapon, a polearm that looked like the lovechild of a naginata and a guandao, though much slimmer and aerodynamic, and also very much charged with lightning magic. She surged forward, taking just one step, and a second later, appearing just a breath away from Samantha, the tip of her spear thrusting straight into her arm. Not here to injure the love of my life. Just to push her back, that's all!

"Thought you'd never ask."

Samantha smiled back as @Ayna Nietzsche reaffirmed the notion that there is something special going on between the two them. Something familiar and exciting, yet still equally as dangerous. She knew better than to let something like this go unnoticed, especially when it is not her taking the lead. But since she very much loves to please, she waited and let the tempting Beastfolk have their way with her first as her smile curled to a suggestive smirk.

❰ Shifting Expanse ❱

❰ Manifestation of the General ❱

"No wai—"

The stupid grin on Samantha's face was suddenly replaced with wide-eyed confusion as Ayna blinked right in front of her. An immediate realization followed as she instinctively raised her wide and heavy double-bladed weapon in front of her and tried defending with it.

However, Ayna's spear still drew a thin streak of blood after the tip glanced through Samantha's parry and managed to hit its intended target.

"Gah! That was fast. You're fast. I just hope you'll last longer than that... My turn."

❰ Retribution ❱

Responding with an attack of her own, Samantha stepped and reared back before swinging her heavy blade wide, almost losing her grip on the handle with the unexpected momentum. Great! That was way worse. Good luck getting laid now, you f*ck.

Pinning her down with spice.

3 / 3

Ayna couldn't help but grin when she heard @Samantha Yurei's innuendo. Or at least she believed it to be one. Who knows? Maybe it was just a slip of her very attractive tongue, an unintentional quip. She wouldn't mind the more mature possibilities of her true meaning, though. Gods know she should definitely get out there and date. Stop nagging me in my head, mom and dad!

"Oh, I can! And I will!"

Ayna's eyes grew wide when Sam tried to strike back, wide, with her weapon. Fortunately, she was able to parry it with Calamity's Light, even uncharged, and save herself. Whew! That was a close one! It was not, though Ayna wanted to believe it was. Even in a friendly fight, and even if she'd rather not admit it herself, she always respected her opponents in the field, friend or not.

After the sparks flew between their respective steel, Ayna jumped back, placing distance between herself and the attractive pirate woman. With a playful smirk, she gave her a wink, taking a step back as she lowered her body in a stance, the blade of Calamity's Light glinting in the sun.

"You've got some skills, hot stuff. Just need to get your timing right, that's all!"

She then charged toward the woman, hurling herself to her from her original position before disappearing in a flash of lightning. Ayna reappeared behind her, and with a grunt, tried to take her down by sweeping her off her feet with the blunt end of her polearm. If I succeed, she'll be on the ground and I can mount her. Hehehe! Ayna, please stop.

B*tch was sat down. B*tch was humbled.

Right after @Ayna Nietzsche parried her attack Sam delivered an utterly weak counter, it became apparent to her that she had no idea what she got herself into. She might not admit it herself, but the fact that she's a noob to PVP only contributed to her hesitation and self doubt. In real life, she would have been able to find some way around this inexperience and used it to her advantage, given the time and resources of course.

Too bad this was not real life. Sam, or in this case, Seila Helen Icarus, didn't have the luxury of time and the means to have analyzed these things beforehand. And with so many things to consider, with which most are simultaneously happening around her, she acknowledged that she was not in control. Perhaps, deep down, she wanted to lose, subconsciously yielding to her appeasing nature that manifested itself into the game. Or maybe an advance coping mechanism in fighting a losing battle. Even she did not know.

All of these thoughts flashed through her brain for but a moment, and when she came back to her senses, the last thing she saw was Ayna's playful smirk and wink. So you see, that's where the trouble began.

That smile. That damned smile.

If this wasn't combat, Sam would have tackled Ayna into a tight embrace and swooned as the latter charged towards her. But her senses are shocked back into action when the love of her life her opponent blinked again, this time behind her.

❰ Two-Handed Blade Parry ❱

Sam instinctively turned and tried to defend with her weapon again, but of course, she did not predict that Ayna would go for the legs with a tripping attack. The sharp pain coursed through Sam's legs as if they were wet noodles as the the polearm struck her shins, which caused her knees to buckle and eventually made her kneel, like a bad girl begging ripe for punishment.

"You could've just asked nicely, you know."

She smirked before gasping a sharp pained breath, and with the aid of her greatsword, she tried to prop herself back up by anchoring it in front of her.

❰ Storm Surge ❱

❰ Oceanborne Onslaught ❱

Before fully getting back up to her feet, and with her weapon set between her and Ayna, Sam abruptly swung her heavy blade upward for an uppercut slash, which only managed to cut a small part of Ayna's bracer. She then continued her assault—using the momentum of the preceding swing for the next—with a sequence of attacks directed on all sides.

Mounting her maybe?

2 / 3

To say that Ayna was very confident about her skills would be quite an understatement. She knew her limits. She knew her strengths and weaknesses. She knew her strategies. Unfortunately for her, she did not know the strategy against the very distracting quips of the very charming and very attractive @Samantha Yurei.

All it ever takes is just one wrong move, one second of a misdirect or a distraction, and an opening can be achieved. This lesson was in full display as Sam caught Ayna off-guard. Maybe it was the bracer thing. Maybe it was the fact that Ayna expected her to simply stand up first before making another attack. Or maybe it was just because the Beastfolk's eyes were all over the eyepatched warrior's then-vulnerable being. Not so vulnerable now.

"Whoa! That was...unexpected."

Ayna chuckled to herself when she realized she had been got. Or was it gottem'd. She quickly did what she could to brace herself, to gain some distance between them, momentarily stunned by Sam's prowess. She did say she had skills. Maybe Ayna shouldn't have dropped them balls or something.

"Good move, babe, but this ends now."

❰ Manifestation of the General ❱

With a roaring battle cry, Ayna rushed toward Samantha with a direct thrust to her armor. It wasn't intended as anything more than a pushing maneuver to get her to fall on her back. Ayna intended to mount her to end the spar, to establish dominance, and maybe to still flirt a little even if this little fight was coming to its end. Or at least that's what she thought. Everyone loves an underdog, and as long as you had a chance, you could very well turn the tide still. Can Samantha surprise Ayna once more?
