Personality
Cold, with eyes like a snake. Plotting, scheming. She's hard to read and harder to manipulate because she's often the one already trying to do the same to you. That said, she's a reasonable person, and doesn't go out of her way to hurt others, only take what is, in her mind, rightfully hers.
In love she is fiercely protective, but at a cost. Possessive, jealous, and somewhat hard to please unless you are as dedicated to her as she is to you.

Background
Frankie Taricani, as she has always been known, was born to criminal types in the mafia in the Northeast United States. She was primed and groomed to take over the whole business the family left to her, but refused to do it alone. She married a man in her early 20's named Asa Amauri, where she got her last name from.
They were fine for many years, and they ran the gang together with him running things as a figurehead while she did the plotting and managing of their resources. He was far more charismatic than she was, but nobody every questioned her when she gave orders, either.
One day, Asa made her throw it all away when he cheated on her with one of their maids. She let the girl go, knowing she'd fallen victim to his charm, but Asa was made into an example. Unfortunately, she was sloppy about it in her rage and got caught, leaving the family business she'd inherited from her now dead parents in shambles.
Her connections, fortunately, expedited her sentence and granted her house arrest rather than prison, and so she quickly became bored. Without a child to raise or anything, she moved to a small apartment with her fortune and took to playing a game she'd heard plenty about in her past. It had to be fun, right? Or at least, worth a look.
