Fina was far too absorbed in her own world once all the fighting broke out, so when she faintly heard Vina's voice talking something about not having to worry about others, she could only briefly glance back at the fox with a feeble "U-uh-huh?"

After all, they were in a rush, so she quickly followed behind Ruby and jumped over yet another chasm leading into the abyss, landing on Rettah's construct. She already didn't trust them, but now that her eyes glanced at them, they truly were strange... in fact, so strange that the prismatic colors managed to disorient the feline.

"Shi-" As she swung her weapon at the mighty Sporeguard, she half-tripped over her own feet, stumbling to the side and only grazing the myconid. A fatal error that not only ensured that it was not finished off, but also left the girl in a highly vulnerable position, prime for full retaliation.

Harper didn't notice at first, but if the overall stench of the place was like week-old sweaty clothing left in a dark, closed space, then the spores from the fungi she crushed were like shoving her face into fermented manure and taking a loooooong sniff. It didn't just sting, it burned, the tigress going into a coughing frenzy for a moment as her ears turned to pick up @Vina Skysong 's warning.

"Could've done *cough* with that warning just a bit earlier, Vina! *cough cough*"

She did her best to try and shake her right hand clean of all the potentially toxic fluids of the previous myconid, but it was very much a futile task. @Crimson Ruby 's taunt made the corner of her mouth twist somehow as she looked at the gap between platforms in front of her. "Kinda easy to talk when your friend there can make bridges!" Not that she could focus on retorting for long, as things went even more off rails with another uninvinted inquiry landing nearby.
This one seemed to barely even speaking english, talking about eating stuff and people amidst incomprehensible babble, making the tigress' eyebrow twitch in a show of incredulity and annoyance. This whole thing was quickly turning from exciting to plain annoying, and it showed on her face. "Look here, Miss Michellin or whatever your name was, I reeeeeeeeally don't have anything against your culinary expedition, but we need that God Shroom." As she spoke, she reached for the arm of the Myconid near @Seigi Ling Ling and pulled it closer, dropping to her back as she dragged it alongside her while placing one of her feet on its body, before extending it to launch the fungi backwards with a Tomoe-Nage.

Though instead of keeping a hold of the arm and using only enough strength to flip her opponent on its back for a safe ippon, she made sure to both let go of the arm and use way more strength than needed so that the Myconid was sent flying towards Misha. "But do feel free to chomp on that one as a consolation prize! Moumantai or something like that, see ya around!" Kipping back up to her feet, she beckoned to both Nin and Seigi. "We can't be wasting time here, or else we'll be the one with shrooms growing out of our cracks sooner than later. So let's go! Let the stragglers sort themselves out!" With that said, she would take a step and a half back before rushing into a sprint and taking the mother of all leaps over the gap in front of her, landing on the platform in front with a roll.

"There, safe and s-" Harper would barely manage to get her sentence out before breaking into a coughing fit even worse than before. Whatever was there on the place she landed, it was a good lot worse than where she was previously. "I really wouldn't recommend breathing too much here if I was you two, now come on!" She'd extend her hand over the gap to catch the both of them as they made the leap.

"You!" Seigi's head snapped back as she heard the voice of a villain she had thought forgotten. Whatever rhythm she had going now gone for the moment. It had been years, yet Seigi remembered. If it involved Magi, she'd never forget. There was a feeling of anger boiling, hate, and an ancient urge to destroy the very being that suddenly appeared behind them. "I will..."

"Hey! You guys gotta go fast, you can't win this race if you don't hurry up!"
"Will you guys be all right?"
"So let's go! Let the stragglers sort themselves out!"


Right, this wasn't the time and place for THAT. They were here for a mission AND the safety of the group. "Thank you..." She murmured, though it could easily be taken as a thanks to Nin's healing and Harper's earlier support. Paying full attention to the path ahead, rather than behind again.

"You can keep up, yes, Nin?" She asked before giving Harper a nod, signaling her she'd be fine before calling out to @Vina Skysong. "We'll be fine!" With these words, Seigi jumped towards the mounted Fungi-warrior ahead of them. "Passing through..." Using it as a stepping stone, she simply ripped a wing from its body before making a save landing further ahead.

It didn't feel quite right, no quirky attack shenanigan for once, but it got its job done. The mushroom riding the flying mount went down with its steed. "That counts as two, yeah?!" She called out to @Harper to make sure about their tally as Seigi sprinted a bit further ahead.

"You heard the cat lady, we have a race to win!" The heroine beckoned @Harper upon @Crimson Ruby taunt. Weren't tigers faster than cats?!

"Who? I'm Misha! At least I think so...?" Mmmm... Did I forget again?"


Misha stood next to Nin who looked evermore exhausted with every passing moment. She met the stare of some short-haired girl who like her, used bandages over her arms. Besides that interesting bit, she honestly had no idea why the girl was looking at her that way. Did she eat someone's friend again?

Rettah, could you help our friends catch up with us with your platforms? If they fall behind they won't be able to share in whatever deadly obstacles await us~


"...do you want to stay behind?"


"Stay behind? I'm usually far ahead Gem Cat! Yeah, yeah, I'll help the wild bunch. A job's a job, right? Huh..."


Rettah notices her hands glowing erratically then the rest of her body. The air distorting and everything around bending like a fun house mirror...

"...instability? Heh, as usual, fun stuff mum..."


Rettah fires two more shining constructs, now one shaped like a mushroom and the other a star. The Prismatic Puzzle fades from the Spore Guard just as she draws her gun and pulls the trigger. Just then a blast of heat strong enough to immediately start burning the skin and searing the edges of clothes blew with the wind.

Rettah's body trembled.

"Wait it is true only 48 minutes remain but you must!!"


Nin tried to keep up but she couldn't. One final concoction was hurled before the blast of heat made the glasses almost melt onto her face and looked in horror to the west...





Several minutes earlier a Sporeguard peppered Funi with poisonous spores from atop its flying mount. Funi felt it getting to her, that on top of those that were so fragile and so unconditioned for the wilds., to actually be ahead of her this much...

No.

Snefrid would not accept her back then. She was weak and sent to be sacrificed to the Great Spirit of Power. Funi understood back then but... now...

These flames were slowly becoming uncontrollable until they would consume even her.

"Big sis? I can see that in your hands. The injector was it? I don't want you to do this. I just met you, big sis."

Funi turned to see the green-haired duo... both of them... they just made her think... then she saw the rose girl. No... she was not that useless was she?! No, she was a Lunatic, a princess! Now stuck working alongside filthy humans just like her enslaved elder sister Snefrid!

Whether it was that skull-faced metal head, the wannabe hunter who always hides like a coward, or that strange female, that was difficult to tell whether she was an outworlder even when she said she was...

"One of those rrrrose people? I thought I was all that... grrrr.... am I not ENOUGH?! I am not some thrrrrowaway human! GRRRRRRR!!!"


With eyes of rage and lack of thought, the often wiley caenis was overcome with her own uncontrollable fury driving her to reckless desires. Taking the syringe she dug it into her arm and began twisting rapidly like screwing a nail in. Her endless rage quickly became screams that pierced the skies of the Godshroom.

Her body lit into flame, covering the entirety from head to toe, and the searing smell of burning flesh overcame both the stench of the fungi and the strange rose-bearing intruder. Within were the screams of a caenis princess who had foolishly acted without thought.

Funi began to metamorphose. Like her sister before her, Funi's face twisted and her snout expanded forward. Her body convulsed violently as various parts strained bones bent and skin tore...

However.

As the head of a ferocious flaming wolf rose up it immediately became apparent to anyone understanding of such things that without the waves upon waves of heat and explosive untamed power lay a truth. The truth was that this was not just a normal transformation for the avenger of Snefrid...

The limbs twisted and grew and shrank at random horrifically, the head bent back so far it seemed to break, and then with an echoing howl, it was all brought back in. All that remained was a pillar of flame that shot past the clouds and brought fire down upon the Godshroom. The sounds of Myconids were rising as the entire Godshroom was bathed in heat that Azog Prince of Fire himself would be brought to respect.

"Oh, now THAT's interesting. Come ere' doggy ...ehhh... maybe this is going to become a death trap! I wonder..."


Rettah glanced with a slight smirt at Nin who was no longer begging for her group to slow down, rather she was standing straight, eyes narrowed at the pillar of dark flame threatening to engulf everything.

"..too much to bear for even a Lunatic."


"Hey you, can I ask you why you ummm... shénme? Anyway... umm hmmmm mmmm... that's ... I that feels like Lady Verm but different somehow?"


"A simpleton's comparison..."


Just then all the fleshy Godshroom 'branches' began quivering, creating an earthquake in the sky for the spore seekers. Nin's hand shoots for Misha's arm as her eyes close she mutters something and then passes out.

"Oh I will carry you! I don't know why but if you needed it sure! I do want to eat you later!"


Misha grabs up Nin's limp body and makes a rush through the growing heat and flames. Reaching out her bandaged arm, vines emerge from underneath and launch themselves towards a distant spot, pulling her and the unconscious Mathematician through the air.

As every Myconid around is cremated, The pillar subsides and the blazing hell spawn within suddenly begins to move. It gets into a primal position and starts to dash like a wolf in red and black streaks higher and higher along, not being slowed in the slightest... until she stops and starts screaming again...

"Looks like I'm not the only one that overloaded a little heh..." (falls to her knees)


A voice vibrates in the heads of all beastfolk present:

"Excuse me. Forgive my intrusion but please stay away from big sis. I cannot do anything to stop her and I don't want to see people just doing a job being unnecessarily massacred. So please try not to draw her attention was it?"

    Starcalled Level 2
    When the time to face a Fated Moment comes to pass. Often the soul shines far brighter when it is ready to go further beyond. For those times in battle, there is Oversoul.

    All of your points together are recorded at the end of every cycle. On your turn, you may use special Oversoul Free Actions, consuming the points you have personally stored.

    Now that the Starcalled have reached level 2, individual Unique Oversoul Abilities have been unlocked! You can use these as soon as you have built up the required OP needed. Abilities listed as [SEALED] are unavailable until a later point in the story. These abilities do not consume OP. These abilities are based on the build, tags, title, racial traits, and DAs you register into an LFG. Once acquired these will be formatted similarly to Generic Unique ability cards (yellow) in the builder. They will reflect the version of your character when they registered only. Always be sure you have your build information up to date for the most appropriate abilities to be allotted to you.

    Act as a team and use Oversoul to swing victory from the jaws of defeat Starcalled!

    Methods of building Oversoul:
    • Every action of HP/SP damage dealt, HP Healed, or Buff Applied to any amount of enemies or allies= 1 OP Charge
    • If you take direct damage (not splash or environmental) damage phase = 1 OP Charge
    • Tag an ally = 1 OP Charge
    • Enemy defeated = 1 OP Charge for kill taker.
    • Fight in the same or adjacent Zone with an Ally in the same Faction = 1 OP Charge
    • Fight in the same or adjacent zone as an NPC with Bond = 1 OP Charge
    • Important: All Oversoul is accumulated at the end of the damage phase after enemy attacks are dealt out. So you do not actually have the points you gain until they are given out by the DM/Narrator at that time.

    System Details
    • Events without an LFG do not use the Oversoul system.
    • Oversoul cannot be used retroactively beyond the mentioned before/after definitions.
    • Whenever a teammate is Killed/KO'ed they lose all Oversoul accumulated.
    • All advantages granted to Critical hit are only 1d100.
    • Advantages from Oversoul free actions do not work on Wild/Reckless pair. However, other forms of advantage such as Unique abilities and enemy weaknesses work as normal.
    • Oversoul free actions may be combined together (enhance+force+chain etc).
    • Beware: You are not the only ones that have Oversoul abilities...

    (2 Charges) Chain (You and Ally): Combine one of your next Standard actions with one tagged ally's next Standard Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage. Must target the same enemy/ally or enemies/allies if aoe. Must be used on the initiator's turn, before rolling action. Your ally may choose to cancel the combo by not spending points on their turn. You do not get refunded if a chain is broken.

    (3 Charges) Overaction: Use an additional Bonus Action (you may not double the same BA). This must be done before taking action.

    (3 Charges) Cleanse: Remove all stacks of all curable ailments you currently have. must be done at the start of your turn before taking action or moving.

    (4 Charges) Action Swap: Swap any action of your choice in your build to your current build sheet. This can be done anytime on your turn.

    (4 Charges) Fortify: Negates your current Vulnerable state. This also brings Super Vulnerable back to Vulnerable. This must be done immediately after becoming vuln.

    (5 Charges) Unite (You and Ally): Combine one of your Special Actions with one tagged ally's next Special Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage.   • NPC Guide

    • NPC armor type only affects their armor ability (Surge, Twice, Immortal), not their HP.
    • NPC actions are limited. This limit is set for the entire thread unless a player sheet revision and armor ability reset occurs. NPC should be considered still active in story but mechanically only assist with these actions. By using the comms thread, you may make a request for an NPC (@Pandora*) to take action or to conserve their action for a later cycle.
    • NPCs take their turn at the end of every cycle unless a unique passive or ability is in play.
    • Morale affects how NPCs approach many things including how fast their health drops.
    • NPC are not obligated to remain in an event until the end and may exit a thread due to morale or plot reasons.

However, @Fina Drago's incoming attack, as fierce as it was, wasn't enough to bring down the bulky Myconid, and as it threatened the well being of her friend, Ruby's gritted her teeth, trying to reach her- "Fina!" But before she could reach for her, a sudden burst coming from the green haired caught all of them off guard, and Ruby did what she could to try and shield her face as she winced.

"Watch out-" She hissed, peeking at the Death Seeker and then back at her silvery friends. "If they don't catch up soon, we will have some problems... And who is that girl anyway..?" She narrowed her gaze to Misha, which recalled her of Funi, giving her an urge to turn and look at the Lunatic, moments before she opened the gates to what seemed to be a hellish armageddon.

Ruby tried to cover her face with her cloak, with eyes and nostrils burning as it felt hard to both breath and see through the scorching heat and the smell of the burning fungi.

Growling, Ruby took a sharp step forward, ready to dart off from the area, but it didn't take long for her eyes to catch the glimpse of her fellow whistle falling to her knees, and of course her other allies that were still quite far. "... I know we should trust them, but we can't just leave them like that-" Ruby took a brief moment to allow her hands and feet to shimmer and swirl in spot to dispel the fire that was immediately near them, giving a breathing room for her two friends and to herself.

Then, she sheathed her blade, allowing her to dart off with swift and melodical movements, waving away the fire that followed the lead of her dance until she reached to Rettah (@Pandora*), lowering her upper body in a flexbile movement and quickly hooking an arm under her legs and another supporting her back before lifting the Death Seeker in a twirl.

"I know you won't appreciate it me taking you away from danger again, but no death for you right now." She said, already expecting another complaint or pout from the green haired, as she held the girl closer and firmly as she carried her away as quick as possible, wincing at her feet that stung at every step on that heating ground.

Just as Fina thought she was about to get punted by the Sporeguard into the next Tuesday, the entire battlefield was swept by a heatwave that staggered just about everyone. And more than the Starcalled present, the nature-based lifeforms were having an extra bad time, their bodies soon reduced to cinders and making the feline take several steps back, her eyes wandering to those who were nearby. Ruby was already shielding herself with her own clothes, but Vina didn't have that luxury on account of, well... her not wearing a whole lot.

"Dammit-!" Using her own oversized cloak, she tried to quickly get to the vixen and shield her as best as she could from Funi's heat, though in the rush, she ended up more bumping into the druid and accidentally shoving her to the side. "Ugh, sorry- head... thoughts are getting blurry!" The transformation of the entire battlefield was not doing her much good. "What's with all the fire as of late?! Nevermind, is the spore we're supposed to collect even gonna show up under these conditions? It could have already been burnt away!" She tried to shout toward Nin, only later noticing that the green-hair appeared to be unresponsive and in the hands of one of the enemies(?).

Someone falling into the hands of an unknown party? Definitely not good. But they were too far away and there was no way Fina could catch up with them if she went toward them... the only option was to try and cut them off. Onward it was then... as much as she didn't want to leave Vina behind, she figured that the vixen was in good enough health to follow soon after.

Vina smiled as @Crimson Ruby answered her optimism, together with @Seigi Ling Ling declaring that she and the other two would be fine on their own. @Harper's complaint that Vina's warning about the poison had come a bit late was answered with a more apologetic look.

Sorry about that Harper!


So far everything had actually been going fairly well, considering the circumstances. They were making good progress, everyone was working together... if they kept this up they might actually get that God Spore well within Nin's calculations, even if Vina couldn't make heads or tails of how the green-haired mathematician could even begin to account for all variables. Maybe she'd figured out how to create a calculator in this world?

Of course, even the best could stumble sometimes, as became apparent when @Fina Drago got distracted by these strange structures Rettah produced for them to stand on. Seeing her friend in a bad position in front of the myconid who'd managed to tank an attack from both felines Vina raised her staff to help out, when...

Well, everything went up in flames. Almost literally.

A heatwave intense enough to cause all the fungal flesh in the area to simply ignite also made Vina stumble, and then she found herself pushed to the side as dear Fina wasn't left with any solid footing either.

No worries, I'm fine-woah!


Flailing her arms to regain some of her balance Vina managed to avoid falling over, an upwards gust returning her stability so she could turn back towards the one who caused this, her azure eyes wide.

Wh-What's going on?!


Even for a relatively experienced adventurer this wasn't your everyday transformation, and Vina could feel herself trembling even as the temperature rose sharply, sweat sliding down her brow for more reasons than one. Taking a deep breath the druidess regained her mental and emotional balance, although that just meant that the instinctive fear took a backseat while concern grabbed the wheel.

Ruby's assistance helped a lot with regaining her bearings, giving Vina the chance to look over towards their other friends to see what they were doing. Rettah seemed to be struggling with something but was still upright, Harper and Seigi were doing fine, and Nin was... in the hands of that person Vina didn't know anything about. Given how she talked about eating people like it was nothing that wasn't reassuring.

Fina, Ruby, I'm going back to help the others. Don't worry, we'll be right behind you!


She would've asked them to also look after Rettah, but it looked like the felines were already taking care of that before she even had to ask. Taking a deep breath Vina turned away from the pyroclastic caenis, a new melody rising from her throat as she summoned winds from above and below, outside of the flames which had yet to carry its ash and cinders.

With enough winds swirling around her she jumped forward, and rather than falling down towards the scorched pathways, crumbling and quaking, the winds carried her far enough to reach one of Rettah's constructs, close enough to her allies that she could help them out as well.

The melody was uplifting and encouraging, faster and more lively than before. A melody of bravery, standing strong in the face of adversity and pushing forward for oneself, one's dreams, and one's friends. The winds followed suit, growing stronger and faster until Vina released them all in one direction, hair and tail trailing behind her before she finally hit the ground once more, wincing as she could feel the heat even through her sturdy travelling boots. It almost made her mess up the landing, taking several more steps before finally coming to a halt.

The winds washed over Harper, Nin, and Seigi, carrying Vina's magic and melody to refresh body and soul and cleanse them of their ailments. While not strong enough to get rid of the flames that were now eating away at everything it at least gave them a moment's respite from the heat.

Come on, we're almost there! A little bit further!

"Tch. Smartasses."

The tigress mumbled in annoyance at @Seigi Ling Ling 's efficient scoring and @Crimson Ruby 's response , though it was less directed at them and more at her own perfomance. With those two down, they were out of enemies in the general area for the time being... Except for Misha? Harper herself wasn't sure what to make out of the glutton, her words were certainly somewhat threatening towards Nin but at the same time she really hadn't done anything to actually harm any of them.

Still... Perhaps it was solely because she was a stranger, but Harper could not stay at ease by her side.
"Enjoy the lead while you can, Sei- Cough cough." Another coughing fit, and these one burned worse than the ones before. She reeeally needed to get some fresh air soon.

"Maaan, these spores could just go and screw thems-!"

As the monkey's paw curled, Harper's ears picked up Funi's maniacal ramblings before the felis quite literally became fire incarnate, the tigress holding her arms in front of her to protect herself from the searing hot air wave. Well, either Funi or something up above clearly had heard her, as the spore and everything green around them became hellfire. And if it they stayed there for long, so would her eyebrows all the way to the fur on her tail. Using one of her hands to post herself on the ground to keep her balance as the very floor seemed to give out, she would turn to look at the source of the hot wave.

"...Damn." Even Harper didn't have something quirky to say towards what Funi had became. Even if the felis did have their demise in her intentions, her screams and wails just sounded like someone in utter agony. Unfortunately, Harper didn't have the know-how on how to help nor the time to put her out of her misery. The voice in her head was a bit unexpected, but she had hanged around Mizuki enough so that she got somewhat used to it at this point. Though seemingly good-willed, the message was basically the mother of all taunts to someone like Harper. "Why you little...?!"

A melody. From a voice she knew very well. It was good to know her vixen friend was still in high-spirits, at the very least. And her aid with the poison could've not have come at the better time, the tigress taking a deep breath- OW OW OW, HOT AIR BAD! She would grimace, punching her own chest a few times.

Man, this place sucked.

Turning her head, she would see @Vina Skysong already try getting well-acquainted with Misha, getting her a raised eyebrow from the tigress.
"Oh please, can you-!" As she tried to walk towards Vina, she was struck by a sudden streak of dizziness, leading her to stumble.

Weird. She didn't even feel the ground shake again. Booting up her UI with a motion of her hand to check her statuses, she wouldn't find any... But she would find something a lot more concerning. "...Shit."

Without explaining further, she reached for Vina and lifted her up by the back and legs, taking on the vixen in her arms. "You can ask her to eat you later Vina, we need to get out of here!" It didn't sound like the usual Harper teasing or retort. She had a somewhat hurried tone to her voice as she turned towards her fellow brawler. "You get Nin to safety! And you..." As she turned her gaze towards Misha, she frowned her face and bared her fangs slightly.

"Stay out of our way."

With the threats and orders roared out, she quickly turned back and started sprinting towards their goal, clearing the chasm in front of her with ease. The flames scorched her skin and fur, but Harper did her best to pay it no mind. What she couldn't hide, however, was that she was sweating out of the wazoo. And with the heat around them, that meant she looked like she was literally letting off more steam than a train.

Her water meter was decreasing much too fast to her liking, her body not being at all built for these temperatures, more so than anyone in her group. And she was feeling it, for sure.

"Wha-...?!" The world was set asunder. A wave of molten malice washing over the group. Burning away all her worries, hopes, nightmares, dreams, and convictions alike. For just a moment, she felt free, before it came all crashing down.

But that was enough.

Seigi had to calm down. But she wouldn't. Seigi had to set her sight ahead. But she didn't. Seigi had to save Nin! But she couldn't. The voices of her friends falling on deaf ears as, instead, all she heard was the mockery of a madwoman. Just moments ago, she was able to hold it in. But now, it was too late. Godless Susurrations that were anything but heroic.

But it would get the job done, no?

Come. let us take care of it.
But you can't—!

"Hey..." A low growl sounded from behind Misha, albeit absolutely tame compared to the flaming beast further ahead. "Give her back..." Clearly, Seigi was talking about Nin, no? "She didn't deserve any of this..." With staggering, unsteady steps, Seigi advanced, her movements erratic and uncontrollable. "And for that... you will suffer!"

In a sudden, swift motion, Seigi lunged forward. Attacking Misha with inhumane speed. Without any regard for her own safety the 'heroine' went straight for the other brawler's throat. An obvious attempt to crush, or rip, it right apart. Full of openings herself, whatever semblance of technique had existed before was now completely gone...

Giant Godshroom

C4: The Shadow of Mortal's Exceed

The flames continued to burn, however with the team successfully pulling ahead and away from the raging caenis the danger had subsided. Even if by minuscule margins when taking into account the bigger picture.

The screams and howls of agony and rage echoed as Funi continued her ascent at a safe distance from the party, stopping frequent fits of convulsion. Rettah, who had stopped radiating the prismatic aura, had changed her attention to something else though.

Looking back the way the group came, she waited... and noticing no one was coming suddenly laughed a little It was an odd laugh. Not exactly a happy one either. Just a laugh at circumstances perhaps.

"...looks like you got more data than you expected. Was that intentional? Well, I haven't given up. I will be the one to get that spore and get the thrills. You're on death's door already anyways right Ninny? I'll do my best for the both of us."


Rettah glanced at Ruby, the one member insane enough to be in a faction with so much danger attached.

"Having fun yet? We already lost two members heh. That hamster-looking girl and the nerd. As people drop one by one, don't you feel that tingling thrill in your spine? That's why I'm still planning on going to Silent Palace. You can't just sit still and expect the Russian Roulette to come to you... eh... if that's the right way to use that term."


She gave a shrug and seemed to be waiting for everyone else to just move on with her.

Meanwhile...






Left behind in the flames as her own inner demons demanded retribution. Seigi would attack Misha with a sudden fury. Misha still holding Nin in both arms jumped back, she tossed the limp body back while still holding it in long vines and bandages that moved as if they were alive.

"Shénme?! You want to fight? I did eat your friend, didn't I? Well, it's ok I can eat you too later! ...wait. I think I know who yo- "


She blocked the incoming blows as the bandaged arm met bandaged arm and her eyes lit up a little. As if something inside was gauging the threat and considered it worth opening one eye over.

Just then the entire path they were on burned away along with several others. The fleshy fungi all around them swayed in the air as the three fell and bounced along the damaged bits of Godshroom. Somehow, Seigi would be dropped into a dark moist area. It seemed she was inside a part of the stipe. Misha was nowhere to be seen or smelled.

On the ground nearby was Nin's unconscious form. Vina's attempt to cure her had been in vain. She remained motionless as the sounds of some very upset Myconids were heard in the surrounding darkness.

The cavern trembled much like how the paths outside had. It was as if the Godshroom itself was twitching.

Of course right now... Seigi may not be fully aware of the circumstances...

They say no rest for the wicked but in this case, no rest for the fools.





Cycle 4 Rules



The team is currently divided between the main party with Rettah and Seigi with the unconscious Nin.

  • Team 1 may use this opportunity to converse with each other and or Rettah in comms.
  • Seigi must roll 3 attack actions in her sheet + all bonuses vs the encroaching Myconids. If you nat 1 at any point you will target Nin. If the Oversoul effect is canceled in any way, roll 1 attack action instead.
  • Both groups may use the Trinity Emporium as it is a meta feature.
  • At this time characters (including Seigi) may choose to leave the event if they wish, the team can exit together as well.

    Starcalled Level 2
    When the time to face a Fated Moment comes to pass. Often the soul shines far brighter when it is ready to go further beyond. For those times in battle, there is Oversoul.

    All of your points together are recorded at the end of every cycle. On your turn, you may use special Oversoul Free Actions, consuming the points you have personally stored.

    Now that the Starcalled have reached level 2, individual Unique Oversoul Abilities have been unlocked! You can use these as soon as you have built up the required OP needed. Abilities listed as [SEALED] are unavailable until a later point in the story. These abilities do not consume OP. These abilities are based on the build, tags, title, racial traits, and DAs you register into an LFG. Once acquired these will be formatted similarly to Generic Unique ability cards (yellow) in the builder. They will reflect the version of your character when they registered only. Always be sure you have your build information up to date for the most appropriate abilities to be allotted to you.

    Act as a team and use Oversoul to swing victory from the jaws of defeat Starcalled!

    Methods of building Oversoul:
    • Every action of HP/SP damage dealt, HP Healed, or Buff Applied to any amount of enemies or allies= 1 OP Charge
    • If you take direct damage (not splash or environmental) damage phase = 1 OP Charge
    • Tag an ally = 1 OP Charge
    • Enemy defeated = 1 OP Charge for kill taker.
    • Fight in the same or adjacent Zone with an Ally in the same Faction = 1 OP Charge
    • Fight in the same or adjacent zone as an NPC with Bond = 1 OP Charge
    • Important: All Oversoul is accumulated at the end of the damage phase after enemy attacks are dealt out. So you do not actually have the points you gain until they are given out by the DM/Narrator at that time.

    System Details
    • Events without an LFG do not use the Oversoul system.
    • Oversoul cannot be used retroactively beyond the mentioned before/after definitions.
    • Whenever a teammate is Killed/KO'ed they lose all Oversoul accumulated.
    • All advantages granted to Critical hit are only 1d100.
    • Advantages from Oversoul free actions do not work on Wild/Reckless pair. However, other forms of advantage such as Unique abilities and enemy weaknesses work as normal.
    • Oversoul free actions may be combined together (enhance+force+chain etc).
    • Beware: You are not the only ones that have Oversoul abilities...
    | Gobal 0 OP Cost Actions
    Carry: (Bonus Action) You can move others. When you move, you can pick up a willing ally from any zone you move through and drop them off at any zone you enter afterward as a bonus action.

    Reposition: (Bonus Action) You may move any one adjacent non-boss unit (and some objects) 1 zone in any direction from their zone.

    (1 Charge) Enhance: +10 Modifier to next roll (checks, attacks, saves, etc). This must be done immediately after making the roll you want to enhance.

    (1 Charge) Force: Deal 25 SP damage when you deal damage. Does not work with aoe or splash. This must be done immediately after making the roll you want to enhance.

    (2 Charges) Chain (You and Ally): Combine one of your next Standard actions with one tagged ally's next Standard Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage. Must target the same enemy/ally or enemies/allies if aoe. Must be used on the initiator's turn, before rolling action. Your ally may choose to cancel the combo by not spending points on their turn. You do not get refunded if a chain is broken.

    (3 Charges) Overaction: Use an additional Bonus Action (you may not double the same BA). This must be done before taking action.

    (3 Charges) Cleanse: Remove all stacks of all curable ailments you currently have. must be done at the start of your turn before taking action or moving.

    (4 Charges) Action Swap: Swap any action of your choice in your build to your current build sheet. This can be done anytime on your turn.

    (4 Charges) Fortify: Negates your current Vulnerable state. This also brings Super Vulnerable back to Vulnerable. This must be done immediately after becoming vuln.

    (5 Charges) Unite (You and Ally): Combine one of your Special Actions with one tagged ally's next Special Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage. Must target the same enemy/ally or enemies/allies if aoe. Must be used on the initiator's turn before rolling action. Your ally may choose to cancel the combo by not spending points on their turn. You do not get refunded if a unite is broken.

    (10 Charges) Fate Turner: Negate a Nat 1 or any deathblow within 25 damage (consider it an HP shield worth 25 when used). Must be used immediately after a nat 1 or after a deathblow is dealt to you. Beware denying a set fate may make the next meeting with destiny much worse. This stacks...

  • NPC Guide

    • NPC armor type only affects their armor ability (Surge, Twice, Immortal), not their HP.
    • NPC actions are limited. This limit is set for the entire thread unless a player sheet revision and armor ability reset occurs. NPC should be considered still active in story but mechanically only assist with these actions. By using the comms thread, you may make a request for an NPC (@Pandora*) to take action or to conserve their action for a later cycle.
    • NPCs take their turn at the end of every cycle unless a unique passive or ability is in play.
    • Morale affects how NPCs approach many things including how fast their health drops.
    • NPC are not obligated to remain in an event until the end and may exit a thread due to morale or plot reasons.

Open converts difficult terrain or flight-only terrain into normal terrain. Closed blocks off the zone completely for access for all movement types besides Warp.

    Neo Impulse Reverse:

    Every nat 1 rolled by the party increases damage dealt by 25 for the rest of the thread. If Rettah rolls a nat 1 gains a surge charge of 100 but becomes super vulnerable for that cycle.



    Prismatic:
    (Free)
    Every cycle roll 1d6 and apply the following:
    ◆ 1: Split any damage you deal with yourself this cycle.
    ◆ 2: Gain S Tier Torment Passive effects this cycle. Stacks with Torment.
    ◆ 3: Gain Extension Passive effects for this cycle (Zone Range+1). Stacks with Extension.
    ◆ 4: If the enemy has an Elemental/Aspect weakness, your damage dealt will always strike it dealing 2x damage.
    ◆ 5: All modifiers (including buffs) are set to 0 for this cycle.
    ◆ 6: Next offensive action is expanded to zonal, gains Extension effects, hits Elemental/Aspect weakness, and has S Tier Torment effects. Stacks with Extension and Torment passives. A moment of respite, at long last. Unfortunately, Fina was a bit too panicked and adrenaline-filled to really enjoy it. Whatever window or other interface opened up, she tried to close it as quickly as it appeared to then turn around and try to survey the situation. It didn't look particularly good... whoever that flaming beastfolk was, she pretty much obliterated the branches that they were previously occupying. "If even those tough branches are gone, then what of the spore thing... wait, where even is the...?"

Looking around, she did not spot Nin. The green-head was the sole reason why they were here in the first place! Her eyes quickly darted around to see if anyone else was missing. Vina and Ruby were still there, good. But for the other group... aside from the scientist, there seemed to be one more missing as well. "Shit..." It seemed that their task changed to finding a way down to hopefully rescue those who were missing.

Whe the chaos had ended, the crimson cat quickly looked for @Vina Skysong and @Fina Drago, already knowing Rettah was fine since she had carried her, but still feeling concerned by the well being of her other friends.

"Vina? Fina? Are you two okay?" Ruby asked, looking at the two silver beastfolks, and letting out a sigh when turning to face the fact two of their members couldn't keep up with their pace. It was hard to know what could have happened, but Ruby couldn't just give up so easily, even if her fellow Whistle provoked her.

Before responding Rettah, Ruby took a deep breath, focusing to bring the spirits of the fallen myconids into her surroundings, and releasing the energy between her friends, trying to close wounds, and strengthen their own spirits as well, letting out a breath as she felt the relief of the slowed pace.

"I am just glad you are still alive, and with us, Rettah... So we can still figure out this Silent Palace someday." That certainly wasn't today's topic though.

"I am sure we didn't lose them. One looked like a tough nut to crack, and Ms. Glasses is smart, in her own way." Ruby swayed her tails.

"But we may lose them if we don't find them soon enough... I hope they get to the end of this with us." Her eyes turned to look at the vixen.

"It is all about trusting them, right? Let's keep going and hope we can find them."

She echoed the encouragement of her friend from moments ago, then, she looked at @Harper, who was with the other two before all of that happened.

"Did you see where they fell before you escaped? Maybe we can try to go through a route we will catch them mid way through it."

Harper didn't quite know where exactly she was going as she carried @Vina Skysong away, the tigress just wishing to get away from this insane heat and flames as quick as possible. The fur she made sure to groom and take care of so much wasn't doing much but to further overheat her at this moment, but she couldn't stop running for both of their sakes.

So, she ran.

And ran, and ran, and ran...

She would only turn once her ears picked up the starting brawl between @Seigi Ling Ling and Misha, before the crumbling ground and flames swallowed the both of them. Harper considered going back to see if she could help the both of them, but the rumbling of the footing under them made the tigress relent, otherwise it could possibly be the both of them stuck down there as well, she only gritting her teeth in frustration and shaking her head as she turned back and continued to run.

Once the rest of the group in front of her stopped for a brief moment of respite, so did she, settling her vixen friend down as she herself took a seat, before just lying on her side as she panted frenetically. Harper was proud of her stamina, so to be breathing out of her mouth like this after just some jogging and tossing was embarassing, to say the least. Making a motion with her hand to bring out her UI, she would grab a waterskin from her inventory and half drink it, half dump the water on her head. God, she needed that relief, even if it was only temporary.

She knew she had signed up for a hot time when going to a tropical jungle, but this was magnitudes worse than anything she could expect.

Hearing Rettah's (@Pandora* ) less than optimistic remarks about the pair that got separated pushed Harper back into a sitting position, the beastkin glaring at the thrill junkie with a low growl. "Don't be talking about them like they are already dead and rotting at the seams, you brat. Until we get confirmation, we don't give up on anyone here, you hear?" She would cross her arms before turning to look at @Crimson Ruby with a somewhat defeated look, shrugging her shoulders.

"The part of the tree they were on burned away and fell off. Assuming they are alright, I don't think there's a path we take that both stays on track for the objective while looking for them. Hell, we don't even know how far down they even are. We did skip a good amount of the way up, remember?"

Her hands went behind her back as she sighed and tried to relax both her body and mind. "What I'm trying to say is that we either go look for them or focus on the objective and just hope for the best. I'm not Nin to go over the nitty gritty of probabilities and statistics over which option is better, but I do know one thing for certain: If there's a chance to save them, that shroom can go up the firecat's ass for all I care."

Closing her eyes, she'd try to make herself comfortable as she waited, even though she was already dripping from sweat again.

"I hate this goddamn place."

With everything that was going on Vina could hardly be blamed for not noticing @Harper's annoyance until the tigress had already picked her up and carried her towards safety, the vixen letting out a surprised yelp nodding. She'd been hoping to placate the strange redhead with actual food, not with her own body, but now wasn't the time to argue that.

Unfortunately, that also meant she got to watch @Seigi Ling Ling apparently go ballistic towards Misha, leaving the two together with the fallen Nin to stick around inside the inferno caused by the beastfolk redhead (whose name she still didn't know).

Hold on-!


Misha, Nin, and Seigi were already obscured by the flames before Vina could finish her sentence, leaving the druidess with little option but to hope that they would be all right while she and Harper joined the rest of the group. It seemed that the inferno, while intense, didn't reach that far, and Vina eagerly took in lungfuls of fresh air after Harper set her down.

Thank you Harper~ Is everyone all right?


While Seigi and Nin did remain in her mind she did also want to make sure none of the others were in trouble. From the looks of it the others had made it safely beyond the flames as well, Vina smiling as she saw that @Fina Drago and Ruby were mostly unharmed.

I'm fine, thanks to Harper~ (She frowned.) But Seigi and Nin are still back there...


By this point the pathways they'd braved to reach this point had mostly burned away, meaning that the two (or three?) left behind were now somewhere far below, where finding them would be an undertaking in and of itself. Vina closed her eyes as she felt Ruby's rejuvenating magic wash over her, the druidess releasing a relieved sigh before walking closer.

Thank you Ruby~ I feel much better now.


Mere words weren't enough, however, so Vina gave Ruby a quick hug as well, humming a soothing tune that would return the bladedancer to pristine condition as it carried Vina's relief and gratitude. Fina also received a quick hug, to express Vina's relief at seeing that her beloved friend was all right before she returned to Harper's side and patted the tigress on the shoulder.

I don't really know what the God Spore is for, but we're not leaving Seigi and Nin behind.


Her decision was already locked in. The God Spore couldn't be worth the lives of the three who were somewhere down there, or the fiery one who was clearly not doing so well despite the devastation she brought with her. Vina shook her head before standing up, humming another tune which resounded throughout the area.

No point in leaving them waiting, is there~?

The flames around the trio were burning brighter and brighter with every passing second, threatening to turn the entirety of the Godshroom into cinders. But for her, it didn't matter, between the raging flames from the outside, and the raging beast from inside, Seigi kept intact. Unifying the tangled mess that was inside her into one single purpose. "Punishment of the villain..." She grimaced at the dodging Misha. "...for Justice."

She had missed before, but she wouldn't miss again. After all, a world without criminals was a world saved! She'd made sure nobody else would suffer again. Nobody would go through the pain that Magi had to suffer...

The fire had long burned away the bandages from her arms as Seigi went onto all fours to launch her second assault. Except, it never bore fruit. The Godshroom gave no warning as the ground below them conceded to the all-consuming flames. It was simply: sudden and abrupt, and before Seigi knew it she found herself surrounded by darkness. The only light coming from the ever-scorching hell above.

"N-Nin...!" Seigi called out as she regained her balance, stretching her shadowy arm toward the (hopefully) unconscious girl. Though it was then, that she noticed. There was no more Misha... but plenty of other game still around! She had still work to do! "...for Justice..." She murmured to herself, closing her eyes in a brief moment of respite to focus on what actually mattered.

Letting out a sigh, Seigi's eyes perked around. Too many to count. But it didn't matter.

"I will protect you!"
"I will punish you!"

She dared them. Without missing a beat, Seigi lept into action. With swift, unerring precision, embodying the ferocity of a predator on the hunt. Yet also like a child dismantling a structure of Lego with ease.

Seigi rip and tore the myconoids apart, her movement a blur under the guise of the shadows. Every part of the girl became a weapon: Hands, feet, mouth, finger, toes, teeth - each playing a role in the one-sided onslaught. She darted from corner to corner, surging forward and backward, moving with a fluidity that stood in direct contrast to the raw display of strength.

"Hihihihihi...."

Seigi's laughter echoed through the air as the darkness that engulfed her arms crept further, engulfing parts of her intestine(?)-splattered torso. Dissonant limbs sprouting forth to join into the chaotic melody of destruction.

Despite the carnage unfolding, Seigi's focus did not wane from the unconscious Nin. Her moves were calculated enough that whatever Myconoid was next on the chopping block, had evidently been closest to Nin too.

Seigi was focused, yet was letting go.
She thought herself a hero, yet succumbed to her inner struggles...?
There was a certain uncertainty...
...but it didn't really matter.

C5: Chaos Night


The Myconids finally stopped coming and Seigi was left shouting at little that remained. A low moan came from the scientist on the ground. Her body was in a heap and her hat off of her head. Something she truly hated as it revealed her beastfolk ears for all to see.

"...urgh."


Nin's eyes open and she stares at the setting sunlight beaming down from above. It would take more energy than she had to climb out of here. She didn't know she needed her pill today. If it even helped her condition anymore. She placed a hand on her collarbone and then looked at her hand. It was sticky with fungal bits. Her glasses were absolutely coated.

Straining, The mathematician turned to see Seigi also covered in myconid. Then she remembered and sighed. Her voice was barely a whisper.

"You did that and... didn't subtract me from the problem? Improbable...illogical I... such a small chance and yet....not a Lunatic but a human. If one from outside the sphere... this would be another example just like... what is the shared factor? She knows... I am such a fool...."


She thought about something but realized she didn't have the brain power right now and just stayed there on the ground. She removed her glasses and stared at the moon as its light upon her eyes.

"...It would be a better result for everyone if I... if my heartbeat hit zero... here. You? Are you in control? ...I am ...unable to assist. Math cannot overcome these circumstances. Subtract yourself.... "


Muttering in delirium Nin waited for whatever the strange person she was with would do. Seeing how the girl was recovering from her own ailment...

"You won't though will you...? Stuck with life. I'm starting to sound like Rettah..."


Fade to black...





The moon of Uene rose as the red hues faded from the Godshroom in what seemed to be an act of self-repair reduced its temperature and now only the hellfire of the mad caenis remained. The strange movements and subtle shifts in the Godshroom flesh continued regardless.

The final leg to the Godshrooms lamellae. It throbbed like a heartbeat as many lights twinkled upon the filled flesh, brighter as night fell.








The shadow of a figure stands at the end of a fungal path. A small compact pops open and a fanged smile flashes before promptly being closed with a snap.













Night at last. I never appreciated the night this much. Beautiful~! Just. Like. Me. But this beauty is stained with the presence of such gross mushroom junk. I'm not touching this stuff any more than is necessary. Thankfully, I'm the dark stalker of the skies! Forbidden races! This is peak! ...does that make ME peak?!! Ehehehe~!



The woman kept her cape tightly wrapped around her, The crimson-clawed hand returned into it like a cocoon for the elf-eared female. Those ears twitched as she frowned a little in annoyance at what the sounds meant.

The spore was about to drop and the Myconid minions would be coming in droves to prevent anyone from taking it... or that would have been the situation if not for....

"Welp, time to earn my unliving~."


Leaping with a black streak to the large shroomdril leading right up to the gills. She walked along and her face winced in a moment of an unseen pain. Then her right arm juts out straight from the cape and a long slit rained blood from it all along onto the fleshy ground. She continued to walk letting as if watering plants.

With a swift motion, her arm was brought to her face and she licked it clean as it resealed itself in seconds.

"Eyaaaahhhhhhh.... alright your majesty! Between the burns, spore fall, and this... it's a win-win! Let's see what you can do!"


A blast of heat made her look back slightly. The resounding growl from behind was met with a smirk as she turned her hands once again hidden in her cape.

With a screech of pain and rage, Funi sprints for the fanged woman. Leaving the now signature blazing trail in her wake.

"3.... let's go then."


Funi leaps off the ground and starts spinning preparing to descend.

"2... can you touch the sky?"


Several bats take shape from her shadow and gather around her before she suddenly zips into the air like a black bullet and Funi surprisingly uses the terrain to follow her upwards finally making a blazing leap creating a flag of fire in the air easily seen for great distances.

"1..."


She halts in place hovering for a moment with several bats in formation as if carrying her without touching. The heat causes the flyer's face to flush and her eyes to widen slightly as the deformed clawed hand of Funi swipes right for her face...

Only for the hellfire to extinguish and the blow to come up short with a weak swipe of a severly burnt arm.

"...huh?


For a split second, Funi's surprised eyes met the other girls and in a near-comical fashion, she fell like a wiley coyote to the ground far below. With a single hard bounce, she lay unconscious and covered in burns.

"Awww. All out of juice~?"


She returned to the ground and her almost concerned expression vanished for one of pure smugness.

"Outsiders don't get the good stuff~. For all the sus parts. there are some sick employee benefits! Roleplaying a Queen of the Night is one of them. ....or is it more at this point? Hmmmm...."


The rumble of the Godshroom ended her bragging and she quickly put her game face back on.


"Finally. See those sparkles under the head? One of those is about to become my, uh, our God Spore!"


"Time to be the baddie of the hour."


Myconids began to spawn from everywhere, sprouting from the flesh of the Godshroom itself rapidly. The caped girl glided quickly past them without taking to the air, in fact, it didn't look like she was actually fighting at all. Her cape itself moved as if alive and the ends sliced through the hordes as she flew off the edge and into the skies above.

This was merely a clearing out of the 'unaffected'.

"...wait that's happening now? Heh, wow. Just wow. "


Rettah shook her head. and looked around seeing...

"Aha! Nǐ zài zhè! I still remember my meal plans! Yes!"


Misha had pulled herself up onto a high area and looked absent-mindedly at the God Spore that was dropping down from above. It fell slowly with a radiance that indeed could be seen as something divine by many...

"A 1.67% chance of survival and here I am alive. Barely...Seigi That is the target of the Godshroom and... it looks like the caenis has been removed from the equation temporarily."


Adjusting her now clean glass, Nin glanced upwards and sighed.

"...it just doesn't stop...."


The caped figure descends and hovers still quite high overhead. Surrounded by bats she shines eerily in the moonlight.

"I see everyone made it. Walking or jumping, or climbing with those ineffective limbs and stuff you call powers are quite tiresome aren't they? I couldn't be bothered with that, ehehehe~ (grasps the folds of her cape a little as it moves like a liquid around her.)."


"Excuse me? You're a doofus. Now get outta here, capisce?"


"I can't do that. I was assigned to this by the big guy himself~. Not his fling. Not that you all have the right to know his name, or mine! But I will tell you all one tidbit....you should at least know the circumstances of your death!"


Her hand juts out and a thin red fingernail points straight down.

"The flesh you walk on... this entire Godshroom... Aren't you morons wondering why the Monarch hasn't taken action against you all yet? Ehehehehe~! You're walking on him! Burning him! Annoying him!"


The pools of blood on the ground bubbled like acid. The gathering Myconids all had some of it on them seeing into their bodies....

"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


"Yes that's it! Dance to my beat! You're essence and mine! The Diabolic Connection! Now where is he?! Oh, there he is."


He rose.....



A roar as the massive creature. A titanic monstrosity that was also fed the blood of the Darkstalker.

"The avatar of the Monarch! He doesn't look happy. Luckily he's under my control! Unluckily.. he isn't under yours~!"

Her playfully smug expression changes to something manic for a moment before returning to normal. Snapping her finger thousands upon thousands of black liquid spheres emerged from her cape's fabric and they grew wings to become even more bats. The entire sky began to fill with them. Some of them had wings that looked more like swords, some grew long tails before snapping them back into place, while others warped and bent stranger still. They then gathered around the waiting God Spore.

"You are very bad at this game ehehehe~! If you think the only Starcalled in Arcia are you all. You are mistaken. The true champions are those who have the connections baby! I will be taking the spore for more sick perks! Ahem, glory of N.E.O. NEXUS!!!!!"


"Jesus fucking Christ. Will you just shut up? Let's get this crap done with I'm getting annoyed now!"


Flying her voice could be heard in the wind. Mocking and almost sounding like she would burst into laughter with every word.

"Hey speeches are part of the game! But I'm not an evil girl! I'll give you all a chance. I'll just watch and see what you've got k amigos?"


"I don't know who anyone here is but that one feels like Lady Verm too! Why is everyone doing that?! Well, I do want that spore!!!! Mmmmm....don't try to stop me!"


"...all this for data? An infinite amount of threads all going to the same place... such things... I....."


Nin shakes her head and tries to find a safe spot. Her condition is nowhere near allowing combat.

Thus the Chaos Night begins and blood shall flow in the moonlight...

    Starcalled Level 2
    When the time to face a Fated Moment comes to pass. Often the soul shines far brighter when it is ready to go further beyond. For those times in battle, there is Oversoul.

    All of your points together are recorded at the end of every cycle. On your turn, you may use special Oversoul Free Actions, consuming the points you have personally stored.

    Now that the Starcalled have reached level 2, individual Unique Oversoul Abilities have been unlocked! You can use these as soon as you have built up the required OP needed. Abilities listed as [SEALED] are unavailable until a later point in the story. These abilities do not consume OP. These abilities are based on the build, tags, title, racial traits, and DAs you register into an LFG. Once acquired these will be formatted similarly to Generic Unique ability cards (yellow) in the builder. They will reflect the version of your character when they registered only. Always be sure you have your build information up to date for the most appropriate abilities to be allotted to you.

    Act as a team and use Oversoul to swing victory from the jaws of defeat Starcalled!

    • Fight in the same or adjacent Zone with an Ally in the same Faction = 1 OP Charge

    • Important: All Oversoul is accumulated at the end of the damage phase after enemy attacks are dealt out. So you do not actually have the points you gain until they are given out by the DM/Narrator at that time.

    System Details
    • Events without an LFG do not use the Oversoul system.
    • Oversoul cannot be used retroactively beyond the mentioned before/after definitions.
    • Whenever a teammate is Killed/KO'ed they lose all Oversoul accumulated.
    • All advantages granted to Critical hit are only 1d100.
    • Advantages from Oversoul free actions do not work on Wild/Reckless pair. However, other forms of advantage such as Unique abilities and enemy weaknesses work as normal.
    • Oversoul free actions may be combined together (enhance+force+chain etc).
    • Beware: You are not the only ones that have Oversoul abilities...
    | Gobal 0 OP Cost Actions
    Carry: (Bonus Action) You can move others. When you move, you can pick up a willing ally from any zone you move through and drop them off at any zone you enter afterward as a bonus action.

    Reposition: (Bonus Action) You may move any one adjacent non-boss unit (and some objects) 1 zone in any direction from their zone.

    (1 Charge) Enhance: +10 Modifier to next roll (checks, attacks, saves, etc). This must be done immediately after making the roll you want to enhance.

    (1 Charge) Force: Deal 25 SP damage when you deal damage. Does not work with aoe or splash. This must be done immediately after making the roll you want to enhance.

    (2 Charges) Chain (You and Ally): Combine one of your next Standard actions with one tagged ally's next Standard Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage. Must target the same enemy/ally or enemies/allies if aoe. Must be used on the initiator's turn, before rolling action. Your ally may choose to cancel the combo by not spending points on their turn. You do not get refunded if a chain is broken.

    (3 Charges) Overaction: Use an additional Bonus Action (you may not double the same BA). This must be done before taking action.

    (3 Charges) Cleanse: Remove all stacks of all curable ailments you currently have. must be done at the start of your turn before taking action or moving.

    (4 Charges) Action Swap: Swap any action of your choice in your build to your current build sheet. This can be done anytime on your turn.

    (4 Charges) Fortify: Negates your current Vulnerable state. This also brings Super Vulnerable back to Vulnerable. This must be done immediately after becoming vuln.

    (5 Charges) Unite (You and Ally): Combine one of your Special Actions with one tagged ally's next Special Action of the same type (Attack, Defense, Support). Giving both actions Advantage. Must target the same enemy/ally or enemies/allies if aoe. Must be used on the initiator's turn before rolling action. Your ally may choose to cancel the combo by not spending points on their turn.   • NPC Guide

    • NPC armor type only affects their armor ability (Surge, Twice, Immortal), not their HP.
    • NPC actions are limited. This limit is set for the entire thread unless a player sheet revision and armor ability reset occurs. NPC should be considered still active in story but mechanically only assist with these actions. By using the comms thread, you may make a request for an NPC (@Pandora*) to take action or to conserve their action for a later cycle.
    • NPCs take their turn at the end of every cycle unless a unique passive or ability is in play.
    • Morale affects how NPCs approach many things including how fast their health drops.
    • NPC are not obligated to remain in an event until the end and may exit a thread due to morale or plot reasons.

    Prismatic light is used to create and destroy. Whenever an Enigma Construct or Prismatic Puzzle is created adjacent to another they fuse and become a Philosopher's Maze.
    • (Free) Construct; Generates Prismatic Cubes 1d3 zones. Within the next cycle, they become Enigma Constructs. Choose either Open or Closed. Open converts difficult terrain or flight-only terrain into normal terrain. Closed blocks off the zone completely for access for all movement types besides Warp.
    • (BA) Design: Turns a zone into a Prismatic Puzzle. Sealing allies and enemies or preventing anyone from passing/entering it. Lasts 1 cycle. Allies can use a Reflex check vs 75 to escape to a different zone.
    • (BA) Reality Collapse: All creations explode and cause d200 times the amount connected in indiscriminate HP and SP damage. If any enemy has an Elemental or Aspect weakness it is 2x damage.


    Neo Impulse Reverse:

    Every nat 1 rolled by the party increases damage dealt by 25 for the rest of the thread. If Rettah rolls a nat 1 gains a surge charge of 100 but becomes super vulnerable for that cycle.



    Prismatic:
    (Free)
    Every cycle roll 1d6 and apply the following:
    ◆ 1: Split any damage you deal with yourself this cycle.
    ◆ 2: Gain S Tier Torment Passive effects this cycle. Stacks with Torment.
    ◆ 3: Gain Extension Passive effects for this cycle (Zone Range+1). Stacks with Extension.
    ◆ 4:
    If the enemy has an Elemental/Aspect weakness, your damage dealt will always strike it dealing 2x damage.
    ◆ 5: All modifiers (including buffs) are set to 0 for this cycle.
    ◆ 6: Next offensive action is expanded to zonal, gains Extension effects, hits Elemental/Aspect weakness, and has S Tier Torment effects. Stacks with Extension and Torment passives. Damage is indiscriminate. On the next cycle you cannot be healed, gain a vulnerable penalty, and become immobilized.
